His name is Dino. He’s nothing but a liar and a mystery to all who think they know him. With so many identities, he barely knows who he really is anymore. On the surface he’s just another muscled thug breaking kneecaps and extorting money from local business owners. He can’t tell anyone about his real agenda, and even if he could, would anyone believe him? Jeanette has finally stopped running. … running. She knows better than to think she’s safe, but at least she’s found a place to call home. A place where she won’t have to start over with a new name and a new past – again. However, she’s not the only one with secrets. She knows there is more to Dino than meets the eye. She can sense he’s got plenty to hide, but she doesn’t have the right to ask him to open up and let her in. After all, she’s nothing but a liar herself.
Soon enough their twisted histories will collide, and Dino and Jeanette will have to sort out the truth from the lies. The problem is, neither of them want to come clean.
This book contains mature content, adult language and plenty of steam!

a great read about secrets. after six years, Jeanette finally thinks she has found somewhere safe to call home. but when she attends an auction with a friend, a face from her past reappears and her whole world is turned upside down in fear. as faces from her past hunt her down, will she run in fear or learn to trust the people around her?
a great read. well developed plot with twists and turns that I just couldn’t put down. the sense of mystery about the past was drawn out to perfection, making you want to read on to find out what happened.
well developed characters like Dino caring for his family whilst also protecting people or Jeanette trying to be stand up for herself whilst also terrified of returning to the past. great cast of supporting characters like Angel or Gabe as good friends alongside a perfectly written villain sending shievrs up your spine.
I loved the visual detail throughout the novel like the colourful dresses at the start or the jewels at the auction or the stark emptiness of Jeanette’s flat. the use of opposites worked brillaintly for sympathy with characters desiring what they can’t have. the only issue I would raise is that there was some repetition and the abrupt transitions of perspective worked well but were sometimes hard to follow. overall, a great read and I would give it four stars.
This is the second book in this series and I enjoyed it more then the first. This book can be read as a standalone but I highly suggest reading the first book as you will get to know the characters more. You get to see Dino and Jeanette in the first book but it is great to see their own story unfold. The characters are connectable and lovable. They will make you realize that sometimes letting down your walls is not always a bad thing. Strong characters for sure. Highly recommend this book.

