I. Remember. Everything.Only now I wish I didn’t. When the fog is sucked away from my mind like smoke through a vacuum, the truth that has been beyond my reach for months finally reveals itself. But the relief I thought I would feel never comes, and I’m more afraid now than I was the morning I woke up handcuffed in King’s bed. Because with the truth comes dark secrets I was never meant to know.I … secrets I was never meant to know.
I will put the lives of those I love most at risk if I let on that my memory has returned, or if I seek help from the heavily tattooed felon who owns me body and soul.
I don’t know if I’m strong enough to resist the magnetic pull toward King that grows stronger every day.
He’s already saved me in more ways than one. Now it’s my turn to do whatever it takes to save him.
Even if that means marrying someone else…

Wow!!! What a wild ride. It was full of twist and turns. Was on the edge of my seat threw the whole book. Just love all the characters. On to the next book.
I could not put this book down and after reading King it was the worst wait for Tyrant. My advice for this series is to make sure you have both books because as soon as the first one ends you’re going to need Tyrant right away!! The story was intense and heart breaking but the whole time you see the strength that both Ray and King have and the love that they fight for!
Another brilliant book to the conclusion of their story! I love King, he’s the perfect alpha male
I cannot put into works how much I loved this book. TM Frazier took us on a journey of epic proportions.
I had guessed who the Tyrant was but even I wasn’t prepared for the full story. This story had many layers, dark secrets and so many twists and turns I felt dizzy! I can’t really reveal any aspects without giving away spoilers and that would just ruin the story for anyone who hasn’t ventured into this series.
The story is pretty dark incorporating rape and violence. There were a couple of plot holes but I think you have to suspend belief and just enjoy the story for what it is. It was the perfect ending for Doe/Ray and King. These two MCs had endured and been tortured enough. They deserved to find peace, although I have a feeling we will be seeing them as the series continues.
Told from a dual POV, the story was very graphically written so please ensure you are not phased by dark books. All I can say is read this series, you won’t be disappointed
“I wasn’t about to wear white and pretend to be an angel, when I’d lived and fallen in love with the devil.” – Ramie
The Greek physician, Hippocrates is said to have been the originator of the expression “desperate times call for desperate measures”. What does this have to do with anything? I am beginning this review with a little bit of self-disclosure, self-deprecation and self-flagellation in a sense (not the good kind though ). Thank you for your indulgence.
Circumstances have called me away from my beloved reading and review writing and I was quite frankly uncomfortable with myself. I asked myself over and over why does it matter if you review a book or not? After all, in the overall scheme of things… my opinion isn’t really that significant and I certainly derive no monetary value from the practice. I am rather poorer financially because of it. I purchase most of all that I read.
Getting away from the practice made returning harder and harder to come back to it. But the relief of romantic escape and enjoyment of a good story with well-penned characters that I find between the pages of a book and an author’s creative mind needs to be acknowledged…so I have decided to trim the art a bit and become a little less formal about my reviewing…these are my desperate measures. I just “gotta” offer praise or comment…even it only echoes back or spins out aimlessly into the ether.
Now onto the important stuff:
Tyrant is the continuation of Brantley King and Doe aka Pup or Ramie’s story which began in King. It is perfectly titled! A “tyrant” can be described as charismatic, charming, but also calculating and cruel. This personality can have a certain insouciance to convention, rules and even morality. Sounds like the beginning of the description a beloved character in a contemporary romance. Those alpha-male a$$holes we love to hate…and fall head over heels in love with because the feisty heroine is going to wrestle and breach his walled-off heart.
Well as to who is the tyrant and who is not as clear cut as you would assume as you begin to read. This story is cleverly done and I loved it. I found the protagonist, King, to be an amazingly sexy dirty talker. That his words came from Doe’s perspective as hearing them added tremendously to the impact of not only his words but his beyond sexy maneuvers. OK so T. M. Frazier is seriously badass when it comes to writing erotica…unique…super-hot and inventively dirty. This guy is a dirty pleasure that warms your heart.
I appreciated how Doe grew into her character and her memory of the past. She is an appropriate tough girl with an enticing degree of innocence. Clever of the writer to have had King tattoo across her back a paraphrased version of the F. Scott Fitzgerald quote from This Side of Paradise : “I don’t want to repeat my innocence. I want the pleasure of losing it again.” along with his name somewhat obscured. It is a familiar longing…anyone past their 20’s can relate. And in relation to the dynamic between Doe and King…who she was before and after knowing him truly as an innocent… the sentiment in the quote selected by King for her is a delightfully…what I would call…“thick” ponderance.
