In hindsight, I should not have had that fifth mimosa at Breakfast with Santa. Or the sixth, seventh, and eighth. But my shame over the public meltdown that resulted was nothing compared to being abandoned by my husband of fifteen years for a much younger woman—and did I mention she’s pregnant? For the sake of my children and my pride, I packed up and headed for my childhood home and the small town … childhood home and the small town where I grew up. Cloverleigh Farms would be the perfect place for a fresh start.
Falling for Henry DeSantis wasn’t part of the plan.
Sure, he’s easy on the eyes and hard in the bedroom (also the hallway, the bathtub, and on top of his desk), but he’s newly divorced too, and things between us are moving so fast I’m afraid neither one of us has had enough time to heal. Not to mention the fact that I’m a single mom now—my kids have to come first.
But Henry makes me feel beautiful and sexy and wanted and strong—I haven’t felt that way in years. We understand each other, and when I’m in his arms, I’m tempted to trust again. To love again. To let myself be loved without fear.
But deep down, I’m terrified.
Is this all too much, too soon? Or am I a fool to let a second chance at happily ever after pass me by?

How can doing the right thing for the right reasons still end up being wrong? Sylvia Sawyer has her life upended, and now she’s moving back to her family at Cloverleigh Farms, a single mother with two children who are devastated that their father left their family for another woman. Sylvia has enough to deal with between healing her family, finding herself, buying a house and getting a job, and a relationship with Henry DeSantis, the vintner for Cloverleigh Farms, couldn’t happen at a worse time. So what do Sylvia and Henry do with all the chemistry, desire and need they have for each other when there’s no other choice but to walk away?
This entire series has been amazing, and just when I think it’s impossible for the writing to get any better, we get Unbreakable. I just might be second guessing myself on reading this writer’s books because this one was freaking intense! So much authentic angst, my heart was all over the place: happy, then crushed, then merry, then stomped on, then euphoric and blissfully happy! Gah. How she packs so much in and draws so much out of the reader is a mystery to me, and it’s the sweetest, most wonderful agony! You really, really, really need to read this book!
Between the soul-deep connection and the realistic conflict of Sylvia and Henry, I was gripping my Kindle tightly, flying through each page, and it’s al I could do to keep hold of my heart as I took this intoxicating, heart-pulverizing ride. Every moment felt real, and these characters burrowed so deeply I’ll never be rid of them. Sylvia and Henry’s story is the ultimate read, an extraordinary journey, and your romantic heart will thank you for reading it. This one is absolutely not to be missed!
I really loved and adored reading this book and it’s definitely one of my favorites in this series; although I haven’t read all of them yet. It was a mix of emotions but also made you laugh out loud. A definite must read and one of my favorites for 2020!
Sylvia has had enough of all the gossip & heartbreak and leaves to move back home with her two children. Being back in Cloverleigh makes it easier to deal with things but the last few years with her ex has slowly taken its toll on her. She’s trying to do the right thing by her kids but somehow she’s also lost herself along the way and will do whatever it takes to take back control. When she and Henry meet again after all these years, there’s a spark between them that will ignite something that both have seem to forgotten the last few years. Henry also recently went through a divorce and knows how Sylvia is feeling. Although their bond is growing deeper, Sylvia still has some walls up and doesn’t want to risk their friendship even though it’s getting harder to deny their feelings. Will both find a way to heal from the past and maybe, just maybe, find that the one thing standing before them is what they’ve been looking for?…
Let’s start with this cover, WOW. It’s so gorgeous!! The words definitely match too. I was captivated from beginning to end. I was so ready for her story. She deserves the happiness! Henry is just, so much yes. I loved him far too much. Might just need to add him to my claimed pile and keep him forever. You need this book in your life. Read it!
Let me say that this is a wonderful series but can be read alone. It was beautifully written. Sylvia & Henry have passion & understand each other, as they are/have gone through similar situations. It’s a must read!
4.5 stars!!
I love the Cloverleigh Farms series and I was so excited to get my hands on Sylvia’s story after we found out her relationship with her husband was not as it seemed. I was so excited for her to move on from her cheating ex and find her happily ever after, and Unbreakable did not disappoint. It is a sweet and swoony small town romance with the perfect amount of sugar and spice, and I couldn’t help but fall in love with this story!
