Number one rule of ride sharing as a female driver? Don’t fall for the mysterious man riding in the backseat.
Lenora
I came across crazy people on the daily giving rides to strangers for a living. I carried pepper spray and I wasn’t afraid to use it. But one gorgeous male in a fake mustache and a story he wasn’t willing to share, and I was ready to climb in the backseat to peel his layers. He’s … share, and I was ready to climb in the backseat to peel his layers. He’s a distraction I don’t need as I graduate online college and try to get my first professional job so I can move out of my parents’ house before I’m thirty. I’m so close to realizing my dreams I can taste it.
Jayden
I should have never hit on my driver. Even if she was the hottest thing I’d seen in cutoff jean shorts in maybe forever. I wasn’t in Auburn Hill for personal reasons and getting involved with the locals came ill-advised as I set up my new business. I probably shouldn’t know she curses like a sailor in bed considering I wind up interviewing her for a position in my company. Now I’m thinking of all kinds of positions I can put her in. Maybe she’ll settle for being an employee with benefits…
But none of that matters now. Because I fired her.
In front of the whole town.
On her first day.
Pretty sure there’s no coming back from that.
Uber Bossy is a laugh-out-loud RomCom featuring a single dad opening a salacious new business in a small town and the preacher’s daughter who really doesn’t want to be dating her new boss. Uber Bossy is book two in the Jobs From Hell series.

I loved this book from Hell! This is one crazy small town!
* Start with such a sweet leading lady with a life’s creed that involves hugging everyone to creative expletive-esque vocabulary when driving
* Add a jaded single dad that rearranges his life to be present for everything
* With a sprinkle of pleasure toys
I look forward to reading more books about Hell!
Another great book in the ‘Jobs from Hell’ series.
Hats off to Marika Ray for another great story in the crazy country town affectionately known as Hell.
Jayden and Lenora were great minor characters in Lucy and Bain’s story, so I was excited about this book!
I laughed with Jayden’s goat run-ins and Lenora’s crazy passengers. And that roundabout. And STILL the seagulls and cats. I love this town, ha ha!
A great story filled with a lot of unexpected twists and questions… such as when will the Mayor get what’s coming to him? Aye! Will the next story be about Amelia? We know who she HAS TO end up with…!
This book was amazing. It had some mystery. Who is Jay starts the mystery. Why is he is this small town?
There was so much amazing humor throughout the book. I mean why he was is town was enough to make me laugh out loud.
Nora and Jay have a whirlwind romance and they met in a sweet way.
I can’t wait for more in this series. Marika writes some fun books-I enjoy reading them.
I loved this romantic comedy with single dad Jayden and Lenora. Jayden is adorable with his over-the-top cute baby Red. Lenora is determined to achieve her goals, and I love her drive to succeed. There are funny moments with goats, sea gulls, and a skunk. There are also plenty of hot times. More than anything, I love that Jayden sees Nora for the good that she is and learns to trust her completely. I loved that Lenora is able to move into a more adult relationship with her parents over the course of the story. I look forward to more stories about the characters of Hell.
I really needed a book that gave me a good laugh and a lot of swoon, and I definitely got it with this book. Lenora’s character is really funny and really refreshing, and I enjoyed her storyline quite a bit. What I like about her most is that even when life and love bring her down, she finds a way to turn it around and make the best of it, even when it was hard to do that. She has such a great spirit and was so fun to read.
And Jayden. Secretive, swoon-worthy, single dad Jayden. He bounces back multiple times from not-so-fun situations (don’t want to spoil it), and while he does have some moments where his insecurities get the best of him, he truly is a great man with a great heart and a desire to take care of those he loves. He’s a fantastic dad, too, which made me swoon even more over him.
This story brings lots of laughs, some emotional moments, and a great cast of characters that will leave you wanting more. Definitely a must-read for the summer!
Super funny Rom-Com by the amazingly talented Marika!
This was adorable, it was sexy, and it was FUN! From fake mustaches to French-kissing goats to a nosey & gossipy mail carrier to a Hardware Store with fun toys, this story was highly entertaining and unputdownable.
Lenora & Jayden were so cute together! I loved how she kept at him, trying to get him to open up with her kindness and adorable-ness. The last thing the single dad wants is a relationship, but there’s no way he can resist the free-hug givin’, potty-mouthed Uber driver. Plus, their chemistry sizzled right off the pages. There was no fighting that.
Not only are the main characters awesome and super lovable, but so are the secondary characters. They add so much to the story. I love that we get to see Lucy & Bain again! I loved them so much from book one. And little Red…he kinda stole my heart.
