I absolutely loved reading Uncovered by Jinni Black. It was well written and had a great premise that kept me turning pages. The characters felt real and the author gave them situations that make them shine.

This collection of stories sizzles as these women fulfill their fantasies. In two of the stories the women are coming out of bad relationships and are now looking for all the things they’ve missed. The other story is about a woman who is missing something from her relationship and sets out to find excitement. I enjoyed these stories as they find just what they’re looking for and more. I received an arc of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.
What women want
This is a collection of short stories about three women – Cynthia, Camilla and Tabitha.
Cynthia is in for the ride of her life as she embarks on a solo trip to Europe after being dumped by her fiancé. Her step-sister Camilla gives her a small (and vibrating) gift to take along with her. It made for an entertaining security check at the airport, as well as an enjoyable way to pass the time on her long-haul flight.
She has never been interested in one-night stands, but Camilla thinks it could be just what she needs. On one of her Eurail journeys, she embarks on a quick and very hot encounter with a multi-lingual conductor that propositions her in French. Practically ANYTHING said in French sounds hot! Life for her will never be the same.
Camilla is in a long-term relationship with her boyfriend Brad, whom she loves very much. However, she’s finding she wants ‘more’. He gets defensive (understandably) at first when she explains this to him.
She spends time meeting and sleeping with others and engaging in chatrooms and other sites – which she likens it to a gateway drug. When she finally decides on what she REALLY wants to try, she discusses it with him and he kind-of reluctantly goes along. They engage in a wild night of steaminess and the results are surprising, yet surprisingly satisfying for both of them.
Tabitha is newly divorced and decides to fulfil some of her fantasies. The first one is moving to France, Paris specifically – which I can totally relate to! But her budget doesn’t allow for that, so she purchases a quaint villa in the south of France (not a bad compromise either!).
Enter Archer Mercier, her French ‘tutor’, a gorgeous and talented man 😉 He gave her the first French lesson at the lake by his house. It was a wonderful and unique experience. Then Hugo, her ‘forgeron’ (blacksmith), and Julien Laurent, the car salesman at the Renault ‘concessionaire’ (dealership) both also gave her wonderfully fulfilling experiences. The arrangement she finally made with solidified her love for all things French. C’est la vie!
I gave this trilogy four and a half stars purely because I wanted more of these fun characters! I found something very alluring in each story!
