In hindsight, I should not have had that fifth mimosa at Breakfast with Santa. Or the sixth, seventh, and eighth. But my shame over the public meltdown that resulted was nothing compared to being abandoned by my husband of fifteen years for a much younger woman—and did I mention she’s pregnant? For the sake of my children and my pride, I packed up and headed for my childhood home and the small town … childhood home and the small town where I grew up. Cloverleigh Farms would be the perfect place for a fresh start.
Falling for Henry DeSantis wasn’t part of the plan.
Sure, he’s easy on the eyes and hard in the bedroom (also the hallway, the bathtub, and on top of his desk), but he’s newly divorced too, and things between us are moving so fast I’m afraid neither one of us has had enough time to heal. Not to mention the fact that I’m a single mom now—my kids have to come first.
But Henry makes me feel beautiful and sexy and wanted and strong—I haven’t felt that way in years. We understand each other, and when I’m in his arms, I’m tempted to trust again. To love again. To let myself be loved without fear.
But deep down, I’m terrified.
Is this all too much, too soon? Or am I a fool to let a second chance at happily ever after pass me by?

Unbreakable by Melanie Harlow brings another swoonworthy and heartwarming story set in the adorable Cloverleigh Farm world. Instantly relatable and captivating characters. Intriguing storytelling. And Melanie Harlow’s brilliant writing put intense emotions in every page!
This story was a strong message about believing in self and self discovery and finding love in the most unlikely places. Sylvia thought she had a perfect life with her husband and luxury lifestyle and two adorable kids. But now she is back to her hometown with a broken heart and destroyed life after her husband cheated on her. She is trying to get her broken pieces together. And she reconnects with Henry, the winemaster of their distillery and also a man with broken soul. It started with a connection between two hurting hearts and soon becomes something explosive. But so many variables are stopping them to come together.
I loved Sylvia’s character. I have seen glimpses of her in the previous books and she seemed a bit detached from her sisters. But in this book I saw her in an entirely new light. Her husband held her back and demeaned her in so many ways like slow poisoning. And she lost her confident and sassy and strong self somewhere down the line. She is confused, angry and sad but still she is being the best mother to her kids pushing aside own issues. Henry helped her to get back herself piece by piece. He has a lonely and bitter existence but Sylvia set his mind and body on fire. She fascinates him, captivates him and bring color to his dull life! He is an amazing man. He is a gentleman with all his manners, values and charms but he has this rough and alpha edge that made my heart melt and body sing. Their chemistry was incredibly intense and steamy. Coupled with the heartbreak and moments of struggle, this love story is everything. I loved reuniting with my old favourites from this world. The small town charm always attracts me.
Unbreakable by Melanie Harlow was a heartfelt, soulful and all consuming journey of love and friendship. The flawless writing won me over completely through every kind of emotions possible in a great romance.
Received ARC for honest review
I just loved this book! It is one of the sweetest stories I have read in a while. I found myself smiling throughout and wanted to yell YES! a few times. It was also very, very hot in several places! His desk, WOW ! I loved that Henry and Sylvia were able to connect and help each other while slowly falling in love. I loved Sylvia’s strength as she overcame what her idiot ex made her feel about herself. Henry made her feel like the sexiest woman in the world. There was definitely some angst, but with her daughter’s help, it was a HEA. Can’t wait for more in the series. I adore Melanie Harlow.
I love my visits to Cloverleigh Farm because it’s like coming home visiting friends and relatives and Unbreakable is the perfect addition to this great series. If you are looking for a beautifully written love story with wonderful characters look no further than this book and yes you can read it as a stand-alone but I’m sure one visit to Cloverleigh will never be enough…….
Sylvia’s marriage ended badly and after a humiliation meltdown with her ex she decides to move home to Cloverleigh if only to settle herself and her children’s mind sets. The last thing she expects is to fall head over hills with the newly divorced Henry DeSantis the man in charge of making wine at the farm. Is this all too soon for Sylvia and Henry and what about the children they already feel one parent has left them for another partner…….
The chemistry is sizzling and this couple start to form a friendship the banter starts to flow. This is a beautifully written love story that has the perfect mix of humour and heartfelt moments, it’s about learning to trust, making new friends and realising there is life after divorce. Loved this book and can’t wait for my next visit to Cloverleigh Farms.
5 star Review Unbreakable (Cloverleigh Farms # 4) by Melanie Harlow
I have been not so patiently waiting for oldest sister Sylvia Sawyer’s story and it was everything I hoped for and so much more.
After a humiliating meltdown Sylvia and her children return to Cloverleigh Farm to take stock, to make decisions about their future and to start over after being betrayed by Sylvia’s cheating ex Bret.
