They were born for swordplay, but fighting their feelings is a losing battle. Tyra Vigosdottir, the shield maiden that any warrior with half a brain would fear, does not need to be coddled by any man–especially not the one who broke her heart. The only thing more irritating than an overprotective Norseman is how her mind won’t stop picturing them together. When they must travel together once … together once more to defend their tribe, Tyra and Bjorn find it’s impossible to deny their feelings any longer. Danger awaits but so does passion.
Can Tyra trust the man who broke her heart? Can she set aside her grudge over a misunderstanding?
Bjorn Jansson has been in love with Tyra since he was seven. He never imagined she shared his feelings, but one grave misunderstanding born of jealousy and rejection ruins their chance for the next ten years. Both orphans, Bjorn and Tyra find the depth of their grief has molded them into the people they are now, and those two people have more in common than they realize. Missed opportunities abound until Bjorn and Tyra can no longer ignore what everyone around them has known for years.
Can Bjorn repair the damage done to their relationship? Or will he nurse a broken heart?
This Viking couple will sail away with your heart. You will love Tyra & Bjorn, because it is a steamy tale of a big-hearted Viking with a huge sword and a warrior woman with a huge attitude. Get it now and escape to the land of Norse lore and battlefield love!
Viking Glory is a steamy historical series that will transport you back to the world of the ancient Norse with brave heroes and even stronger heroines. The series follows the lives and loves of five friends. Brother and sister, Leif and Freya, along with their cousin, Bjorn, and their friends Strian and Tyra sail the seas and conquer hearts. This is a four book series where each book can be read as a standalone but is best read as part of the series.

Tyra and Bjorn seemed to straight from Freya which is book two in the viking glory series by Celeste Barclay is just a breath taking and hard to put down. It is full of action, grief, and guilt. The chemistry between the two kept me on the edge of my seat from start to finish. Start with Leif for the full story.

There are so many factors that make this story exciting. The war they are waging with a family member brings them all over Scotland. The characters now feel like they are old friends I’m catching up with. There is adventure around every corner and you never know what’s happening next.
Liked the previous books and this one does not disappoint. Main characters are likeable and the “bad” characters are bad. I don’t mind stories where the H/h struggle with their feelings for each other but I like them to be together and work out their problems. This is one those stories I will be rereading. I hope there will be other stories about other characters in this book.

The third book in the Viking Glory series and with each new book this series just gets better. Tyra Vigosdottir is a shield maiden and Norseman Bjorn Jansson’s story takes you from when they where younger until their Adult years. I enjoyed reading this book about everything that happened between these two. I hope there is going to be more in this series. Tyra and Bjorn’s story was amazing! I couldn’t put this book down! Bjorn and Tyra had to overcome so much mistrust, misunderstanding and hurt that they caused each other that it took them ten years to finally admit they love each other. If you love action, fighting and romance you won’t want to miss reading Bjorn and Tyra’s story. I received an advanced free copy for an honest review.

Since beginning this series, and as much as I enjoyed Leif and Freya, this is the story I’ve been waiting for. The author did not disappoint! I was concerned Tyra may be too resistant to Bjorn, punish him unnecessarily or disproportionately, or even that Bjorn had done something unforgivable to evoke Tyra’s pushing him away. That wasn’t the case. She was able to reflect on her motives and behavior, as was Bjorn, and their relationship developed in a very satisfying way for me. I also found satisfaction in the progression of the conflict with the series’ villain. This is my favorite of Celeste Barclay’s thus far!
I received an ARC of this book and it is my pleasure to leave an honest review.
Bjorn and Tyra have grown up together and have loved each for years but a misunderstanding has torn them apart. Now they face the enemy and finally have a chance to get back what they’ve lost.
This is a stand-alone book in the series but if you’ve been following the series you know some of the overall backstory. (If you haven’t read the other books they are definitely worth a read.). Tyra and Bjorn have both been hurt and they continue to long for each other but they’ll both have to take a chance to clear up misunderstanding. The chemistry between the characters was palpable. Bjorn is a warrior but so is Tyra. It will take a war for them to find each other again. (I voluntarily reviewed an ARC).
Wow, remind me never to mess with a shield maiden from that family! lol I was so looking forward to reading Tyra and Bjorn’s story and the author did not disappoint!! What an amazing read, I really could not put the book down, it was so full of action.
Tyra and Bjorn have known each other since they were children and just when they finally get together, it all ends due to a misunderstanding. Now, 10 years later, they are forever snapping at each other but that soon changes when the misunderstandings are cleared up. There are quite a few steamy parts that had me fanning myself….ok, I was just jealous! lol As a warrior and a shield maiden, they are part of the group that is in search of the evil Grimr who is trying to destroy their tribe. There are many battle scenes that are bloody and violent but that was the way back then.
I thoroughly enjoyed every page in this book and it was also fun to “revisit” the other characters from the previous books in this series! Well written, full of action, battles, sea voyages, and best of all….sensual love and romance!!

