Tamara Ferguson’s Two Hearts Under Fire explodes with action, suspense, twists and turns, and an unlikely alliance that blossoms into romance. Her beautifully crafted writing grabbed me on page one and never let go. After reading only a few of her Two Hearts series, Ferguson is quickly becoming a go-to author, who I know will provide a quick read to sweep me away into a happily ever after.
Richly-drawn characters I love to love, woven into exceptionally-handled, real life drama ripped from the pages of current events, charges her plots with believable storylines. And backdrops using well-researched military themes bring the challenges facing our United States veterans front and center, which I absolutely love.
In Two Hearts Under Fire, Russ Quinlan and Claire Ellis, each running from eminent danger of their own, join forces in a fast-paced thriller. Dodging danger at every turn, they manage to fall in love — the kind of love everyone desires.
I highly recommend Ferguson’s Two Hearts Under Fire—or any book in this series—to anyone who loves a good romance in a fast-paced story you won’t want to put down.
This is timely and oh-so-good! Once I started it I could not put it down.
I’m a sucker for a good happy ever after story and this one is right up at the top. What I found refreshing is that although it is a happy ever after, there is still plenty of action. It’s rare to find an author who can combine both, and this one has it all.
Once you read it, if you’re a first time reader as I was, you’ll definitely want to read her other books. Well written and definitely worth your time and money.
This starts with action and just keeps going. I love that because it keeps me focused on the budding romance as well as worrying about the safety of our main characters. Russ is in a difficult position. But he doesn’t let that deter him from doing what he thinks is right. He has had a difficult life but has overcome so much. Claire we learn about bit by bit as the story moves forward. She is running and hiding but once her life collides with Russ’ she seems to finally feel safe.
This isn’t my first story by this author. It is one of my favorites. The wonder the characters portray over different situations was lovely. She seems to write real feelings I to her character. I enjoyed all the characters even Rusty. As Stated above the story moves along as a good clip. It’s full of action and suspense.
You can’t go wrong with a romantic suspense by Tamara Ferguson, and Two Hearts Under Fire proves it. This is the latest entry in a great series. Get it now!

They can’t be distracted by it now. What does the future hold for Russ and Claire? Read this book to find out. There are times in this story that I was turning pages wondering what was going to happen next. The story has both suspense and a deepening romance. I love Claire’s character as she is strong and intelligent. Russ is a man that is haunted by his past in Iraq. I grew to care about Claire and Russ with each chapter that I read. I wanted them to find happiness. I also enjoyed reading about the additional characters that are introduced in the story. Many of them are helpful to Russ and Claire. Then there are those with their own agenda and plans. Don’t miss out on a thrilling read that you won’t want to put down. I highly recommend reading it.

Two Hearts Under Fire by Tamara Ferguson is book eight of the Two Hearts Wounded Warrior Romance Series. This book can be read as a standalone.
Russ Quinlan and Claire Ellis have not had easy pasts. Those pasts inadvertently brought Russ and Claire together. Unfortunately, an attack, aimed at either one of them means they need to go somewhere else. Will they be able to keep each other safe and survive their feelings toward each other?
This book deals with some heavy topics but the story is very well written with some added humor to break up the tension. This isn’t the first book I’ve read in this series and unsurprisingly, I really enjoyed this book.
Two Hearts Under Fire is the eight book in Tamara Ferguson’s Two Hearts Wounded Warrior Romance series. I have read every single one of Tamara’s books and every time she releases a new one, I am there! I love her Crystal Rock universe and I love how we get updates on the characters we met in previous stories. I admire the love, compassion and understanding she has for the wounded vets, the consideration she shows when telling the stories that are at times so close to what so many have experienced …
Two Hearts Under Fire give us Russ and Claire and they are taking us on a roundabout journey that will end up connecting way more dots than what we originally thought! It is amazing how the writer throws together action, twists and turns and romance that seems so natural! I promise you that once you have read Russ and Claire’s story you want to go back and read the others as you get curious about them when meeting them here!