The last things she expects to do is fall for newly divorced head wine maker Henry DeSantis.
The chemistry between Sylvia and Henry is off the charts and smoking hot. As their friendship develops, the banter and conversations got better and better; this may well be my favourite book in the series.
There is humour and this was such a well written and entertaining read that I was completely captivated from the first to the last chapter.
Will Sylvia let down the walls protecting her heart and learn to trust again? Is Henry the man to mend her broken heart? Is Sylvia the woman to bring back the spark into lonely Henry’s life?

This is the fourth book in the Cloverleigh Farms Series. I haven’t read or listen to the first books in this Series yet, but I will! Sylvia and Henry’s story is so sweet, sexy, and beautiful. They are both wonderful characters. I loved their second chance at life. Sylvia is strong, lovely, and very supportive with her kids. Henry is handsome and caring. I love his patience, and understanding. They share a strong and sizzling chemistry. Whitney, 13 years old, and Keaton, 10 years old, are good kids. Whitney is a teenager, perturbed by all that happened, and I like how Sylvia helps her during this difficult time. The family spirit in this story is amazing. I love the Sawyer’s sisters! The ending is heartwarming, and the Epilogue is great! I enjoyed it. Looking forward to read April’s story!
I so loved Sylvia and Henry’s story! It was beautiful and heartbreaking and so relatable. I highly recommend! Great addition to this series!
*sigh*
Since we met Sylvia earlier in this series I’ve wanted to read her story and this book did not disappoint. I laughed and I cried and I swooned. Sylvia and Henry are my current favorite book couple. I totally recommend this book.
Sylvia Sawyer, the oldest of the Sawyer sisters, has returned home after a devastating divorce. Her husband cheated on her with a younger “J Crew” version of herself. Sylvia and her children were devastated and left with feelings of insecurity and inadequacy. Sylvia’s ex and fiancé were also expecting. Sylvia’s kiddos felt as though their dad didn’t love them anymore and was moving on with a “new” family—especially when he avoided calling them or spending time with them. Sylvia returned home to Cloverleigh for a fresh start. She never imagined she’d find her soul mate in an old friend.
Henry DeSantis works in the distillery for Cloverleigh Farms. He’s a bit of a nerd, but he’s okay with that. He has recently divorced a woman whom he thought was the love of his life. After several IVF attempts and numerous infertility issues, his wife left him. Henry had always dreamed of having his own family and even wanted to adopt, but his wife said “no”. Henry has given up on the dream of having a family. Until Sylvia returns to Cloverleigh….
What started off as friends commensurating over their failed marriages, turns into so much more. Sylvia struggles with feeling beautiful and needed, other than as a mom. Henry makes Sylvia feel beautiful and special. He even enjoys spending time with her kids. But Sylvia thinks things are moving too fast. So she tells Henry they can no longer see each other. Henry is devastated, but doesn’t know how to convince her to give them a chance.
Such an AWESOME, AMAZING, TOUCHING story. The struggles that come along with being a single mom are real! Life is NOT easy. It’s messy, hard, and women tend to give into their kids and not take care of themselves. I loved that Sylvia was able to feel wanted, attractive, and beautiful. I also loved that her kids didn’t initially want anything to do with Henry, thought he would take their mother away. That’s REAL! It happened with me and so many others. This story was very well written and I felt as though it mirrored my life exactly. I highly recommend this story. It definitely gives ALL the feels. I read a gifted copy and all opinions stated are my own.
This book is my favorite in this series so far! The characters felt so real to me, and everything they were dealing with was addressed in such a raw, emotional way. Sylvia is figuring out how to be a single mom and help her kids through such a big transition. Henry is also fresh from a divorce and wondering if he’ll ever find the family life he’s looking for. Their chemistry was on fire and the emotions were so real. This was an amazing, well done story from Melanie Harlow, and definitely worth the read!
5 Star read!
Unbreakable is the fourth book in the Cloverleigh Farms series. All of the books In the series can be read separately. Unbreakable is about Sylvia and Henry a second chance at love romance. After Sylvia husband divorces her for a younger women, who is now pregnant, she flies back to Michigan with her two kids. Once she gets to Cloverleigh Farms she ends up bonding with Henry, who is also newly divorced and works at her family’s Farm making wine.
What can I say Melanie Harlow did it again. This book was fantastic with all the feels. I absolutely loved Henry’s character in this book. He is so sweet and tries to be patient with Sylvia. All he wants a family more than anything.
4.5 stars!
Such a beautiful love story. Melanie Harlow delivers yet again with this swoony, sexy, second chance at love romance. Unbreakable had the heart, the heat and the happily ever after Sylvia and Henry deserved.
