TWO HEARTS UNDER FIRE (Two Hearts Wounded Warrior Romance Book 8) by Tamara
Ferguson is another wonderful military romance, in this addicting series. Anything regarding
Crystal Rock from Tamara is a must and is fraught with danger and mystery, action and suspense,
drama and lots of emotions. Tamara’s stories have me addicted and I can never just put them
down, I always have to read them in one sitting. There are so many connecting characters that are
shared throughout the books and it is always good to catch up on old and new friends. With that in
mind there is more than a connection to the characters it is also the history behind the scenes that
is woven together that make it all that much more intriguing and enthralling and very well written.
Claire is hiding from an abusive ex husband that just won’t leave her alone. When she comes face
to face with a man who saves her, her world is spun upside down but she is enjoying the
adventure.
Russ is being framed but it goes all the way to the top. When he decides to seek help he
encounters a woman where they are both in danger. Just who is the enemy and who is the targets?
This is actually one of my favourites in this series and I couldn’t have asked for a better story and
characters and the plot was spot on. Even with everything going on the relationship between the
two MC’s was fun and exciting. As usual I am looking forward to seeing what she has in store for
us next
Ferguson continues to be a must read author for me and this book continues this opinion. I have loved every installment in this series and this latest work extends this beloved universe so completely and so well. I simply adore these characters, the setting, the detail. I feel a real connection to the people and events and find myself nodding and smiling and cheering and gasping with every page. I am thankful for have been introduced to Ferguson’s work and will gladly continue to encourage others to pick up her works as well. This book – all the feels. Simply adored it!
Whenever I go to pick up a Tamara Ferguson novel, especially from her Two Hearts Wounded series, I know I am in for quite a treat. Two Hearts Under Fire was no exception to the rule. This book is actually the eighth of the series, but it can be read as a standalone. I will say that it is nice to have that full build up of the story by starting from the beginning. Each one is absolutely worth every moment of the read too, so its hard to imagine not reading them.
In Two Hearts Under Fire brings us the story of Russ and Claire. Russ faced a mountain of trouble a few years ago with his team and the only one who managed to escape unscathed was him. Now he finds himself facing more danger and trouble when he is being framed for something that never happened. When Russ seeks his friend Brand and his wife for help he ends up meeting Claire, and his whole world changes. He feels so much for her but he also needs to focus on keeping himself safe and alive. Things get even more dynamic when an assassin attempts to kill them. Is this connected too or does Claire have a few secrets of her own that are coming back to haunt her? Will these two make it out of the chaos alive, and with a relationship that can test the times?
I couldn’t put this one down, and frankly I feel like this quickly became my favorite of the series so far. I loved these two and felt a connection to them that had me cheering for them beginning to end. I loved that I was also kept at a suspenseful pace throughout as well. The book is multidimensional and captivating. I struggled to see it end as much as I wanted to know how it would all turn out. I can’t wait to see what will come next from the ever talented Tamara Ferguson!
This is a fast pass romantic light military book. It moves very quickly and is east to read as well as the story is smooth with characters that are well liked.
TWO HEARTS UNDER FIRE is the 8th book in the “Two Hearts Wounded Warrior Series” and can absolutely be read as a stand-alone. There are characters and story threads that weave in and out of the entire series, but it is always done in such a way that I never feel like I’ve forgotten someone or an event.
Character development is complete and the story always has a lot of action and suspense and, of course, romance. The author does not put a lot of filler in the stories, so it is always straight to the point and the action. I really appreciate that. It feels like a more authentic read.
Because of the nature of this series, it can go on and on for years to come. I will continue reading the series for as long as it is written.
****
I have read a few books from this author but she continues to blow me away. This is the eighth book in the two hearts wounded warrior series. I have read this series from the beginning but this story could be read as a stand alone. I absolutely love military romance but this talented author always exceeds my expectations. When I got this book I stopped everything and started to read it right away. It only took me a little over a day to devour this amazing story.
