“I wanted nothing less than every last part of her. Her innocence, her heart, her soul, her body. Her purity and her darkness. I would take everything.”
Twisted Pride is definitely my favorite in The Camorra Chronicles. I have been anxiously waiting for Remo’s story to come out, and I have to say that I wasn’t disappointed. First of all, I love that the story took place over a longer period of time. It really felt like a complete story and it had great character growth. Serafina and Remo are enemies, however sometimes things that are bad for you end up being just the right thing for you. Fina is strong and knows how to care of herself. She definitely surprised Remo with her actions. Under her resistance there is a small part of her that wants to surrender but her loyalty to her family doesn’t allow this. This book had a couple of very heartbreaking scenes that had me in tears. The characters had to make such hard decisions, but they did it for the good of their family. I absolutely loved their maturity and personalities.
“Every day you want me a little more. I can see it in your eyes, can see the struggle in them. You aren’t allowed to have me like I’m not allowed to have you..”
I think this book will be loved by the majority of Mafia Romance fans, because it wasn’t just sex and romance. This book was about family, and the things you have to do to protect them. I definitely was on an emotional roller coaster, and I was on the edge of my seat a couple of times. This book was suspenseful, hot, emotional, and fun. Remo and his brothers are great characters, and I loved that they were present a huge part of the book. Every one of them went through some sort of growth and it makes me even more excited for the upcoming books. I have no idea who I should root for at this moment, but I am hoping there is a chance for peace. Because every family has characters I love and adore. Cora Reilly is definitely one of my favorite mafia romance authors, and I can’t wait to see what she comes up with next.
“The only force on this earth that can stop me is you. You’re the only one I’d allow to do so.

What’s this book about? (I’m trying to give as little spoilers as possible)
Serafina gets kidnapped on her wedding day. She loses her freedom but not her pride. She’s determined to bring the cruellest man she’s ever met to his knees.
My expectations for this were high because I read Fragile Longing first. Serafina and Remo seemed incredibly mysterious and juicy. So forbidden! Against the rules. Their story delivered on the forbidden nature. While I believed and rooted for Serafina and Sofia’s relationship as siblings, I didn’t quite buy into Serafina and her twin. Cora tried really hard to get me into the notion that they are inseparable, but something felt off. Nonetheless, the family in Las Vegas was put together smoothly. I will read the rest of the Camorra books, but I’ll take it slow. I’m very curious about them, and I want to know more about Kiara. The banter amongst the characters was incredible and entertaining. The chemistry was good, and I definitely liked Remo and his spiciness. I’m used to Cora’s typical stereotypical Martin Scorsese mafia dude, but Remo had something different to him. He pointed out some things that were important to point out in a universe that accepts misogyny so easily.
There’s a plot point that appears in Fragile Longing, and I was very excited to see how it is handled in Las Vegas – I don’t want to spoil what exactly, but it’s about something Serafina hid from Remo. I recommend this to all the Cora Reilly fans. It’s a steamy romance, and you can definitely root for the couple to rise above their unfortunate circumstances. Remo is a special hero in this universe (this might change once I read the other ‘heroes’).
One of the best book by Cora Reilly.
Twisted Pride is a unique book with touches of emotion and madness. This book is # 3 The Camorra Chronicle being an excitingly addictive one leaving you wanting more. Twisted Pride abounds with the theme of strong, sexy and terrifying men with surprising endings full of romance and overwhelming emotions.
The story is a mountain of crazy emotions especially with Remo Falcone as the main character proving to be a sexy, unpredictable, dangerous, cunning and cruel leader of the Camorra. Serafina, a beautiful strong woman, intelligent and just as unpredictable as him. Who would not stop fighting to be free. The union of these two characters is an explosive and perfect combination from start to finish.
A 100% recommended book from start to finish.
Remo is a force to be reckoned with. His protective and impulsive streak encourages his crazy methods and violence but it’s understandable due to what he and his brothers have gone through. This is the book that helped me decide that the Camorra have completely won over my heart.
Remo is cold and ruthless, his brutality earns him the respect of his soldiers and raises fear within his enemies and Serafina, the protected Outfit princess who Remo kidnaps in retaliation to the outfits attack on Remo and his brothers. Serafina is a strong-willed, poised, arrogant woman who begins a cat and mouse battle of wits against Remo, but unbeknownst to either, they become obsessed with each other in the best possible way.
