From USA Today bestselling author Melanie Harlow comes a heartwarming childhood frenemies-to-lovers, second chance romance!
When we were eleven, Oliver Ford Pemberton dared me to jump off a barn roof. He said you couldn’t break a leg from a 12-foot-jump.He lied.(You can also break a collarbone, which served him right as far as I was concerned.) I wish I could say it was the last dare I ever took … lied.
(You can also break a collarbone, which served him right as far as I was concerned.)
I wish I could say it was the last dare I ever took from him, the last bet I ever made with him, the last time I ever trusted Oliver Ford Pemberton.
But it wasn’t.
Because he had the nerve to grow up gorgeous, charming, and sexy. And as we got older, the dares only got dirtier–and the betting stakes higher–until finally, he left me in pieces. I swore I’d never talk to him again.
But twenty years after I took that flying leap, he’s back in my life, daring me to risk everything for him: my job, my self-worth, and my heart.
How many chances does true love deserve?
“Sizzling chemistry, off the charts sexual tension and all the feels I’ve come to expect with a Melanie Harlow romance!”- Ilsa Madden-Mills, Wall Street Journal bestselling author

I couldn’t wait for book 2 in this series!! I’m anticipating all the sisters books!! This is Chloe and Oliver’s story. Their moms were best friends so these two have grown up side by side (Oliver is actually 2 days older). Oliver’s always been there pushing her buttons and daring her and keeping her on her toes. He’s also left her hanging through the years and never sticks to what he says so she had made up her mind to have nothing to do with him…until he shows up at Cloverleaf with this elaborate idea to partner up with Chloe on a big business scheme which they had discussed in the past. But can she actually trust him to follow through and keep his word this time? She agrees to go on a week long trip with him so he can prove himself to her.
Great story!! I devoured this sitting by the pool! This is basically second chance /enemies to lovers which are two of my favorites tropes!! Loved the chemistry between Chloe and Oliver!! So good!! Highly recommend this series!! All can be read as standalone but why not read them all!?! Can’t wait for the next one!! 4.5 stars!!
Ms. Harlow has quickly become one of my go to authors. She always delivers on her stories. Chloe and Oliver’s story is an enemies to lovers story that quickly pulled me in. We had met Chloe in book 1 of this series, but this can be read as a standalone. Olive and Chloe had always had a love hate, very competitive relationship growing up, until they both started having feelings for one another and handled it badly. Now that they are both grown up, and Chloe and Oliver both need each other in their lives for different reasons, its time to see just how compatible these enemies are.
This story sucked me in and I loved watching Oliver and Chloe fall for one another. The way that their relationship changed gave me all of the feels. Watching Oliver especially really put a lump in my throat. This was a great read in this series.
This book did not disappoint. Chloe and Oliver were childhood friends and eventually they were more until Oliver broke her heart. Their second chance was messy and complicated but man these two stole my heart.
This series keeps getting better and better!! Loved Chloe and Oliver’s story! Their banter, their history and their love…it was great!!! Cant wait for more!!
Once again another great story from Melanie. I really enjoyed Chloe and Oliver’s story. All if their stories from growing up. The chemistry between the two is Undeniable. Loved it
I knew after reading the first book in this series I was going to need the next one. The Cloverleigh Farms series is about sisters. Undeniable is about Chloe and Oliver with dual pov’s. I love when we get both our hero and heroine’s pov. If you like second chance romances you will love this one.
Cloverleigh Farms is a family run business and very successful. Chloe and Oliver grew up together and have always been friends. They were daring each other and where one was the other was not far behind. As they got older they eventually became rivals.
Chloe wants to run a distillery but lacking the funds. When Oliver steps in and offers to help her things get interesting. He has a successful distillery and can show her how to run one.
I couldn’t put this book down once I started. I highly recommend this second chance romance.
This is the second book in the Cloverleigh Farms series, though it’s a stand-alone, and I loved it!