I promise you who love the dangerous dirty…off center…alpha male character and meaningful love story with suspense…a bit of the supernatural…some appropriate humor…this duet delivers. So much so…despite the current crazy constraints on my real life, I had to read it to the finish and was compelled to return to reviewing.
(Thank you for indulging me in my temporary autobiographical angst. )
Favorite quotes:
“…I could practically see the flames dancing in King’s burning gaze as it penetrated my fucking soul. It couldn’t have been the way his hard lines of muscle rose and fell with his quick breaths, stretching the fabric of his already tight wife-beater across his chest. Panting. He was panting. We stood like that for what seemed like an eternity, daring the other to make the first move, frozen in the moment. I didn’t feel one thing for him. I felt everything. Anger, confusion, love…lust, and it all swam around us in the water as we stared each other down.”
“You seem to have forgotten who the fuck I am, Pup. So I’m going to remind you.” He pressed his hips against mine. “I’m the man who took you against your will and handcuffed you to my fucking bed. I’m the man who wanted you, so I fucking kept you.” He cocked an eyebrow. “Do you really think you have a choice when it comes to being mine?”
OMG! After the first one and that ending, I needed to read the follow-up right away 🙂 I absolutely loved this one too! Really enjoyed reading it and this story was just so good, yet again. Love King and love ‘Doe’ together. I had yet again tears in my eyes and had another WTF moment! Brilliant reads and so definitely worth it. I will read more of this author and cannot wait to read the next one! If you haven’t read the story of King, you are missing out. Thank you to those recommending it to me 🙂 never regretted it!
I was lucky to get the ARC of Tyrant, and by God! Was I lucky .
it’s a brilliantly written book , a perfect sequel to King. Both King and Doe rediscover themselves in this book, and we readers discover another side to Bear . We alo discover a whole lot of twists and turns and whoa! This story boggles your mind.
I wash Eli scene was elaborated more , but other than that, it’s a perfect love story between imperfectly mismatched people . I can’t wait into dive into Bear’s book in Dec. Or Jakes book.
Ho is the real Tyrant, Bear, Jake, Daddy, King , ….orrrrrrrrrr.
discover for yourself and be STUNNED!
A must must read
*-*-*-*-*COULD CONTAIN minor SPOILERS*-*-*-*-*
After I finished reading King I couldnt wait to get my hands on Tyrant, and oh boy T.M. Frazier didn’t disappoint. We continued where we left off in King, Doe’s dad came to take her home and King was arrested.
It was really hard for Doe to come home to a family she couldn’t remember. Her parents were cold and not very supportive of their daughter, who had been missing for so long. Also there was a surprise, her son Sammy. I can’t imagine how Doe was feeling, being separated from King the man she loved and dropped in this new unfamiliar environment. I don’t want to say too much because it will spoil it so I will just be a bit more general with this review.
The moments we got where King and Doe were reunited were SMOKING HOT. I want King to own/claim me, do whatever he wants. I love these DARK characters finding their soulmates. Sammy was a super cute little guy that accepted the presence of his mom right away.
T.M. Frazier had some crazy plot twists in this book, I was so surpised and didn’t see any of it coming. All the questions I had were answered in this book. Doe had a couple of flashbacks where she remembered certain events in her life including how she lost her memory. The Tyrant, I hate that guy so much. The ending was perfect but I wish it was longer. I was sad when I finished the book, I wanted more! I am so hoping there will be a novella in the future featuring King and Doe!
Now we wait for Lawless, Bear’s story to be released (in December). I am super excited for his book, and cant wait for him to find his HEA!! (I am volunteering for the role 😛 )
Wow I love the book
“I never expected to fall in love with King. My captor, my tormentor, my lover, my friend, my world. ”
Our boys are back along with our girl. This one starts off right where King ended. Frazier takes us on an emotional roller coaster through this book. I had to have tissues next to me and I wish I had a glass of wine. Remember in King how I said my ice heart shattered. Well those pieces are now shattered into more little pieces.
“I’ll always be here. You can’t make me leave if you got the priest from the exorcist to come remove me. Cause I’m one step above demon… I’m Preppy.”
Preppy still won my heart. The ending with him made me laugh and cry at the same time. Bear, I cried for Bear. I didn’t want anything bad to happen to him but Frazier tends to take our favorite characters going through f*cked up shit and throw more f*cked up on them.
Throughout the book, Doe’s memories are coming back to her. She is piecing the puzzle together on what happened to her. Again Frazier has a way of adding more f*ucked up on top of already f*cked up. But I don’t want it any other way. I was on the edge of my seat. I seriously need a big bottle of wine just for this. I think I will buy one before I read Lawless.