For both of them, family is everything, but they have a connection to one another that neither is willing to admit due to their own pride; their chemistry is palpable and undeniable, they try to fight this to no avail. Whilst attempting to outwit each other, they are unable to stop themselves from developing feelings for each other.
The banter between the brothers is incredibly and ridiculously funny. Going in to this book, I was unsure of whether I would grow to like Remo more than I did in Twisted Emotions but, he completely won me over and stole my heart. His and Fina’s story is like a rollercoaster of emotions and will make you fall hopelessly in love with them and their family. One of the best stories Reilly has wrote till date, this is one that you will re-read over and over again but still won’t get over.
Twisted Pride is a dark Mafia Romance. There’s story may contain some triggers.
Serafina is abducted on her wedding day by none other than the notorious Camorra Capo, Remo.
Remo has the perfect plan of revenge against the Chicago Outfit and their Capo. What better way than to hit them where it hurts, their families.
I loved the push and pull from these two dominant characters. Both determined to win at all cost. An incredible story.
I was not disappointed almost at all. It is definitely the first book that twisted my whole brain, heart and emotions in such a significant way. In a good way. The title is completely adequate. The pride theme is very important in this book. Firstly, it is about pride that keep two people from falling into each other. Then, it is completely different pride, but I will not spoil anything.
I love the way how Cora managed to highlight the metaphor of chess game that was with us during the whole story. The way she collated Fina with the queen and Remo with the king. The amazing thing in that metaphor is how accurate it is.
It is the first book ever that made me so emotional. It literally twisted my emotions. There were moments when I laughed so loud that I woke up my family followed by those when I cried even louder. I was insanely happy and then horribly sad. I was cringed. Amused. Disgusted. Joyful. Embarrassed. Hopeful. Horrified. Satisfied. Angry. Surprised. Shocked. But overall I was just in love.
Of course every book has its disadvantages. I personally really regret that in this book there are only a few mentions of Leona. I fell in love with her hardly, and I hated that she and Fabiano wasn’t really treated like family for a while, but with the scene in the pool, a flicker of hope have lightened in my heart. And I really didn’t like Serafina. I was really disappointed in her.
It is a mix of previous books – mix of an honor, duty, hatred, temptation, vengeance, loyalties and emotions – but what’s more, it is a lot better than those previous ones in terms of plot. However, because of not really likeable heroine… it deserves four honest stars.
SO MUCH LOVE FOR SERAFINA AND REMO!!!
This was a completely different style than any of the other novels Cora has ever written and it has to be one of her best books yet! Serafina and Remo don’t become a couple through traditional means, instead Remo quite literally stole his bride away.
If you’re looking for a gritty, raw mafia romance, this is the book for you!
The book is simply incredible, I exceed all my expectations, Cora’s narrative is so incredible that it makes you feel too many things, makes you love, suffered and cry, this book was simply magnificent. I did not think I could love Remo when reading Fabiano’s book but when I read this novel I convinced myself that I could love and understand him, the way to love his family and put it above everything is wow.
Remo’s unconditional love for Serafina, Greta, Nevio, his brothers, Kiara and Fabiano is definitely one of the highlights of this book. He feels everything with such intensity that you can’t help but root for him.
Serafina was a breath of fresh air because she stood her ground even when faced by someone considered a monster. Her pride didn’t make her weak or annoying. On the contrary, it made her strong and an equal. Remo wasn’t wrong when he said to her: “you aren’t a mere chess piece. You are the queen.”
I know their relationship didn’t start in the best way, but I loved everything about it. It took some time for them to trust and love each other a 100%, but that’s to be expected considering their circumstances. There was nothing rushed or surreal about it, which made me like them as a couple even more. If you’re looking for a great enemies to lovers slow burn romance, this is it!
– Adamo remains my favorite Falcone brother. JUST GIVE ME HIS BOOK, PLEASE.
– Remo is everyone’s dad. I love the way he pretends to be angry with his brothers lol As if.
– REMO USED TO CUDDLE ADAMO AND SAVIO WHEN THEY WERE LITTLE. I DON’T KNOW WHAT ELSE TO SAY.
– There’s something about using “angel” as a term of endearment that always gets to me.
– “It’s us against the world.
