Quite a different take on vampire story..Modern take. And it is Helen Hardt..you can’t go wrong
This book combines the first three stories in the new Blood Bond series from Helen Hardt. If you love vampires and the paranormal then this is one book you want to pick up and meet Dante. Dante is a sexy, lovable vampire that will rival any other. After being in captivity for ten years, Dante finally escapes and returns home. He has no idea what to expect and only hopes that he can find his family and the answers he is seeking. Upon his release, he is famished and looking for sustenance which leads him to the hospital blood bank where he runs into ER nurse Erin. From the moment they meet, there is something that draws them together. Can Dante find what he is searching for? Will Erin be able to accept the truth of who Dante really is? Helen Hardt is one author who weaves an incomparable storyline as revered as the setting of New Orleans itself shrouded in mysteries and things that cannot be explained. This is one drama filled read full of suspense and passion. I highly recommend this book.
I volunteered to read an advance copy of this book.
UNCHAINED By Helen Hardt
BLOOD BOND SAGA Part 1 By Helen Hardt
Helen Hardt has been one of my favorite authors since I found the Steel brothers. I know I can always count on a good read from her. This is no exception. I was really curious how she would go into this genre of book with vampires, flawlessly is how she did it! I have always liked vampire stories and enjoyed this one very much. I can already tell it will be a great book saga.
This is the story of a vampire named Dante who is imprisoned for 10 years on the cusp of being an adult. When he finally is able to escape, he meets up with an ER night shift nurse by the name of Erin. They are drawn together in such a way that they do not understand. Not saying anymore at this point, I don’t like to give spoilers away. Give it a try!
BLOOD BOND SAGA PART 2 By Helen Hardt
I am ready for book 3! Part 2 picked up right at the end of Part 1. Dante is so drawn compulsively to Erin and he doesn’t know what is going on, he keeps holding back. Erin doesn’t understand his hesitation any better than he does. She is on fire for him, but keeps getting left hanging. All stems from his time he spent imprisoned by the Queen. Keep up the great writing Helen and we will keep reading! Book 3, PLEASE!
Blood Bond Saga #3
Dante and Erin’s story continues in this 3rd saga of Blood Bond. It picks up right from the ending of the 2nd saga. Dante knows there is a blood bond between him and Erin, but he has to have his grandfather Bill explain it to understand it. Then he needs to share with Erin and explain why he has been disappearing on her. Erin has worries with things that are happening at work and doesn’t understand them. Helen is writing a excellent story here and Dante is hot! This is not Twilight and Edward is no Dante.
This series just keeps getting better and better!
“Heaven didn’t exist. But hell sure did. I’d experienced it firsthand.”
Dante has finally escaped captivity finds himself drawn to a Erin, beautiful, hard working ER nurse, whose blood he cannot resist. Erin doesn’t quite understand the pull she has towards Dante and why she can’t stay away from him. The anticipation of this book will have to fanning you self and chugging ice water trying to cool down. This is a fast paced and sexy read. This series is a little different with having a male captive and I enjoyed the new twist on some of the traditional myths that come with vampires.
“It was all-consuming, all-encompassing passion and desire and need for another person.”

This is just an amazing series, I’ve always loved vampire books, but this series blew my mind, it’s that good, you will fall in love with Erin and Dante in just a few pages into the book and get wrapped up as you go, because it just get better and better.
I love Helen Hardt!. I adore her writing style and this book did not disappoint! You don’t have to love vampires to love this book! Go check it out!!!!
Helen Hardt takes on a journey into the New Orleans paranormal world with the Blood Bond Saga. These first three volumes are driven by the emotions of Dante, a young vampire who was kidnapped and held in captivity by another vampire for 10 years. Dante is angry, volatile, and suspicious yet his overwhelming need for Erin seems to be consuming him. Erin, too, feels this compulsion for Dante. How she is so drawn to a man she hardly knows should be troubling and yet it’s not.
These characters and storyline are compelling. The underlying sub-story here has just enough mystery and intrigue to to keep you turning the page to find out what happens next.
I have read several vampire series. I like Helen’s different take on vampires. It was an easy, quick read. Loved it. Can’t wait to read the rest of the series.