This story has plenty of humor, but it also has so much heart. A perfect mix of laughs, warm fuzzies, toe-curling tingles.
Small town goodness, check.
Tons of charm, check.
Hair pulling deliciousness, hell to the yes, CHECK.
Looking for a well-written RomCom to make you smile, laugh, and probably snort-giggle numerous times? I‘d go with this one!
WOW! This is a hilarious, laugh out loud, book. Jayden and Nora (Elanora) are a wonderfully well written couple. I didn’t think I was going to like these stories set in “Hell” but both have enchanted me and I can’t wait for the next one. I loved reading about all the quirky residents of Hell and look forward to many more visits with them.
I received a free copy of this book and this is my voluntary, honest review.
Nora is an absolute hoot with her devil may care attitude when driving as well as well as her long term determination to graduate college online and get her business degree while being debt free. Jayden is a bit of a mystery swooping into town in disguise and not wanting anyone to know what he is doing and well… rightfully so! I really liked how things were a bit of a slow burn between Nora and Jayden and you weren’t sure which direction it would take along with seeing and getting to know other characters you met in the first book. There is laughs, attraction, secrets, heartache, cute kids and great friends and a romance to keep you hooked and turning the page until the very end.
Uber Bossy (Jobs fromHell Book 2)
Marika Ray
I was so happy to be back visiting Auburn Hell, I mean Hill. This book is exactly what I was needing, some great big laughs, and oh will the characters of Auburn Hill make you laugh. This book can be read as a standalone, but you will understand some of the characters and the quirkiness of Auburn Hill better if you read Love Bank first, and quite frankly, once you read one of these, you are going to want to read the rest of the series. I loved Lucy and Bain, and thought that it would be hard to top them, but Marika did it again with Lenora (Nora) and Jayden. These two were pretty much instantly attracted to one another, and the chemistry between them was off the charts. I loved the reference to the goat in this book (if you’ve read some of Marika’s other books, you get this). Oh and cute little Red sure won over Nora. Jayden has been burned by women in his past, twice and has sworn off relationships and women, he is coming to Auburn HIlls to start up a new company and live in a small town near his brother to raise his son. He doesn’t count on meeting a cute Uber driver who says many crazy things while driving, and is hot and he just can’t stop thinking about her. Nora breaks down so many of his barriers. They are just such an adorable couple. I can’t wait for the next in this series as there are so many people in this town that I want to learn more about. Oh and I can’t wait to see how Jayden’s new company, The Hardware store fares in this small conservative town. If you are in need of a great book that will more than likely have you laughing out loud, this is a great one to pick up. Marika has a way of writing Rom Com’s that I totally enjoy and have not found in others.
I love the meet-cute between these two. It was sweet, crazy and mysterious. The people and animals of Auburn Hill never fail to amuse me. I love rom-coms. They give you some sweet and sexy romance while gasping for air by laughing so hard. Marika Ray, especially on this series, does rom-com very well. I can’t wait for the next book as I have so many questions about the other characters.
What a brilliant lighthearted rom-com this story is. I loved reading about what happens in Hell and laughed so much at the goings-on. I loved the way the story unfolded and the characters were amazing to read about. I really enjoyed this one and can’t wait to see what opens up in Hell next.
Nora and Jayden’s book was just the light hearted read I needed. This town is definitely jam packed with hilarious characters and there are plenty of LOL moments to go with the chemistry. Really enjoyed this great addition to the series.
From the moment she picked him from airport, she felt attraction to him. Who he was, he told her, his name was Jay, was this true, or fake as his mustache?
The moment Jayden has seen his driver, she was distraction, he didn’t need it.
He had business to start and a son, those two things, were most important in his life. Why then, every time he did see Leonora, he couldn’t think about anything else.
Loved the storyline, characters, friendship.
I love reading rom coms by Marika Ray simply because these stories make me feel happy. Uber Bossy is no exception. Hilarious and witty yet completely believable incidents all through the story guranteed I had a great time. Quirky and adorable characters who made me fall in love instantly. And Marika Ray’s writing was on point to make it one entertainment blockbuster!
Lenora is the sole female Uber driver in Aubern Hill. This town is just awesome. With it’s scenic beauty, the sea beach, quaint charm and nosy but good wishing citizens. Lenora is a hardworking girl who uses the money for her college degree. As a cab driver, she sure sees a lot of exciting and interesting people. But no one is like Jayden. The charismatic new guy in town with a fake moustache. He is here with his son Alfred and with the intent of setting up the new branch of his business. And he doesn’t certainly need the distraction of a loud mouthed ever smiling cab driver.