Anyone who has been reading this series has probably been hanging out waiting for Tyra and Bjorn’s story it has been so obvious that they loved one another but neither was willing to back down and make the first move Now we get their story. While this book can be read as a stand alone I would recommend that you read Leif(Book 1) and Freya (Book 2) to get the full story you won’t be disappointed as it is probably one of the best viking sagas I have read
Bjorn and Tyra have much in common both proud viking warriors both orphans and both to proud for their own good They belong together and ten years ago they actually had a night together but misunderstanding drove them apart. Now they are forced into close proximity as they head to Scotland on a raid as danger threatens the will have to stand together to survive. Can these two proud warriors let down their walls and admit what they really mean to one another Can they learn not to flare at the slightest provocation from one another and will they survive the danger that is circling them This is another brilliant book in this series Yes it is long but somehow the pages just fly and isn’t that a sign of a great book
This book grabbed me and didn’t let go. I caught myself holding my breath at times, afraid of what would happen. It kept me reading well into the night.
I love the characters and was emotionally invested in their successes. Although I was quite frustrated with Tyra at the outset, I understood her pain and the reasons for her attitude. I found myself rooting for her, and them, all the way.
The book is well written, with great depth in describing the fighting as well as the sex. The sex scenes were sometimes crude, but appropriate for the culture.
I recommend this book to anyone who likes action, steamy passion, and the reality of the Viking era. I felt like I was there, which is the biggest compliment I can give
I have been rooting for Tyra and Bjorn since the beginning of this series. I’ve anxiously awaited hoping that these two would end up together and I’m ecstatic to say I was not disappointed!! Even though they were at such odds with each other in the first two books, I just felt there had to be an underlying reason that stemmed from an intense desire for one another. There are plenty of HOT steamy moments and some intense action in this one to go along with the heartfelt romance and I just loved it all! This has been my favorite book of the series so far and that is saying a lot for as much as I enjoyed the first two books! As always where Celeste Barclay leads, I will follow because every book is so original and is delivering everything I want in a historical romance.

Both orphans, Tyra and Bjorn have always been close, forming a tight trio with their fellow orphan, Strian. Things are great between them until a horrible misunderstanding drives them apart. Both Tyra and Bjorn suffer in their own ways over the next ten years, with each thinking the worst of the other. Each time they try to find their way back to each other, one of them says the wrong thing and they take even more steps back than forward.
Everyone can see that Tyra and Bjorn are meant to be together, but by the time they work things out for themselves, an enemy threatens any peaceful future they might’ve hoped for.
Both Tyra and Bjorn had past hurts and insecurities and it was nice to see them work those out together and face their misconceptions of each other and grow. The pacing here was really well done; often when the hero and heroine start out at each other’s throats the animosity goes on too long for me and just becomes annoying, but that was not the case here. This story was gritty, violent, steamy, and emotional, very different from most of what I’ve been reading lately and rather refreshing for it. I really enjoyed it and can’t wait for the next book.

Wonderful Viking romance,
Bjorn Jansson & Tyra Vigodottir have grown up together along with Leif, Freya & Strian but whilst both Bjorn & Tyra have thought of the other three of their group as siblings they’ve always been in love with each other. Ten years ago they acted upon their feelings only for misunderstandings to drive them apart now whilst they respect each other as warriors they won’t admit to their love. They leave for Scotland with a large force of Norseman to try & capture Grimr where they have to contend with crossing the North Sea & then finding their enemy.
This series just keeps on getting better, this is the third book in the series & it could be read on its own but there are threads running throughout the series. Another well written story which is fast paced with strong characters. Some of the battle scenes aren’t for the faint hearted but I found them to be well described & very believable. I also found the descriptions of the Scottish countryside to be very well written. I loved Bjorn & Tyra & their friends to enemies to lovers storyline highly entertaining, of course it was obvious in Freya’s book how Bjorn felt when Tyra was seriously injured but the banter between them one of the highlights of the book. This is quite a long book but the pages flew by & as it built to the climax I just couldn’t put it down & am now impatiently awaiting Strian’s story
My honest review is for a special copy I voluntarily read
It was a great story the the main characters have a past and came together after a decade of hurts. I have read any of the other books in this series nor from this author, I can say I’ll look forward to more down the road. The only thing I didn’t care for was the other ladies and Bjorn, coupling that would creat more hurt to Tyra. Even through her past has a couple of men it’s Bjorn and all is ‘fun times’ thats mentioned a lot. But over it’s a great story.
Book three in the Viking Glory series. Can be read and enjoyed as stand-alone. I did not read the first two books and I had no trouble following the storyline, and I enjoyed the secondary characters so much I would like to go back and read their books. Full length told in dual POV with an awesome epilogue! Tyra and Bjorn grew up together but have let misunderstandings and lack of communication keep them apart for the last ten years. There was plenty of Viking battle action with a storyline that is woven throughout the series. I didn’t like the OW or OM drama at the beginning of the story. I did like that once they talked and were honest about their feelings from that point on, they were 100% dedicated to each other. I would recommend this book and this series if you like Viking or historical romance!
The first rule of book reviews is NO SPOILERS, so I will point out that this is an ADULT book, took me the better part of two days to read, and was well worth the time.
