Stand-alone Valentine Bay romance, complete with HEA–and plenty of heat and heart along the way!LUNAFor ten long years, Luna Dobrevsi has managed to avoid setting foot back in Valentine Bay, the gorgeous Oregon Coast town where she was raised by her Grandma Grace and Grandpa Serge. The reason for that absence was easy to pinpoint: Connor Adams. Her first love. She was so afraid that if she saw … so afraid that if she saw him again, she’d never be able to leave.
When her grandfather has a heart attack at Christmastime, though, she has to come back. Now the only question is…will she leave again? Or maybe it’s…why did she ever want to in the first place?
CONNOR
When Connor Adams watched his first love Luna drive off to college, he knew they were breaking up. That part was very clear. What he hadn’t known, though, was that it would be the last time he’d ever see her.
Until now, anyway. She came back to help take care of her grandfather after his heart attack, and when he sees her, all the old feelings rush back. In fact, he realizes they never really left. Now he just has to wonder…does she feel the same?
Can the magic of Christmas in Valentine Bay give a pair of brokenhearted high school sweethearts a second chance at love?

Amazing love story of two people who find their way back to each other after a decade apart. The old feelings that they think are gone are only waiting to be ignited again. Connor and Luna both have issues to work thru to find their Happily ever after. Great story!
This was such a great story of true love second chances.
Luna has stayed away from Valentine Bay for over 10 years. She didn’t want to have to face the one person she has loved forever, the one person she has never been able to forget and the one person who still holds her heart, Connor.
Unfortunately, or fortunately depending on how you look at it, Luna must come back home. Luna’s grandpa had a heart attack and is in the hospital.
What happens when Luna sees the grown up, very handsome Connor for the first time after over 10 years. Will sparks still fly? Will she be able to keep her distance? Or will she finally give into her heart and let Connor back into her life?
Connor has missed Luna since the day she left. When she left for college, she took his heart with her. Connor is shocked the first time he lays eyes on Luna after over 10 years. She is even more beautiful than she was back in high school. But, is he willing to let her see the love he still holds for her or will he disregard her in order to keep being shattered again if she leaves? Is Connor willing to risk is all?
You will fall in love with Luna and Connor. Beautiful souls that have held onto their love for each other through years of being separated and life going on as if they never known each other existed.
I loved this book for a lot of reasons. It starts with Luna returning to the home she fled 10 years before to support her grandparents who raised her. Luna feels a need to make them proud and that is why she left home and never came back – wanting to make a success of herself outside Valentine Bay. When she left, she left Connor behind and broke both of their hearts when she never looked back. Connor has never forgotten her or the love they had and he accepts her back with open arms to comfort her as she worries about her grandfather. I love the book because Connor is so forgiving and doesn’t make Luna suffer for leaving him – as they have both suffered a lot. I love that Luna has to learn that she can be a success in Valentine Bay and make her grandparents proud without having to leave! Another winner!
I loved reading Luna and Connor’s second chance love story in Unbreak My Heart book five in the Valentine Bay series, written by the amazing sister duo of Melanie Shawn. Luna left Valentine Bay, her friends, and her first love Connor, all behind when she left for college. In fact, she never returned in those ten years for fear that once she stepped back in town, she would never be able to leave again; especially if she saw Connor again. It takes her grandfather having a grandfather, at Christmas-time, for her to finally return. Returning home is emotional for Luna. She was raised by her parents and worked in their diner before leaving. This gives her an opportunity to, help reopen the diner, reconnect with her friends as well as discover, once she encounters Connor, whether she has ever truly stopped loving him. When Connor sees Luna has returned all of his old feelings rush back; making him realize that they never left. He now wonders if she feels the same and whether he can he convince her to stay.
Melanie Shawn wrote a wonderful and sexy story that is definitely not to be missed. This sister team provided a tale rich with off the chart sexual chemistry, amusing banter, and fantastic characters and a community of support giving Luna and Connor a chance for happiness, love and a future together, in Valentine Bay. I highly recommend Unbreak My Heart to other readers.