I grew up being a huge fan of vampires so when Helen came out with Unchained, I couldn’t wait to read it. At first, I was a little worried because I know many have their own versions of what a vampire is. Helen’s take is extremely different yet works perfectly. She gives Dante and the other vampires a more realistic existence in the real world and defies what I have known vampires to be, but is such a refreshing take. Dante’s a broken vampire who is having issues dealing with what happened to him and falls in a love with nurse Erin, who can’t help but be pulled towards him. As Dante struggles with his inner demons, he learns more and more about his ancestry that has him questioning whether being with Erin will put her in danger. This book is fast paced, emotional, and sexy. I would definitely recommend it to vampire fans with an open mind to accept a different take on a vampire.
Helen Hardt does it again. She has created characters that I am so in love with and so invested in finding out their future I can’t put the book down. Dante is a vampire who was kidnapped and held in captivity for 10 years. He was tortured, fed from and abused until he escaped. Erin is a night nurse in a New Orleans hospital ER. When she goes to the hospital blood bank in search of blood for a patient and discovers a blood covered Dante she doesn’t turn him in and she doesn’t know why. He is beautiful even dressed like a homeless person. She takes risks for and with him that are so far from her normal personality. Dante is lucky enough to reconnect with his family by chance. This is the start of an amazing adventure for Erin and Dante.
Helen Hardt tells an amazing story. She is a master at weaving all the little details together and keeping us on our seat until the very end. I love her ability to throw as many new questions as answers to you and yet tie them all up neatly at the end. If you are a fan of paranormal romance and suspense grab Unchained you are going to love it.
Unchained (Blood Bond Saga #1-3) by Helen Hardt was a great read. This is a great start to the Blood Bond Series. Dante is a vampire who finds himself finally escaped from the vampire who kept him chained up for ten years. He meets Erin, and ER nurse, after he escapes. They have no idea that they will both change each others lives forever. I can’t wait to read more of this series.
Part 1
This is my first ever vampire romance (twilight aside) ever and boy boy am I glad I made Helen Hardt the first. She has drawn me in to this world without it being tacky or cliche. Buffy meets Gabriel’s Inferno and I couldn’t put this down and now I am dying for the next one**
Dante and Erin will just surpass all expectations, defy all possibilities, and convert all hearts, minds, and souls from the very first. A third of Dante’s has been taken from him and now coming into this world a grown vampiric man he has to a lot to adjust to. Hungers and thirsts control all his impulses which is how he finds himself face to face with the intoxicating Erin Hamilton. Everything about this woman calls to him. He needs her instinctually and this primal urge is frankly undeniable. Always have been a nocturnal person by nature, Erin is used to the crazy that is NOLA nightlife, but when she catches a mesmerizing man vandalizing the blood bank she is left completely stunned. Dante Gabriel bewitches her to the point of recklessness but she can’t for the life of her care. Some hungers and just too powerfully to deny.
Part 2
The ties that bind are irrefutable and cannot be broken. Erin cannot understand two things – why she is so drawn to this mystery man that has entered her life and why he continues to rev her up and leave her high and dry. She should just walk away from this infuriating man but there is something that keeps pulling her to him that cannot be ignored. Dante is incensed when he discovers that someone has hurt this perfect creature that has bewitched him. She doesn’t even release the danger she has and still faces but he is determined to make sure she never is prey again. Learning why she calls to him and what still haunts him from his captivity are paramount to Dante rejoining the world, but digging in to them just may uncover answers he is not prepared for.
Part 3
What do you do when the very thing that is your salvation could ultimately be your destruction? As Dante digs deeper in to the inexplicable bond that ties Erin to him he discovers answers he would have rather left buried. This woman in such a short time has become everything and when he learns that fate has dealt them a hand that will be very tough to play. Dante already knows he is in very deep with Erin and the very idea of hurting her is abhorrent to him. Erin is done denying the inescapable pull that Dante has over her and will no longer let anything keep her from the bliss she feels in his arms. It seems like fate has brought them together and who is she to cast that aside? But is it truly fate at play or something else at work?