Second chance and friends to lovers are two of my top favorite genres…the authors does a fantastic job combining both with this book!
If I had to pick my favorite thing about the story, hands down it would be the banter between Oliver and Chloe!!! It was so fun to read….
If you’re looking for a well written, fun, light hearted read, pick up this book and the one before it. They feel good, almost the whole time, make you laugh and warm your hearts. You won’t be disappointed! Highly recommend!
This is not the story to read when I have insomnia because I was never able to fall asleep until I read the last page. This is the second book in the Cloverleigh Farms series.
Oliver and Chloe have known each other since birth. Born to mother’s who were best friends. It was never a good time for them until it was.
This is a best friend to lover romance. They love to hate each other, but there’s a fine line between love and hate. It was an addicting story that consumed me, a solid page turner.
It think it could be safely read as a standalone. Told in a dual POV with an HEA. I highly recommend this story.
5 star Review Undeniable (Cloverleigh Farms #2) by Melanie Harlow
Having read the first book in the Cloverleigh Farm series, I was excited to see what Melanie Harlow had in store for Chloe Sawyer.
I knew Chloe would need a strong and determined man to capture and keep her heart. I was a little surprised by Oliver Ford Pemberton who I had a bit of trouble liking initially.
Oliver may be hot and charming but he is also the one who broke Chloe’s heart. Now he is back wanting another chance. The question is will Chloe put everything on the line for Oliver?
Chloe is such a fabulous character. She is strong, determined, feisty and above all committed to her family.
The chemistry between Chloe and Oliver is intense and it only intensified as the story progresses. There is a fine line between love and hate and Undeniable is a great example of this. The banter between them was at tines frustrating and humorous.
The secondary characters were awesome, particularly Oliver’s grandmother, who was so funny at times all the while calling a spade a spade.
Another great read from Melanie Harlow and i look forward to reading more in this series soon.
Chloe and Oliver’s story is one of second chances. They have known each other forever and have been friends and more and they stumble with trust issues. Their road to HEA is long and bumpy but worth everything they’ve gone through. Though this book is the 2nd in a series it is a stand-alone but you don’t want to miss out the first. The Sawyer girls are definitely not ones to miss out on. I absolutely loved this story and it is absolutely a must read!!
I gave this book 4 stars only because I didn’t fly thru this book like I normally do and I can only blame that on being distracted. The story was sweet, charming, and interesting. The rye backstory was captivating and done right. Sometimes stories have a way of going into too much detail, then it turns into a how to manual. That wasn’t the case for Oliver and Chloe. These two felt like an old story that you reread for comfort. There was a tiny bit of heat and a lot of intimate moments that made you fall in love with the characters just like they were relearning to fall in love with each other again. I’m really enjoying the series and can’t wait for the next book.
What can I say, I’m a sucker for second chance romance. And I was so not disappointed.
Oliver and Chloe have known each other all their lives. They have played hard and tried to love harder. He was her first love and first broken heart. But can Oliver truly have changed? Is Chloe ready to forgive?
Thrown together in business, Oliver is determined to prove he has changed and deserves that second chance.
I loved Oliver even with all his faults.
Take a leap and grab this! I dare you!
Growing up there is always that one person who pushes you to step outside of the comfort zone. For Chloe – Oliver was the soul mate that constantly dared her to take risks in life. From an early age the two were inseparable and that bond continued into their early adult years. Two friends who shared a connection that couldn’t be broken, until the moment their friendship was shattered.
Years have passed and Chloe is about to experience quite the shock from an announcement made by her father. With the thoughts of retirement in the forefront, Chloe’s father has arranged for Oliver to guide Chloe through the ins and outs of their family business. Per the arrangement, Chloe will have to spend a lot of time with Oliver to learn all that is required for producing a label that will be unique to Cloverleigh.
