“My life is in the Wolf’s hands.”He is the Wolf. I am his Red. The game has begun and he wants me dead. But who is the Wolf? And why has he chosen me?He whistles a tune that’s haunting. He glares at me through eyes that are vacant. I feel his heart beating, yet I know he has no soul. He moves like the wind…I can’t hear his footsteps. I want this to end. He’s playing with my mind. He branded me … playing with my mind. He branded me with ink. He wants to destroy me.
“I, Reid, take thee, Morgan, to be my wife. To have and to hold, for better, for worse, in sickness and in health, till death do us part…”
I have a reason to keep running.
There’s no time to blink.
Don’t look back. Don’t make a sound.
I know he’s behind me.

Such a sad and defeating story until BOOM!!! Let the games begin…
“Fear can only become powerful if I give it my power”.
This is a series, highly recommend reading them, in order.
Up next, Book 3.
This is the 2nd book in The Game of Life Series and you must read the first book before starting this book. Once again Belle has you on the edge waiting to see what happens next. Morgan is fighting for her life and trying to figure out what she could have done to cause the ” Wolf ” to want to kill her. The Wolf captures her again and gives her 1 hour write goodbye letters to her family. He then once again sends her out to begin the chase. He steers her into a cave that is full of pictures of her and her family where she discovers very hurtful images. Meanwhile Reid her husband is at home answering difficult question and trying to comfort his children. He’s also had to notify family about her disappearance. The police overhears Reids conversation with his wife’s best friend and now everyone is looking at him completely different. This book you start to begin to guess who the “Wolf ” might be, but with Belle you just never know with the way she likes to twist and turn every chance she gets ! I’m being vague because I don’t want to give any of this nail biting suspense filled beautifully written story away.

Holy Howdy this Game of life series is getting good. I cannot wait to figure out who the wolf is!
Wow! This book kept me on the edge of my seat from the first page until the last. This book picks right up where the last book left off. The Wolf still has Morgan and she’s playing the game for her life and wants only to be freed. Reid is still searching for his wife and trying to get to the bottom of where she is. An amazing read and the book left off with me needing the next one like now!
Tests, traps, and trysts
There is so much misdirection going on that you really can’t be confident in who the Wolf is. The game continues to escalate and pulls in other players.
As I have said in my One Fear review this is not the sort of book that I would ever read, but I am so glad I have. Two footsteps has your mind racing, gets the blood pumping and really has you guessing and keeps you hanging on.
I really didn’t want this one to end as I really want to know what is going to happen, but that’s what makes this series so awesome. It’s like a television show and we are getting little episodes but makes it so exciting.
I feel for Reid he is just going in circles and more secrets are coming out and it’s not painting him in a good picture, I really feel for him. Morgan also has her secrets that are coming out and it is making for an exciting read.
Again I can’t write too much cause giving the story away is a no go you really need to pick up these novellas and read them and I promise you won’t be disappointed at all.
Belle Brooks Ms. Brooks knows how to keep you in suspense, and she does it with intelligence!!
This is the 2nd book in the Game of Life series, but don’t even think about it ending here… the Wolf has just started provoking Red! So hold on! The ride through this story is intense and there is no getting any type of relief in sight!! You WILL have a book hangover, no it won’t be gone overnight or after a couple aspirin. No worries, Ms. Brooks will pick you up where she left you, and bring you along on the rest of this journey soon, so practice patience and sit there in anticipation, like the rest of us.
So this is the second part of the Game of life series and it is just as nerve-shredding as part one.
Morgan is still stuck in her living nightmare and Reid is still desperately trying to hold things together at his end of things.
All this while also fielding the police officers that are breathing down his neck with there endless questions and suspicions regarding his guilt.
secrets and lies folks, secrets and lies.
Whats hidden beneath the surface is bound to be discovered and as small tidbits are drip fed to the reader we slowly discover what lies abound.
This, In turn, heightening suspicion, all round and begging the question who do you actually trust and how well do you know you’re nearest and dearest.
I’m not going to go into great detail here as this is one of those tales that you just need to experience blind, but its safe to say that the action is ramped up here from the get-go.
And I can guarantee you that your brain is going to go into overdrive trying to decipher this vexing puzzle.
Prepare to again be stumped, terrified and enthralled all while praying to whatever god will help you.
“Two footsteps” is compelling reading and I am still no nearer a solution regarding The Wolf’s identity and I’m also suitably shocked with Megan’s first guess when the wolf finally asks
Who am I?, Really Megan I’m disappointed in you.
So I need book three like NOW!!!!
I don’t know how I’m going to last, till I get my mitts on it, the anticipation is like killing me.
I cant get this bloody story out of my head.
cant recommend this enough people, you all need to pick this up seriously.
I was gifted a copy of “Two Footsteps” by Belle Brooks of which I have reviewed voluntary.
All opinions expressed are entirely my own.

I love the suspense of this thrilling series. Cat and mouse games continue for both Morgan and Reid. I’m looking forward to the next episode.
I wasn’t the biggest fan of the first one. It didn’t give me that draw that I look for but this one had me on the edge of my seat. Knowing what happened in the first book, and now with what’s going on in this one, I have to say the author is great at dragging readers through a range of emotions. I won’t go into details but I’ll be the first to admit that I’m hooked now. If you want so psychological mind freak, then start with book one and dive into this one. This is a series that each boom is going to be better then the last as the plot thickens and the characters make us become more invested. Morgan has officially hooked me. 4 stars #2OCCJD
‘m not going to give anything away, which means I can’t tell you about the book apart from –
OMG this lady can write. I have no idea what
Is going to happen and how it’s going to end .
Looking forward to the continuing story
4.5 stars
Please tell me, we don’t have to wait long for the next book! This is killing me… Was hard to put down and made my heart race with each page I turned. This game, these thoughts, these secrets. I have no fucking clue! Perfect sequel to One Fear, can’t say anything else.
Belle, you worked magic here, congratulations!
This maybe a short read but it packs a punch. The last book left one curious question for me, why Morgan? I felt for her husband the anguish of not knowing where she is or what has happened to her then the horror of explaining it to their children.
Her fears of never seeing her husband and kids again and wondering who is Wolf and why is he doing this to her.
I was sitting at the edge of my seat, turning the pages furiously and reading as quickly as I could to get to the answers.
This series just gets better and better….. but I’m still no closer to discovering the wolf….. Can’t wait for more.
The wolf still has Morgan, although she’s confused even more as they show her pictures of her family and some she hasn’t seen before, they continually play cat and mouse while Morgan tires her best to stay alive.
With Reid under investigation, some secrets come out, all Reid wants is he’s wife back and no one seems to know who has taken her.
Although your given clues throughout the story as to who the wolf may be your still left with no idea.
The story uncovers so many secrets, although not the main one as to the wolf’s identity. The suspense and intrigue keeps you hooked waiting for the next in the series
Second book, in the game of life series…..
The first one, set you up…
Morgan is kidnap, by a man calling himself the wolf..
Reid is taking in for questioning…
This one, gives some more background
…secrets are being revealed….
Suspenseful, who is the wolf?
…More clues..can’t wait until the next one!!!!!
