From USA Today bestselling author Melanie Harlow comes a heartwarming childhood frenemies-to-lovers, second chance romance!
When we were eleven, Oliver Ford Pemberton dared me to jump off a barn roof. He said you couldn’t break a leg from a 12-foot-jump.He lied.(You can also break a collarbone, which served him right as far as I was concerned.) I wish I could say it was the last dare I ever took … lied.
(You can also break a collarbone, which served him right as far as I was concerned.)
I wish I could say it was the last dare I ever took from him, the last bet I ever made with him, the last time I ever trusted Oliver Ford Pemberton.
But it wasn’t.
Because he had the nerve to grow up gorgeous, charming, and sexy. And as we got older, the dares only got dirtier–and the betting stakes higher–until finally, he left me in pieces. I swore I’d never talk to him again.
But twenty years after I took that flying leap, he’s back in my life, daring me to risk everything for him: my job, my self-worth, and my heart.
How many chances does true love deserve?
“Sizzling chemistry, off the charts sexual tension and all the feels I’ve come to expect with a Melanie Harlow romance!”- Ilsa Madden-Mills, Wall Street Journal bestselling author

They used to be so close. but things changed. Now, twenty years later Oliver is back, and he is hotter than ever. Will Chloe be able to resist his charms? Can she get over past hurts and give Oliver another chance, or has she moved on from their childhood games.
Undeniable was a great story by Melanie Harlow. It’s a friend/enemies to lovers story and the second book in the Cloverleigh Farms series. This story was written with references to the past and the present, and flows so well, you won’t be able to put it down. The characters were great. You could feel the chemistry between them. Undeniable is a definite must read.
Oliver and Chloe have quite the relationship. Having grown up with each other with a highly competitive relationship as children to a some what complicated relationship as teens and adults with some hurt feelings thrown in there but underneath it all is an explosive attraction to one another. Oliver and Chloe belong together and when they come together good things happen.
Another trip to Cloverleigh Farms!
Ohhh those enemies to lovers stories are my jam. Finding out why Oliver and Chloe were enemies in the first place was a great joy, and one of the strongest parts of the book to me. When adult, their bickering and fighting with one another just gets ramped up to 11. While the tension grows between them, at times I just wanted to shake them and make them be nice 😀
Cannot wait for more in this world!
My new favourite book
Oliver and Chloe- friends since birth, partners in crime, jilted lovers and now trying to be indifferent enemies with a long past. So many feels with this 2nd book in the Cloverleigh Farms series- funny, silly, pesky boyish pranks abound, dares, ridiculous bets, misunderstandings and still that hurt that never goes away when the one person you want to trust with everything, somehow let’s you down, time and time again. When is enough enough?
Dual POVs through past and present bear witness to these defining moments in the lifelong friendship of Chloe and Oliver as they navigate from best friends to hormonal teens that are noticing each other in a more grown up way..and messing up… BIGTIME.
What might happen when an opportunity to finally right those wrongs and work together on a mutually beneficial project presents itself between these two who have never quite gotten over each other? Fireworks!!!
Watch it unfold in another winning Cloverleigh installment from Melanie Harlow who knows exactly how to keep the spark, humor and heat flowing in her stories..and just like potato chips, you can’t stop at one!
Oh, boy, Oliver and Chloe are like TNT!
I thoroughly enjoy Melanie Harlow’s writing. Her characters are always well-developed, flawed, real people. Oliver and Chloe’s story is told in a series of flashbacks mixed in with current day, and we see how they went from friends to frenemies, all while loving each other and not realizing the other felt the same. They’ve been mixing signals for a solid decade. But finally their time has come.
I love Oliver and Chloe as individuals. Their personalities are large, so their love needs to be even larger to survive.
