Two men with a rocky history, and one with an all-consuming love for both of them. Sometimes I’m so lonely I swear I can’t breathe. I bring men and women into my bed to chase away the ache, but it never seems to help. I want something real, something lasting, but I’ve never been more afraid of anything in my life. If I have nothing else in my life I can count on, at least I have my best friend, … my best friend, Cas. If I have nothing else in my life that feels solid, at least I have Cas.
Until one sad smile from a beautiful man tilts my world on its axis.
But Finn is Cas’ ex, and that means he’s off limits, right? What if I could have something permanent, if I’m willing to put my heart on the line? Finn and Cas may have a history, but something tells me the three of us could have a future, if we’re willing to let things get a little complicated.
**This is a spin-off of the HEATHENS INK series and there ARE appearances by your favorite Heathens Ink characters. However it CAN be read as a stand alone.

Beau and Cas are roommates with benefits, Cas wants more from their relationship, but he would rather have some of Beau than none at all. When Cas has to go away for 4 weeks, Beau dying from the loneliness, brings home Finn and the two end up hitting it off and have great chemistry. Always upfront about what he is doing Beau tells Cas all about it, and while Cas does have a bit of jealousy, he for the most part is ok with it. It’s not until he comes home and sees just who Finn really is, that he has an issue. Finn is Cas’ first love that left and never came back, for Cas that pain is still there and he isn’t sure if he can forgive Finn for what he did. But when Finn’s past comes back for revenge, Cas feels the need to protect him. Throwing Finn into their mix just feels natural and meant to be, but can they overcome the hurdles that pop up?
So it took me a minute to figure out just who everyone was and how they fit into that world that K.M. Neuhold created. All three men were broken and coming together to make a whole, made for a pretty good story. Drama, danger, violence, and some nice naughty bits, I give this 4 stars.
Uncomplicated is the second book in the Inked series which is a spinoff of the Heathens Ink series. However, I highly suggest reading Heathen Inks books 1 – 5 first. You don’t have to read Inked book 1 to understand this book, but I think it brings more fullness to the universe if you do.
Uncomplicated is a bit of a tongue-in-cheek title for a relationship that is extremely complicated. The only the thing that is not complicated is the love that all three men share. I really enjoyed this book and the relationship building between each character. There was a lot of hurt/comfort, but it was balanced out with sweet romance and fluff as well as super steamy sexy scenes.
The audiobook was narrated by Kenneth Obi, who does a decent job, but there were a few moments where I think his audio quality was a little shaky. However, all in all, I enjoyed listening to this audiobook.
This instantly jumped to my top three for the year. Everything about this book was PERFECT! And the fact that these characters are so real (hello jealousy, I know you by name) makes it all the better.
Someone give me a Cas, please. *sighs dreamily*
This is by far my favorite book of Neuhold’s. I didn’t think anything would ever beat From Ashes or Going Commando, but here we are!
If a couple were to ever to get a second book, it’d have to be them!
Love these guys. Beau, Was and Finn are fun, sexy and sweet together. The story gave me so.e feels. Great addition to series. I want more!!
Magnificent, passionate, incredible romance that was profound and showcased what proper communication can do to enhance a relationship and add a new partner into the mix. It was sensual and caring and sexy too.
I am thoroughly enjoying this spin off series. There are so many emotions and feels galore up in this story that made my heart sing and sigh and weep. The characters have fascinated me from the first time they have been introduced and I loved finally getting their story and watching love and the trials that come with it unfold. There is a fabulous amount of heat and pleasure that had me panting and fanning myself. Every turn of the page felt like a new and wonderful sensation that I couldn’t get enough of. Watching the delectable threesome fall in love and find something special was pretty amazing. Everything about this book was good and solid and perfect.
Uncomplicated gets a PASSIONATE FIVE GLORIOUS STARS!!
I’ve waited so long for Beau’s story and it was everything I expected it to be and so much more. Beau truly is a flirt, but the raw emotions he’s trying so hard to hide, make me want to snuggle him up real tight. Cas is strong, and the love he has is beautiful to see as it unfolds. Finn has been through so much and come out stronger on the other side even if he doesn’t realize it. It was beautiful getting to watch these guys grow and evolve, as they figure things out. I loved every minute of it.
Where have I been?????? This author has been sitting on my TBR but after reading this book, I am so heading to the back catalog.
These 3 men are wonderful. I love the dynamic they all share and how easy they all flowed together in dealing with their complicated history. 1 scared of commitment, 1 scared of losing the other, 1 scared he doesn’t belong but all 3 learning to trust each other regardless of their past. When the past decides to come back to haunt him, Griffin has to decide if will stay or if he will repeat his past and push away Cas while at the same time proving Beau that he is right and everyone leaves him.
The story behind Cas, Beau and Finn’s relationship, is one adorable and heartwarming story! I devoured it in on sitting!!
It’s so beautifully written, I feel like the author has grown so much with her writing with Uncomplicated! Can’t wait for the next book!