A couple of years ago Russ’s team got into a lot of trouble. He nearly escaped but some of his team didn’t. Now Russ is being framed for something that did not happen all those years ago. He needs to find out who is making his life really hard. Russ goes to his long time friend Brand and his wife for help but he meets the gorgeous Claire instead. He feels something for this woman he just met but he needs to stay focused. Then all of a sudden an assassin tries to take their lives. The only thingis who was the real target. Russ quickly finds out that Claire also has some secrets of her own. Will Russ be able to find out who is making them hide or will they find him first?
I absolutely loved this book. The storyline has it all romance, suspense, and some mystery. You will fall in love with these characters right from the beginning. Russ is still trying to heal from his past. He needs to know who is framing him so he can get his life back. Claire is a beautiful woman that knows what she wants. She has been through a lot in her past as well. These two characters have some steamy scenes that will make your temperature rise. This talented author will keep you at the edge of your seat until the end. I can’t wait to see what she will write for us next.
Two Hearts Under Fire by Tamara Ferguson a four-star read that will warm your heart. This is number eight in the Two Hearts Wounded Warrior series, but they are each stand-alone telling a great story that will suck you in and make you care. It will also have your heart racing and not for the good reasons you want. Russ and Claire will warm your heart but they both have pasts that would have broken lesser people, but somehow, they have a strength that will give you power to face anything just by reading about their story.
captivating and suspenseful I really enjoyed this story.
TWO HEARTS UNDER FIRE (Two Hearts Wounded Warrior Romance Book 8) By Tamara Ferguson. While some might see this as a short read it definitely is filled to the top with everything you could want in a great story. From page one I was hooked to both the characters and storyline. This isn’t my first read by this author and I’ve never been disappointed. I love the mix of suspense and romance this author just knows how to add equal parts. Each character brings something different to the story, they are complex and relatable. I’m excited to see where the author takes readers next and am giving this story a five star review and highly recommend it.
Two Hearts Under Fire
By Tamara Ferguson
5 stars
I honestly cannot get enough of this series and this author! I have loved every single book that I have read by her and I loved Two Hearts Under Fire just as much as the others. I loved the suspense that ran through this story as well as the romance that I always love! Russ and Claire’s story was one that I completely fell in love with. There is one thing (well one of the many things I love about Ms Ferguson) with this author she creates the most relatable and realistic characters ever. I have not read one of her books yet where I haven’t fell in love with the main (and secondary) characters – I may have my favourites but I always fall for them all straight away!
In this book I have to say I loved the uncertainty of which character it was that was actually being targeted! I was kept guessing along with the characters the whole way through!
As always I look forward to more from Ms Ferguson again in the future and I 100% recommend this story and the rest of the series also!
this book was amazing! he is the only one left alive after a mission. only something is not right about it. she is on the run from something. now they are both on the run for there lives. you must read to find out why.
5 Stars
Two Hearts Under Fire is the eighth book in the Two Hearts Wounded Warrior Romance Series by Tamara Ferguson. This story is a wonderful military/wounded warrior romance, with danger, emotion, mystery, suspense, action, adventure, love, a little drama, and hope. As always, Ms. Ferguson drew me in from the very beginning of the story and held my attention the whole way through. I have read most of her books now, and have loved every single one. I especially love how her stories all help to build a much bigger picture- with many interconnected details, characters, or situations- as each one adds another layer, or unravels a little bit more of the much bigger picture that’s being woven in the background. The stories are always intriguing, and each book only reinforces the fact that Ms. Ferguson is a consummate storyteller- and one I won’t tire of any time soon….A.K.A ever!
Ms. Ferguson crafts wonderful characters- giving them strengths, but also not shying away from giving them some vulnerability too. Claire and Russ’ are great characters who have a very interesting story to tell- and this is where I confess that I really wasn’t sure what to think of Russ after meeting him back in Book #6. I worried that I wouldn’t connect with him when I realised that this was ‘his’ book. But I needn’t have worried because he won me over and I became completely invested in the story.
This story is intriguing, well written, realistic, believable, emotive and entirely engaging. I am looking forward to seeing what she has in store for us next!
