Exiled from the LAPD, Harry Bosch must clear his name, uncover a ring of prescription drug abuse, and outwit a clever killer before it’s too late.
Harry Bosch, exiled from the LAPD, is working cold cases for the San Fernando Police Department when all hands are called out to a local drugstore, where two pharmacists have been murdered in a robbery. Bosch and the tiny town’s three-person … and the tiny town’s three-person detective squad sift through the clues, which lead into the dangerous, big-business world of prescription drug abuse. To get to the people at the top, Bosch must risk everything and go undercover in the shadowy world of organized pill mills.
Meanwhile, an old case from Bosch’s days with the LAPD comes back to haunt him when a long-imprisoned killer claims Harry framed him and seems to have new evidence to prove it. Bosch left the LAPD on bad terms, so his former colleagues are not keen on protecting his reputation. But if this conviction is overturned, every case Bosch ever worked will be called into question. As usual, he must fend for himself as he tries to clear his name and keep a clever killer in prison.
The two cases wind around each other like strands of barbed wire. Along the way, Bosch discovers that there are two kinds of truth: the kind that sets you free and the kind that leaves you buried in darkness.
Tense, fast-paced, and fueled by this legendary detective’s unrelenting sense of mission, Two Kinds of Truth is proof positive that “Connelly writes cops better than anyone else in the business” (New York Post).

Always love a Michael Connelly book!
Too good to put down
Michael Connelly is always worth reading!
Always anxious to catch up with Harry. He never disappoints.
Great Harry Bosch! If you need it this will give you your Bosch fix. I loved it!
Still the best crime series going, probably ever. Michael Connelly and Bosch never fail to deliver an exciting, interesting, entertaining, compelling story. So right there, this is a 5 Star book and read. The book has only been out a few months, and is close to 2,000 Amazon reviews, mostly 5 Stars, so why bother? Because I just finished this one – actually listening to it be read by Titus Welliver who plays Bosch on Amazon and now reads the books – very well – and feel once again the desire to thank Connelly for so many hours of reading enjoyment. (Like millions of others, i have read all 20 Bosch novels and most of his other books, several of them twice.) For the record, if I was telling someone to start the series, I would recommend the early books first, just to grow (age, mellow, mature) with Bosch (though there is still a lot of anger and fire in that senior citizen. And a lot of compassion for his fellow humans.
Solid addition to a great series.
This is one of my fave authors…. I have currently read all of his books. I can’t put them down once I start reading them.
Michael Connelly is simply the best of his genre today. And Harry Bosch is just about my favorite character. I’ve read ‘em all and wait at the bookstore door for the next.
Connelly is simply the best mystery/character writer out there. I’ve read all of his books except some of the short stories.