I really liked this book because I got to learn the story behind Jeannette. My god, she’s been through hell. The sexual tension between her and Dino finally blew up. It was about time! The chemistry between them is crazy. I got to see a few more layers of Dino. He really is a good guy. Underneath that tough exterior is a heart of gold.
Although this is book two of the Glass City series, it can be read as a stand-alone. Familiar faces make a return, like the gorgeous Gabe and energetic Angel. Chaz Malone reappears as well in this story and really throws a curveball towards the end. I was not expecting it. There is drama, action and crazy people. A book written to keep you interested from beginning to end. Good job!
Desiree Lafawn wrote another great piece with Glass City Hearts Book 2: Dino. Book one, Gabe, was all about Gabe but you were also introduced to Dino, and acquaintance and Jeanette, Gabe’s “assistant”. Jeanette is so much more than an assistant however she can pretty much handle anything and everything Gabe or Dino throw at her and she’s very good at what she does. Dino is a mystery to everyone, even Jeanette and Gabe. In Book two you learn all about Dino and Jeanette, if you read book one you learned just enough to keep you wanting more and wondering if there is something going on between Jeanette and Dino.
You learn so much about both characters and everything they have gone through and what they are constantly hiding. All the secrets get brought out in this great story. You watch them grow as individuals and learn to fully trust and support one another in an emotional way, not just the work way.
You also get introduced to some new characters like book three in the Glass City Hearts Series: Jesse.
Dino is book two in the Glass City Hearts series by Desiree Lafawn. The characters in this tale appealed to me on a whole different level than the characters in book one. I love a sassy, outspoken character, whether it be the leading man or the woman, and I got so much more from Dino and Jeanette.
Dino and Jeanette provided endless entertainment and hair raising situations. Danger lurks in the dark, and attraction electrifies the air. Their passion sizzled and when they clashed, sparks flew. Anticipation was high and uncertainty reigned. It was an edgy story that was gripping intensity at its finest. It is always an incredible rush to read work from Desiree Lafawn, and I am always left wanting more. 5 stars.
Well, well, well… Dino’s story is a little bit different than I thought it would be. FANTASTIC!! I knew there was something about him that I liked when he was introduced in Gabe’s story. I was NOT disappointed. (I don’t know who is on the cover of the book, but he’s how I pictured Dino to be.)
This story is a bit of a suspense, a bit of mafia, a bit of under cover, and a whole lot of character
development. From beginning to end, this story moves seamlessly and at a very good pace.
It was fun to revisit characters we meet in Book 1 and of course learn more about Dino and Jeannette.
I recommend this series and although you can read this as a stand-alone, I think it would be better to read in order.
Dino (Glass City Hearts Book Two) by Desiree Lafawn was an epic thrill ride that had my hooked form start to finish!
I am loving this series, though this book can be read as a stand alone, I high;y suggest going back and reading the first book. As the now supporting characters, were the stars in the last, and there will be something you won’t quite get, or understand. That and, the first book is freaking amazing!
Okay, lets start with something simple… everything about this book/series has captured me, body and soul. I will be honest, I didn’t really like Dino in the first book, or Jeanette, but my god by the end of this book, they are now my people.
Picking up pretty close to were the first book leaves off, we are once again tossed back into Glass City and it’s many mysteries, and on goings. (Which is a lot for this small place). The focus is now on Dino, though Gabe and Angel are still relevant to the plot and for moving the story forward, it just this time we are looking in from the outside. The POV switches are between Dino and Jeanette, and as I said, two supporting characters from the first book that I wasn’t too keen on. But still very curious about.
I got to see a whole new side of Jeanette, and holy hell I was not excepting the story she was hiding. This was crazy. Form the start as Jeanette slowly opens up to the readers, the tone shifts, and every word there after is laced with danger. Jeanette, though once broken down, is strong, smart and a fighter. She made this story shine and I’m glade that I got to know more about these important side characters from the first book.
Dino, again another twist I wasn’t expecting. I had a feeling he wasn’t all that bad, but again getting his full background and getting in his head, drastically changed my mind about him. I can’t tell you too much because it will ruing the story, just know that, sometimes the bad are actually good, and the good can sometimes be demons.
There is so much I want to gush about this book, but if I go to far down the rabbit hole I’m going to end up spoiling something for you. So please take my super high recommendation that you are going to fall head over heals for this unique, out of the box, witty/dangerous romance, that will not only take a small part of you soul, but leave a forever lasting impression on your reading heart.
Happy Reading

Oh my goodness im so happy to have read this book! I wanted to know more about Jeanette and Dino too, from book 1 and we finally get their story, together!
So much going on, Dino knows one thing for certain and that’s he has to stick to Chaz Malone like glue after he takes interest in a certain restaurant.
As the story unfolds and we learn of both Dino’ s and Jeanette’s pasts, we see sparks fly and protective streaks a mile wide.
Whwn the action happens it sure caught me by surprise! Cant wait to read the next one!

After loving the first book in this series I was really looking forward to finding out more about Dino! Of course I was also a little excited to see Gabe again!! And as much as I didn’t want to I think I love this book a little bit more than the first one! I wasn’t quite sure what to expect with Dino, he was in the background in the first story but I absolutely loved him! There was just so much to love with this book and I really don’t want to accidently let out anything that spoils it for people who haven’t read it. I laughed, I cried and I fell in love all in one book! It is one of those books that you cannot put down once you have started. I truly adore this authors writing, she has me so engaged as a reader and I am constantly trying to guess what is going to happen. Her characters are well thought out, they develop well over the story and they are relatable.
I think this series is going to be fantastic and I cannot wait to get my hands on the next story. I would also recommend that this series is read in order, I found many questions I had from book 1 were answered in this book even though the main characters were different!