To tell you I knew how this was going to end and that the book is utterly predictable, would be a giant lie. I mean GIANT!! Doe had my stomach in knots. From her memories to her relationship with King. Like with the first book, I had to put this down and ugly cry. I mostly hid it from Wy but I think he could have guessed I was crying. This time when I put it down to cry I was only at 45%. Little did I know that I was going to do a lot of ugly crying. I couldn’t put this down and wait till morning to finish it. Towards the end I had to put my hand of my mouth to keep from screaming “Preppy”.
“You and me… we’re a forever kind of thing.”
Now moving on to Bear’s story. Will my heart be able to take it??
Oh Tyrant!!! You were one of my top 2 most anticipated sequels of the year!! I wasn’t really sure how you were going to be better than your predecessor, King. But TM Frazier pulled her magic and worked her voodoo….and I love you even more than I could’ve imagined! The twists and turns in Tyrant will almost give you whiplash!! Any one know a good chiropractor?!
If you have read King, there is no need for me to tell you to read this. You should be already doing it.
Best series of the year, my fave read of the year, my fave new author discovery of the year. Epic!!!!
The end.
Whoa what a great follow up. Yikes did some crazy stuff go down, I gasped twice! Awesome story, loved how it ended. Everyone needs to read it! Can not wait for Bear’s book.
Hold on while I pick my jaw up off the floor…
King is in the middle of another war. With Eli coming after everyone he loves, King has to leave Doe to at the mercy of her dismissive, Senator father and alcoholic mother. As her memory starts to slowly return, Doe has to piece together the girl Ray was while clinging to the woman she has become. As if memory loss, motherhood, detached parents, and a clingy ex weren’t enough, Doe is also left behind to mourn what could be the end of King.
Please! Please! Please! I need MORE! The crazy twists and turns that TM Frazier can insert into just the last couple of chapters is astounding. This book was very Doe centered. I wanted more King, but with the brief separation of the two and all the new information being delivered, it made sense to focus on her. Every single character has so many layers. Never judge a TM Frazier character from the first 3/4 of a book! Their true colors will emerge later and your mind will be blown. It’s inevitable.
When little pieces of information start to make sense, it makes you wonder how you didn’t see any of it coming. The story comes full circle and ends beautifully! I can’t wait to read on to Bear’s story!
5 Stars, “Because, Pancakes!”
Tyrant is the last part of the amazing story of King and Doe..
in Tyrant, we get too finally see what happened with Doe and King. after a few bad decisions on Kings part.. Doe has to go to live with her family.. she is not so happy about this decision that was made without her consent.. nothing could prepare her to what she was going to see and live in that place.. many lies will come up to the surface.. many lost memories will come back to hunt her.. but there is only one person in this world who can comfort her and make her feel safe.. if only he knew what she was going through.. if he only knew he sent her to the wolfs…
“I never expected to fall in love with King. My captor, my tormentor, my lover, my friend, my world. But I did.”
He was more than she ever dreamed of, he was her savior and protector someone who will kill and murder anyone who did wrong to her..
“There was only one person whose very presence could quiet my overwhelmingly loud fear of the dark. King”
King, is fighting his own demons, he wants to save his daughter but everything seems like that will be impossible.. he is doing everything he can to be able to get her.. even if that means to sacrifice the most precious thing he ever got.. someone wants to see him gone and this could means bigger problems in his plans..
“In this world, there is very little I believe in, Pup. But I believe we belong together.”
“You don’t believe in God?”
“No, Pup. The only thing I have faith in, is you.”

Loved the second book of this series. Major twist in the storyline was GREAT. Loved the ending.
Book 2 in the series, I hated for it to end!
Absolute page turner! I could not put this book down. It’s not the usual romance book.. it has quite a few dark twists and turns. Amazing story with a dark twist!
Returning home Doe realises that everything wasn’t like it seemed and she missed King. When King comes to visit her, he tells her she needs to stay with her father as he can’t protect her at the moment.
Believing what she was told by Bear’s father, Doe sees no other way to but to marry Tanner, but she gives her father a condition, she wants custody of King’s daughter Max.
Attending an event after the marriage, Doe is amazed when she sees someone that looks exactly like Preppy and that her father used her to try to get votes for his election.
When Doe finally remembers her past, what she remembers terrifies her and she tires to leave but fails. Pup/Doe never give up on each other and go through an incredible journey to get their happy ending.
