When Ivy Adams is summoned back to LA by her secret husband, it’s for the purpose of revenge, not a second chance. Estranged as long as they’ve been married, Ivy’s never told anyone she even has a husband, let alone he’s the Scots born movie star, Dylan Duffy.Yeah, that Dylan Duffy. The sexy-as-sin bad-boy. The man whose rumbling accent has half the world’s panties damp. But Ivy isn’t the only …
But Ivy isn’t the only one keeping secrets, and screwing half of Hollywood hasn’t sated Dylan’s need for revenge. He’s hellbent on making Ivy pay for her mistakes in the most despicable way he can.
Two wrongs don’t make the pair even, but can they ever make their marriage right?

First off, this was my first book by this author and it definitely won’t be my last. I absolutely plan on catching up with the first book even though this can be read as a standalone.
This was a great story and the best example on why you should be honest with your partner and talk about your worries and troubled thoughts in a relationship. You gotta work out your problems together instead of swallowing your fear and hoping for it to go away on its own.
I loved the writing although I have to say that for someone like me, where I struggle with any kind of language if it’s not my mother tongue, it was a bit tricky with the Scottish words and some conversations, especially from the three girls, got me quite confused.
The parts I did understand though were really funny.
The Story:
It sounds like every girls dream being married to a Hollywood movie star but as far as Ivy’s concerned she’d rather not see him again. Though when she’s more or less involuntarily on her way back to LA to end this marriage once and for all, she didn’t count on Dylan and his plan of revenge.
Both didn’t anticipate that this would go out of hand and now rather than speak the truth, they try to push their feelings aside which are still as strong as ever but as stubborn as they are, neither takes a step forward but backward to keep from getting hurt yet again.
Will they eventually find a way to cast all troubles aside and face each other again to sort out this marriage or will it ultimately end with their divorce?
Thoughts:
It took me some bit to get into the story at first and to be honest I wasn’t quite happy with the screwing around part of Dylan although I partly understood his reasons later on better.
Since this was mentioned in the blurb I’d anticipated it but it’s still something I don’t usually like about the H. Anyway I came to love Dylan at the end after all and I got over the troubles pretty quickly when things got hot and heavy.
I loved the emotional aspects of the story a lot. The hurt, frustration, regret, worry of doing the wrong things, fear of the truth and rejection. I could really releate to the characters and their feelings and that made the story so much more real because it’s quite common in real life that people stand in their own way to be happy.
Now I have to hurry up and read the first book because I am already looking forward to the third book in this series especially because I am really intrigued by Kit’s character.
Right from the very first line of the book, I was sucked in and laughing my ass off!! Donna knows to how to open a scene and she doesn’t let you down with her follow through.
Ivy and Dylan’s story, and their supporting cast are so colourful, richly developed and loveable, you can’t help but feel every one of their emotions right along with them, and this book is loaded with feels!
What I think I loved most about this book, as with her others is that she does not rush her characters into their relationship and HEA, and this is particularly strongly portrayed here in Ivy and Dylan’s story, is that they make you suffer through their heartache, you feel the frustration and regret quite viscerally to the point where I was sometimes so anguished, I needed to take a break! But the unhurried mending of this relationship, and the intense chemistry between them made their second chance reconciliation feel so worthy!!
I won’t take long before I re-read this book and I make no hesitation in recommending it to everyone I can!
2 people with a huge misunderstanding and both to hard headed to break. This story will make you all tingly.
This book checks all the boxes of my reality-TV-loving heart. Big angsty emotions? Check. Questionable choices inspired by alcohol and lust? Check. Family drama? Check. Quirky best friends? Absolutely. And thank heavens for those best friends trying to talk both Ivy and Dylan in off their respective ledges. Their connection was so instant and powerful that it scared them both. Instead of letting each other in behind their walls, each took steps to protect their hearts. There were so many times I wanted to take the pair and shake some sense into them shouting “just speak your truth!” I realize that they had to go through all of that painful emotional growth to get to the point where they could accept their happily-ever-after, but it broke my heart watching them hurt so badly. I loved the group of characters so much I’m going to have to go back and read the first in the series and I’m so looking forward to the next one.
I received a complimentary copy of this book.
Two Wrongs by Donna Alam a simply amazing five-star read. This is the second book in the Trouble by numbers series. I started reading this book when it hit my kindle last night promising just a couple of chapters, couple of hours later, and I have read 60% I now have to go to work but wanted to get the review up asap. As you need this book in your life!! We met Ivy Adams in the first book, one hot scot, and we knew she was hiding something and now it’s all revealed. Ivy has a secret husband that’s why she came running home, and her husband is none other than panty dropper Dylan Duffy!! What will Natasha say when she hears this!!
Two wrongs may not make a right, or a whole, but can they make a marriage work? Donna Alam writes funny and sexy in such a great manner, I loved this book so hard!!
