I was granted an ARC of Miranda Martin’s “Under His Wing: A SciFi Alien Romance (Celestial Mates)” via Booksprout; I’m recommending this book to others based upon its own merits. All opinions expressed within this review are uniquely my own & freely given!
Until next time… Happy Reading!
I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review. I recommend this book to anyone that likes aliens with wing books. Nina joins the intergalactic matchmaking to get away from a mother that wants to tell her who to marriage. Nina finds a good match in Adonael. He does not think that he is good for Nina. She crashes on the way to meeting him. It takes time for them to get together because of a war going on when she gets there. But in the end everything works out for them.
I loved the way the plot of this book flowed.
The chemistry between the characters is well developed.
Had trouble putting this book down because right from the
start I was hooked.

Under His Wing is the first book I’ve read in the Celestial Mates series. I found the storyline interesting and the two main characters, Nina & Aboneal, are very well developed and ones that you find you respect. Will each be able to accomplish what they set out to do. This is an action packed tale with adventure, war, conflict, intrigue, twists and turns, and much more. Looking forward to reading more of this series. Recommended. Received a copy and this is my voluntary and honest opinion.
This is a wonderful addition to the Celestial Mates series. The characters were wonderful and believable, the story line was entertaining and kept my attention. I wish it had been longer, but that is my only complaint. I’m ready for the next one!
I always love the Celestial Mates series and this book is absolutely fantastic!
From the moment that I started reading the first page, I was held in thrall! It kept me on the edge of my seat for the entire book! Full of great chemistry, action, humor and some great passionate scenes, you have to read the book!

I liked the characters and the chemistry was quite good and believable but the book on whole just didn’t really hold my attention.
***I decided to review an ARC of this book.***
Under His Wing by Miranda Martin is a great SciFi story to read. This story is sweet and a short read so if you love SciFi love stories then you will love this one and I highly recommend this story.

Miranda Martin writes a fabulous sci-fi romance that manages to leave a sweet sense of satisfaction. Always a good way to feel when I am finished reading any romance novel. Ooo, I enjoyed this book, especially when there was such a handsome hero, an alpha warrior with wings, whose very agenda of safeguarding his people and planet and the human he loves made such wonderful story.

I love the Celestial Mates series!!!! Who doesn’t love alpha male aliens and their snarky mates. I really enjoyed this book and the fact that Nina does not bow down and kiss her mothers tush. She is a strong capable woman that knows what she wants and it is not to be set up by her mother to a corporate man. Just like all the other books this author writes, the characters and world building are perfect.

This was a great story. Nina is so tired of her Mother meddling in her love life that Nina talked to Celeste and asked her to find her the perfect mate. (Maybe this is how the Celestial Mates came to be.)
Nina ends up taking off in a pod and crashing on a planet. This is where she meets Adonael. He flies with wings like an Angel. He is totally shocked when he sees her because he just had a vision of the very same person. Nina ends up having the adventure of her life. She’s in the middle of a battle between the Caelarans and the Vorkess. I’ll let you find out what happens between Nina and Adonael.

Another great book in the Celestial Mates series it is Nina and Adonael’s story . Nina signs on with Celestial Mates to get away from her Mother and ends up on Caelaran and in the middle of a war. This story had me turning pages, the ending is what surprised me. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
WHOOPSIE…
I’m reviewing an ARC copy of this book, and this is a voluntary, independent, and uncompensated review. WHAT THE BLEEP HAPPENED??? I’m so into Miranda Martin’s books. Her Red Planet Dragons series is the bomb, and it all started with a match made by Celestial Mates. I figured this would be an awesome addition to the Celestial Mates group of alien romances. I figured WRONG. This is SO BAD I had to make myself finish it. It makes n o sense at all. There is/is not a(n) attraction/romance/love story between the H and h – depending on which paragraph of which chapter you read. Adonael is a warrior/angel/soldier/religious cult member who does/does not believe what the elders teach – depending on which paragraph of which chapter you read. Nina, who signed up for Celestial Mates to get her marriage-minded match-making mother off her back, does/does not want to meet her match on Adonael’s planet, does/does not want to stay on his planet, and is/is not even interested in a permanent mate – depending on etc., etc., etc. To make matters murkier, Nina’s escort to the planet, who is from the big CM service itself, is an Ai, or a cyborg, or MIA – depending on where in the novel she comes up. And the whole dang planet is under attack by invading Vorkess, whose toxic weapon may or may not kill off all Adonael’s people, and Nina may/may not be able to read Adonael’s thoughts and assist him to defeat the Vorkess, and the elders may or may not know what’s up with the Celestial Mates service, and… and… You get my point. This is pages upon pages of poorly written verbal vertigo, sans plot, character development, romance, and even believable sex. I would not wish it on my worst enemy. I’m still gonna read Miranda Martin – hopefully this one is a forgettable oops, and her next book will show her as the imaginative world-builder and writer she truly is.
Celestial love…
While this story is very different for Ms. Martin’s other series, I still loved it. When Nina applies to Celestial Mates she is looking for a way to escape her mother’s matchmaking what she finds may be her true love.