I love going back to Valentine Bay. In this story we see the journey of Luna and Conner. Once high school sweethearts that let life and distance get in the way of their love. After suffering a heart attack Luna returns to take care of her grandfather. Little did she know that the love she once left was waiting for her. Conner having stayed in Valentine Bay never forgot her. Sparks fly when they reconnect. I love also that we see characters from previous books. Def a 5 star book
Second Chance at Love!!
Luna and Connor were high school sweethearts. But Luna felt pressure to make herself into a strong, independent woman, and so she left Connor behind and went away to college. She knew if she went home, she likely wouldn’t want to leave again, so she did not go home. Unfortunately, her grandfather suffers a heart attack, and so she jumps in her car and drives home to be there for him.
Connor did not move on from Luna, or from the hurt he felt by her leaving him. Together, they manage the cafe, rediscovering their strong feelings for the other. This was a quick, easy read, with a Holiday feel.
I received a complimentary copy of this book. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.
What a perfect second chance romance holiday book. As always, I love our hero and heroine – Luna and Connor and totally loved watching them from the sidelines and to see if they were going to get their second chance. Of course, it wouldn’t be a Valentine Bay book without our favorite couples and this book had everybody. This was such a great story from beginning to the end and I especially enjoyed the ending. I always look forward to visiting Valentine Bay and this visit and story was great!
Highly entertaining, sexy, fun and heartwarming second chance journey filled with interesting charters, witty banter, heart aching past and undeniable passion….. was a great read from beginning to end. Really loved this holiday adventure.
This was such a good book. It was well written, heart warming, and so sweet.
It is a great story of second chances. Most things are not insurmountable when you really love someone and are meant to be with them.
I love the relationship between Luna and her grandparents. Then the relationship between Connor and Luna is sweet but still spicy. Although there were 10 years from when hearts were broken, they were quick to mend and start on forever.
Unbreak My Heart is another wonderful addition to the Valentine Bay series. This is a great second chance romance and holiday spirit. Luna amd Connor are great together amd I enjoyed visiting all the characters of Valentine Bay again. What a wonderful story.
Off the charts chemistry from start to finish! Luna and Connor share some crazy hot chemistry that seems to have gotten better with time apart. Working through all of their issues, perceived and real, take some time and honesty. Luna isn’t really sure why she has stayed away from Valentine Bay for the last 10 years, but her grandfather’s heart attach brings her back in 4 hours. Connor doesn’t realize that the depth of his feelings for Luna are still there until he sees her. Luna finally discusses her interpretation of what she felt was expected of her by her grandparents and has a epiphany. Grandma Valentine seemed so much more grandmotherly, but still regal, in this story. Loved it from start to finish.
Leaving town after high school, Luna has made a conscious effort to not go back to her hometown, but after her grandfather ends up in the hospital she races back. The reason she hasn’t come back – her high school sweetheart ex, Connor. Still harboring feelings and unresolved tension over what happened over ten years ago, Luna and Connor begin to get to know each other as adults and the possibility of a second chance. While time has changed, neither of these characters personalities and feelings have, therefore making them bound to be together again. Part of what I love about second chance books is that these characters get to know each other and learn about each other all over again, and while we get little bits of how they were in the past, it’s a great aspect to the story to see them give a second chance while also reconnecting with old friends.
I voluntarily read and reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.
We are back in Valentine Bay. This time for the Christmas season. A time for miracles, rebirth, new beginnings and a second chance for love .
A second chance for Luna Dobrevsi and Connor Adams. Two individuals that were HS sweethearts until Luna left for college and broke Connor’s back.
She left in search of becoming independent and to stay away from the small town life. He stayed behind but neither forgot the other.
Ten years later an emergency brings back a more mature Luna.
Will the romance be rekindled and be permanent?
This is a good addition to the series and a chance to visit with characters from previous books.
I was entrusted a copy of this book. The opinions expressed are solely my own.