When Sylvia moves back home to Cloverleigh Farms after her divorce, she knows it will be hard to start over. She expects a challenge. What she doesn’t expect is Henry and how he makes her feel. A divorcee himself, they have a lot in common, especially the loneliness that comes with being single after thinking you had found your forever love. Now, they must navigate their growing feelings while figuring out what is best for everyone involved when the hurt from the past is still very present in both their lives.
Sylvia and Henry are rock solid individuals. Sylvia is hit with blow after blow when it comes to her ex and his new, young, pregnant fiancée and she doesn’t let it break her. Moving home is her only option and I loved that she made that decision for her and her kids. She puts her kids first and tries to be the best mother she can be.
Henry’s marriage was over before he knew it and he’s been single ever since his wife served him with divorce papers. He’s sweet and hardworking, and my heart went out to him. The challenges he faced broke my heart and I just wanted him to find his happily-ever-after with a wonderful woman who deserves the love he can has to offer.
Sylvia and Henry are easily one of my favorite Cloverleigh couples and I loved every moment of them together. They open up to each other and a beautiful friendship forms that is heartwarming and believable. Then, emotions blur the lines of their relationship and before they know it they are feeling things they haven’t felt in so long. It’s a fresh start between two broken souls who understand and support each other, and they make each other feel alive.
Sylvia and Henry’s chemistry is off the charts and they really know how to turn up the heat. Trying to keep things casual only increases their desires and they can’t keep their hands off off each other, especially since Henry knows how to spice things up!
“I crushed my mouth to hers. It was not the first kiss I’d imagined the other night in the winery—a sweet and gentle tasting of one another, a tentative meeting of wine-drenched tongues. This was a hot, searing, scotch-fueled, red-dress kiss that ate up all the oxygen in the room.”
Even though their love happens fast and it’s almost overwhelming, nothing feels rushed between them. It’a real and I never questioned how perfect they are for each other. Both as friends and lovers, there isn’t anything overly dramatic between them and the challenges they faced are realistic. Sometimes even when the love is there the timing is off. It’s heartbreaking but understandable when they realize what they need to do. I admired their strength and wished they could just be together. However, when you have a past that still hurts and kids who still need you, you can’t always do what you want.
There is not too much back and forth thankfully and I loved how everything plays out. It just proves how wonderful Sylvia and Henry are together and how selfless they are when it comes to everyone involved.
Overall, Unbreakable is a heartwarming love story and a wonderful addition to the Cloverleigh Farms series. I cannot wait for April’s story because the details we get about her past are emotional and I want her to find her own happily-ever-after!

A great addition to the Cloverleigh Farms series. Sylvia and Henry’s chemistry is OFF THE CHARTS!!! A wonderfully written story about two recent divorcees that are beyond attracted to each other and can’t stay away from each other despite the obstacles of Sylvia being a new single parent and temporarily living in her family home with her parents and two children. A must read whether or not you have read any of the other books in the series.
I’ve been eagerly awaiting this book in Melanie Harlow’s Cloverleigh series and wow! It didn’t disappoint… not one bit.
Do yourself a huge favor, just go and one click this book. You can thank me later! Because Henry and Sylvia stole my heart, it didn’t take long and it is forever.
These two damaged souls find each other because they both need to heal. And holy molly is the healing they do HOT. I mean…H O TTTT!
I enjoyed every minute of the journey these two characters go one to heal past scars and find out that life doesn’t end after divorce. There is a happy ever after, even when you thought it wasn’t going to ever happen.
This book can be read as a stand-alone but this series is so good, don’t deny yourself the joy of reading the other books.
Unbreakable is indeed my favorite book in the series! Two Broken souls pulled together & looking for their forever! Elizabeth @ Carolina Chic’s Read
Henry and Sylvia have both has terrible divorced and are both emotionally broken. This book is hands down my favorite if the series. I absolutely loved Sylvia and Henry.
These two were both so broken and scared of what the future would hold. Neither was looking for anything when they started talking and getting to know each other. But these two were absolutely perfect for one another. They filled a void in each other’s lives. Even though it might have seemed quick, both of them had marriages that truly ended long ago.
I love all of these characters and can’t wait for the next one.