The announcement propels Chloe to face a past that is less than stellar where Oliver is concerned. With a tattered relationship, Oliver has a lot of making up to do if he wants to win back Chloe’s friendship. The only problem is Oliver’s habitual way of always screwing up things with Chloe. Determined to give in to the attraction, Oliver sets out to win Chloe over through their business venture. There is only one problem. Oliver has a secret of his own that is threatening to blow the entire deal that he has planned for the family business. Can Chloe salvage the remnants of their friendship and find a way to forgive Oliver?
Cloverleigh Farms is back in the spotlight with the latest book released by Melanie Harlow. As the second book in the series, Undeniable has found a way to upend its predecessor. Pulled into this tale of the good guy who slighted his childhood sweetheart, I really had my doubts about Oliver. I’ll admit, I wasn’t too keen on Chloe forgiving him for one single minute. Then Oliver’s plan to help the business came to light, and I found myself laughing and rooting for him after all.
Oliver has come a long way since daring Chloe to jump off the roof. Has he earned the ability to worm his way back into Chloe’s heart? Only time and a stellar road trip will reveal Oliver’s true intentions. So – hang on to the backseat, this ride is about to get pretty winding but it is definitely worth it!! Undeniable is a great addition to the Cloverleigh Farms series!!
Oliver and Chloe were amazing!!!! Childhood friends BUT not your typical childhood friends love story. These two bantered so much as kids that you would never think that they will fall for each other. You can tell there was attraction but not something so obvious which made the story even better. Things changed between them their freshman year of college. This is when things went to a whole other level of hotness and disappointments. Their love/hate relationship kept me turning the pages. When they fought it was hard and hot but you can tell the love between these two that was meant to be. And the epilogue was priceless especially with the things Oliver says, lol. Oliver had his flaws but his weakness was always Chloe.
Melanie Harlow is one of my favorite small town romance writers. She always adds in this sweet southern charm to them. Undeniable was even sweeter with its second chance and the entire frenemies to lovers vibe. Oliver and Chloe might have this whole hate thing going on but they are beating the attraction back with pure brute mental strength. The banter coming from these two let me know that I was in store for something insane when they finally touched. It was! They were everything I know they could be!
Miss Harlow wrote some of her best work here… the sexual tension, the quick wit and fun banter, the past and present flip and flop made this book completely impossible to put down! I’m just ticked with this storyline… I feel like Melanie Harlow gave us more in Undeniable than I expected! There was this mysterious feel… what was Oliver really thinking? Did he have devious intentions? Did he want more? Did he want Chloe? Was this just another mind game. Miss Harlow managed all of this and gave me a dual POV. So even though I was in both there minds, I still wasn’t sure where to go. Solid 4.5 star rating from me!
I received an ARC of this book with the hope that I would leave an Unbiased Opinion. I was not required to leave a review, positive or otherwise, and my opinions are just that… my opinions.
No more games, no more bets, no more running away. This time it’s the real thing.
“I’d known Oliver practically since birth, and if I knew one thing about him, it was that he could not be trusted. All of his ideas got us into trouble . . . I wish I could say it was the last dare I ever took from him, the last bet I ever made with him, the last time I ever trusted fucking Oliver Ford Pemberton. But it wasn’t. Not even close.”
Headstrong and competitive, Oliver and Chloe have always been causing mischief – the trouble makers in their families – always trying to out-do one another and thick as thieves growing up. Oliver with more charm than prudence, and a caviler and self-centered attitude left him with a lot of maturing to do. While Chloe is creative, ambitious and fierce, her one weakness has always been Oliver.
“I never wanted to be the girl he left behind.”
Chloe and Oliver’s story is the definition of a love/hate, frenemies-to-lovers romance. Filled with witty banter, sizzling chemistry, angst, heartbreak, second-chances and new beginnings their story is told NOW and THEN. And quite honestly, every time we went back through the years my dislike for Oliver grew, while my heart went out to Chloe. She always gave him a second-chance, gave him another piece of her heart and got it broken. There’s years of resentment to overcome and it took a whole lot of character growth and even more second chances for Oliver to even start to get Chloe (and me) to trust in him again.
