We are getting close to the end by this installment but that does not me we get any fewer surprises thrown at us along the way. Macey has quite a few tasks in this new installment that will really push her limits in what she is willing to do in order to save the world and those she loves. I was hooked as the story kept moving wondering how things were going to play out when it is all said and done. The final book is so going to be epic!! I really liked it so I give it 4/5 stars.
I liked that this story took a more serious turn. Macey finally seems to be maturing and growing into her responsibilities. There is still a lot going on in her and her guys’ lives. Action, adventure, danger, drama, family issues, and still room for some sexy times. This one ends (not surprisingly) on a cliffhanger, and I am excited for the next book to see what happens next.

I’ve read a lot of books written by Laura Greenwood; she is one of my favorite authors. I can’t wait to read more of her books.
This is part of the Seven Wardens Series; the story continues with Macey trying to complete her mission before she put them all in danger.

The Wardens and especially Macey are hard at it, taking care of the bad guys, and now her brothers are causing trouble. Her dad is dead so she is now the Queen of the Kelpies as well as a Warden. Her mother is verified and known to her and gives her a story about a book she needs to find. The characters are wonderful. The storyline has plenty of action, drama, steam and suspense. Loved the adventure of finding your true self and whole heartedly believing is your own power.

The storyline of this 6th book in the series, the characters and the emotions experienced, have made this BOOK!
Macey is Queen of Kelpies as well as a Warden and all that roles comes with! Fortunately, she still has her men and her friends which is a HUGE help!
Not only are her brothers continuing to be a thorn in her side while stirring up a rebellion, but new challenges from the Daimon realm on top of that.
Well written and exciting!
‘Under the Ice’ is Laura Greenwood and Skye MacKinnon’s sixth book in their “Seven Wardens” series and this one seems to take a more dramatic turn than previous ones. If you haven’t started this series yet, be warned, this is not standalone. Each book is built upon the last keeping the storyline flowing in chronological order. There’s a lot happening here. Macey’s father is killed making Macey Queen of the Selkies whether she wants the position or not. Her brothers are spreading rumors about the monarchy and trying to start a civil war. She’s being badgered about having a wedding. And a magical book comes into play. The best part? Macey learns she has to believe in herself and their mission wholeheartedly or magic will disappear from Earth forever. This one was quite exhilarating and kept me turning pages to see what would happen and where we would be taken next.
Macey awakens then realizes it is because several of her men are loudly snoring. Cam also wakes so they go in search of sustenance when there is a knock at the door. It seems she has a visitor with an urgent matter to discuss. Her brothers have landed in Loch Katrine and are busily turning folks away from the Monarchy so Macey offers sanctuary in her home for anyone who needed it. Then Luc showed up. He and Macey are needed in the daimon realm so off they go. This story has the group traveling to various places in order to be rid of more of the blobs. There is plenty of action, romance, and steam plus the book ends with a cliffhanger. Highly recommended.

Starts out with Macey doing queenly duties then she comes up with the plan to put her cousin in charge until she comes back. A little down time for everyone and then they’re off on their next task. Travels, adventures, mistakes and fixes… this time it ends in self sacrafice… Amber sacrafices herself… no one is happy. They return to the house and mourn in their own way the loss of Amber, they hold a memorial during which Izban finally commits himself to their cause whole heartedly and vows to avenge Amber.

The sixth book is my favourite so far. This was so well done I really enjoyed reading it and the ending made me cry! They go to different places and fight the blobs but in doing so will lose something important. They learn things along the way too. About themselves and the world they live in. I would recommend this book.

