Under His Skin by S.I. Hayes and J. Haney
Sounded like a great story to read and finally got the book and was not disappointed.
Story follows Charlie who is a tattoo artist among other artistic mediums, at her family’s shop in Gatlinburg, TN.
Dorian is part of the family amusement park empire and he’s banished from LA to TN to head up the new park there. He’s come across Charlie and has her do his back tat.
They spend time together and get to talking and one thing leads to another.
Love the drop of the hat travel plans. Am familiar with TN area and was surprised to hear about parts of other countries – what a bonus for me!
Lots of steamy sex scenes, very well detailed.
Love the opportunities that are given to her, priceless!
Like hearing of the mystery surrounding the shooting and how they solve that immediate problem. Everything goes into high gear as they are kept safe and other family personal emergencies arise.
Lots of action and adventure, travel, romance and mysteries along with real life situations. Great all around story.
Author bio’s at the end.
Received this review copy from the author and this is my honest opinion.
It Grabbed My attention and focus so strong I could not put it down. A word of advice when you get your copy. Grab a snack, a comfy seat, kick back and relax. You will not be moving until you finish this bad boy here. Remarkable job. Thanks for sharing.

This was a very well written Friends to Lovers slow burn. Bad boy Dorian must leave his fast-paced playboy life in LA for the Mountains of Tennessee where he meets feisty southern girl Charlie. He is definitely out of his element but he is on a mission with one rule stay out of trouble… These Authors take you on a journey of emotion, you feel for and with their characters. They peel back the layers of their Characters page by page so that you become just as invested in their story as they are. In addition to the feel-good comedic Southern banter, you have the addition of suspense that will keep you on the edge of your seat. I really liked both of these main characters, they were really well developed. I think this story shows that the right person can make you want to be a better human being, people can change. This book was a page-turner, I definitely recommend it! J. Haney
The title sure says it all I had a great time and was highly entertaining with each turn of the page. The characters are well developed and engaging and the storyline flowed smoothly from beginning to the end.

Bad boy millionaire Dorian meets small town sassy Charlie when she gives him a new tattoo. Sparks fly in this slow burn romance. I loved the banter between them as their friendship moves into something more with their hot and steamy chemistry. The authors do a great job bringing realistic characters and with throwing in humor along the way , making this an entertaining read. It’s well written, moves fluidly and is an entertaining story.

A great read! Dorian, an Amusement Park Prince, is forced to go to live in Tennessee due to his indiscretions, while there he decides to get some new ink. Charlie, is a tattoo artist in her family’s tattoo shop and meets Dorian when he comes in for his new tattoo. I loved the flirting and banter between these two. Charlie is quirky, feisty and has a style all her own, and is like no woman Dorian has ever met before. They become friends that slowly develops into so much more. A fantastic story and a definite must read.

Conrad was a firefighter and chosen for the poster boy as his face had no bruises on it. Talia was called in by her uncle the mayor since she was crisis manager to their bad reputations and the fighting with the cops at their charity games. She was falling for Conrad especially after seeing him on his job but her ex showed up and tried to blackmail her into giving him what he wants or he would put on the internet a video of them making out. But Conrad beat him to the punch so to speak, he got the firefighters and the cops to do the calendar and then he kissed Talia in front of everyone so his video would do no harm after all. Can’t wait for the next book!
Outstanding Romance…

Dorian’s not happy when his father sends him to Gatlinburg Tennessee for a year to work on the new amusement park his family is building.
Then he meets Charlie and to say these two got off on the wrong foot would be the understatement of the year. But there’s never a dull moment between them.

I decided to give this book a try since I do love tats and Charlie/Charlotte sounded like a pretty strong female lead. The rich boy theme is so overdone but I decided to risk it. Too me this book was like watching two inch worms slowly crawl down a long driveway. The book was well written it just had too many unnecessary descriptions of the most mundane things the characters were doing. “He got up from the bar stool, walked to the window, looked out the window, then walked across the room and sat back down.” Then the need to throw in a thesaurus word here and there didn’t really help the situation.
Charlie was supposed to be different than other women and man the author went out of their way to show you how different she was, the kooky outfits, the gun totting, the snippy comments yada yada it just made her seem more like a caricature than a real person.
Dorian is supposed to be this rich playboy that gets his way with women etc…he actually comes across as a nice guy. He’s into Charlie but he doesn’t push himself on her. He does play some one up games with her but he comes across as a young man with his stuff together. I mean he’s building an amusement park where people’s lives are in his hands. So this bad boy persona just doesn’t feel like him. He’s caring and considerate, yes a bit of hot head at moments but nothing to out there that you go dude you are a douche.
I did not feel any real chemistry between these two, they just felt like two friends that like to give each crap more than hot and heavy lovers. The danger was so over the top and almost cartoonish I was doing so many eye rolls that I sprained an eyelid. I started skipping pages and I don’t think I missed anything. This was the slowest build to nowhere that I have read in a while. The author has some skill remove half of the pages and the story would have been a bit tighter. Don’t try so hard with the characters, don’t get caught up in the overdone bad boy millionaire theme that’s going around. You have some good bones here and this story could have had some real edge instead it was as edgy as a rubber mallet.
