Exiled from the LAPD, Harry Bosch must clear his name, uncover a ring of prescription drug abuse, and outwit a clever killer before it’s too late.
Harry Bosch, exiled from the LAPD, is working cold cases for the San Fernando Police Department when all hands are called out to a local drugstore, where two pharmacists have been murdered in a robbery. Bosch and the tiny town’s three-person … and the tiny town’s three-person detective squad sift through the clues, which lead into the dangerous, big-business world of prescription drug abuse. To get to the people at the top, Bosch must risk everything and go undercover in the shadowy world of organized pill mills.
Meanwhile, an old case from Bosch’s days with the LAPD comes back to haunt him when a long-imprisoned killer claims Harry framed him and seems to have new evidence to prove it. Bosch left the LAPD on bad terms, so his former colleagues are not keen on protecting his reputation. But if this conviction is overturned, every case Bosch ever worked will be called into question. As usual, he must fend for himself as he tries to clear his name and keep a clever killer in prison.
The two cases wind around each other like strands of barbed wire. Along the way, Bosch discovers that there are two kinds of truth: the kind that sets you free and the kind that leaves you buried in darkness.
Tense, fast-paced, and fueled by this legendary detective’s unrelenting sense of mission, Two Kinds of Truth is proof positive that “Connelly writes cops better than anyone else in the business” (New York Post).

Ya gotta love Harry Bosch! A great character working for an unappreciative bureaucracy, Harry works within the rules until It’s time to break the rules. Excellent series.
I enjoy the character Harry Bosch, he is intense but never looses his integrety.
I loved it and would highly recommed it
Loved it.
Good but short
Always anxious to read a new Harry Bosch. Doesn’t disappoint. Wonderful as ever.
*5 Stars*
In typical Connelly style, I was hooked on this book from the very beginning. I love Harry Bosch as a character, and no matter how many books keep coming out in this series, I know that I won’t be let down. The series doesn’t grow old like some do that get to this number of novels. Connelly’s writing is always fresh and keeps you on your toes, the story is never predictable.
In this one we have a few things running side by side, by there is never any confusion about which case/matter is being talked about at each time. Harry works with his usual fervour and bull at gate demeanour to solve each one.
There’s a personal edge to this story, and a lot of old favourites are back, most importantly for me, Maddie, Mickey Haller and Cisco.
Bosch may be getting older, but he still has the same fierceness and strength about him, and following him in the cases in this book, is no different to any other. He always wants answers, and he always gets them.
We have a bit of an opening for a storyline to be continued in the next novel and I look forward to seeing where that one goes. Connelly writes in such a way that you become invested in Harry and the other characters, and there was even a bit of emotion in this one that I really felt.
I can’t wait for more Bosch. I truly do love this series, and no-one quite writes crime fiction like Connelly.
I will always recommend him.
Harry Bosch at his best.
I enjoy the Harry Bosch series and this was another good story by Michael Connelly. Current topic regarding opioid crisis with believable situations.
Loved the main storyline
I love the Harry Bosch series and enjoy Michael Connelly books
Not the best of the Bosch books but entertaining.
I have read all the Bosch novels and enjoy the character and plots. The TV series on Amazon is also very well done.
True Harry story with the added insight into his career as he gets older. Still has the fire but starting to show signs things he has missed out on. So looking forward to his next case.
Love Harry Bosch!
Another craftfull good read from Michael Connelly. Working two plots to a satisfying conclusion.
There’s no one like Harry Bosch. This is a guy with heart who has been seriously mistreated by the establishment just for his ability or determination to look outside the box. Another great read in a long-running series.
Always enjoy Harry and having interaction with his brother in this story was an extra pleasure. The problem with these books is that I accomplish nothing else until the book is finished! This one was no different.
Gotta love that Bosch
As usual Michael Connley lives up to his other books never read a bad read from him can’t wait until his next book