Sylvia and Henry had combustible chemistry almost instantaneously. I love this couple. These characters are real and relatable. They’ve gone through so much causing them to connect on an emotional level and form a true friendship first.
Sylvia may be my new favorite Sawyer beating out Frannie slightly with her strength and her dedication to her kids. Having returned to Cloverleigh Farms after the humiliation of her husband’s infidelity, she is determined to start over. All while being worried about how it all affected her children and whether they were okay.
Henry was a great hero. He was very sweet and patient and a little bit nerdy. But also crazy hot. His virility took me by surprise. Yes, I figured he would be sexy. He is a Harlow hero after all. However, Henry went from aww to whoa! (*fans self) real quick. I’m gonna be honest I am here for all of it!!
I really really enjoyed this book. It was a great addition to the Cloverleigh Farms series. I only wish I had more scenes with between Henry and the kids. Solely for the swoons. Other than that, perfection. I can’t wait to see what’s in store for April next.
This was an unbelievably beautiful love story. This was by far my favorite in the series so far. Ms. Harlow wrote an emotionally charges romance that will pull on the heartstrings and make sure believe in second chances.
Both Sylvia and Henry have been through a lot and deserve a second chance at love and their happily ever after. This couple was the sweetest most compassionate couple I have read in a while. The chemistry was combustible and the connection was unbreakable. The sexy times were hot and I absolutely loved that their relationship was built on friendship first building trust and a deeper connection for everlasting love.
Ms. Harlow gives you all the feels. From the beginning to end I was enthralled with the story and couldn’t put it down.
Overall Grade: 1/2
“I always felt understood with Henry. Accepted for who I was, faults and all.”
I think we all seek acceptance and strive after finding people in our lives who love us simply as we are. This truth is strong in Melanie Harlow’s newest book, Unbreakable. As Sylvia and Henry’s romantic journey plays across its pages, you are reminded of the power of loving all the parts of a person, even the broken ones.
From its first page, I was all in with Harlow’s Unbreakable. To be honest, I was dying for this book because I needed a happy ending for Sylvia Sawyer. During the last book in the Cloverleigh series, Insatiable, it became clear that Sylvia’s marriage was in trouble. After reading the blurb for Unbreakable, I knew this story could be a difficult one. Sylvia Sawyer’s marriage is ending. Her husband is divorcing her for his mistress, who happens to be pregnant. Broken and needing a change, she moves her children to her childhood home as a way to heal. There, she begins a friendship with Henry, the winegrower for Cloverleigh Farms. From their first moment together, it’s clear that they are attracted to each other. They also share the same heartbreak: the ending of a marriage. Trying to deny their attraction and cling to friendship, these two struggle with their feelings. Are they moving too fast? Is it possible to love again after the devastation of a divorce? Is another relationship the answer? Are happy endings feasible? These are the stark questions of Unbreakable, and Harlow has crafted a beautiful story of finding love after the storms of life.
To be honest, I loved Unbreakable more than Insatiable. There is something heartrending about this story that captured my heart and pulled me into Sylvia and Henry’s story. Thankfully, Harlow saves us the gory details of Sylvia’s ex’s infidelity, but there is a great scene at the beginning that allows us to see the depth of devastation of Sylvia’s hurt. This is important because it makes it easy to understand why she tries to put Henry at arm’s length throughout the story. There is so much gravity to Henry and Sylvia’s story.
Henry is my favorite type of hero: kind and compassionate to the heroine, but a dirty, alpha-side in the bedroom. There were times when I was hoping for his alpha out of the bedroom, for him to stand up a bit more for their burgeoning relationship. Yet, this is careful planning, I think, by Harlow to invest us more deeply in Sylvia and Henry’s story. Had he come on too strong with Sylvia, Henry could have lost his chance with her. Instead, Harlow shows us Sylvia’s emotional evolution toward acceptance. Yes, there is an important moment when Henry pours his heart out to Sylvia. It, along with a scene between Henry and Sylvia’s daughter, Whitney, are my two favorite parts of Unbreakable. You easily fall in love with Henry and Sylvia together because they fill in each other’s broken parts, making themselves whole again.
Every moment of Unbreakable is a treasure. Divorce is devastating, as we see in this book. People oftentimes lose their way, but Melanie Harlow shows us that the compass for finding our way back lies in true love. Whether it’s the love of your family, your children, or a romantic interest, true love can help us find our way back to ourselves. Getting a chance to love again is Melanie Harlow’s promise in Unbreakable.
4.5 Stars
Unbreakable is the fourth title in the Cloverleigh Farms series, and much like the previous books in the series, I adored every minute of this story. Unbreakable is an angsty, yet sweet and sexy friends to lovers romance, that will take you through a gamut of emotions.
