From USA Today bestselling author Melanie Harlow comes a heartwarming childhood frenemies-to-lovers, second chance romance!
When we were eleven, Oliver Ford Pemberton dared me to jump off a barn roof. He said you couldn’t break a leg from a 12-foot-jump.He lied.(You can also break a collarbone, which served him right as far as I was concerned.) I wish I could say it was the last dare I ever took … lied.
(You can also break a collarbone, which served him right as far as I was concerned.)
I wish I could say it was the last dare I ever took from him, the last bet I ever made with him, the last time I ever trusted Oliver Ford Pemberton.
But it wasn’t.
Because he had the nerve to grow up gorgeous, charming, and sexy. And as we got older, the dares only got dirtier–and the betting stakes higher–until finally, he left me in pieces. I swore I’d never talk to him again.
But twenty years after I took that flying leap, he’s back in my life, daring me to risk everything for him: my job, my self-worth, and my heart.
How many chances does true love deserve?
“Sizzling chemistry, off the charts sexual tension and all the feels I’ve come to expect with a Melanie Harlow romance!”- Ilsa Madden-Mills, Wall Street Journal bestselling author

Oliver and Chloe formed a bond when they were children that has withstood the test of time. First being introduced by their parents as children, these two quickly formed a friendship, that carried them through their grade school years, teen years, college years, and now adulthood. But somewhere along the way this friendship strayed into something a little more serious, and at times the outcome wasn’t always pretty. Immaturity lead them to make decisions that neither were prepared to handle, and their friendship suffered, often leading them to take a break from one another for a year or more.
A few years have passed since their last interaction. The last time these two tangled with one another it lead to two broken hearts and a lot of unresolved feelings. But a mutual love for the whiskey business is about to reunite them… rather their ready for it or not!
Undeniable is a perfectly penned second chance love story that will squeeze your heart in all the right places. These two wounded souls, and their imperfect past create a dramatic and emotional story line that tugs on the heartstrings, and brings overwhelming intensity and scorching heat to the pages. This beautiful story line alternates between past and present giving readers the back story that landed these two at odds with one another, and then tells how their love of running a distillery pulls them back together. I loved this newest installment in the Cloverleigh Farm series, it was everything I have come to expect from Ms. Harlow, and so much more, the feels were unreal with this one!!! She had me near tears one minute and swooning like a fool the next! If you like your stories brimming with heart penetrating emotion and toe curling heat then I highly suggest you get your hands on this one, it’s got everything your looking for and more!
I requested an advanced copy of this title from the publisher, and I am voluntarily leaving my honest opinion.
Melanie has done it again!! I’m not sure how she creates such amazing worlds and characters, but every time I read her books all I want to do is live in those worlds! I LOVED the history between Chloe & Oliver!! I loved watching them both grow up and figure out how to have a future together!! Pure perfection!

OMG the whiplash is so real in this one. Chloe and Oliver, while highly enjoyable, definitely took me on a crazy ride that pulled out all the feels and kept me turning the pages until the very end.
I loved Chloe. This girl has moxie in spades. Sassy, snarky, fearless and impulsive ~ she doesn’t hold back, even when it would be in her best interest to. Oliver. Here’s the thing about Oliver. I liked him. I really did. He’s charming, playful and has a sneaky mind that I love, but he has this “thing” he constantly does (I know, I’m horrible by not coming clean about “it” but I can’t) that drove me batshitcrazy and had me wanting to gut him with a spoon many, MANY times while telling to “man the fuck up”. Thankfully, he does have a lightbulb moment which saved him in the end.
Chloe and Oliver’s relationship gave me whiplash. No matter how much I ended up enjoying them together, they gave me whiplash with their revolving door of being friends to enemies and everything in between. And while neither were absolutely innocent in the process, I do tend to lay most of the ‘enemy’ more on one side of the coin than the other. But despite their rocky ride, what is absolutely obvious is that they were perfect for each other, and that there were the only ones who could put up with each other, so in the end I was happy that they finally worked things out and got their HEA.
This was a fun read. I liked how Chloe and Oliver’s story was told with the dual 1st person POV’s and the flashbacks which gave me a true understanding of just how intertwined they really were with each other. It was also fun to catch up with Fannie and Mack and their brood and Gran totally rocked and I cannot wait to see what’s in store for April!

