Romances usually start off with some sort of immediate connection between the two main characters, be it positive sparks or negative sparring. But what really touched me and drew me into this story was the unusual way Ms. Ferguson’s Neil Harrison and Anna Drumond bonded in time. Both in the military, we first see her in an action-packed beginning as a sniper (how cool is THAT?) and he’s an admiring airman who is blown away by her shooting skills. Both are in relationships so coming together is out of the question. Fast forward to a few years later, when they happen to run into each other as part of a veteran’s group teaching other soldiers with disabilities how to cope. It is there that they find out that each of them has been a casualty of war and left with a handicap. How different this story then becomes. It is no longer the typical male vet who falls for a good woman who makes him feel whole again type of romance. It is about equal, well-earned rehabilitation, from both a male and female’s perspective. Frankly, I loved this unique take on that! It made me want to read more…
Add to the mix some growing tension involving the sheltering of a battered woman against her maniacal ex-husband stalking her, and you have the true makings of a page-turning book. Highly recommended!
I’m so glad to see the author addressing the needs and fears of an often overlooked segment of our population, those who put their lives on the line for us. This was a wonderful read, my first by this author, but not my last. I’m glad it was recommended to me. She writes in a way that the characters come alive as well as help the reader understand the problems these warriors have returning to the United States quite different from when they left. Superb read! You can’t help but root for them!
This author is great! Her books will steal your heart and linger in your thoughts for long after.
Even though this has serious subject matter, don’t be put off by it. It’s truly romantic and proves true love can overcome anything.
TWO HEARTS IN ACCORD is the 7th book in the “Two Hearts Wounded Warrior Romance” series. Each can be read as a stand-alone (which is wonderful) BUT there are a lot of characters that come up from past books and I think it would be a more satisfying read to go back and read a few of the first books before you jump into this one. It’s been a hot minute since I read the last story in this series and it took me a bit to shake out who was who. Once I got it all straight in my head, I would not put this book down until the end.
This author writes about topics (such as trauma from war) in a way that while I am reading about it – it’s just another paragraph. It’s not this big, long, drawn out political statement. (I’m sorry if this doesn’t make sense, what I’m trying to say is while this series is about wounded vets, it’s not “the focus” – it’s just a thing). There is romance and mystery and a bit of suspense. There is music and second chances and a community of people who love and care about each other.
As with the other books in this series, this story is written about a specific couple and yet we see what is going on with everyone else also. Neighbors and friends and colleagues. Everyone plays a role and every character is just as important as the rest.
I enjoy continuing to read about Crystal Rock and Dragonfly Pointe.
Brought together
To work on the project of retraining sounded soldiers. They met in Iraq but he was married and she was engaged. Now years later and both single and in Crystal Lake, they can connect and it’s hot.
Two Hearts Accord was a great 5 star read.
Neil and Anna have both been seriously injured in the military. They meet when they start working on a new program.
At a friends wedding they end up helping protect Claire from her dangerous ex.
They give into their attraction as well and have a no strings relationship. Can they really keep it no strings or will they put the walls down and have more?
Neil and Anna have both been burned in the past, so they’re in accord eventually deciding on a no strings relationship. But will they finally admit that it’s love?
There is so much in this great read. All of the secondary characters were great. I have a connection to the military so this really hits home in a way. I was once again pulled in by this author and look forward to reading more.
TWO HEARTS IN ACCORD (Two Hearts Wounded Warrior Romance Book 7) by Tamara Ferguson was a cute and very light hearted read that made you feel warm. The author did really well at describing scenery and building character relationships. I almost felt inside of the story.
Two Hearts in Accord by Tamara Ferguson
Stars:4
This story was a sweet simple love story. The main characters, Anna and Neil, have a lot in common such as being veterans, injured while in combat, and wanting to work at tbe new project at Crystal Rock Wounded Warrior Home. The attraction is instant between these two, and this story is their second chance. I love how these two characters heal each other’s hearts by being themselves. They are well suited for each other! If I had to have one complaint, it be would that I wish the book was s bit longer.
I hope that you enjoy reading it as much as I did.
Tamara Ferguson’s Two Hearts In Accord is the seventh book in the Two Hearts Wounded Warrior series. In this particular novel, the author brings forth two characters, Neil and Anna. The overall theme within this series is touching, emotionally raw, but brings with it the ideal of hope and something more within life than anticipated. Two Hearts in Accord is one of my favorite in the series and I thoroughly enjoyed the story. I really like how characters from the previous books overlap into future books – it adds additional depth and impact in the novels. The tug and pull is inexplicably present and its remarkably well done in our the authors maneuvers it in the book around the other pieces that are going on in the story. Loved this book and highly recommend it, plus the whole series.
