The final installment in the Reckless Beat series.Haunted by a kiss. With his destructive marriage behind him, Ryan Bennett can no longer deny his insatiable attraction to the one woman in control of his future. He needs her. Craves her. She’s the only glimpse of happiness through the building drama in his life and yet one drunken kiss has pushed her further away. Tormented by what’s at stake. … away.
Tormented by what’s at stake.
Leah Gorman’s management contract states she can never act on her feelings for any members of the Reckless Beat band but Ryan has always owned her heart. No matter how long he’s held her captive with his deep soul and easy friendship, he’s off limits. End of story. If only her heart would get the memo. She can’t resist him. Even when their attraction gets in the way of her job.
The price of love is high. Is it worth the cost?
With Leah’s career on the line and Ryan’s reputation in tatters, ignoring their attraction may prove safer than risking everything they hold dear. They have to decide what matters most—their years of friendship, or a chance at love that will destroy them both if they can’t make it work.

Since the very first book in the Reckless Beat series I have wanted to read Ryan’s story, I don’t know why I found him intriguing and quiet and you just knew there was a good man underneath the rock and roll and this book did not disappoint at all absolutely loved it. I won’t say it’s my favourite because I have loved each book in there own way and a big fan of this series.
This book had it all for me, angst, drama, there were times I laughed out loud and there were times I got emotional over the story because all I wanted for Ryan was a big fat happy ending he deserved it.
I really loved how Ryan would try to fight for what he wanted, but then would realised when he thought it was best to back off he fought even harder for himself, he was selfless 99% of the time but that 1% he would go hard. I absolutely loved Ryan but god Mason is one awesome funny character.
Leah was driven and all she had were her work and the boys, she lost her friends, her family and most times thought she was alone, she tried to go find herself but it always brought her back to the man she had been in love with for so long and the thing I admired from her was her passion and her grit.
This is an absolutely fantastic story and brilliant series I have read about Rock Stars and bands and the trial and tribulations they go through to be happy and successful. If you have started reading this series it’s a must.
A big, huge, massive 5 Stars for this book and a trillion stars for this series loved everything about it.
Ryan has spent years suffering in a loveless marriage while all his band mates indulged in drinking, partying, and sleeping with groupies. He’s always been the one to do the right thing. Which means even though he’s in love with Leah, his band manger, he’ll never act on those feelings. Leah has focused her life and career on managing Reckless Beat. Her contract clearly states she cannot become involved with any of the members of the band, so she’s secretly loved Ryan from afar. A pending divorce, a vindictive soon to be ex-wife, a publicity stunt, a manipulative record label, and undeniable true love. Eden Summers hits a home run with the conclusion to her Reckless Beat series.
This FABULOUS book is #5 in the Reckless Beat series and it features Leah and Ryan. The drama these two went through separately was nothing compared to what they went through together. Their ups and downs were uplifting and heartbreaking. I laughed and I cried for them. Through it all Mitch, Blake, Mason and Sean stood next to their band mate and their band manager and…interfered whenever necessary. So funny! Its really touching to watch these manly, dirty talking rockers get emotional over their significant others. In this book the member least likely to shed a tear is actually doing just that. You’ll have to read it to find out why.
Eden Summers is a brilliant author! The twists and turns in this story each had their place, the writing is smooth and leaves no stone unturned. The characters are so AMAZING I wish they were my friends. I love this “goodbye for now” book in this HIGHLY RECOMMENDED series. Until we meet again Reckless family…
A great book to end the series. This book was a tear-jerking, uphill battle from the start. There were twists and turns I didn’t see coming. And that made this book all the more worth while. It’s Such a fabulous ending as well. I highly recommend the series.
Book five in the Reckless Beat series. Full length final book in the series can be read and enjoyed as standalone, but so much better if you’ve read the series in order. Reckless Beat is a band and each book is about a different member, but the secondary characters are the same throughout the series. There is some drama and outside forces working against Ryan and Leah’s HEA, but this was a satisfying conclusion to the series. I loved the epilogue and hope we get more from Reckless Beat in the future!!