Two Hearts Under Fire
Two Hearts Wounded Warrior

By Tamara Ferguson
Underfire, Suspense and Romance are the topics in this must read series.
Can Russ and Claire run faster than those chasing after them. One has escaped an abusive marriage, the other from being framed. Both feel they are the one being hunted. Will they both be able to put the past behind them? What about the romance that could be in the cards for this couple?
Tamara Ferguson is the author of this Intense, suspenseful, and fast page turning story. I feel this series is a must read. Each and every book in this series get better and better. I fell in love with her characters and the strength they displayed during their journey. I highly recommend this series. Two Hearts Wounded Warrior is a must read! It will not disappoint! I sure hope more will follow.
The action pack story of Russ and Claire as they run for their lives traveling together and falling in love. The background informtion of Russ’ military action and Claire’s abuse is weaved into the story seamlessly. Loved how the Wounded Warrior home and the disabled childrens home are made a part of the story. The twist at the end ties up some loose ends and brings family together. Looking forward to checking out more books in this series.
A great read about danger. Three years ago, Airman Russell and his team were injured and captured in Iraq. Now, he is under fire with a court charge of treason. Desperate to prove his innoncence he seeks out Brand, a close friend. But on arriving to Brand’s apartment, things get worse as someone tried to kill him and the woman living in Brand’s apartment. On the run, try to stay one step ahead of the people after them. Can they stay alive long enough to prove Russ’s innocence?
A great read. Well developed plot with twists and turns that I just couldn’t put down. Well developed characters like Russ strong and dependable but caring underneath or Claire standing up for herself but vulnerable underneath. Great cast of supporting characters like supportive Mac or sweet Deanna or the determined Brand.
I loved the visual detail throughout the novel like with the campground later on with its pine trees and the lake for a sense of calm and vibrant colours of green and blue wonderfully written. Or the use of small spaces for tension like the hallway or the bridge making it more intense perfectly written. Or the caravan with its homely feel and smells of food so strong its as if you’re actually there.
The switch of points of view worked well to display both sides of the story and was easy to follow with names indicating the switches. I also liked how the novel started straight into the action in Iraq, grabbing the readers attention from the start. Fast paced action and high stakes made for a captivating read. Overall, a great read and I would give it five stars.
TWO HEARTS UNDER FIRE (Two Hearts Wounded Warrior Romance Book 8) by Tamara Ferguson
Stars:5
What a story!! I have loved this series for a while, and this story just furthered that love. Claire and Russ each have their own problems….big ones at that. They work together to survive every obstacle that is thrown their way. Despite facing incredible problems, Russ continues to fight for others, and lire is able to find beauty in simple things. Tamara Ferguson did a wonderful job with this story, and I cannot wait to see what she comes up with next.
This story was great. This author is always a good one to go to and she did awesome with this one.
Russ is one of the main characters and he was deployed over seas in Iraq. While over there, him and his team were targeted and in danger. When he makes it safely home he discovers that he may not be safe after all and still has a target on his back. This is when he meets Claire. Neither of them are sure who has the bigger target on their backs but its going to be a bumpy ride.
I enjoyed this book and i though it was a great addition to the series. I am looking forward to reading more by this author!
Happy Reading!

Tamara Ferguson is the type of author that paints a picture so vivid you feel as though you’re watching a movie as each page unfolds. The characters in each novel are relatable and steal your heart almost instantly. I have never considered myself a reader with a preference for the romance genre, but Two Hearts Under Fire is so much more. If you are looking for a book with a strong storyline, memorable characters, and a vivid escape from your day to day, I recommend this book.

TWO HEARTS UNDER FIRE (Two Hearts Wounded Warrior Romance Book 8)
by Tamara Ferguson
Two Hearts Under Fire was a good 5 star read and book eight in the Two Hearts Wounded Warrior series.
I was pulled in right from the beginning, Russ and his team are attacked during a transport in Iraq. We jump ahead and Russ feels like he has been set up and is now facing charges. When he goes to his friends house to ask for his help, he ends up getting more than he expected.
Claire is hiding from her abusive ex and is staying with her best friend Sarah and her fiance, Brand. This is where Russ ends up meeting Claire. They end up getting attacked by a gunman at Brand’s apartment. They are able to get away and flee out of state headed for Wisconsin where their friends are. Who is the gunman after, Claire or Brand? Can they survive?
As these two spend more time together sparks start to fly. You can feel the connection between them coming off the pages. Tamara does a great job of pulling you right in with her writing. I was on the edge of my seat at every turn waiting to see what was coming next. This is an action packed with great characters. If you’re looking for a great series that can be read as a stand alone than 1-click and get started today. I can’t wait to read more from Tamara and this series.
TWO HEARTS UNDER FIRE (Two Hearts Wounded Warrior Romance Book 8) by Tamara Ferguson was a pretty okay read that kept me flipping the pages.
Not my first read from this author or in this series, so I knew what I was getting into. I am so happy that I finally got to read about Claire, as she has made a few appearances, and I’ve always wonder and worried about her. This book was centred around her and Russ, and though this book started out fast, furious, and dangerous; I liked the chemistry, their growth, and the romance. It kind of reminded me of those old cheesy action 90’s movies. (That I love)
So yeah, I fell hard for this wonder. I’m not going to get into too deep, cause this isn’t an overall long read, coming in at 167, it flew by in what felt like minutes. I will say that the ending felt a little rushed. Like, if needed there was some time when they were on the run, that could have moved faster to save time for the ending, especially if the author was saving on the page count. But overall this book hit all the hot points for me. Loveable characters, natural romantic growth, action, danger, assassins, some good old hand to hand combat, tragic back stories, and of course, sexual tension that you could hardly see through.
This book is a solid 4 for me, and I hope there is more to come. So to end, this book gets my super high recommendation and my stamp of approval.
Happy Reading

Two hearts under Fire is Book 8 in the wounded warrior series. I’m a huge fan of this series and have loved every book to date. Tamara Ferguson always gives the reader a great story with amazing characters. This was no different. Russ and Claire had immediate chemistry from the minute they laid eyes on each other. There was so much action in this book and I was focused from page 1. There was a bit of suspense and definitely a shock I didn’t see coming. It was overall a great read. Cannot wait for more!!!
