This isn’t just another case. This is family. How far will Stephanie Plum go to protect the one person who means the most to her? The stakes have never been higher in this #1 New York Times bestseller from Janet Evanovich.Grandma Mazur has decided to get married again – this time to a local gangster named Jimmy Rosolli. If Stephanie has her doubts about this marriage, she doesn’t have to worry for … marriage, she doesn’t have to worry for long, because the groom drops dead of a heart attack 45 minutes after saying, “I do.”
A sad day for Grandma Mazur turns into something far more dangerous when Jimmy’s former “business partners” are convinced that his new widow is keeping the keys to a financial windfall all to herself. But the one thing these wise guys didn’t count on was the widow’s bounty hunter granddaughter, who’ll do anything to save her.

Awesome book
I’ve since read several more novels in the Stephany Plum series because they’re a nice break from the violent noire thrillers I write and usually read—Baldacci, Child, Thor, Brad Taylor, Daniel Silva, Ben Coes, Alex Berenson, et al. Also, Janet, as am I, is a resident of Naples, Florida. You have to support your homies. Stephany Plum is a terrific protagonist—far from perfect, certainly no superwoman, even klutzy at times. She’s witty, determined, and surrounded by as colorful a cast of recurring characters as you’ll find in modern fiction. Summer is almost here and this could be your best beach read of the season.
I love the Stephanie Plum books!
Her usual hysterical situations and bizarre characters. Fun !
I love Stephanie Plum and even 26 books in, Janet doesn’t fail to deliver side splitting laughter and page turning action.
TWISTED TWENTY-SIX by Janet Evanovich is the twenty-sixth book in the Stephanie Plum mystery series. Grandma Mazur married a local gangster, Jimmy Rosolli. Unfortunately, 45 minutes later, he dies of a heart attack. Jimmy was the “keeper of the keys” and his fellow gangsters believe he passed them to Grandma Mazur as he was dying.
This series is one of my fun comfort reads. I always enjoy spending time with Stephanie, her parents, Grandma Mazur, Morelli, Ranger, Lula, Connie, Rex and Bob. There are always a few laugh out loud moments and this one delivered those as well. In this novel, Stephanie spends some time questioning her choice of careers as a bounty hunter working for Cousin Vinnie’s bail bonds office at the same time as she continues to work and try to protect Grandma Mazur.
The prose was entertaining and compulsively readable. The plot was suspenseful, fast-paced, and held my attention. The ending was slightly unexpected and set up things for the next book in the series. Overall, this was a funny, enjoyable and entertaining read.
I love this whole series but this is one of the best!
Her books are always funny. Great characters!
How can you not like a Stephanie Plum story. Easy read, same “characters”, non-sensical story line, waiting for 27.
Thoroughly enjoyed Twisted Twenty-Six. It had everything I’ve come to expect from Ms. Evanovich’s Stephanie Plum series and more.
It provided the usual wonderful laughs, fun surprises, great family time, handsome men time, as well as a cast of fun quirky characters. I was completely entertained, and that’s my favorite part of reading…to remain in a book’s world as I turn the pages. It’s the same goal I have when I write.
I look forward to the twenty seventh Stephanie Plum novel. Fun, fun, fun!
Well done, Ms. Evanovich.
A fun romp with grandma! Delightful characters and twisting plot.
I’ve read all 26 Stephanie Plum books plus many of her other books and find them all entertaining and I wait for the next release, ready to enjoy.
Plum Wonderful!
Stephanie Plum is a great character and I always look forward to reading about her latest escapades.
Grandma Mazur’s marriage lasted 45 minutes. Jimmy is dead and the rest of the local gangsters think Grandma has “the keys”. Unfortunately Stephanie has no idea what the keys look like and Grandma swears she doesn’t have them.
It was nice having Grandma as the center of attention in this book. She’s actually pretty insightful. Her attitude throughout the whole book is very carefree and nothing seems to bother her. I wish I had her positive and “I don’t care what others think” attitude.
The older generation in the Burg is quite the group. They are all feisty and quite funny at times. They are also pretty ruthless. I enjoyed this aspect of the book. It felt like the reader was finally getting to know someone other than Stephanie.
Stephanie questions her profession a lot in this book, but she also steps up more than she has in the past. She uses her head and gets the job done. She seemed to have less fear in this book and I liked that. Lula continues to entertain and shock. I hope that never changes.
Really enjoyed this one. I’ve been feeling a lot like Stephanie did in this one, like it’s getting old and is time for a change. But the level of involvement this case had with her life, it brought me back around. And I was really happy with the relationships she had with the guys in this one. I absolutely love Ranger, but Morelli is who I think she should be with. I just wish she would hurry up and realize this too.
Stephanie Plum is always a fun read. Laugh out loud moments in every book. Steamy, hot, romance type moments. It’s also a no brainer, easy read, that’s entertaining as crap!
I have read the Stephanie Plum series from beginning to the last one published. All the in between one and some of the offshoots as well. For me it is entertaining, funny, a little bit of thriller and some steamy stuff too. What else could you want?! This series is a break from the troubled world we live in. Thanks Janet!
I thoroughly enjoyed this book, as I have all the books in this series. Hopefully, there will be many more to follow.
Fun read
