A scandalous past. A long-held secret. Will they trust in their love? After escaping years of abuse, Fidelia Evans is finally content. She is proud of her job working in her sister’s bakery while tatting highly sought-after lace in her spare time. She finds comfort in knowing she has a safe place to live. Fidelia attempts to forget her past, although her frequent nightmares provide a constant … constant reminder of her past ordeals. As she settles into her new life, her fascination and attraction to Bears grows. Afraid of repeating the mistakes of her past, Fidelia hesitates yet yearns for more than friendship with Bears.
John Runs-From-Bears Renfrew is a patient man. He enjoys his work in the livery with horses for company and accepts his status in town: outcast to some, acceptable to others. However, from the moment he meets Fidelia, Bears knows she is the woman for him. Bears bides his time as she heals after her rescue from the Boudoir. He watches with patient understanding as she shies away from any contact with a man not of her family. Bears admires her desire to rebuild her life as a respectable woman. And yet, the more time he spends with Fidelia, the more he longs for her to trust him. To see him as a man she would marry.
When an unexpected stranger arrives in Bear Grass Springs, Bears and Fidelia are forced to confront long held fears. They must discover what they truly value as they overcome ghosts from their past.
Will the love growing between them be stronger than their fears?

The whole series is very good. I enjoyed them all!
Bears and Fidelia have lived as outcasts, suffering abuse in various forms. While Bears has come to grips with who he is in society, some of his emotional scars remain. Fidelia can only see herself in the negative way she’s been conditioned. As their love surfaces more and more, it provides the strength and courage they need to act on it.
The book deals with abuse, self-love and acceptance, bullying, prejudices, and hatred. It does so in a way that brings healing, even in places where there is no resolution. The power of a loving family is the strength of this series.
I love the cousins, although my heart breaks for how Mildred has suffered. My only issue is that I think her dialogue is too mature for a 10-year old. It didn’t seem realistic to me, and I’m around lots of kids. Apart from that, it’s a wonderful story.
Two people with so much pain and history, it is a wonder that they ever found each other, let alone were able to put their trust in each other. Fidelia has been attracted to Bears ever since she was rescued by a member of the MacKinnon family, but because of past mistakes, she is very loathe to act on her feelings. Bears has been a misfit ever since he was a boy and as a half-breed, he keeps a low profile, despite the respect he has garnered from the MacKinnons, their extended family and associates. It is only when Bears’ past comes back to him in an unexpected way that Fidelia’s feelings are aroused to a level where she allows herself to set aside some of her fears. Unfortunately, when her past returns it isn’t with the same positive results that Bears is having, but the MacKinnon family puts a blanket of protection around her in an attempt to keep her safe. The story is romantic and suspenseful, coming to a very successful and positive conclusion. I received a copy of this well-written book as a gift and this is my honest and voluntary review.
I really love this series and author. Finally two lost souls connect after much angst and sorrow. The racial prejudice and small town rumors(and some time small mind) abound. The fallen woman who seeks acceptance in the community. Horrible conditions in an orphanage. All are addressed and result in a family. This a fast moving read with the regular characters having sway in the story. I can’t wait for the next story hinted at in this one. I retrieved this ARC for an honest opinion
I received an ARC and the views and opinions are my own. I truly enjoyed Fidelia and Bears story. Lots of secrets going on. I’m so glad they got together and Bear found Mildred. Walter Jameson finally gets what coming to him. I would recommend this to everyone. Cannot wait for the next book where more secrets will come to light.
This is a wonderfully written romantic story of a young woman was was abused, and a man had his heart broken, then later while he is trying to show the abused young woman that he loves her and that she deserves to be happy, who also finds out he has a daughter he never knew about. And how they overcome their fears with family, friends and lots of patience, kindness and love .
I loved this book.
Suspenseful romantic mystery I loved this story, great characters and interesting plot.
I enjoyed reading this book because it was interesting. It gave you some history of the area. I have read other books in this series. It kept your interest from beginning to ending. The characters are very interesting and believable. I would read this book again
wonderful complex characters, I love fidelia. this is an interesting story of someone trying to forget their past and trying to avoid those past mistakes. John knows she is the woman for him. lots of twists and turns a wonderful book
Once again Ramona Flightner has written a historical romance book that not only is realistic and accurate, but so descriptive you can actually feel like you are there in the story. Unbridled Montana Passion is Book 7 of the Bear Grass Springs series, but don’t feel you have to start from the very beginning with these stories as the author gives gentle background hints where needed to fill in anyone that hasn’t read the previous stories (or can’t remember what happened). Jump right in with book 7 and you will hooked and want to read all the rest of these series!
ONE REMARKABLE EXPERIENCE!!!
OMG! Talk about nailbiting. Ramona brings one exciting, gut-wretching, hard hitting, pulse racing, smooth flowing delight alive flawlessly before our eyes. All the trials and tribulations brings all of your emotions together for one incredible experience. The drama, abuse, heartache, uncertainty, danger and suspense bring this bad boy together brilliantly. Twists and turns abound along with a few glitches, bumps and bruises really set the stage with such realism you feel like your right there in middle ground zero with them. Amazing job Ramona, thanks for sharing this bad boy with us.
Bear sprig us is a wonderfully entertaining romp with strong males and independent women who fight for what’s right and love with all of their being. Bears and Fidelia have a beautiful story.