“ . . . I feel something for you. No matter how much time passes, or how long I go without seeing you, it never goes away. The moment I’m with you again, it hits me”—he put a hand on his bare chest—“right here.”
Their story is unconventional, with zigs and zags, ups and downs, but Chloe and Oliver’s chemistry has always been undeniable – always bringing them back together no matter how far apart they were, with fate (and a little help from a grannie with lots of moxie) leading them back to one another.
“So come on, Dimples. Say yes. I dare you.”
3.5 stars
Undeniable is the newest stand-alone story in the Cloverleigh Farms Series by Melanie Harlow. The Cloverleigh Farms Series picks right up where book 3 of the One and Only Series left off, and I was so excited to see Chloe get her own story too!
Melanie’s writing is always so unique and I always appreciate the way she builds a backstory and history throughout her works. Her characters from previous novels always come back to visit throughout. Mack, Frannie, and all our other faves from Cloverleigh Farms all make an appearance in this book.
The main character, Chloe, is an independent woman who has dreamed of making her own line of spirits. She is taking over distribution at the farm and is interested in finally pursuing her dream of developing her own line. It is something she once dreamed up with her old friend Oliver, who left her hanging years ago and stole the idea out from under her, unbeknownst to her family. The story begins with her father attempting to set up a partnership between her and her long lost friend to try and secure the knowledge and training she’ll need to begin her own business. However, Chloe can’t trust Oliver, no matter how hard he tries to convince her that he’s changed.
Enter Oliver, Chloe’s childhood friend, whom she’s always had a connection with and never been able to resist a dare from. Oliver has run from her hard and fast for as long as he can. But while he still harbors feelings for her, and hopes she feels the same, he also needs her help to secure his future.
The two have been attracted to each other for some time but are convinced that the other doesn’t feel the same. The story takes us back and forth in time, reliving the heartbreaking twists that pushed them apart in years past. The question is whether Chloe can ever grow to trust Oliver again, and whether he is worthy of that trust.
Melanie Harlow is always successful at writing true to life character’s with real flaws and fears and weaving a story that endears them to you. Chloe and Oliver’s story was beautiful and I loved watching these characters develop. As a reader, I always appreciate how Melanie wraps her tales in such a way that satisfies my curiosity about what happens next for the characters.
I loved this story and I would highly recommend it. Can’t wait to read the rest of the series!
Oooh I loved this one more than the first book! This is Chloe (Frannie’s sister we met I book 1) and Oliver’s story. It’s a second chance romance, ok maybe more like 3rd or 4th chance! The chemistry and push/pull in this story was so well done. There was a great amount of tension, angst, fun and sexy times too. Oliver is a rich boy who has always known how to push Chloe’s buttons, ever since they were kids. Chloe’s temper runs hot and she never backs down from a challenge. We get the past mixed in with now, which really worked well to tell their story! I voluntarily reviewed an ARC.
I don’t care what Corinne Michaels thinks.. Oliver is mine! Gah, I loved this book so dang much. Melanie has this ability to touch your soul with every word she writes. She draws you into her worlds and you’ll never want to leave. Utter perfection. Can’t wait to see what she gives us next. Read this.. now.
Undeniable is the second book in the Cloverleigh Farms series and is a second chance/friends to lovers story about Chloe and Oliver who have known each other from birth and who grew up together, and had the occasional moment of hooking up here and there at different points throughout their relationship but then went on about their different ways.
This story finds them reconnecting over a new business venture and it seems like the old feelings haven’t really gone away for either of them. Undeniable alternates between the past and present, which offers a fun and interesting perspective to the story and a nice way to understand their shared past, and I really enjoyed this about the book.
I did feel like the story started off a little slow and I had a little difficulty connecting with the characters, mainly Oliver, but otherwise, this was a really cute friends to lovers, second chance romance with a HEA.
