No. 1 New York Times bestselling author Colleen Hoover returns with a new heart-wrenching love story. When Tate Collins meets airline pilot Miles Archer, she doesn’t think it’s love at first sight. They wouldn’t even go so far as to consider themselves friends. The only thing Tate and Miles have in common is an undeniable mutual attraction. Once their desires are out in the open, they realize they … they realize they have the perfect set-up. He doesn’t want love, she doesn’t have time for love, so that just leaves the sex. Their arrangement could be surprisingly seamless, as long as Tate can stick to the only two rules Miles has for her.
Never ask about the past.
Don’t expect a future.
They think they can handle it, but realize almost immediately they can’t handle it at all.
Hearts get infiltrated.
Promises get broken.
Rules get shattered.
Love gets ugly.

One of my favorite books of all time. The backstory was delivered in such a creative way, only making me want to read faster to get my answers. It’s sexy and sweet too. My favorite combo.
This is my second Colleen Hoover read & this one was less impressive IMO. I loved Verity and had high hopes for Ugly Love.
I liked the storyline a lot. However, I did not like how it was executed. I’m generally not a fan of flashbacks but I can adapt. This story requires flashbacks but I did not like the writing style of them. When reading the flashbacks, it felt like reading a 14 year old girls diary rather than an 18 year old guys memories.
I enjoyed both of the main characters, but I did feel like Miles needed more. His character development was spot on, but I still felt his personality/character was missing something. He was unintentionally awkward and at times he was cringe-worthy for me.
When you tell yourself that you’ll never love again, then wham, love is knocking at your door. That is Tate’s and Miles’ story. Tate a nurse and Miles a pilot agreed to just be sex partners. No past should be discussed and no future should be expected. As their relationship developed, they started to have feeling for each other. Miles’ tragic past broke him and he gave up on love.
Love the way Colleen wrote this book. You are reading two different stories which at the end, they become one. This book has great characters, is a page turner and it pulls at your heart.
BEST BOOK EVER, I didn’t want it to finish
5 breathtaking stars!! This book is going straight on the favorites list!! I can’t believe I made it through this book in one piece.
“Don’t ask about my past… And never expect a future..”
This book is about loving again after losing it all. But what kills me is how much beauty this author puts in the book and little do you know she is leading you to your own slaughter. I will say I felt a rainbow of emotions with this book. But the end had be crying and aching inside.
Colleen, I have recently learned, is a master manipulator of words. She makes you believe these things and feel things you may not want to feel. Ugly Love did just that. It hurt me to my soul but made me come up and appreciate what I have.
I enjoyed the story of Rachel. It was young love and whether or not someone has experienced that along with loss we all can understand. But to me that person who lost it all. Miles was a rough nut to crack but once you did your heart just felt full. God bless Tate because she has the patience of a saint. These two together equals beautiful!!
This book was amazing and I can’t wait to read another By this author.
This is one of my all-time favorite books. Bring your tissues because there will be lots of tears.
This book quickly became a favorite of my and still holds number one in the Colleen H. Area. Though November 9 came close to taking it. I recommended because it’s a beautiful challenging story of what some of us have gone through.
you wont be able to let it go from your mind soon.Ugly Love
What a remarkable story. From the start, I was in love with the idea of Tate and Miles as a couple (even though they weren’t together). Perhaps it was because of the chemistry I felt when they first met. Regardless I was looking forward to how their relationship would develop and I was not disappointed.
Ugly Love took me on a ride that pulled at my heartstrings. What Miles went through in the past which shaped who he became and seeing Tate falling in love with Miles who seems to keep her at a distance and yet have a hold on her made my heart waver. I bawled my eyes out from the heartache that Miles and Tate felt but it was so good.
I loved this book so much. It put me through a rollercoaster of emotions. I loved her writing, the book was just amazing. I can’t wait to pick up another one of her books
Colleen Hoover has quickly become one of my favorite authors. This is the third book of hers that I’ve read, and as my track record is getting through them in about a day, I need her to write faster! This book pushed the boundaries of what I’m comfortable with regarding bedroom scenes, but there was kind of a point to that, too.
This book is perfection in every freaking single way.
I only picked this book from my tbr because i havent read a coleen hoover book in so long.
Just by reading the name i knew this is not going to be a easy read.
We meet Tate when she moves to her brother’s apartment and finds a drunk Miles sitting by the door.
They both had a mutual attraction towards eachother but dont dont want anything more than sex.
They get into it with the promise to not catch eelings but does it work?
Fuck no.
This book goes to the deep end , guts you then brings you back up with a little hope and then crushes you and then comes my favourite part …the ending and its not because the book is over it is because it is the most happiest part for the story for me. i
This story has drained me emotionally but has given me an amazing book high that you cant even imagine.
I had my moments where my hand would automatically go to ym chest to brace for the coming heartache or my eyes would get watery when some scene would hit me hard.
Tate is working her hours to become a nurse and is very hardworking but around Miles she is liquid and cant resist him ever and even though she knows he is going to hurt her she cant stop being with him.
Miles is a pilot ,very closed off and mysterious and even though Tate is really intrigued to know about his past and why he is the way he is she wont ask him and this is when the dual povs help because Tate’s POV is for the present while Miles’ POV is from six years ago.
When you get to know about miles’ backstory you cannot not cry and that explains why he doesnt ever want to love again ever.
If you are coleen hoover fan then you know that none of her books can end without amazingly crafted steamy scenes and she has not disappointed us.
Ugly Love is very powerfully thrilling, mysterious , has a lot of suspense and emotional to the T.
It is the perfect balance of devasting and full and love.
It is a friends with benefits, brothers best friend trope based romance availabe on kindle unlimited.