Nina was hiding from her mother in a dark dressing room among the racks of clothing when she heard a kind voice ask her who she was hiding from. Of course she was hiding from her mother, not for the first time. Young ladies by the age of 23 were expected to be married and producing offspring to grow the population in their sectors at the Galaxra2 space station. But that was not in Nina’s plans! Jorda, a webbed alien friend, told her that her mother was probably gone by now. Her mother was constantly bringing men to look her over in an attempt to marry Nina off. Jorda told her to stay where she was and he would try to help find a solution. Nina decided to just dash past her mother and the man, with Jorda pretending she was in a big rush and hurrying her along so she couldn’t stop and socialize. The ruse worked for now. But Nina had a plan that would permanently outwit her mother. She was going to sign up for Celestial Mates! Once she was matched, she could pretend to her mother that it was more serious than it ever would be – and she would have to stop trying to pick a husband for her! And perhaps she would find the adventure she craved!
Adonael is a warrior and the Commander of the Caelaran. They are battling against the Vorkess and have lost many warriors. His friend Mihr was seriously injured in the last attack by a chemical fog that was devastating if breathed. Up until the fog, they had been victorious. With fewer warriors left each day, Adonael finds himself facing doubts. His people look to their prophecies for their future; he has to remain strong. Each warrior drank the ritual drink that let them see visions of battles, people, events – and Adonael saw a beautiful young woman. She was special and he had to find her. As Adonael and Nina are brought together, will she find her “match made in Heaven” or a battle she may not survive?
This was a good story. Nina was a smart, independent woman who wanted to live life on her own terms. Adonael was a leader who cared deeply for his people. The characters were definitely worthy of respect. The story line moves at an appropriate pace, although some of the Caelaran beliefs and way of life could be difficult to wade through. The characters made it all work, though. Get your copy and find out how the battle turns out and what the future holds for our heroes.
Sometimes there are bigger thing than us out there and we need a helping hand to get there and realize it.
Nina trying to escape her meddling mother lands right into the hands of her mate.
This was a well-written story with an amazing plot. I love how Celestial Mates is starting to be explained.
I received an advanced copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving an unbiased , honest review.
Our strong, sassy heroine will not quit and she embarks on a journey to avoid the mandatory marriage her mother wants to arrange. What happens next, just runs the gamet, from war to redemption, it’s a crazy ride.

I really enjoyed this book. I like the premise and the direction of the story. I think the backstory of certain characters could have been included. I feel the author should have gone into more depth into main characters instead of just glancing over them just enough to make sense. Other than that the book was amazing and I would definitely recommend this to others.

Love this author’s books. Celestial mates carries on. Alpha male aliens who meet feisty hot women. their circumstances are different but fun all the same. Exciting, emotional, fun, enjoyable and so much more. I was given a review copy and voluntarily review it.
This book has the celestial (angel) mating agency hard at work once more. There is a lot of tension between the characters; both of the good and bad type. A miscommunication leads to confusion and add an ongoing war into the mix and you have a recipe for a match made in….heaven? (Angels…get it?) Anyway, there are some humorous moments that, while seemingly inappropriate in some situations, do make the characters a bit more, er, human. It’s amazing how an author can make an alien being seem like a natural thing.
I do recommend this book, especially if you’ve read the other books in this series. It’s fun, it’s romantic and it will give you a new perspective when you look up into the night.