Chloe and Oliver were awesome. They have known each other all there lives and had a love hate relationship. Can they work together and can Oliver be trusted. This book had all the feels. Great characters and storyline. Highly recommended
This was my first read by Melanie Harlow and I couldn’t be happier to have found another great author. Undeniable was undeniably addicting! I couldn’t put this story down. I loved the story from page one. I enjoyed going back and forth between past and present. It really helped developed the characters for me and developed their relationship. It solidified my need to root for Oliver even when he messed up. Oliver messed up plenty throughout their entire friendship/relationship but there was something about him that just clicked.
I loved Chloe’s character – I enjoyed her spunk and ambitious nature. Also, being a short person myself, I love when the main character isn’t some tall amazon with legs.
One of my favorite things I love to read about are friends to more but in this case, I feel like we had enemy to lovers mixed in with friends to lovers. It was most definitely a love/hate relationship with these two.
The writing was undeniably great and the story line was captivating and entertaining! You need to read this! It was so good!
*I’ll definitely be finding more of Melanie Harlow’s work*
I love Melanie Harlow books so it hurts my heart that I didn’t enjoy this book as much as I’d hoped. Undeniable was cute but I just wasn’t feeling the couple. Oliver especially rubbed me the right way. I found him to be a tad too selfish.
4 stars
I purchased a copy off the steamy novel Undeniable: Cloverleigh Farms book 2:Chloe and Oliver by Melanie Harlow and this review was given freely.
This is an emotional second chance at love, on again off again romance set in today with glimpses of the past featuring self-centered playboy Oliver who takes advantage of Chloe either crushing her emotionally or hurting her physically until his final get rich scheme blows up in his face.
In order to have a distillery at Cloverleigh Farms, Chloe’s father steam rollers her into a partnership with lifelong family friend and nemesis Oliver but gets more than she bargained for when Olivers dares include her heart as well as her body.
How many chances can you give for love? One, two, three or four times?
Chloe is a smart strong feisty woman, you helps run her family’s business. She has always been the wild rule breaking daughter. Who doesn’t seem to be the type to settle down, she doesn’t have great history with men. She is impulsive and then regrets her hasty decisions later.
Oliver is charming hot man, who run his own distillery, but wants to expanded his business. He can charm the pants off of any woman, he is great at getting whatever he wants when he wants it.
Chloe and Oliver grew up together, their mothers are best friends, they were born just two days apart. They spent most of their childhood getting in trouble together. The push each other into dares and bets, knowing the other won’t back down. That mixed with their explosive chemistry lead to mixed emotions, hurt feelings and broken hearts and dreams.
Now that they are grown up, can they get over their past and move towards a working relationship to expand their business as partners?
Book 2 of the Cloverleigh Farms series is here!!! This series has become an automatic one-click for me. I can’t get enough of this family running Cloverleigh Farms.
Chloe doesn’t turn down a dare and Oliver is too competitive to not accept them himself. These childhood friends get in to so much mischief, they can’t help but be best friends. They challenge each other at every turn. So much so that even when their undeniable feelings towards each other begins to surface, they will fight to keep them to themselves.
I enjoyed the back and forth from past to present and the dual points of view. Melanie Harlow has written another wonderful book about friends to enemies to lovers. She always pulls the tears when I least expect them. And the laugh out loud moments are even better. I highly recommend this story but do yourself a favor and start the series, you won’t be disappointed.
Undeniable is my first book by Melanie Harlow. The blurb for this one is what made me want to read it. It’s book two in the Cloverleigh Farms Series but it can definitely be read as a standalone. Oliver and Chloe have know each other forever. Their parents are best friends. As kids they got into trouble together as adults they still push each others buttons. I really liked these two. They haven’t seen each other in years and at first Chloe is not to excited to see Oliver again. There’s mention of something that happened in Chicago the last time they got together and I was so hoping we got to learn what happened. I was shocked when he did find out what happened then. Oliver has a habit of doing things before discussing them with Chloe. He’s sweet and mean well but he messes up a bit. I loved these two together. They are very likable characters and their story was good read.