Thank you, Ms. Ferguson!

5 +++++ Stars
Writing reviews for this author has become seriously impossible because I’m running out of things to say that I haven’t already said in all my previous reviews of her books, but I’m going to give this a shot.
I truly did love this story and its been awhile since I’ve been immersed in this series so I’m only going on how I feel right this second and what I feel right this second is I think this might be my favorite of all of them. This one took me on a journey aside from the storyline..a journey first off that I could picture while looking out the windows of the RV and secondly this story again brought my own hometown of Hayward to life for me, a place I grew up, went to school and met my husband so for that alone I give many many thanks to this author..I’ve said before that reading anything by this author is like coming home and this one hit that thought completely out of the ballpark!! Who knew my little town of 1700ish people could someday be in some of my favorite books!
So anyway…about the storyline of this book LOL I loved it and the little twists at the end made it perfection for me. I know when I open a book by this author to be ready to finish it, it never fails. You could read this as a standalone but I promise you, you absolutely want all of these books, I can not wait to read them all again back to back.
If you have not read the other books in this series stop right now and go get them and read them. Your heart will thank you!
Each book that Ferguson writes is a little sweet, a little sexy, a little dangerous and a whole lot of love.
Claire is hiding from trouble in the form of her ex-husband. Russ is trying to prove his innocence and avoiding the government spy hired to get rid of him. Together they create their own happiness.
Personally, I love these stories. Ferguson’s stories are easy to read for me, although for others with their own personal war stories, there may be triggers. Two Hearts Under Fire is a quick action packed story filled with all things Ferguson!
Can not wait to see who is next for Dragonfly Pointe!
Two Hearts Under Fire ( Two Hearts Wounded Warrior Romance Book 8) by Tamara Ferguson.
I had read every single book in this series and they just keep getting better and better. This author continues to amaze me with every book of hers!!!! The way all of the characters just mesh so well together just simply amazes me. This book is filled with romance and suspense and will keep you wanting more.. this is definitely a MUST READ and I highly recommend not only this book but the entire series as well!!
Two Hearts Under Fire by Tamara Ferguson is the eighth book in the Two Hearts Wounded Warrior Romance series and I think I have read all eight of them. I enjoyed book and the entire series so far. All of the books are connected so we get to check in with some of the couples from previous books from time to time.
Russ and Claire have quite an adventure after a chance meeting. They get to know one another, end up sharing their secrets and end up finding a friend along the way.
This is a sweet love story with a happy ending. Already looking forward to the next book in this series. Wonder who will find love next and their connection to everyone.
Loved Tamara Ferguson’s book in this group. I have all the Two Heart Series and would love this one in a book of it’s own. These two souls were meant to be and the trials they had to go thru to be reunited. It was amazing to me. Absolutely loved it.
Four stars from me. I’m not always a fan of military based romances, but this one got me. Russ and Claire both have secrets, but when their lives are on the line and they are running together, secrets were shared. Though they only met recently, they knew that they were in love and were out only to help each other and their friends. Nice story that read well and wasn’t full of tons of military jargon that you wouldn’t know unless you served or grew up with someone that did.
I loved Two Hearts Under Fire, by Tamara Ferguson. I have read most of the books in the Two Hearts Wounded Warrior Romance series, and have liked every one I’ve read. This, like the others, can be read as a stand alone book. The main 2 characters are unique to this story, but some of the supporting characters overlap the other stories. This is the story of Russ Quinlan and Claire Ellis. I love the characters and the connections made. There are some secrets revealed at the end, which I loved!
Russ is an airman, and is being framed and on trial, being blamed for conspiring and setting up a capture on one of his prior missions. One day after his trial, he goes to the house of his friend Brand. Brand isn’t home, but he meets Claire there, and before they even have time to exchange pleasantries, they are being shot at. They go on the run together, avoiding the gunman, not even sure which of them was the target. Their escape turns into a grand adventure, where sparks fly as they try to find safety. But, is the chemistry between them real, or the result of the adrenaline rush of being on the run? Read and find out!