Oh Henry! How I loved him! He’s completely perfect for Sylvia! They came together as there lives were in chaos and together they made themselves complete. I loved every bit of it! It’s funny, sad, sweet and super sexy. The heat is off the charts! I couldn’t wait to read this and it was definitely worth waiting for!
Let me start by saying that I knew that I was going to love this book (or at least enjoy it more than Undeniable) in the first few pages – Sylvia was immediately a woman that I could relate to, commiserate with, and root for. Having met Henry in a previous book, I also felt an immediate attachment to him as well so it’s almost as if the book had a leg up from the beginning. Melanie Harlow capitalized on that head start by creating palpable and believable chemistry between Sylvia and Henry, characters and situations that are real and relatable, as well as a bit of an aspirational romantic lead in Henry. There were moments when I wanted to cheer out loud for Sylvia, cry for the heartbreak she and her children and Henry were dealing with, and fan myself from the intensity of the heat between the couple. As a parent, I truly appreciated Sylvia’s struggles as a single mom and that might in fact be one of my favorite parts of the book – the way that the author wrote the children (and parenthood) was so very real and parts heartbreaking, refreshing, and encouraging. I’m pretty sure this is my second favorite book of the series (after Irresistible) and I’m really excited for April’s story after some gems about her backstory were dropped here. 4 out of 5 wine glasses.
4.5 Stars!
Sylvia is a woman who has been married for fifteen years when her entire life is turned upside down by her cheating husband. In search of a fresh start the newly single mom moves with her kids back home to northern Michigan where her family owns and runs Cloverleigh Farms. Sylvia is the oldest of the five Sawyer sisters, and really needed to be around those that love her most. She wanted to put the pieces of her life back together while figuring out what she wants after divorce. Her ex had robbed her of her joy, and she wanted it back.
Henry DeSantis has worked as the head winemaker at Cloverleigh Farms for over nine years, and loved his job. He’s freshly divorced, and hasn’t put himself back out there yet. When the eldest Sawyer daughter returns home, she’s the first woman to catch his interest in a long time. He likes being around her, and talking with her. They were at a similar place in life, and had both been through a lot, and were lonely. As their chemistry grows, Henry is hit with uncontrollable desire, and wants Sylvia to be his.
Neither wants to risk hurting their friendship, so they try to fight their attraction, but one touch and their addicted. Their just two people enjoying each other’s company, and having fun. Neither was really in the position to offer anything serious, and tried not to overthink things. As they find solace in one another circumstances get complicated as their relationship shifts and they crave more.
As Sylvia’s crush turns into the most pleasant surprise, she feels like a new woman. Henry is completely unexpected, and becomes the excitement in her life. He makes her feel everything, and ignited something within her. Being with him makes her happy, and was the one thing she was doing for herself. Things were moving fast, and she couldn’t get enough of his honesty and kindness. He gave her hope for the future that she could finally move on, but falling for him wasn’t part of the plan. Will she finally get her happily ever after?
Unbreakable (Cloverleigh Farms #4) by Melanie Harlow is a standalone passionate friends to lovers romance about second chances, beautiful connections, and true love. I loved this story, and these characters! Sylvia is fearless in her journey to finding herself and Henry is super swoony! I adored this man! This series is fantastic, and I can’t wait for the next book!
Unbreakable is the fourth book in the Cloverleigh Farms series. I loved Sylvia and Henry’s story. It has all the feels with twists and turns throughout the story. Both Henry and Sylvia have their own unique past to get through if their romance will grow. It is a great read!
Melanie Harlow’s incredible talent certainly shone through once again in her newest release UNBREAKABLE. I was immediately swept away by Henry and Sylvia’s love story. Their bantering and interactions were priceless, loved it!! Two broken hearted souls longing to find love and trust again. The chemistry between them was off the charts sizzling and intense. This story was written with so much love and feeling, Henry and Sylvia were perfect together. But was it all too fast? Could they trust their feelings? Would the children accept a new man in their moms life? Could they trust their hearts to know that this was real?I loved this series and I believe this has become my favourite. Henry has definitely stolen my heart!! Perfection!!
Melanie Harlow’s latest story is the perfect addition to her Cloverleigh Farms series. Unbreakable is sweet, sexy, funny and emotional and you’ll fall in love with both the characters and the setting. It reads as a complete standalone but it is interconnected with previous stories which I highly recommend you read because, hello….Melanie Harlow wrote them!