This is a lovely second chance romance story. I loved Chloe and ok, I spent a bit of time being mad at Oliver, and rightfully so, but I loved him too.
Chloe and Oliver have grown up together from being babies. They’re both competitive and they’ve had a lot of ups and downs, probably more downs than ups. They haven’t seen each other for years and this is Oliver’s chance to fix things. Only Oliver isn’t too bright and he messes everything up!
I really wanted to bash these two characters heads together half the time. The story goes from past to present so we slowly find out what’s happened in the past to make Chloe so angry with Oliver. Oliver’s Gran was a great character and she certainly made the story interesting.
I’m hoping there’s more Chloe and Oliver to come. Four stars.
Undeniable by Melanie Harlow is the second standalone romance in her Cloverleigh Farms series. Told in dual POV between Oliver and Chloe this frenemies to lovers, second chance romance also masterfully flits between the past and the present slowly drawing all the elements of Chloe and Oliver’s epic romance together into a perfectly packaged bundle of awesome that is this book. From the ridiculous dares as children, to the confused teenage attraction, to the commitment fears of the mid 20’s to the here and now. Each and every word pulled you in and made you part of their story. I was on the island with them envisioning the past story of Rebeccah and tasting the rye (figuratively, no drinking was done while reading this book). Melanie Harlow has definitely hit the must-rad author list for me. And if anyone actually rads more than the random review of mine here or there, you’ll notice my tendency for high ratings. I may be a little less-hypercritical than some, I am easy to please, BUT, I know what I like to read and have been very fortunate in finding authors I can connect with, characters that I love, and I feel I choose wisely and am almost always rewarded well. Undeniable was amazing and emotional and gave me gooseys here and there. Enjoy!
Undeniable is a second chance romance story, but for me it kind of fell into a couple of other categories as well: friends to lovers and even a little bit of enemies to lovers. Chloe and Oliver have known each other their entire lives and growing up they did a lot of stupid things based on dares from each other. They were super competitive and could never stand losing to each other. Being constantly pushed together by their moms growing up, it was inevitable that their feelings for each other would morph into something more than friends at some point.
I really liked the constant push and pull between these two characters. They had the perfect love/hate type of relationship that makes for a great read. It was so obvious there was strong chemistry between Chloe and Oliver, but too many things had happened between them growing up for Chloe to feel like she could ever trust Oliver again, no matter what her feelings for him were.
I have to admit, I was not a fan of Oliver at all during this read. With the story set up with points of view from both Chloe and Oliver in past and present chapters, I really could not get on board with everything that Oliver put Chloe through. And as confident and headstrong as Chloe was, when it came to Oliver, all her defenses just disapear and she opens herself to him time and time again, only to have him break her heart all over again.
After everything that Oliver has put Chloe through the past 20 years, he’s now back in town and presenting her with an opportunity to realize her dream of opening a distillery. She just has to spend a week with him so he can convince her its the right thing to do. And the time they spend together is amazing and everything she’s ever wanted. But has Oliver really changed his ways, or is he going to end up breaking Chloe’s heart one las time?
Melanie always does an amazing job of drawing me into the story and I couldn’t turn the pages fast enough to see how everythng was going to turn out. I loved the secondary characters, it was great to see Frannie and Mack again, and Oliver’s grandmother was an amazing lady! As for Oliver, he does redeem himself in the end, but by then it was too little too late for me. I know lots of women are going to swoon hard over him and that’s great, he just didn’t win me over.
This was a fun read, I did enjoy the banter between Chloe and Oliver and seeing them grow from little kids into adults. I am excited to find out who the next Cloverleigh story will be about!
For the record, it’s a rarity for me to rate any of the Melanie Harlow-penned books I’ve read lower than five stars mainly because I adore them to pieces–save for one time last year, and that had a lot to do with my not connecting with the female main character. Well, in the case of Undeniable, I struggled quite a bit to like the male main character and even found myself shaking my head at his female counterpart. I loved Chloe and Oliver’s frenemies-to-lovers story that had an nth-chance feel to it, and as always, the family angle was a winner. Here’s the thing, though: Oliver made it difficult to like him. He had a bad habit of manipulating a situation in order to benefit from it, usually resorting to stretching the truth or hiding pertinent information. Also, while he may have had some affection for Chloe through the years, he couldn’t seem to help sabotaging whatever progress he made in terms of moving their relationship from friends to more because once they’ve taken a step forward, he does or says something that has them taking a leap back. Chloe isn’t blameless, either, since she had a habit of taking him back.