There are over 218,000 words in the English language and no combination of those words can properly and efficiently describe this book. It is an emotional journey that reaches into your soul and makes you feel. You laugh. You sob. You scream. You cheer. I could not put this book down. It was wonderful and heartbreaking and soul shattering and easily one of the best books I have ever had the privilege to read.
Ugly Love – Colleen Hoover

5/5 Stars
“Ugly love becomes you. Consumes you. Makes you hate it all. Makes you realize that all the beautiful parts aren’t even worth it. Without the beautiful, you’ll never risk feeling the ugly. So you give it all up. You give it all up. You never want love again, no matter what kind it is, because no type of love will ever be worth living through the ugly love again.”
When Tate Collins moves into her brother’s apartment building, she meets Miles Archer, the airplane pilot across the hall. They aren’t friends, and they definitely aren’t in love, but there’s a mutual attraction between them that leads to a strictly benefit relationship. No strings attached. Miles only has two rules, and Tate follows them both.
Don’t ask about the past.
Don’t expect a future.
But rules were meant to be broken, leaving the two in a dangerously messy situation.
Colleen Hoover outdid herself in this scarring novel about painful love and beautiful messes. Without going into too much detail and risking spoiling this book for readers, I can really only say that this is my absolute favorite book of Hoovers. I’ve recommended it to everyone I know. Seriously. It’s painful and emotional, filled with so much damage, it was written specifically to split your heart in two, but in the best kind of way. I promise.
The title really is the best descriptor of this tragically haunting novel. Miles and his story will make you cry, and Tate’s lonely heart will make you anticipate the taste of a happy ending. I can’t say whether or not you’ll get one, just that it’s worth the emotional damage to read this novel.
I didn’t fall in love with this book, I flew.
I don’t usually like out and out romantic stories, but this! Oh my word!! Couldn’t put it down!
As with any Colleen Hoover book I expect to get a story that is remarkable and Ugly Love was no different but this story was heavy, real and honestly, I wasn’t prepared. Miles and Tate broke my heart for different reasons, yet Miles was the one whose story took my breath away and not in the good way.
“I know the thought of confronting your past terrifies you. It terrifies every man. But sometimes we don’t do it for ourselves. We do it for the people we love more than ourselves.”
How can one person change your life? To me that was a lot of this story. It wasn’t how one person changed another person’s life, it was about how Rachel changed Miles life, Miles changed Tate’s life and in turn Rachel and Tate ended up changing Miles life. It is a story that passes what seems like lifetimes but is only years and it was so beautiful. I devoured this book in less than a day because I had to know what was going to happen, I had to know what made Miles the way he was. Also, I had to know what Tate saw in Miles to keep being there for him. There were several times where I would have given up but Tate didn’t she kept pushing which annoyed because she put herself in that position. She knew what she was getting into but at the same time how can we know what we are or not capable of if we don’t give it a shot?
Ugly Love did not make me ugly cry but it did make my tear up when we finally get the full impact of Miles story because it hurt, it really hurt. As if I could give this book any less than five stars, because every time COHO writes a book it is as if she lays her heart out on each page and I felt that in this book maybe more than in her other books.
This is one of my top favorites by CoHo-and that’s a hard choice to make.
It ties in everything I love to read.
Book 112 towards my goal of 290! 5/5 stars for this adult romance reread! I was slumping so hard and a friend suggested reading an old favorite to pull me out of it, and it worked! To be honest I’d forgotten most of what happened thanks to my potato brain This is definitely a crying book. CoHo wrecked my feelings, as usual. But if you need a good romance with some tears, I cannot recommend this one enough! Just have your tissues ready!
Hands down one of my favorite CoHo books of all time!
Amazing story with all the feels!
