From Best Selling Erotica Author S.D. Hildreth, the #1 best-seller Undefeated, a stand alone Boxing Erotic Romance. HEA. Book 1 of 4 (can be read as a stand-alone or enjoyed as a series).
Since she was sixteen years old, Kace Meadows has known love hurts, literally. Now, after ten years in an abusive relationship, she is realizing what she has isn’t love or a healthy relationship. No matter what … relationship. No matter what she does, she can’t win. One day, while in an argument with her boyfriend in public, she meets an unlikely hero.
Shane Dekkar is a cocky but rather modest unknown boxer. Growing up in Compton, California, he knows what it takes to be tough, street smart and how to fight. He battles his inner demons in the boxing ring and has never lost a match. After losing his grandfather he moves to Austin, Texas.
Almost immediately upon arrival into the new city, Shane witnesses an argument between Kace and her boyfriend. When he tries to intervene, he is assured by Kace it is simply a disagreement. Shane’s instinct tells him otherwise; he sees the pain and fear in her eyes as he watches them drive away. When they meet by chance again two years later, Shane sees their meeting as fate.
Will Kace be able to walk away from the abusive relationship she has been in for over a decade? Is it possible for her to find comfort in the arms of an alpha male boxer? Will Shane be able to conquer his inner demons and settle into a relationship?

Undefeated has been on my TBR for awhile, and after reading it late into the night last night because I couldn’t stop reading until the end, I’m kicking myself for waiting so long to read it.
I’d never read Scott Hildreth, but after Undefeated I will read every word the man writes. There’s something about his writing that makes you stop and think about life, and it’s tossed in the middle of an amazing story.
I’m a sucker for emotion. It can be anger, hate, love, lust, infatuation etc. I have to feel some kind of emotion to give a book five stars and this one does just that. If a book makes me toss my kindle, I’m loving it, even if I hate the character.
Undefeated is the story of Kace and Shane.
Kace has been in an abusive relationship for ten years and knows no other life, sees herself as being at fault for the way she’s treated.
“Get your little sticky note pad and get a new note, Kace. Write this on it, I’m coming. I’m coming for your heart”- That one gave me chills!
Shane is a boxer. On a motorcycle. Okay yea I had to put that in there because lord have mercy, boxer + motorcycle = extreme hotness in my twisted little brain. Not to mention he’s respectful, protective of the weak and innocent and has an amazing heart.
A woman needs to feel wanted. Even if she doesn’t feel loved, she needs to feel as if someone wants or desires her.-Shane
Wow, just wow. I read those lines a few times before continuing, truer words were never spoken.
Can’t forget a little about Shane’s best friend Ripp, he’s hilarious but also quite a man. I’m not sure I’ll ever look at bbq chicken the same! I’m eagerly awaiting a stroy for Ripp, I think it will be just as brilliant as Shane & Kace’s.
I don’t do spoilers so if you haven’t read it, I won’t ruin it for you.
Undefeated is a book that will hook you and keep you glued to the pages until the very end. It’s one of those stories that hits home to some extent. I’m a Scott Hildreth fan for life after just one little book, it’s pretty amazing how after finishing it, though I wanted more, I found peace with the whole situation. Kace and Shane are different people, both having fought for themselves with a little help from another.
And now that I’ve finished my review, I have to address the one and two star reviewers.
Of these the two complaints I read were eeek there’s physcial abuse and oh Kace’s so weak.
First, it’s stated there is abuse in this book. If you can’t tolerate it don’t freakin buy the damn book. It’s a tough subject, I get some people can’t deal with it, ifthat’s the case DO NOT BUY/READ this amazing book.
The weak factor. Okay, this is where you people piss me off. Not all, but the majority of women in these types of relationships have absolutely no self esteem, it has been beaten out of them, or they have been talked down to so long they believe every word that
is drilled into them. And take into account this girl was 16 when the relationship started, she knew nothing else and no one else but the abuser. What he said was law, and after being told how ugly, incomptetant and useless you are for any period of time
is bound to destroy your confidence. And for those of you so grossed out by the abuse, just incase you missed it, WEAK little Kace
clocked that prick over the head with a cast iron skillet =)
This was my first read by this author but no way my last. This story if full of real life events and situations that have impact and relevance in so many lives today. The book can be tense at times due to the true elements of abuse but the authors dedication and handling of such situations is phenomenal. I am glad I found this author and his books. Definitely a fan!
