Helly is a volatile blonde with a passion for fishing, a grudging tolerance for the fishermen she guides, and a part-time job putting her sexual fantasies in writing. She lives a quiet life in the Alaskan bush, alone on her little lake with only a spooky dog and her gun collection for company.
But then Gary, the most obnoxious man Helly’s ever met, roars into her life. The mysterious … mysterious helicopter pilot moves into the cabin across the lake with a vengeance. And fire. And karaoke. He’s a despicably early riser with a penchant for public indecency, a talent for trespassing… and he’s handsome as the devil, with abs she’d like to lick.
Helly quickly realizes her little lake isn’t big enough for the two of them. After an initial attempt at being reasonable, and responsible, and mature, she gives up—and gives as good as she gets. What follows is a feud of eardrum-battering intensity; a no-holds-barred water fight to the tune of a screaming chainsaw, with her panties caught in the crossfire.
Just when Helly thinks things couldn’t possibly get any worse, her crazy brothers crash the party. In an unforgiving land where even the wildlife is out for blood, can the pair survive long enough for Gary to capture Helly’s heart, along with her wrists? Or will Gary’s past be the final blow, after Helly loses her boat, her dignity, and what’s left of her ammo?
For lovers of Alaskan romance, romantic comedy, and contemporary women’s fiction, Two Cabins, One Lake is a sexy, full-length, standalone humorous romance novel with a splash of mystery & suspense, and a satisfying conclusion. Enjoy the ride!

Absolutely the funniest, sexist book I’ve ever read. It was laugh out loud. And the sex scenes were so funny. I highly recommend this book. I hated to see it end.
I loved this book.
Made me laugh. Very cute.
This book was hilarious! Loved the humor in it, kept me reading & laughing. I Would like to read more from Shaye Marlow. Highly recommend.
I absolutely loved this book! I have never laughed so hard – my husband would not allow me to read this in bed because I would wake him up with my laughter.
I love to read Alaskan Romances! So when my good book-buddy messages that she is reading: TWO CABINS, ONE LAKE, and it was “Hilarious!” That she was laughing like crazy! I had to return to Alaska by way of reading this book. I am so glad I did. Not only is this book really funny, but there is constant action and shenanigans. But also there are more serious parts. There is mystery & suspense! I must warn you there is steamy hot sex, too! There is a touch of gross humor, but I will admit I laughed.
Helly is a true Alaskan, born and raised. She lives alone in a quiet cabin on a river. She makes a living by writing romance stories with lots of erotica. Also she is a fishing guide, and there are not many females in that position. Helly is interested in fishing & sex! Her life is regimented. That is until her new very hot, and very sexy handsome neighbor moves in on her lake. His name is Gary and he would make the perfect muse. That is he would if he were not so loud and annoying. Just when Helly thinks it could not get any worse, her crazy brothers show up. Her dog decides the grass is greener in Gary’s yard. She also fights the attraction the two of them have for each other. That is until she realizes maybe there is somebody out there for her. Somebody that got her. Somebody that understood her. Somebody that understood her particular brand of crazy. And maybe that somebody is her loud-mouth neighbor. If you need an escape from reality than here is a book for you.
Wasn’t sure how I was going to like this, but fell in hook, line and sinker!!! One of the best books I’ve read and loved all of the characters.
I love everything about this book!

Was fun to read.
I didn’t hate it. It was an okay story, especially with the wild blueberry patch
angle thrown in. It just didn’t do anything for me.
CONSTANT BAD LANGUAGE USED
first read by this author! loved it! looking for more by this author!
It took a couple of chapters for me to really get into the story, but then it became so entertaining and I couldn’t put it down. Loved it!
Cute story, but I wasn’t expecting so much sex.
Didn’t like the foul language .
Sometimes people that rub you the wrong way can also rub you the right way. If you are the only two on a remote lake.
Ending so ridiculous, poor ending for a fun book.
Gave a different view of Alaska. Enjoyed it!
Not one of my favorites!
Quirky but fun and sexy!