Twisted Pride
The Camorra Chronicles Book 3
Written by Cora Reilly
Read by Tor Thom & Charley Ongel
Why is this my first Cora Reilly book? No one has ever told me about her before and now I am hooked! This is my kind of listen, and I am in love! Remo is Capo of the Camorra and how better to anger the Outfit than to steal the the niece of Boss at her own wedding? The feud is real, but what Remo doesn’t anticipate Serafina. He thinks breaking her will be easy, but she is a formidable adversary! These two despite their family disputes have incredible chemistry. Remo is dark, twisted and dangerous, sometime so cruel I cringed, but it did not stop me from loving him! Serafina is just as dangerous, knows what she wants and isn’t afraid of doing what she knows is best. I loved these two, loved the results and can’t wait to experience more of Cora’s amazing writing.
With a novel like this, the narration has to be casted to perfection and the choice of Tor Thom and Charley Ongel is perfect! Thom’s baritone voice aids in that dark, alpha, twisted feel that Remo possesses and Ongel holds that strong, stubborness for Serafina. These two nailed the performance and enhanced the story!

I REALLY LIKED THIS BOOK UNTIL ONE POINT.
That point where It felt like it was never going to end. (You will understand once you read the book) I was happy at first because I wanted more Remo and Serafina but then it just became toooo much. A human being can never be happy.
Anyway this story god! How can you not fall in Love with Remo? If Serafina hadn’t I would happily take her place.
I knew he had a gentle side but didn’t expect it to be AHAIDBSKDJFIDJFKSUS so sweet and amazing!
When he let Serafina go I was so angry at him, but then when I got to know his reasoning my heart exploded.
I loved how strong Serafina is. I don’t think any other female leads in this series can even level with her. And can we talk about her bonding with her family and twin brother! It’s soooooo cute! . (view spoiler)
I KNEW REMO WAS GOING TO BE MY FAVORITE BROTHER, well unless Savio takes his place….. We will just have to see.
This is my only favorite book by this author so far, both the main characters were amazing! The attraction between them was soo hot. I couldn’t wait for them to fuck.
Twisted Pride is the third book in the Camorra Chronicles series by Cora Reilly. This was mind-blowing and jaw-dropping all wrapped up in one book. After reading this book, I was at a lost and I could not find any book after to read because I was knocked down by Cora’s ability to write a masterpiece with well-developed characters.
Remo Falcone and Serafina are the most complex yet so beautifully written characters by far. There are literal layers that we got to see from both Remo and Serafina that was so captivating and maddening that you could not help but just fall so far down in love with both of them.
” I wonder whose game is more dangerous, yours or mine, Remo?”
Remo is a brutal. He’s cold-hearted. He don’t show no mercy. He is unapologetic but he is loyal to his family. He would literally walk through fire for the people he cares about and he will do anything for them. Serafina is an angel that is proud and poised that is strong. Both characters are so undeniably beautiful it was hard to not like them. Their chemistry was dynamic and mind-blowing.
“I haven’t started playing, and you aren’t a mere chess piece, you are the queen.”
I absolutely loved, loved, loved and loved this book so much. I could not put it down. It was pure perfection. Truly and honestly and hands down, the best. Amazing work as always, Cora!
Mind. Exploded.
Can you fell in love in the most unusual circumstances? And is there hope for redemption and happy ending when you are surrounded by evil and you are the evil impersonation? May there be any hope?
Move over Luca and Dante there is new mob boss in town – Remo Falcone.
Oh my God I was waiting for Reko book since I’ve met him in Fabio’s book “Twisted loyalties”. He is one of the most interesting character in whole mafia genre.
Cora has that secret ability to write her male characters as cruel, brutal bad boys who have hearts deep down, okay really really deep down.
This story was definitely not easy to write that certain but Cora managed to write incredible story with fast pacing well-developed story, with character-driven plot that is full of angsty twists and turns that you won’t see coming. And I must say that enemies to lovers plot is one of my favorite trope especially with forbidden underlining (I think of course here about that hard feud between two opposing mafia families).
If you want to know answers for my questions at the beginning of my review you need to read that amazing book by mafia genre queen Cora Reilly. But first definitely best idea is to read previous books in twisted as well as bound series. You wont regret it. And I am waiting for next books in this mafia world impatiently.
