She’s come back to steal his heart.Ty Jenkins is a good man. For five long years he’s devoted his life to his young daughter, Katie, giving everything he’s got to make sure she won’t miss the one thing she can’t have–a mother. When that very woman blows back into town, Ty’s world is turned upside down. He’d do anything to care for Katie, but caring for her gets complicated when he still has … still has feelings for the woman who abandoned them both.
Jodi Morgan has made a lot of mistakes in her life, and the biggest one of all was giving up her infant daughter the day she was born. But now she’s back in Big Sur, California, determined to be there for her girl however she can. What Jodi didn’t count on was the way she feels about Katie’s father. Between his devotion to Katie and his work-honed body, Ty is one hell of an attractive package.
As two parents begin a journey to do what’s best for their child, they rediscover the feelings they once had for one another. Can Ty trust Jodi not to leave again? Has she come to be part of Katie’s future? Or will she steal his heart?

Ty’s Heart is the final book in the California Cowboys trilogy. Each book stands alone but the stories are about three brothers so I highly recommend reading them all and in order because of the time lines. Ty Jenkins is our middle brother. He’s 28, has been a single father for 5 years and lives a good but incomplete life. Realistically, most men do not plan on being a father at 23 and doing it alone. He was having a summer romance with Jodi Morgan and she accidentally got pregnant. Jodi felt incapable to be a mother at 22 and to marry a guy that she had only been dating for 3 months was not something that she wanted to do. She had been raised my a single, sad mother, and that was not something that she wanted for her child. Ty decides to raise the baby on his own with the help of his older brother and aunt. He as a job with the family business and can provide a good life for their child. Now it’s 5 years later, Jodi has matured and has returned to establish a spot in her daughter’s life. She is not after money, custody or anything more then being available to her daughter should she want her mother in her life. Jodi has a career now and is opening up a practice in Big Sur. As you can imagine, Ty does not handle this news well. This is where I stop my description as not to ruin the story for the reader. Selena Laurence does an excellent job of giving the reader a contemporary romance with happiness, heartbreak, heat and hope. The entire series in written in dual POV and I highly recommend it to any fans of contemporary romance.
Ty’s Heart was an absolute gift for readers that have loved the California Cowboys series! For me, it was the perfect ending to what is easily my favorite book series of 2017, and continued proof that Selena Laurence is an absolute master of her craft. I truly don’t have the words to sum up my feelings about this book in a way that will do justice to the author’s talent, but I’ll try my best. Without a doubt, this book was an emotional read. Ty and Jodi brought a wonderful little girl into the world five years earlier, but in the best interests of her child, Jodi gave up her rights to Katie and moved away. After years of working to make herself whole, Jodi is back hoping to be a part of Katie’s life. Following along as Jodi is accepted into the fold by the various women in Katie’s life, and eventually Ty and his brothers, was beyond satisfying. The emotional journey the characters have taken over the course of the series played out beautifully to the very end, allowing the most precious of them, Katie Bug, to discover a beautiful relationship with her mother. I was so happy to see the care and consideration given to this child throughout the series, but most especially in this final book. Additionally, I was thrilled to see Ty and Jodi realize that they had always worked as a team for the benefit of their daughter. I loved the respect they showed one another, and appreciated that they took their time to get to know each other again before diving into a more personal relationship. As a reader, I could not have asked for a more perfect wrap up of this series. It’s worth repeating that every book in this series has played out in my mind as though I’m watching a film. The California Cowboys are about overcoming the struggles we face in life, and finding hope, peace, and redemption in those we love.