This title features Sylvia Sawyer the eldest of the Sawyer sisters. She’s recently divorced and a single mother who returns to her childhood home to try and start over. The last thing she’s on the lookout for is love, and her failed marriage has left her insecure and vulnerable.
Henry DeSantis is a winemaker at Cloverleigh Farms, and can sympathise with Sylvia’s plight as he’s also recently divorced. He’s honest and sexy in an geeky intellectual way. Whilst down to earth, he knows what he wants and isn’t afraid to go after it, and has quite the dirty mouth and alpha side in the bedroom.
The connection between this pair is not only undeniable, but intense and their love scenes are hot and steamy. I loved the friendship and banter they shared, and the interactions that Henry shares with Sylvia two children.
I will be eagerly awaiting the fifth title in this series, as a few little teasers were dropped in this title about the final Sawyer sisters past.
Slyvia didn’t think she’d be starting over. But she is. Moving her two kids back home to Cloverleigh Farms to be close to her family is what she needs right now. She doesn’t anticipate Henry or the easiness that comes from being around him. Can these two fast friends find happiness together?
What an absolutely beautiful book! Oh my goodness, I am so in love with Slyvia and Henry’s journey. So heartfelt and passionate! Such a beautiful story of strength, love, and moving on. I loved every single stunning word of this book! I could not stop reading! An absolute MUST READ!!!
I think Melanie did a lovely job bringing this story to life. Making it believable and relatable. The characters and their chemistry made this story hard to put down!
Love this series! Sylvia and Henry are both so deserving of a second chance love and the chemistry they have right from the get go is pure spark. Respected by her family Henry works in Winery, Sylvia has moved back home after a failed marriage. Both not knowing what they want in a relationship can’t keep their hands to each other. Obstacles are in the way, but I loved them and their fight to HEA.
I’m glad Sylvia got her HEA with Henry. I’m hoping we do not have long to wait for April’s story. I think that one will really put my heart through the ringer.
I love this series so much in which Melanie Harlow has done a wonderful creations with Henry and Sylvia. From seeing each other and spending time together brought easing conversations and self confidence. Their chemistry is off the charts but would their stand the test of being Unbreakable. I hope you will enjoy Henry and Sylvia as much as I did. Definitely recommend reading.
The Sawyer sisters have been one of my favorite group of siblings, and I’ve been waiting for the eldest sister’s story, and Melanie Harlow delivers a second chance romance in every sense of the word, for both Sylvia and her new leading man, Henry DeSantis.
When Sylvia’s story begins, she’s in quite the cringe-worthy situation, and while she might not handle it the best, especially since she’s more than a bit drunk and beyond pissed off, since she’s the woman scorned, the fact that she voices her opinions about her ex, his mistress, and those she associated with while married to her cheating ex is somewhat freeing and more than a little hilarious.
Sylvia refuses to allow her cheating husband to break her, even if he did already steal her joy and happiness, she won’t spend another minute letting him destroy what she has left, so it’s a smart move for her to head home, to be with her family who loves her, to find herself again, to replace all the negative she had to endure with every ounce of positivity that she can drum up. And those around her, help her to move forward, to not let her past define her present and ultimately her future. It’s definitely an uphill battle to feel like the woman she used to be, to feel like the mother she wants to be, but her unbending desire to rise above, to prove just how much better off she is pushes her to keep going, to keep trying, to hold steadfast to how she wants her life to be.
While Henry didn’t have to endure the kind of betrayal Sylvia did, he has his own reasons for focusing on work and only work, but when Sylvia returns home, he starts to open up and feel things that he hasn’t felt for so long, and even though these two fight their attraction because there’s too much at stake…too many lives affected if things go bad, their chemistry is strong enough to hold them together, to offer both of them a chance to be a part of something real, something imperfectly perfect, something worth holding on to at all costs.
One of the aspects of Harlow’s stories/series that I love the most is how much the secondary characters bring to the story line, and I don’t just mean past couples from earlier stories in the series, although it always is amazing to see how they’ve grown, but I’m talking about those who live and visit Cloverleigh Farms and Northern Michigan. It provides another perspective on the hero and heroine and sheds light on certain information that one or both may not have been privy to.
Melanie Harlow crafts romance that feeds readers’ hopelessly romantic hearts because while there is heartache to experience and to overcome, the fact that hope is never completely destroyed and that true love always leads to the creation of an unbreakable bond makes it easier to be steadfast against all of the negative and hold onto someone who is more than ready to help you create a future with all the love, affection, dedication, and happiness that can be found.