While I may not have been a fan of Oliver’s, I did happen to like Chloe. Yes, she was somewhat easily persuaded when it came to him and it was like she never really learned her lesson–the whole “fool me once, shame on you, fool me twice, shame on me” popped in my head a number of times whenever these two had their issues growing up–I did love her drive and ambition. She was a loving daughter and sister and she also happened to be a woman who saw greater things for the family business and wouldn’t let something like her issues with Oliver get in the way. And for the record, Oliver did redeem himself and I did end up liking the guy enough for me to feel he was worthy of Chloe’s heart, although he was cutting it really close there. As always, Melanie Harlow knows how to put together all the usual elements of a romance novel while also adding her own touch to it–that great balance of heat and heart and doses of wit and angst. So, while Undeniable may “only” be getting four stars, I definitely enjoyed the tale that Chloe and Oliver had to tell, and I look forward to reading the third Cloverleigh Farms novel.
I loved this story. Friends to lovers with lots of steam and second (and third and fourth) chances.
Chloe Sawyer and Oliver Ford Pemberton grew up together and have a love/hate relationship. Oliver has hurt Chloe many times, but she always finds herself forgiving him and giving another chance. Oliver is sexy and stubborn and Chloe is sassy and strong. They butt heads more than once. The glimpses of the most important parts of their past together really brings the story to life. The emotions are strong and you want to slap Oliver more than once. You can’t help but love him though.
Another truly amazing book from Melanie Harlow. It’s the second book in the Cloverleigh Farms series but can be read as a standalone. I can’t wait for more of the Sawyer family.
Another amazingly well written book by Melanie Harlow!
Undeniable is the the 2nd standalone book in the Cloverleigh Farms Series about Chloe Sawyer and Oliver Ford Pemberton. It is a second chance and frenemies to lover book with all the emotional feels.
Chloe is reliable, caring and stubborn but has a reasons to be stubborn when it comes to Oliver Pemberton. Oliver is arrogant and preppy and comes from a very rich family. Their story starts as babies born to moms who were best friends. They also seem to be the troublemakers in the family with Oliver always daring Chloe to do things that would get them into trouble as kids. Their relationship was undeniable from the start with all the emotional ups and downs.
The chemistry of these two characters was off the charts. I absolutely loved their story. This book is an absolute must read.
Wow, I absolutely loved this story! It was something I had never seen before and was just mind blowing in its greatness. Absolutely perfect story Read review
Oliver and Chloe have known each other all of their lives. They have been friends and they have been enemies. After years apart because Oliver can’t stop being a jerk, Chloe has to decide if she wants to go into business with him like they planned when they were younger. But Oliver has some secrets he’s still keeping and what will happen when they come out.
Melanie added more feelings and insight to this series. Meeting Oliver and Chloe and following them through their journey was amazing.
Melanie Harlow is my go to author when I want a swoony lovey dovey kind of book. I loved Frannie and Mack’s story so I knew I would love Chloe and Oliver’s. Their relationship with each other is comical, irritating, but full of so much love. I laughed at their banter back and forth, and I cried when Chloe got hurt. But I also loved when they realized their love for each other was real and true. I can’t wait to read more of the Cloverleigh Farm sisters!
Just what I needed! An hilarious Rom Com. Oliver and Chloe are wonderful together. They known each other since birth, with their Moms being best friends they always seem to be pushed together. They are awkward, funny and their banter makes their story.
This is also a second and well third chance read. Oliver seems to always put his foot in his mouth and Chloe can’t seem to tell him no. These two make it easy to fall in love with them. I definitely recommend this sweet funny read.

I really enjoyed this easy read of enemies to lovers story with a second, third and fourth chance…. Oliver and Chloe have history, a complicated one with sizzling hot chemistry. I was hooked from the beginning until the end. Definitely didn’t want to put it down. A great addition to this series.