Undeniable by Melanie Harlow
Oliver and Chloe were the perfect couple to brighten my day after some heavier, emotional reads. Undeniable was an easy, light-hearted read that delivered everything I needed to make me smile and sometimes laugh as Oliver attempted to win his way back into Chloe’s good graces.
Oliver was far from perfect, and he made mistake upon mistake, but try as she might, Chloe just can’t stop hoping he finally is ready and worthy of her love. Oliver may need a few more tries and Chloe may need the grace of God to get through this.
“… when it comes to you, I can’t be patient. I know what I want, and I want it now. And if that makes me sound like a spoiled brat, well, it wouldn’t be the first time you called me that name. And probably not the last.”
I loved this friends-to-lovers story. They’ve known each other since they were born, they’ve challenged each other, dared each other, and experienced a lot of what life has to offer together. I really enjoyed how the story is written in dual POV and has many flash-to-the-past chapters to fill us in on all the antics and history of these two. They’ve shared it all; they know each other’s thoughts with just a look in the eye. They had a love that just couldn’t be broken no matter how many times Oliver screwed it up.
As grand gestures go, Oliver hit it out of the park. Chloe was a little nervous and unsure about what he had in store for her, but when all was said and done, I loved his and thought it fit them perfectly. Oliver knows how to push all Chloe’s buttons. He is suave, devilishly handsome, and so very charming. He knows how to use that silver tongue in more ways than one making Chloe melt in more ways than one.
“I’ve never felt this way about anyone before. And I’ve never been more sure that something is right. I know it was a risk for you to trust me, but I won’t let you down… From now on, it’s you and me.”
Melanie Harlow is always a pleasure to read and Undeniable was no exception. The story premise is fun and touched my heart. The rest of the family also have interesting stories waiting to be heard. These side characters really helped pull the story together and make it all the more real and believable. It’s a great series to follow along with for some romance that makes you smile in between the steamy scenes where she’ll have you squirming.
This story has it all as childhood friends growing up together they have experienced everything together so many memories with truths and the dares and both so stubborn beyond belief but always at the back of your mind. Oliver and Chloe have a passion like no other with all the feels and how do you get past that hurdle of hurt and lies and protect yourself all at the same time when your heart gives you no choice your drawn anyway full force forward. I loved the flashbacks of their childhood memories as we get to see how everything evolved into what it is now and it is pretty intense and funny in spots they can edge each other on pretty good. I really loved these characters they showed their true selves in every single way and the chemistry is off the charts, and finding that one after knowing each other for a lifetime is amazing.
Undeniable is book two in the Cloverleigh Farms series. It was such a great read. I loved it! I loved Oliver and Chloe. The banter, tension and chemistry between them was great. I loved them together! Looking forward to reading more in this series!
I think my expectations for Undeniable we’re just a tad too high after loving absolutely everything with Irresistible. But it just didn’t live up to my particularly picky standards.
That’s not to say that I didn’t enjoy Undeniable, because I did. I thought that Chloe was a very realistic character. Oliver on the other hand was annoying in how he was portrayed as the spoiled rich kid that had every thing available to him and still doesn’t really appreciate what he has until he no longer has it. I think that particular character trait is too common and overdone.
I also didn’t find myself not wanting to put my book down. Not like I had while reading Irresistible.
As a whole, Undeniable is and enjoyable and well written read. I just feel it’s it as shiny and sparkly as Irresistible. But I look forward to the next sister, the next book in the series.

While I had some reservations about Irresistible, the premise of Undeniable was interesting that made me want to read it. Plus Melanie Harlow has always made good plots. Chloe and Oliver have been childhood friends and well they had their share of ups and downs. But mostly dares and squabbles. Their mom’s were best friends so they hoped they’d get together which well was unlikely as they seemed to grow after a while. But for some reason Oliver’s always had this pull and Chloe seems to love the bad boys. We get flashbacks intermittently throughout how things came to be.
