Set in Hawaii, this book is like a ship entering uncharted waters by exploring assisted suicide. The main characters are well-developed and I enjoyed reading the book.
This author, Toby Neal never disappoints and the story line takes place in Hawaii.
I always enjoy Toby Neal’s stories and look forward to the next one.
I love all of the Orchid books!!!
interesting. certainly held my interest. great intrigue.
I just discovered this author and this is the second book I’ve read in the series and I am really enjoying it. Read black orchids first to find out about the players in the series.
Loved that this was set in Hawaii, and mentioned places I have visited in real life, but better still the story was unique in its field. Really intrigueing story line, with unpredictable twists and turns, and just the right amount of romance. Plus the characters had enough depth to make them believable and real so that I had empathy with them …
We do not want to die alone; we do not want to be a burden to our families; we want to die with dignity. The Kervorkian questions still exist and confronting them is hard work.
I have read the entire series up to and including Wired Ghost. Since they killed off Jake (my favorite) I won’t be reading any more of this series as it comes out.
Love Toby Neal’s strong female characters. Great series.
scary good read!
Another great Toby Neal book with police action and romance. A little different than some of the earlier in the series. Great read!
I’ve read several of Toby Neal’s books set in beautiful Hawaii, and enjoyed each of them. Each book stands alone although you meet the same characters in many of them.
I enjoy the main character and the way it tells about how the real Hawaii is.
Great mystery by a favorite author.
Couple of plot twists and turns added interest to the genuinely nice people characters…and left a few dangling threads to make the next book in the series interesting as well.
I liked it very much only took me 2 days to read
I’ve read a couple of other books in the series and enjoyed this one–good plot. A little disappointed, however, to find that, the Chung family is once again involved. Really? These books don’t always have to Include the same time worn personal vendetta–it’s time to find some new villains and stop rehashing the same old story line.
A very well written book. I enjoyed reading it, although the story line was sad and tragic to me, but nevertheless something we can relate to when we have experienced from loved ones their desperation. An eye opener to the mental and physical struggles of the terminally ill. Maybe we can be more sympathetic towards them.
Have been binging the Lei series. Loved this 5th book and continued evolution of the characters’ lives. Love the Hawaiian settings and reminders of my trip there. Great author!
