This is one of her best books. I have read all of her books. This is a 4 part story about abuse and how the it affects a family and community.
Awesome read!!
I love that Ms. Roberts is dealing with serious issues and still able to balance her stories with the resilience of human nature. Her plot and character development have made me a loyal reader for over 30 years, and as long as she continues to write, I will continue to buy her books.
The style of writing in Nora Roberts’s UNDER CURRENTS is unique. The distinctive main characters tell their stories. Their stories intersect to complete the picture of surviving physical and emotional abuse. UNDER CURRENTS is a good, easy read.
Excellent
As usual, Nora Roberts delivers a well written story of romance and suspense. A must read for her fans.
The book starts in violence, but you needed it to see the amazing people that Zane, and his sister Britt, have become; to see how family can be recreated, out of different people, and how a community can embrace each other.
Zane and Darby are as different as can be, but having both suffered different forms of violence in their pasts. These two are the couple that shouldn’t work but do. He’s a hardworking former prosecutor who has come home to practice family law, she’s a landscaper who after personal tragedy leaves home to start over.
There are so many interwoven storylines, the various characters that Nora is famous for creating. and the drama and love flow through.
This has one of my favorite books. I usually like JD Robb better then Nora Roberts but this one I really enjoyed.
It was so sad in the beginning, but the characters became stronger through the story. They learned so much about themselves through their trials.
Roberts rules!!
This was a somewhat predictable book, but it does make the point, once again, to those of us who manage to live for the most part unaware, that abuse is rampant. We need to be reminded—every day, and while this did that, it didn’t beat us to death and demand that we join a march. Some of us are better motivated with a more subtle appeal. This book made me know that I can do more. I can do better. Maybe in just a small way, but that will be okay.
I read everything Nora Roberts 0r J D Robb writes Always great reads.
Nora Roberts is one of my favorite authors. This book did not disappoint. The book was long enough to establish the characters and make you care about them.
I loved this book!
Nora Roberts truly knows how to build believable characters and weave compelling stories. She is one of the very few authors whose work I will buy without reading the reviews first. I have never been disappointed by any of her books. Under Currents was one I didn’t want end. Domestic violence is a difficult topic to broach, but Nora writes about it in a gritty, truthful fashion where our heroes have their HEA in the end.
Another Robers book goes onto my “read again” list!
Relates to current times
I liked the characters, the family connections, strong friendships, the romance, and the suspense of wondering what will happen next. I always like Nora Roberts.
Due to subject matter, I found parts of this really hard to read, but I got my happy ever after along with a hefty book hangover. It goes on my re-read pile.
Another wonderful read by Nora. She touches on almost every emotion possible in this book.
Loved it!
OMG. THIS BOOK IS A 7. Not a 5 Couldn’t put it down. AWESOME BOOK
