After the epic struggle of World War II, W.E.B. Griffin’s bestselling chronicle of the Marine Corps enters a new stage of modern warfare—with new weapons, new strategies, and a new breed of warrior—on the battlefields of Korea…In 1950, Captain Ken McCoy’s report on North Korean hostilities meets with so much bureaucratic displeasure that he is promptly booted out of the Corps—and just as … Corps—and just as promptly picked up by the fledgling CIA. Soon, his predictions come true: on June 25th the North Koreans invade across the 38th parallel. Immediately veterans scattered throughout military and civilian life are called up, many with only seventy-two hours notice. For these men and their families, names such as Inchon and Pusan will acquire a new, bloody reality—and become their greatest challenge of all…

a big fan of mr. Griffith.
I have read all of WEB Griffin’s Marine stories. He does very well with his characters making them people you can relate to. It is not so much about action as about the people and how deal with war.
Love all of Griffins series, historical and educational! Easy to read, learning history while enjoying the fictional characters woven into the stories!
This book is a nice followup to Griffin’s earlier series set in WW2. Reading it brought back many memories of that earlier series.
Love the WEB Griffin series (all of them) although it was apparent when WEB IV took over, (not quite the same), he seemed to leave a majority of the characters out.
I like most of the series put out by WEB Griffith. He is a formula writer and the editing could be better. I think that I have read this book three or four times and the series about the same. Stay away form the collaboration works with his son they are terrible. Luckily he has not expanded on the Corps series, even if I would like to see what finely happens to Pick and the others, I am not sure that I could stomach his sons attempt to continue the story line.
Another great installment in Griffin’s series about the Marines & OSS/CIA.
Griffin’s Corps series is excellent, the earlier books are solid 5. As time progresses there is a little repetitiveness, the story not quite as compelling. Still a solid 4,4.5 for fans of military fiction. Griffin does a great job weaving his characters into history and real life leaders in the military and government.
I like WEB Griffin’s books. He is a good researcher with the result that his stories are real.
to long
great
Another great story from the author, he can do no wrong
Griffin is my favorite author. Read each of his books as they were published and read them again in order/ series. As well as listening them on audibles.
He makes me feel as if I’m part of the story watching events unfold.
An incredible story teller.
Read it before in hardback. Great second time around!
Love the characters in this authors books. Nice to follow them through each book in the series. I like historical novels and although the characters are fictional, the history behind them is fact. Great author. I’ve read many of his series.
Hard to put down
Love WEB all of his books.
Typical Griffin work, I’v read them all (I think) an really enjoyed them!
I read it 10 years ago, so I don’;t remember much
Tried several times to continue reading it. Boring.