These books!! This author!! I jumped on this one as fast as I could as soon as I saw it was available. I don’t know what it is about this author’s writing style and the words she uses to convey her stories but they are exactly the reason I love to read. This is my 3rd book by this author with Permanence of Pain and Gabe being the first two and I loved this one just as much although I still have a soft spot for Gabe, I think it’s because while reading that one is when I became a forever fan.
This one was a bit more serious and dealt with a much harder storyline that was written beautifully, the characters carried over from Gabe and I love it when that happens, right down to our friendly seniors who I absolutely adore, reading their parts in these stories makes me smile and lol at times.
Dino was an awesome main character and handled that role perfectly and I loved Gabe and Angel still being right there through most of the story. I’m not going to get into any of the storyline but I will say that it does deal with a tough topic that could possibly trigger pain for some. Jeanette who we met in Gabe was finally able to tell her story and it was not a pretty one, I knew there was more to her than the hard as nails character she portrayed. The interaction between her and Dino was great to read and I just loved this story. I now sit back and wait for the next and hope that there is more to come for all of them even past Jesse’s story.
I highly recommend you start with Permanence of Pain, even though it isn’t officially part of this series it still plays a part and then read them in order..They are fantastic books and this author is in a class of her own.
I was so excited to finally see what Dino was up to. In Gabe’s story the reader only gets small glimpses into what kind a man Dino is. This time around we get Dino in all his complicated glory. The woman he falls for has a lot more in common with him than anyone realizes at first. Jeanette was introduced in Gabe as well, she works as Gabe Anderson’s smart mouthed personal assistant. She is like family to Gabe and through him she also knows Dino. Jeannette is almost more of a mystery than Dino is. They are both hiding who they really are and when Jeanette’s past comes back to haunt her, Dino is going to help her and him finally find freedom from the Demons of their past. That a love for one another would develop was more than either expected.
I loved the story surrounding Dino and Jeanette, it was more mysterious and darker than that of Gabe and Angel, but IT ROCKED! I read this in one sitting! I loved the bonds between the characters, I loved how Dino and Jeanette revealed more and more details from their pasts and how everyone saw their desire for one another before they acknowledged it. Well written with a great ending! I still adore the girls, Jolene and Gerta, and their story time (Goals for getting old!). I highly recommend this book, it has a great blend of romance and suspense, trust, love, and family, it’s well written and worth the read. If you haven’t read Gabe yet I would highly recommend doing that first, even though it’s not necessary
Second instalment in the glass series city
Returning to visit some familiar faces. Gabe and angel averted their crisis with Chaz Malone, aided by the secretive Dino and trusty PA Jeanette.
Dino continues to ‘work’ for Malone, the ex fbi undercover agent is doing what he does best, pretending… to be someone he isn’t, to be a thug for hire… to not let it show how much he cares for jeanette.
Jeanette has her own secrets, a traumatic past and a face that sends pure terror through her system when she allows herself to look back. Changes were made and a will was strengthened but when Dino and Jeanette’s seperate paths become one… it will be time for the secrets to end.
Dino was such a fantastic and mysterious charachter in the first book, I’m so glad we got to see and understand his situation. To crack his surface and see benethe the different masks he had developed both as protection and for his job, his sense of humour and charm was fantastically written.
There was a scene in this book that was so raw and emotion filled that I actually felt sucker punched in the solar plexus by the emotion it raised in me. It was raw, powerful and gave good UGLY CRY vibes..I could literally see it in my minds eye as I was reading… I’m not going to go into details because #NoSpoilers! That scene will stay with me for a long time.
Desiree lafawn is gifted with writing original and creative books, whilst becoming an author to watch because HAWT damm those emotions are not so effortlessly or creatively conveyed by many authors!
Desiree Lafawn just gets better with each book and Dino is no exception! I was hooked from Gabe on who Dino was and then I started reading and I couldn’t put it down! Jeannette is Gabes right hand woman and does her job very well. But there is something that has her on Dino’s sight. Their first outing does not go as planned… They both have secrets and both are deadly! As they start to fall for each other someone comes back… The intricate plot and the twist and turns had me glued to my kindle!! It was freaking fabulous! The last one I really did NOT see coming! I absolutely recommend Dino… Loved it!!
I loved this book so, so much! Desiree Lafawn has really outdone herself with this book. Jeanette Clary works for Gabe Anderson and has always had sassy comments to Dino, an associate of Gabe’s. When Dino asks Jeanette to accompany him to her a charity auction, well the way he asks hits her the wrong way. Just wait until he picks her up and sees her! Everyone, you need to read this book! It is Desiree’s best book yet! We don’t know Jeanette’s and Dino’s secrets, but we will find out! You are going to absolutely love how strong she is, when you find out what she has endured. You will be surprised about Dino too! I’m not going to leave any spoilers, but I will say this book will bring tears to your eyes, it will make you laugh out loud, and it will bring a smile to your face. Grab your copy and get ready to have a new book boyfriend! I love Dino and I can’t wait to see what we get next from Desiree Lafawn.