Two Hearts in Accord by Tamara Ferguson is the seventh book in the Two Hearts Wounded Warrior Romance series. I don’t know if I have read all of the books in this series, but it’s pretty close. This book brings two Veterans who served together in the past back into one another’s lives.
Anna and Neil’s story is sweet and doesn’t have the back and forth stuff between them and was drama free which was quite refreshing.
I will keep reading books by Ms. Ferguson and especially in this series as long as she keeps releasing them.
Tamara Ferguson novels promise to leave you will a little bit of a book hangover when you are finished with each tale she weaves. Two Hearts in Accord is not any different. Being the seventh book in the Two Hearts Wounded Warrior Romance series, it is able to be read as a standalone novel. However, we do get glimpses of other characters that we have met in the past few novels, so it would enrich the reading experience to read them all and in order, but it is not necessary.
Usually, for me this series is a great series in general and I want to read them as they become available. I will say I hesitate sometimes if I am not in the exact mood for it though, because sometimes the stories can take me a bit really get to that point where I am engrossed in the story. This is just the writing style of Tamara Ferguson I believe, and I don’t let it keep me from reading the books.
With that said, this is the journey of Neil and Anna. I loved these two. Both of them are facing moments in life that are challenging as they recover from injuries sustained in Iraq. On top of new physical limitations and challenges they have difficult histories with love in their pasts. When both of them start to feel something for the other they must overcome their trust issues and the past hurts to figure out if they can have a future together. Will they be able to find that happily ever after? Will life start to get back to a new normal for them? How will it all come together and bring us back to the beautiful setting of Crystal Rock, Wisconsin? You will have to jump in and find out for yourself as soon as you can!
5 Star
Two Hearts in Accord ( Two Hearts Wounded Warrior Romance Book 7) By Tamara Ferguson is the seventh book in her Two Hearts Wounded Warrior series. I would recommend reading books one through six as well. I loved this series .I have a soft spot in my heart for Military. I was sucked in from the beginning and had a hard time putting it once I started reading it. I was dying to know how everything played out for Neil and Anna. Both of these two were Military and were both injured while on duty. These find each other working on a project for the retraining of wounded warriors, they also realize the attraction they have for each other. Can these two have a relationship and get the HEA they both deserve? I highly recommend this book. Well the whole series really. It will take you on a emotional rollercoaster ride but it was worth the ride so far.i cant wait to read more from this author.
Two Hearts in Accord is the next book (7th) in the Two Hearts Wounded Warrior Romance series by Tamara Ferguson. It can be read as a stand alone, or enjoyed in the series. I love all Ferguson’s books, but there are so many characters, I struggle the first half of the book keeping them straight. That is where the series is beneficial, because each couple has their own story, and they all tie in together and overlap. However, even if you havent read books 1-6, I still recommend the book. It is a feel good, realistic romance, with both characters being strong soldiers.
Neil Harrison and Anna Drummond were on a mission years ago, and struck up a friendship, each with tinglings of something stronger. Then the mission went south, and ended badly, and sending them each their own separate way. Years later, they both sign up to work on a new project, helping wounded warriors return to active duty. Something near and dear to both of them, since they each have a prosthetic. They never expected to see each other again, but it was a pleasant surprise. And instantly they realize the feelings they felt before, are still there, and much stronger. They have so much in common, its almost like fate, and good thing they are both single this time around. Maybe its their “time.”
TWO HEARTS IN ACCORD (Two Hearts Wounded Warrior Romance Book 7) by Tamara Ferguson was a sweet, light hearted read that got you right in the feels.
My first read by this author and this series, I went in with a open mind, more so, because I am a service member myself (Canadian Navy) and I tend to be a bit critical when it comes to military.. anything. I have to say, this book was well researched and captured the ups and downs of what war and going into a hostile zones, can do, not only physically but mentally.
I also like how the author captured how hard it is to keep a marriage, or even a relationship when serving. It isn’t easy, I spend a good chunk of the year gone, and though I am not married, I see it in my fellow shipmates. I also get Anna’s side of things with her a-hole ex, I have seen it, and experienced something similar. Those two interactions, though may seem small to others, made the story real for me, and got me invested more then the opening action and, the serendipitous moment.
