Exiled from the LAPD, Harry Bosch must clear his name, uncover a ring of prescription drug abuse, and outwit a clever killer before it’s too late.
Harry Bosch, exiled from the LAPD, is working cold cases for the San Fernando Police Department when all hands are called out to a local drugstore, where two pharmacists have been murdered in a robbery. Bosch and the tiny town’s three-person … and the tiny town’s three-person detective squad sift through the clues, which lead into the dangerous, big-business world of prescription drug abuse. To get to the people at the top, Bosch must risk everything and go undercover in the shadowy world of organized pill mills.
Meanwhile, an old case from Bosch’s days with the LAPD comes back to haunt him when a long-imprisoned killer claims Harry framed him and seems to have new evidence to prove it. Bosch left the LAPD on bad terms, so his former colleagues are not keen on protecting his reputation. But if this conviction is overturned, every case Bosch ever worked will be called into question. As usual, he must fend for himself as he tries to clear his name and keep a clever killer in prison.
The two cases wind around each other like strands of barbed wire. Along the way, Bosch discovers that there are two kinds of truth: the kind that sets you free and the kind that leaves you buried in darkness.
Tense, fast-paced, and fueled by this legendary detective’s unrelenting sense of mission, Two Kinds of Truth is proof positive that “Connelly writes cops better than anyone else in the business” (New York Post).

As Great As Ever!
Great Michael Connelly read.
Typical Michael Connelly book, GREAT! Love his Bosch books.
I always like Harry Bosch novels. He makes sure that the innocent are avenged. His motto of “Everybody counts or nobody counts” rings true in this novels as all the Bosch novels. I can’t wait for the next one.
Possibly the best Bosch yet.
A good detective story.
Connelly is at it again. I love his books, I think I’ve read them all. Some of them more than once but not on purpose. They start so well, draw you in, get you involved… sometimes about a third of the way in I realize, I’ve read this before. But not this book. Some how this author is able to wring out new material each time. Enjoy
Another hit for Connelly
The Harry Bosch novels from the very beginning have been great. From the Concrete Blonde, Trunk Music, Echo Park etc. all of them have been wonderful. Hieronymus Bosch is a character that I wanted to follow when I was first introduced to him playing piano in smokey clubs late at night. Thank you Michael Connelly.
Have read all of Connelly’s books and this one is right up there among the best. Great read!
Bosch is a good character . The book is shorter than I prefer. Engaging storyline
Love everything that Michael writes – can’t wait for each new read
I have read every book in the Harry Bosch series. They just keep getting better. The characters are believable and the plot twists never fail to hold your interest.
Connelly tells a riveting tale – again!
unlike his other recent book,,,the late show,,,this one follows our old friend , harry,,,but i felt that connelly’s heart wasn’t in it. he followed the formula,,,but it lacked heart,,,but he is still one of my favorite authors,,so i will read them all,,,but he does seem to be going down hill
It’s always good to share a ride with Harry Bosch
Couldn’t put it down. Like the way Bosch is always working multiple cases at the same time.
Michael Connelly and Bosch never let me down
Always readable, always Bosch! Connelly is a masterful writer.
Excellent. I like Harry Bosch even more as he ages—as I am too