Now that Chloe’s got to work with him under the urging of her dad and others, which while practical to learn how to handle the reigns was more of a plot to get them together. I admit I wasn’t Oliver’s biggest fan, he had this manipulative and scheming way to get his way. Just didn’t sit right with me.Chloe had her own faults, impulsive and competitive. But I understand her ambition and she has drive.
Ah these two zig zag communication wise, Oliver can’t seem to get it right when it comes to Chloe. They can’t seem to be on the same page which sucks. I can feel them having closeness and a bond and they have potential. But somehow when things start to move forward something happens and Oliver does something that ruins any chance. It keeps happening with these two and it made me wonder if they can grow from past mistakes. Chloe may have had enough after all this time.
Ah I have no idea why but this series I seem to keep to find something missing to make me love it as hard. I still liked it, the epilogue was the best part imo. Yey for Oliver getting it together, I hope it lasts though. Character development is always plus points. We will see in the next books perhaps.
As impulsive as it sounds, sometimes you just gotta take the leap!

My heart is so full right now. Reading Chloe and Oliver did something to me, and I had so many differente feelings at the same time, it was almost overwhelming, but in a good way.
Chloe and Oliver go way back. Like since birth (really). And since then, the connection between those two was palpable, and it was so well writen, so strongly built that I could feel their feelings!
“We’d had our ups and downs, but our chemistry was undeniable. We knew how to light one another on fire in every way, good and bad”
They pushed each other’s buttons and they brought so many hidden feelings and sensations out to the surface, it was insane.
They had a pull on each other, and the way they told their story, since their past towards their future, painted such a rich and colorful picture right before my eyes!
“‘Don’t worry, Dimples. I’ll protect you from anything threatening’
‘And who’s going to protect me from you?'”
Chloe and Oliver were impulsive and so full of life. They took upon dare after dare, adventures after adventures, and they always ended up in some funny kind of trouble.
But some times, the trouble was a lot more emotional, and as it always happen in a bet, you might lose something, like a piece of your heart.
“I was prepared to give you everything seven years ago. And you broke my heart. But you’ve always had a piece of it.
I’m never giving it back”
Oliver was so complex and well built that he brought so many feelings in me, like he did Chloe.
I was mad at him, I loved him, I wanted to puch him in the gut, and hug him right after.
He was a flawed character, so imature and stupid, but also so full of life and optimism.
I could understand what he caused Chloe, because no matter how many times he wronged her (and God, there were a lot of times), but there was something about him that touched me deeply.
“‘I’ve never felt this way about anyone before. And I’ve never been more sure that something is right. I know it was a risk for you to trust me, but I won’t let you down. From now on, it’s you and me’
‘Are you trying to make me fall for you, Oliver Pemberton?’
‘We don’t fall. We jump'”
I loved that she could call him on his mistakes and keep him on his toes, but I also understood how touched and “weak” Chloe felt about him. It was hard to trust him, because he showed so many times that so many things were a game to him. But he was playing also for keeps.
They made each other better, they challenged and pushed each other to do more, to be better, to take the leap.
And that kind of chemistry, that kind of feeling, that intensity, you don’t find a lot in your life, if ever.
So when you do, you gotta have faith in it, you feel like you should take a chance. When you find that much chemistry, when you find someone that can bring all of you out to the surface and push you to the edge, soemone to inspire you to do greater things and feel greater feelings, you don’t chicken…You take the leap.
“‘I’m still that girl on the roof. You dare me to jump, I jump – but you better come with me’
‘You jump, I jump'”
Always.
Second chance romances are by far my absolute favorite genre and Undeniable is one of the best second chance romances I’ve read in a while.
The second book in the Cloverleigh Farms series, we once again see Chloe – sister to Frankie in Irresistible – and we meet Oliver, the boy who broke her as a child and nearly does again as an adult.
The reason second chance romances are my fave is because of the past the characters have to overcome. I’m a firm believer that an ex is an ex for a reason, but with second chance romances we get to see that sometimes the reasons aren’t a good enough reason to not try again.
So much love for Undeniable, Chloe, Oliver, and Melanie for another amazing read.