The chemistry between Jayden and Lenora is instant and crazy. Jayden has a shield around his heart but Lenora barges right past it. And Lenora also finds her Soulmate in this amazing man. Jayden activated some major swoon factor in me. Single dad..businessman..charming..sexy..he is just the full package. I love Lenora’s energy and way of living. I felt like I am part of their crew and that was just an amazing feel! I laughed so hard, swooned so hard and just had a great time.
Marika Ray’s witty and flawless writing won me over once again in Uber Bossy. Be ready to have a fantastic ride full of fun, heat and swoon!

She knows that at this stage in her life that she needs to get a move on and move out of her parents house and while she is nearly about to do this she doesn’t want any distractions or anything to get in the way. Although that is about to change when Jayden comes to her small town and changes everything.
Jayden is the guy that is in the cab that is about to change Lenora’s life in more ways than one. Jayden is the mysterious man with the fake mustache and he catches her eye and they click. He has some issues himself especially with trusting people but can Nora change all that for him and together find love?

This book will have you laughing out loud and loving every minute of Nora and Jayden’s story and you will be laughing along with them. These characters like all this authors characters were written awesomely and you actually feel like they are real. These characters have some awesome chemistry and the connection that they have together is electric. This fun, loving beautifully written romance book will hold your attention and you wont be able to put it down and I cant wait to read the next installment in this series.
This book is a real must read and I will be recommending this book when it gets released.
Thank you to the author and publishers for allowing me to read an early copy of this book. ARC provided in exchange for a honest voluntary review.
This book was fantastic! This is Book two in the series but it can be read as a standalone. Although I highly recommend starting with the first book so that you can meet all of the amazing characters in the novel.
This book is Lenora and Jayden’s story and let me tell you I have been waiting for this book to release. I just knew Lenora’s book was going to be epic. She is such a free spirit and speaks her mind and I really believe everyone needs a Lenora in their lives!!!! Jayden for his part is a swoon worthy gentleman who is a single father just trying to provide for his adorable son. I loved the attraction between Lenora and Jayden, the easy flow/banter between them and I really enjoyed watching their relationship grow and process throughout this novel.
I love Marika’s writing style. Her books always put a smile on my face and have my heart bursting with joy. This book is a feel good romance that will draw you in from start to finish. I highly recommend this book.
Once again we return to Auburn Hill (Hell) and the town is just as crazy as ever to get a real feel for this place read book 1 Love Bank first you won’t be disappointed. Like all Marika books it is the characters that make them and you will feel like you have made new friends by the time you hit the end of the book
Lenora knows there is definitely something hinky about her latest fare as an uber driver after all that moustache is definitely fake but she can’t help but be attracted to him anyway. Jayden has come to Auburn Hill from LA he wants to open a new business here now that his brother lives here. He is attracted to his uber driver and it gets stronger every time she drives him. Soon he is drawn into the madness that is this town and in the process has he destroyed any chance he had with Lenora Be prepared to laugh yourself silly and please don’t read in public you could be committed before you know it as you chuckle and giggle out loud
This book has everything you’re looking for and didn’t know you were. It’s sweet, spicy, quirky, funny, full of unique situations and even brings creative language to the table and trust issues.
Jayden has had his fair share of bad relationships and now has serious trust issues. His view of the world is a little jaded you might say. Yeah it’s a bad play on words.
Lenora is a people pleaser with creative language skills. She’s just tying to finish her education and move on up and out. She lives in a small town full where everybody knows your name as well as all your business. Your business is their business, or so they seem to think.
These two meet and there’s more chemistry than a science experiment.
You will laugh, smile, and cheer for these two from the beginning.
I read this book in one sitting and the smile never left my face.
Jayden is the mysterious stranger who has just moved from LA to Auburn Hill (a.k.a Hell) to start up a new business. He is set on not getting involved with the locals until he hops in Nora’s Uber and starts hitting on her and is about to change her way in more ways than one. Lenora (Nora) meets strange people every day while driving them around to their destinations. She knows it’s time to get out of her parent’s house and start out on her own. When a gorgeous male with a fake mustache enters her car for an Uber ride, everything in her life changes.
Jayden and Nora had sparks right from day one and continues to grow with every meeting. The town of Auburn Hill and its patrons are unusually quirky but extremely tight-knit and make you want to be a part of their town. Uber Bossy is the second book in the Jobs from Hell series and is a funny and witty romance. This was my first novel by Marika Ray and I am looking forward to catching up and then heading back to Hell.
