This isn’t just another case. This is family. How far will Stephanie Plum go to protect the one person who means the most to her? The stakes have never been higher in this #1 New York Times bestseller from Janet Evanovich.Grandma Mazur has decided to get married again – this time to a local gangster named Jimmy Rosolli. If Stephanie has her doubts about this marriage, she doesn’t have to worry for … marriage, she doesn’t have to worry for long, because the groom drops dead of a heart attack 45 minutes after saying, “I do.”
A sad day for Grandma Mazur turns into something far more dangerous when Jimmy’s former “business partners” are convinced that his new widow is keeping the keys to a financial windfall all to herself. But the one thing these wise guys didn’t count on was the widow’s bounty hunter granddaughter, who’ll do anything to save her.

Gotta love Stephanie Plum.
Her usual hilarious antics! Loved it. Have read all her books. Can’t wait for the next one!
If you’ve read one, you’ve read them all.
Always love Stephanie Plum and her eccentric family. Good reads to lighten your dreary day.
Have read many of these books and was tired of same ole same ole. This one she is growing up and moving on to a new direction. It was fun and refreshing!
Great read for Stephanie Plum fans. I needed something fun and light- Stephanie Plum’s adventures always fit the bill
I have read all of the Stephanie Plum books in order, and this wasn’t bad enough for me to stop doing so, but the characters seem to be stuck doing the same things over and over. Since Stephanie herself says she needs a new life in this book, I’m hoping for some exciting changes in future books.
Boring waste of print
It’s the same old thing just a different day. Time to change it up!!
I’ve read all the Stephanie Plum books and enjoyed them all.
Exceptional read. I love Stephanie Plum!
Love the Stephanie Plumb books.
Great as usual. A fun read.
I liked the characters. Like the female bounty hunter.
Awesome book
Loved the book.
I don’t enjoy these as much as I used to enjoy them. Stephanie and Lula have messed up just about everything to be messed up, so this is same antics, different plot.
Still funny, still cute, still want a Ranger of my very own.
Have all the characters fallen into the Kinsey Millhone state, where they never age?
Stephanie Plum is a bounty hunter and a street smart Jersey girl. Grandma Mazur married a local mobster and now someone has kidnapped her. Stephanie and Lula do their best to find her. That is, until Stephanie is shot and then kidnapped herself. Good thing Ranger keeps Stephanie under constant surveillance. This book is witty, unpredictable and action-packed. Janet Evanovich creates the most entertaining plots. The narrator, Lorelei King, is fabulous! She is the absolute best at creating entertaining voices. You have no trouble differentiating between characters.
I find this series mostly entertaining and fun. Stephanie and Lula make me laugh. I know the stories are formulaic but I don’t care with this series. I liked that we’re back on track, Stephanie is re-assessing her life choices and line of work.
Not quite the same characteristics for some of the characters but not too dramatic of a shift.
Yay! Janet Evanovich wrote a very entertaining story. I had not read her books lately because they’d started to seem like repeats of former releases. I’m so glad that this one broke the mold.
