Isaac Owens knows how to run a farm. His family might not have faith in him, but if he succeeds at Falls Creek, he’ll prove them wrong. When Isaac comes to Falls Creek he is determined to be the best man for the job. Sybil is a amazing young lady. Watching Isaac and Sybil’s relationship grow will have you on the edge of your seat waiting to see what happens next. You will feel God working throughout this wonderful inspirational story. I had the honor to review this book for the author for a honest review. I would give this book a higher rating than a five star review if I could. Keely Brooke Keith is a amazing talented author.
In a mixture of historical and futuristic, this whole series is extremely fascinating to me. Keely Brooke Keith has put together a saga that takes place in a hidden society at the end of this decade and after another world war, but has the feel of an old-fashioned, almost backward, historical society.
Sybil’s family runs an inn and they need a new farm manager. Enter Isaac, a hard-working, simple man who is determined to win Sybil’s heart.
The complicated, yet simpleness, of this story is what captured my attention and my heart. I love learning more and more about this place and the people who live here. I suggest reading them in order, since characters make appearances in other books and this world is gradually built throughout the series. Everything is so gentle and smooth, yet there are underlying tensions of complication and mystery. I keep waiting for the shoe to drop and it leaves me slightly unsettled, but it also keeps me eagerly devouring each new release, so keep on writing, Ms. Keith!
Content: mild romance; mild religion

I loved the visit back to the Uncharted Land and their plain living. We read about some earlier characters and how they are fairing while also learning about new ones. I love the inn and it being a place of rest for the weary. Two sisters taking the responsibility of the inn because their father’s not mentally able. They take their jobs seriously and want the people to take them seriously. Some things happen that the siblings don’t like when the elders makes a decision that affects them all. The girls try to work through the problems. I loved Sybil and Isaac’s story and I really felt for her while she kept holding out hope for her family to get back together. Isaac works so hard to win the job he wants so desperately but things stand in his way. Will he end up with the job and Sybil or will she marry another? I’m not giving away the answer. You will have to read it for yourself. I have enjoyed all of The Uncharted Land Series and can’t wait for the next one.
I received a free copy of this book but was not required to write a positive review. All opinions are my own.
A story of determination. I enjoy learning about the inn and the meals prepared there. Each book in the series brings more information about the characters. The author has a great way of mixing the past and the future. I received a complimentary copy of the book. No review was required.
Each time I visit the Uncharted series, I find myself totally transported to the future but the land not as advanced. How wonderful to learn more about the people who live in The Land. Learning more about them is super. I can hardly wait to find out what comes next. Highly recommend this book and series.
The more readers immerse themselves in Keith’s near future world, the more at home we feel. Returning to Falls Creek, not quite a community but more than a crossroads, is a comfortable place to be, even if the residents and guests sometimes cross over the lines between friend and foe. A parent sadly slipping further into dementia causes an uproar when he makes an apparent mistake in offering the same farm managerial position to two different people. This confusing order results in overriding his oldest daughter’s authority in running the family inn, and his youngest daughter Sybil’s future happiness, not to mention the young man in question, Isaac’s, sense of self-worth and desire to test his ability to make and stick to a plan for the future.
Guests both purposefully visionary and with criminal intent come and go to the inn at Falls Creek. One decision by the elders of the Land to declare the resident families a village and accept an overseer, a stranger to the area who will serve as leader and pastor, pushes many to face their anxieties as they defend their way of life.
Keith’s latest addition to her series explores the hopes and fears of the family of innkeepers in the Land; from the patriarch who must pass along the inheritance and break with tradition, to his youngest daughter who must grow out of her idyllic schemes to force everyone in her life to live up to her childish memories of perfect happiness. When Isaac must leave to attend to a family matter, he promises to return. But Sybil only knows that those who leave Falls Creek rarely return.
Told in alternating personal viewpoints between Sybil and Isaac, Uncharted Promises reunites old friends and new in this slice of life of people struggling to create and maintain a perfect, peaceable society.