I just adored Sylvia and Henry! She’s brave and strong and so very wise. Struggling to piece her life back together after her divorce, she and her kids move home to Michigan to stay with her parents at their inn. There she spends time with Henry who is in charge of making the wine for Cloverleigh Farms. Henry is also newly divorced and living a solitary life, throwing himself into his work. He’s smart, sexy and lonely. The two form an immediate bond and I loved watching their relationship develop. There was so much chemistry between them, it pretty much arced off of the page. But their relationship is far from easy as neither feels they are ready for anything beyond a little bit of fun…or so they thought.
Harlow pens a beautiful story of love, loss, starting over and healing. She makes you feel just what the characters are feeling. Unbreakable will tug at your heartstrings and bring a smile to your face. Sylvia and Henry’s HEA will warm your heart in all the right ways. This one is a definite must-read! 5 stars
I love this book!! Henry and Sylvia’s story is heartbreaking, exciting, sweet, scary, emotional. I love how Melanie writes her stories and everything little thing come together.
Unbreakable by Melanie Harlow is a second chance at love romance with all kinds of feels. Sylvia was the sister that was married and lived away from the farm for most of the series. But when her marriage falls apart, she comes home for a fresh start with her children. The last thing she expected was Henry, the man that worked on the farm with her family for years to be a game changer. But he is also recently divorced, could anything that happened between them be real?
Sylvia was left vulnerable and a bit lost after what happened with her ex. But she was also strong and determined. Henry was also trying to deal with his new reality, but something about Sylvia drew him in. I loved their banter and the chemistry between them lit up the pages. I have absolutely loved this series and their characters so much. Unbreakable by Melanie Harlow was sweet, charming and about second chances.
Read and reviewed for Sultry Sirens Book Blog.
Happy reading!
All the feels that is what this book gives! Melanie Harlow continues to make us fall in love with the Cloverleigh Farms series. Henry and Sylvia’s story is amazing.
Sylvia has moved back home after a divorce with her selfish ex-husband. She puts her children first as she tries to adjust to this new world. She has her parents and sisters supporting her. As they all put family first. I love their family! Henry has worked at Cloverleigh for a decade. He too is freshly divorced. What starts as 2 people who are feeling lost, is an attraction that is undeniable for both of them. It is not only physical but emotional. They truly learn to trust each other. It is quick but real and they both struggle to know what is right not only for them but Sylvia’s kids.
A wonderful heartfelt story of 2 people who put others first and how they can make it work together!
I am in love with Henry DeSantis be still my heart he gives all the feels and meeting Sylvia Sawyer the older sister who I was fascinated by from the previous stories my heart hurt for her to find out her true situation , these two have been through so much and are the most beautiful souls and it’s not easy to think your deserving enough for another chance.
The words just flow so easily you truly get wrapped up in their life and route for them at every step I’m so glad she had her family what a strong connection they have it doesn’t get better then this. Just amazing.
Sylvia and Henry have an incredible second time around romance. Both have been married before, both thought they loved before, but both were overwhelmed with how hard and fast their love blossomed.
Unbreakable is a relatable romance of loving again after divorce. I was totally entranced by their whirlwind passion, Sylvia’s daring seduction of Henry and his extreme willingness to oblige her every fantasy.
From the second I started this story, I was glued to the pages. Henry made me fall in love with love again and remember the magic that can happen when cupid’s arrow first hits. Sylvia had some tough choices to make and her pain brought tears to my eyes. Henry’s persistence and trust in the unbreakable bond that they had built was the stuff dreams are made of.
Author Melanie Harlow wrote a superb story and also did an amazing job of dealing with the real issues and emotions that come along with divorce and children. Sometimes life is scary, sometimes love isn’t enough, and sometimes we have to put others first. And sometimes we meet a man who fights for that love and we let go of our fears and melt into the embrace.
Unbreakable is one of those books that let’s you escape into a world where love blooms, dreams are lived, and fantasies come to life. It was filled with beautiful, heartfelt moments that made my heart flutter. I just couldn’t get enough of Henry and Sylvia together. I’ve loved all of the Cloverleigh series books and love everything their family represents. This was my favourite due to the age of the couple. I’m an over 40 reader and I prefer reading about older characters. Henry and Sylvia are pushing 40 and have lived one life, ready to start again.
