Just don’t like series
I really enjoyed this book. Unto it just stopped. Ended in a cliffhanger. Wished that had been provided in the description.
Wanted more. There are only so many times you can use the same language before it gets old. Oh I want you so hard( young eye roll language intended) but oh I can’t, let me just run away. Oh he ran I’ll never let him back, oh he is back and I can’t resist him… please get in with it thanks.
Entertaining enough to keep me interested.
Haunted vampire man, with a bitch in his head, completely falls for human girl. Human girl is ready and willing but he keeps running away! And a ghost? Loved the torment, twists, and we aren’t done yet . . .
suffered thru this book. Very repetitive, slow and dialog was silly. No character growth. Lead characters were week & whiney. Save your $$ for another author like Danika Dark.
I want to know what happens next! It kept me entertained throughout. I am still guessing, but think I know the baddy, but will have to wait and see. Well written, absorbing, several plots seem to be going on at once but each can be followed, rather than confusing one.
Unfinished. It’s one of those “series” where the entire series is one book chopped up.
It was good but no ending
I am not going to finish this book! It looked to be an interesting/mystery but it turned out to be a dragged out boring story about two characters who are whining about not having sex and kissing is pulling out his fangs. The story lacks enough to keep my interest and want finish the book.BORING!!!!!!
Held captive for the past ten years, Dante Gabriel is finally able to escape his prison. He’s a starving vampire, and his instincts bring him to a hospital blood bank to quench his thirst.
Erin Hamilton expects another busy night in the ER, ut instead finds a man that appears to be vandalizing the blood bank. While she knows she should turn him in, something seems to compel her to protect him instead.
Both Dante and Erin feel an intense pull towards each other, neither understanding why. But, while their chemistry is off the charts, Dante keeps pulling away leaving Erin frustrated beyond belief. But, when Dante gives in to the bond pulling them together, he no longer worries about keeping himself under control with Erin . . . especially when she seems to want him as out of control as she also feels.
Unchained contains the first three books of the Blood Bond Saga. I found the plot to be unique and very interesting, but this first collection in the series leaves readers with more questions than answers, as it is a serial series, with each installment ending with a cliffhanger. Book 15 is expected to release this May. It’s a real commitment to follow Dante and Erin’s story through to completion.
I really want to know more, not only about Dante and Erin, but of all the mysterious characters that have made appearances in this book, such as the vampire that held Dante captive, the strange ER doctor with no record of medical school as well as so many others.
I did find some of the sex scenes and associated dialogue really cheesy and kind of awkward, which wasn’t translated into the other parts of the story which I felt had better flow and depth.
If you love a paranormal mystery and a hunky vampire, you’ll love that you can get lost binge reading through this series. 3.5 stars.
I am such a fan of Helen Hardt and her books, but Unchained might be my favorite series yet! This book was captivating and had me flipping through the pages eager to read this paranormal romance filled with passion, mystery, and an unexplainable bond.
When I began the reading, the opening was really powerful. It sucked me in and I was ready to find out more about Dante Gabriel. He is a vampire who was held captive for 10 years and finds a way to escape. When he returns to the place he used to call home, his transition to normalcy is a struggle.
One of the things I really loved about this plot and story is that Dante is vulnerable. When I think of a vampire, I automatically assume that they are invincible and nothing can hurt/affect them. Helen Hardt gave us something better. She gave us a hero who is damaged, vulnerable, and yet stronger than he knows. Dante’s character was easy to get wrapped up in and fall in love with.
Things get even more intriguing when Erin, a nurse, comes into the picture. She is hard-working, compassionate, and has an undeniable connection with Dante.
Together they share some pretty intense moments. They know they are attracted to each other, but things keep getting in their way. Is it love? Is it a blood bond? And is it real?
So many questions I want an answer to and I am so excited to find out!
I give Unchained 5 stars. It kept me on my toes, flipping the pages, and engaged with the story and characters the entire time I was reading. Helen Hardt has another 5-star series that so many need to read if they haven’t already.Helen Hardt Unchained
I could not put it down! The imagery and the new spin on vampires is intoxicating, I cannot wait to start the next one.
One of my picks for must read reluctant heroes in my monthly PopSugar Feature
One of my reluctant hero picks for my monthly PopSugar books feature. Great reluctant hero and finally a new vampire series!
Sexy page turner with lots of angst. Excellent start to a series.
To be honest, I didn’t want to read this series, much less like it…so for me to be totally enamored by it,WOW!!!
From the first paragraph, you could tell there were going to be some intense sparks between the two main characters, Dante Gabriel and Erin Hamilton. But as each spark flickered, something or someone from Dante’s past douses that spark with ice water.
Dante, has so many questions, some the answers are clear and acceptable, but others, make no sense, and Dante is having an extremely hard time understanding and believing. His grandfather is the most likely source to have the answers he seeks, but he (Dante) is doubting his judgement.
Erin, his “Blood Bond” is the most important thing to him. He needs her, she needs him. Both of their survival lands in each other’s hands.
At each turn, more questions come up, but who can Dante get his answers from?
This series has totally drew me in. Yeah, the same series that I fought tooth and nail over, not to read. Now, I’m dying to find out what will happen next…
Stay Tuned!!!
This is the first three books of Helen Hardt’s Blood Bond saga. It is about a vampire in today’s world. I have never been a fan of vampire stories, but this one is wonderful!
Though I do not read vampire romances all that often these days, I’m a paranormal girl at heart. I was very excited when I found out Helen Hardt was trying her hand at vampires and the start of her Blood Bound saga most definitely did not disappoint.
Dante has been held captive by a female vampire for years. After all that time as a blood slave he is starving. His hunger leads him to a blood bank where he runs into ER nurse Erin. She knows when she stumbles into Dante vandalising the blood bank she should find the cops and turn him in, but something about him gives her pause. Dante also finds himself oddly drawn to Erin. Their chemistry is undeniable, but as they grow close secrets come to light that may have been better left buried. Add to that Dante’s nightmares about his time in captivity and he worries he may not be able to control himself around Erin, someone who would risk his life to protect.
This was a great start to a new series. I’m in love with Dante and Erin and the world Helen Hardt has created is facilitating and intriguing. I look forward to seeing what twists await us.
I love a good vampire story and this one is terrific! I was captivated from the beginning to the end by the fabulous characters, the sexy romance, and the intrigue and mystery. Dante finally finds the strength to escape after being held captive for years by an evil bitch. She feed him only enough to keep him alive so he’s weak and in desperate need of blood but he won’t kill. I loved the descriptions of the different types of blood based on looks and heritage. After a few missteps Dante smells a hospital blood bank and goes to town. He’s interrupted by ER nurse Erin and she is draw to him and decides to protect him from all the carnage in the blood bank. Dante can’t stay away from Erin. Her blood smells too good! But will they survive as their romance blooms or will the evil bitch find Dante through her blood connection to him? The twist is fairly predictable but this is a sexy vampire romance that’s wonderfully written. Can’t wait for the next installment. I voluntarily reviewed an ARC.
