To Paige Miller Two Last First Dates sounds like a disaster waiting to happen.Paige is having a rough time. She’s unhappy in her career, and her One Last First Date ended in total disaster. Now, she has to figure out what to do professionally and personally. Life as a spinster with fifteen … personally. Life as a spinster with fifteen cats doesn’t sound too bad, though.
Deciding to give up on love, Paige begrudgingly befriends Josh Bentley, the friendly coffee delivery guy, while helping out at the Cozy Cottage Café. His T-shirts make her eyes roll, but their runs have become an important part of her day and a blessing to her waistline, because Bailey’s cakes are too good to pass up.
Meanwhile, her best friends offer to find Mr. Right for her, and all Paige has to do is let them. Then, the man of her dreams walks through the door. Marcus Hahn is as good-looking as he is charming, and any thoughts Paige had of being alone with those fifteen cats fly out the window. Now, she just has to hope her friends choose him as her Last First Date.
But in the end, are Two Last First Dates enough to find The One?

Titles in the Cozy Cottage Café series:
Book 2: Two Last First Dates
Book 3: Three Last First Dates
Book 4: Four Last First Dates
After the first book, I wondered what we would be involved in now. Of course, there are more romances to be made. Lots of fun and twisty little romance happening, this time from the point of view of Paige. This is another very good story with new and different events and lots of great friendships.

Boy, did Marcus get on my nerves. I couldn’t figure out how Paige didn’t see through him, but the heart wants what it wants. That leap of faith in the beginning was beautiful and I’m glad it all worked out in the end. Josh seemed like a great fit from the start, but sometimes we take the long and hard road to figure things out.

I loved the first book in this series and I love this one! These characters are so vibrant and fun. The story takes you on a journey that endears you to the characters as well as the place they are. I want to go to the Cozy Cottage and meet everyone!

Just as good as the first book. Ms. O’Keeffe delivers again inner romantic comedy series. Five stars

Just minutes after recommitting themselves to the pledge of one last first date after the first of their group was successful, Paige decides that she’s giving up on romance. Her heart is still broken since Cassie and Will got together, even though she is happy for her friend. She no longer trusts her judgment about men. Two of her friends decide that she can’t give up, and they will find the perfect man for her. She tells them she’s not interested, but they can’t help but suggest a man for her, Josh who works at Bailey’s Cozy Cottage Cafe. She comes around to the concept of dating again, but she chooses another man for her one last first date, Marcus. Paige is also having a little trouble at work. Her boss is very demanding and not understanding.
Will Marcus be her last first date? Should she have gone out on that date with the man her friends suggested instead? Will she stay in a job she hates?
Just like in the first book of the series, these characters and their stories are a delight to read. You can’t help but feel for Paige, as she’s coming down from her disappointment about Will. You further feel for her when you see how abominably her boss treats her. She is a good daughter who takes care of her father and helps him try to manage his diabetes. Her brightest moments are spent at the cafe. The book is told with great humor. I like Josh’s wacky t-shirts. I appreciated, too, the author’s willingness to write a cozy, friendly chick lit romance without crudeness or profanity. How refreshing! Reading it is like a warm hug from an old, dear friend.
If you enjoy contemporary Romance with just a touch of humor and a very sympathetic heroine, you might enjoy this book.
Two times as sweet
This time it is Paige’s turn to find true love. The idea of marrying the next person you date is nice and all, but so far it really isn’t working out for any of the gals. Paige gets a bit turned about and just as confused as her friend before her, but in the end, it all works out. Yep, more familiar tropes, but still just as much fun!

This is the second book in the Cozy Cottage Cafe. This one is about Paige. Pagie is having a hard time with her carreer and love life. This was a wonderful read just like the first book. It was well written and a great storyline. I look forward to read the next books in the series.

This is the second book in the Cozy Cottage Café series. This story is about Paige, who was “in love” with a guy who happened to love her best friend instead. This realization has Paige pushing love away because she always chooses the wrong men. Her friends decide they will select her Last First Date to help Paige find her perfect match. I enjoyed this book and could relate to the desire to find happiness in a career and in a relationship. I think so often we are blinded by our perceptions, that we miss what is obvious and clear in our paths. Paige’s story shows us that there is hope for us to see clearly, even if it means having a few hiccups along the way.
I enjoyed the characters. There was definitely more to Paige and the things she dealt with, but I liked seeing glimpses of Bailey too. Cassie and Will make a few appearances, but Marissa is still a mystery. I like some of the new characters too, but I want to keep this review spoiler free.
I think the writing is easy to read, and rom-com all the way. The pacing compliments the story; it did not seem rushed. A cute and thoughtful story.
There were a few “minor” cuss words in this otherwise relatively clean read. There were some minor errors that I’m sure will be cleaned up with final edits. I recommend this book for those looking for a quick feel good weekend read with a HEA that will leave a smile on your face..
I received a free copy of this book from BookSprout in exchange for an honest review. 3.5 stars
One Last First Date – This is my first read by this author. I found the other three books to this series on Booksprout and discovered this one in my library. I did not know what to expect but I was pleasantly surprised. Well written in a conversational style. Enjoyable characters that came across as realistic and with some brains. Interesting storylines that moved along quickly and plenty of humor. I did not get bored as I usually do with many of this genre. I’ll be reading the three other books to this series. 4*
Two Last First Dates – This book picks up ten minutes after One ends. This book is just as enjoyable and delightful as the first book. Still written in a conversational style with multiple storylines that merge and separate through the friends and their lives with the focus on Paige. The characters still have brains and are still realistic, including their thoughts and dialogs. The humor steady throughout. Mistakes are still made but not the stupidity formula that is common in this genre. The fast pace and interesting lives makes this book quickly read. I found this book on Booksprout. 4*
Three Last First Dates – I chain read Three after finishing Two. This book picks up a few weeks after Two ends. It is so hard to write a review on this series without wanting to do spoilers; not a book report so it won’t happen. The focus is on Marissa and she’s probably the silliest of the bunch with her ideas, but she was fat as a kid and has that old mindset. The friends are still interesting and supportive, and the three dates were so different from each other. I thought she treated her first date badly, but some people look at jobs instead of the person. Anyway, the book was full of humor and interesting storylines and characters. I did not get bored with series since the storytelling never repeated or went stupid, but keep me immersed with the writing style and talent of Ms. O’Keeffe. I found this book on Booksprout. 4*
Letting Your Friends Choose Your Mate
This is the second book in a series about a dating pact. This is a very clean romance with just a mildly bad word here and there. I like this episode a little better than the first of the series. This book could easily be turned into a very cute movie. There are many things going on at once and more than one romance, too. I received this ARC free from Booksprout and this is my honest review.
What an interesting concept, to make a pact to marry the next man you date. Of course, it led to hilarious results and was totally a bad idea. Or was it?? The main characters Paige, Bailey, Cassie and Marissa were fun and made the story come alive. You will enjoy this book, it is funny and sad and being human is shown in a very nice light.
Recommend this book to all cozy mystery lovers.
everything in her life was not working and she decides she needs to give up dating. She makes friends with him and then another one walks in. could he be the one? or was her friend the one? See how she gets on