I will say the only thing that I was peeved about, was that this story only goes to about 65% of the book. The last 35% is excerpts from the author others books. I don’t mine a seen peek into other books by authors, but not when it takes up a good chunk of the book itself. The space could have been use more to elaborate on a very interesting sub plot that showed a very protected side of Anna. It kind of got tossed to a wayside and left opened. I need closer on that, I do hope it’s touch upon in the next book.
Other then that, the story itself was well written, flow nicely and really got those good feels going. There was no useless drama just for having drama, and everything, besides that one sub plot, got wrapped up nicely. I give this book my super high recommendation and I can’t wait to dive into the other books in this series. Oh and one last thing before I forget, these are all stand-a-lones, but have interconnecting characters, so no worries about reading out of order.
Happy Reading

Two Hearts in Accord by Tamara Ferguson
Five Stars
Two Hearts in Accord is the seventh book in the Two Hearts Wounded Warrior series by Tamara Ferguson. All of the books in this series revolve around Crystal Rock,
Wisconsin and Dragonfly Pointe and characters featured in earlier stories tend to show up and let you know how they are getting along, so although you could read these stories as standalones, you really should read the series in order to get the full effect of these stories. These books also all feature wounded warriors, and the subject matter is introduced in such a great way. I absolutely love this series and this is definitely my new favorite by Ms. Ferguson. This story had me hooked from the first page, and I couldn’t put it down until I read the last.
Lieutenant Neil Harrison and Lieutenant Anna Drummond met while on active duty in Iraq and had an attraction, but both were in relationships with other people at the time. When they meet again years later, both wounded warriors working on a new program in Crystal Rock, they are single, but are they read to commit to a relationship after being Burn by people they loved. This is such a heartfelt book that will bring out all the feels. You may need a tissue a time or two, I know I went through half a box. I highly recommend this book, series and author.
TWO HEARTS IN ACCORD (Two Hearts Wounded Warrior Romance Book 7) By Tamara Ferguson. Instantly I was drawn into this story and it’s unique way of portraying a military romance style story. These two characters are amazing together as they grow to know each other over time, each going through their own hard life paths. I absolutely love that Anna’s character isn’t just your run of the mill heroine, she’s someone to admire. These books can definitely be read as standalone’s without confusion but I do recommend this entire set as each book is just as good as this one. The author bring your feelings right to the surface and draws you into a world you’d like to stay in a little while. It’s a well written and thought out story with amazing characters. I’m giving this story a five star review and highly recommend it.
Two Hearts in Accord by Tamara Ferguson is part of the Two Hearts Wounded Warrior Romance Series.
This is Book 7 in the series. All of the books I’ve read previously in this series, I have really enjoyed.
Anna Drummond was injured while serving for our country and is now about to start training other wounded warriors to try to get them back in service.
Neil Harrison has a familiar story. They know eachother when they worked together in Iraq years ago before they were injured. Now here they both are in Crystal Rock together only now Neil is divorced and Anna is single. Both of them were attracted to eachother previously but since they were in relationships, neither acted on the attraction.
A woman named Claire needs to stay with Anna while Sarah is out of town. Claire’s ex husband says if he can’t have her, no one will and is now following her everywhere trying to kill her. While Claire is staying with Anna, Neil decides he will stay there too for extra protection.
Neil and Anna spend a lot of time together working on the project at the Wounded Warrior Home and looking after Claire. Old feeling are back and they decide to go on a date and try to see what will happen. Both have been single for quite a while and cannot seem to get their acts together which is quite cute.
Will Neil and Anna be able to make it to Dragonfly Pointe for that magic kiss? And will Claire be able to be saved from her ex husband? Read this amazing book to find out what happens
Two Hearts in Accord (Two Hearts Wounded Warrior Romance Book 7) by Tamara Ferguson. I have read every book in this series so far and have loved them all!!! This book was absolutely no different.
We are back in Crystal Rock with Anna and Neil. They knew each other back when they served together and if their relationship statuses at the time had been different who knows what could have been. When they see each other after years apart, they find out that they still have so much in common.
This book and series will make you fall in love with love all over again. You will also gain so much respect for military personnel. I can not wait for more!!!
I get so excited whenever I see one of these books is out. I love how they all are connected stand alones, centered around one location. There’s a bit of magic around Crystal Rock. The people there have such good intentions, there are so many programs to help others. Not to mention the magic of everlasting love and the healing of hearts and wounds.
Anna and Neil have crazy chemistry, but keep getting interrupted! It’s fast paced, but life is short and when it’s meant to be, why wait? There’s suspense along the way, not as much maybe as in previous books, and the cuteness of these two as a musical duo. I really enjoyed it and finished in one sitting.