Still in Turmoil . . .
Things are moving along rapidly. Macey is Queen of the Kelpies. Her brothers are stirring up a revolt because they want to steal the throne from her. Nessie had admitted that she is Macey’s mother. Luc, her daimon guide, is now part of her harem and his mother wants him married because it’s traditional for daimons to marry. It didn’t go over well when Macey told her no; since she can’t marry five men, she won’t marry one.
Allies will be added and loss will be encountered. The Wardens must fulfill their obligation of saving magic; they are the last stronghold. What will they encounter in Greenland? So many things are still happening around them, and it’s a continual battle to keep the world safe.
This is book six of the Seven Wardens series and sees Macey given the news that they are the last Wardens! Whatever they have to do to finally save the world could be the end of all of them and she will have to make the ultimate sacrifice. Nessie had a vision of what was to come and they need to seek out two books from the magical library in London, but the smaller one is only for Macey. If she opens it, then her fate will be decided and it will ask for a very high price from her! They are led to Greenland to help some supernatural beings against these black blobs of evil which seem to be draining magic from the world. But the Staran doesn’t take them where they should be going, as often happens. They are waylaid and Air is the hero in this part, allowing Macey to link with Luc to pull the others through. The voice from the little red book Macey has opened is asking for her help and they finally reach Greenland and meet a very small being, sort of gnome size, but smaller and more humanoid. He has called for help from the Wardens, in a last hope to rescue his brother who has become lost in a dream. Not an ordinary dream, as he has been attacked by one of these black blobs that wants him to bring it to his people. Something he has refused to do.
They also have been searching for the very portals these black blobs have been gaining entry to their world and where they have come from. They need to close these portals and destroy all the black blobs, however many there are, or their world will end. The dancers, who look like fallen angels with wings similar to Luc, dance in the skies, producing the lights of the Northern Skies. They have lost some of their families, being drawn into the portal, as they sacrificed themselves in an attempt to close it. Amber is the only one with the experience of fighting in a portal and surviving, but only just. She also knows about the wasteland where these evil beings seem to be easier to kill and they must make their plans appropriately. On top of all of this, Macey has had to put aside worries about her brothers and their plans to have her killed, as they seek the throne of the selkies, and a call to a meeting with the daimon court, brings about a visit with Luc’s mother, which doesn’t really go very well! Lots to come in the final book, as the battle to save the world will have to take place and a heavy price will be asked from all of them! I can’t wait to read the final book in the series and see what happens to them all and what future if any they may have. I received an ARC copy of this book from BookSprout and I have freely given my own opinion of the book above.
This is a fantastic story! I really enjoyed this story in the Warden series. I always enjoy the interactions between them. While Macey’s brothers are still on the loose, she has Warden duties that come up. There is a book that may help them or not. They are off to Greenland while they must help more supernatural beings. They agree to help them both. But it comes at a great cost. Who will pay the price?

I absolutely love this series. I don’t want to give spoilers because you definitely have to read this book, the whole series actually. Macey is now Queen of the kelpies and she finds out more upsetting and troubling secrets from her past. Her brothers are on a misson to make sure that one of them is the ruler of the kelpies and has been causing a lot of trouble and unrest in the kelpie world. Will Macey and her men be able to make sure that the people and themselves are safe? This story was so exciting and once again Laura Greenwood and Skye Mackinnon had drawn me into this world and I had a hard time pulling myself out. I can’t wait to get to the next story and all it’s goodness as well. Great read!

This installment was just as fantastic as the previous works. Macey keeps taking things as they come and dealing with what happens and going on and on. Her strength is something to be admired. The characters are great and keep growing over the course of the story and I am enjoying every minute of it. I can’t wait to see what happens next in the final installment.
Five out of five stars.

This series is just getting better and better. I’m really enjoying it. So much action and suspense with plenty of steam and romance. Still hasn’t been able to kill her brothers to stop a civil war and save her people. What’s a kelpie to do? 😉 Long to do list.

Under the Ice is the sixth book in the paranormal reverse harem series the Seven Wardens. It picks up where book five lets off so if you haven’t read book five or any of the other books in the series you may want to stop reading this review since it’ll probably contains spoilers to the previous books. You can’t read this book as a standalone each book is about Macey and the other wardens. Macey and her men go through a lot in this book.
When we left off of book five a lot of things had changed for Macey, the man she thought was her father (the king of the Kelpies) died suddenly, she’s going to have to take the role as Queen rather she wants it or not and Nessie finally confirmed she’s Macey’s mother. Luc her daimon guide is now part of her harem and the wardens have killed off more of the Mahoun’s siblings. Unfortunately finding her brothers, who are trying to start a civil war and save her people are still on the list to do. A Warden’s work is never done.

This book pushes story over relationships which helped to further the storyline as we come to the end of this series. This was an excellent addition to the series.
The sixth book in the Seven Wardens series, another well written story that kept me turning pages. A mysterious book will have Macey going to Greenland, and family is still giving her trouble. We are so clos to the conclusion. I will be reading the next book. I received a copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Things are building to a head and there is no room for doubt anymore. Our heroine has one last chance to pull it all together.
This is book six of the series. I strongly recommend starting at the beginning.
This is a paranormal romance story with a reverse harem theme and a dose of Scottish folklore thrown in for good measure. The story is well written and easy to read as I would expect. The characters and setting are also well developed and quite intriguing, almost as much fun as the plot itself. I particularly liked the Scottish elements seeded throughout. Speaking of the plot, it is a good one including plenty of mystery, twists and turns to keep things interesting. All together, this made for a fantastic read and I look forward to reading the next book of the series.
Highly recommended.

Those who are already familiar with the adventures of Queen Macey and her men will enjoy this part of their story. Not only do her brothers continue to stir up rebellion, but new challenges from the daimon realm, the sea kelpies and others keep Macey and her five lovers busy.
This has been a very intense series and you have to read them in order to know what’s going on.