Undeniable is a fabulous second chance romance. Oliver and Chloe were childhood friends. Timing never seemed to be their strong suite. I love the love/hate relationship between Chloe and Oliver. There is no denying what is between Oliver and Chloe. You feel it from the start but you can tell that there are some trust issues and growing need to happen before Oliver and Chloe ever move on from their past. Even with all that you see glimpses of hope and love shinning there. I love the ride that Melanie Harlow gives us for Chloe and Oliver. All the ups and downs are totally worth it. You are in for a love hate relationship with Oliver and he may just steal your heart somewhere along the way. I loved this one.
The minute I read the blurb to Undeniable, Melanie Harlow’s second standalone in the Cloverleigh Farms Series, I was SO ready. Anyone who knows me knows that enemies to lovers is my jam but the fire between Oliver and Chloe was On.Another.Level!!! The passion between them almost singed my fingers as I impatiently tapped each page for more. I loved the banter, their combustible chemistry and the way they loved and argued with equal fervor! This book was outstanding!!
Chloe Sawyer and Oliver Ford Pemberton have always had an acrimonious relationship. Being childhood friends/ rivals/frenemies, tensions and tempers have always run hot between them. But over the years their heated history turned into blistering hot interludes that ultimately left Chloe shattered. Now she has to decide if taking another chance on Oliver is a good bet that will work in her favor.
This story was absolutely brilliant. The banter was fantastic and their attraction was sizzling. I will admit that I was on the edge of my seat reading as the back and forth flashbacks created some delicious angst and build up. There was also a mysterious element in regards to Oliver’s intentions as I wasn’t fully sure about his secrets and motivations and the little clues and breadcrumbs had me going crazy!
Overall, I absolutely floved Chloe as she gave as good as she got and was always ready and willing to serve up a side of sass and then some. Oliver likewise was sexy and likeable with real flaws he had to come to terms with. I loved how Harlow portrayed their connection beautifully as their pain, joy and confusion came right off the pages. Their romance felt very real and heartfelt and I was with them, (and rooting for them), from their very first jump at eleven years old. All in all, this love story was intense and emotional and one that will stay with me for a long time. Bravo! 5 stars! ~Ratula
“We ran hot and cold, but we had history. We’d shared some unforgettable experiences, both painful and pleasurable. But beneath all the surface-level ups and downs was a bond that couldn’t be broken. I felt it in my gut, and I had to believe Chloe did too.”
“We don’t jump, we fall.”
“You jump, I jump.”
An undeniably romantic second chance romance. Undeniable is an enemies to lovers dream. There was fight. There was drama. There was passion and an undeniable pull. This is exactly the kind of romance that grabs on to you and takes you for one thrilling and exciting ride…..
Undeniable follows the story of Oliver and Chloe. Now, you see, Oliver and Chloe have known each other FOREVER. They have always challenged each other and would never back down from a dare, no matter the consequences. Despite all the trouble these two got into, they were always there for one another. Years later, that chemistry would grow and change into something out of this world. The passion and intensity between these two could be something written in the stars…..if only they could move past the sins in their past and learn to trust one another….
From the moment I picked up Undeniable, I was undeniably hooked. I was obsessed with Oliver and Chloe and could not get enough of the two of them. Their banter was everything you could want from an enemies to lovers story. Each of them giving just as good as they got, continuously challenging each other. There were definitely some moments where these two had me wanting to pull my hair out, and in the very next breath, they had me wanting them to give in to the fiery tension between the two of them.
The road to happily ever after was definitely a challenge for these two. Oliver had a lot of growing up to do, yet at the same time, Chloe had to learn to trust and take a leap of faith. I really enjoyed watching these two go through all the ups and downs that their situation threw at them. I easily devoured Oliver & Chloe’s story and loved the anticipation of seeing how their story would come together in the end.
Overall, I found this book to be an incredibly enjoyable read. Oliver & Chloe’s journey took me on a roller-coaster ride of emotions and left me with all the feels. I loved getting swept up and lost in Oliver & Chloe’s story. I thought Undeniable is a terrific addition to the Cloverleigh Farms Series and I look forward to seeing who’s story will capture our hearts next.
Chloe and Oliver have had a love/ hate relationship since they was kids. Their parents were best friends so they had plenty of time to spend together. Chloe wants to start a business and Oliver offers to help but will this just cause more issues? Can Chloe finally resist Oliver?
There were so many times I wanted to smack Oliver. He drove me crazy but just like Chloe, you just couldn’t help falling for him. He had all the right words and his heart was in the right place, he just needed to his brain to catch up.
