Between the pissed off creatures that want demon-hunter Lily Marks dead, and Julian, the fallen angel who just wants her, she’s ready for a quiet 20 minutes with her favorite hamburger. If only her life could be that simple. That she and Julian are even civil to one another, let alone sharing sexy times, is enough to have her fired from the Sanctuary where she works. Oh, and there’s that tiny fact … there’s that tiny fact that she’s suspected of being a traitor. Lily’s life quickly moves from merely complicated to I-hope-I-can-survive-the-night.
She must discover the real traitor before she loses everything—and she’ll need Julian’s help. That is, if he’s really there to do good. Yeah, being a Nephilim isn’t everything it’s cracked up to be, and staying alive has become her number one priority.

This book is difficult to review for me, because it had things that I loved and things I just didn’t really like. It is pretty clear that this book was not intended as a standalone and I think if Jennifer ever would continue the story… I …
There’s only one book in this series and I’m seriously bummed about this! The author needs to come back to this series! Fallen angels and nephilim? Forbidden romance? I was sucked in immediately!
*pout* Here’s to hoping the series isn’t dead. I rated 4 stars instead of 5 simply because there hasn’t been a book added to this series in YEARS! Like …
I’m not sure why I didn’t read this before! I love Julian and Lily and how much he loves her! This story was great, I only wish there was more. I really loved Michael as well. I really need another book in this series to know what happens with him, but since it has been so long, I doubt it will happen and I’m bummed! I did guess the twist pretty …
Unchained was one of the few books written by Jen that I hadn’t read. To be honest, I had no idea what I was waiting for!
Unchained tells the story of Lily, a Nephilim, who lives by the code of killing the Fallen—those who fell from grace, deadheads, minions, and whatever else may rear their ugly head. Being part of the Sanctuary provides all …
An unchained read!
Demon hunter Lily is trained to distrust fallen angels…
But will she be able to resist temptation in the form of sexy, not-so-angelic Julian?
I must admit this book took me a couple of chapters before I got used to the third person because it took a bit longer to connect with the characters. But it is an JLA book so, of …
I’m such a fan of Jennifer L. Armentrout, she was one of those authors that really fueled my interest in the paranormal romance genre. I’m a bit bummed that we probably won’t see more from this universe, but Unchained will definitely be one of those books that I’ll read over and over again.
Jennifer has a knack for writing kick-ass heroines, ones …
Loved the book–original ideas and I was genuinely interested in the outcome. Then I found out the sequel wasn’t going to be written! That mad me sad. My only complaint.
I am an avid reader of JLA and have read a few things shes written under J. Lynn. I enjoyed this story and the characters. I find myself wondering if she will actually continue this series since it was left open in one sense. Enough closure that I’m not throwing a fit with the way it ended, but enough that you see the makings of a good story.
Slow start, but it all comes together.
Great read. Good characters. I enjoyed it.
Great book; I only wish the series continued!
Looking forward to more of this series!

I have read this book many times and I loved it every time I read it. Obviously I’m not as …
Really liked it but only this book. Seemed like it was the beginning of a series but never another installation.