Twisted Pride is not just a story, rather, it is an all encompassing immersive dive into an intense complex world of loss, violence, betrayal, loyalty, revenge and, most surprisingly, true love. This love, however, is elusive and not easily earned. The bad boy, Remo, Vegas Capo, seeking revenge- always- kidnaps the young bride of a rival outfit on her wedding day. Who would do something so crazy? Remo. He is insanely dark and fantastically menacing with a black hearted, unexplainable sexy vibe about him. Remo has mistakenly kidnapped the wrong bride, but he doesn’t know this yet. Remo, for his own twisted reasons, has devised a despicable plan to break the spirit and body of this poor girl. But, Serafina will not go quietly. She may have been dutifully headed to the altar, but this girl belongs to no one but herself. Strong willed, sharply intelligent, underestimated and hell bent on survival, Serafina is a quiet force pushing against the darkness that would consume her, and Remo, unassuming and arrogant, will soon understand that he has met his match, and in a girl, no less. Two amazing characters with divided loyalties realizing their heart’s desires makes for a highly compelling emotional read. I felt elated, heartbroken and everything in between. This story is raw and intense in the best way. Remo and Serafina, in a world of back stabbing and false smiles, grow together exponentially into something unexpectedly lovely and real. Their story is my favorite, so far, anyway. Cora Reilly has written another marvelous hard to put down story. Fans of the genre should snap this one up quickly! I’m certain you will adore Twisted Pride!
*I received a complimentary copy of this book and was under no obligation to post a review. All opinions expressed are my own.*
Remo’s history is one filled with violence, cruelty and no love. Serafina’s is filled with love, adoration and trust even though she’s not naive on what goes on in her family, The Outfit. She also knows what’s expectedly her. Remo is seeking retribution and he does so by taking what is definitely not his. It’s all part of his plan, Serafina is but a pawn in his wicked game. The only thing is that the game seems to have changed.
I was hooked on the first chapter of this book. Loved it all the way through to the very end.
TWISTED PRIDE

Release Date April 16
Cora Reilly has delivered another outstanding book in the Camorra Chronicles. Twisted Pride is my fave in the series.
Remo Falcone has always intrigued me. He was mysterious, asshole and gave no fcks about anyone that wasn’t family. Serafina was so strong willed, stubborn and bowed down to no one. Serafina was the light to Reno’s dark. They chemistry between Remo and Serafina was off the charts.
This book had me so invested and I finished it in one sitting. I highly recommend this author. Cora had me hooked with her Born in Blood series and now add the Camorra Chronicles to the mix. She writes amazing mafia books and is definitely one of my faves with intriguing characters and heroines that can bring even the harshest men to their knees.
This might be my favorite series this year. I was so excited for Remo’s book and the author didn’t disappoint. This book was epic in my opinion. The amount of loss/love/drama made this book incredible. There was so much build up around Remo in the past few books so I really didn’t know what to expect of him. Serafina was the perfect woman for him. She was so strong and fierce- a equal match for Remo. This book was great and pick up right where the series left off. I cannot wait for whats next!!
This is the story of Remo Falcone Capo of the Camorra and Serafina mafia princess and beloved niece of the Boss of the Outfit, The Camorra’s sworn enemies.
Kidnapped on the way to her wedding by Remo and his family what starts out as an ingenious way to bring her family to its knees soon becomes so much more as Remo and Serafina take starring roles in there own bizarre courtship.
So I really adored Twisted pride, no one can write mafia romances like This particular author and she has yet to produce one that I haven’t liked.
This is one I was so looking forward too just because I loved Remo so much in the previous book.
Remo himself is somewhat of a psycho and what I really enjoyed about this was that he didn’t change to fit the mold.
He mellowed slightly for one woman but stayed true to form as the scariest man in town to all else.
Serafina I liked the journey she undertook from a somewhat blinkered outlook to eyes wide open I really appreciated the way she accepted everything to do with her new life and future.
She ultimately made a choice and she owned it in its entirety.
It was refreshing to see her accept Remo holey as he was.
Also adored where this eventually took us those last few chapters and seeing a softer side of Remo was as unexpected as it was sweet.
This one really was a hit for me and I am loving this series just so much.
I voluntary reviewed a copy of Twisted Pride.

This book is that kind of book which after you finish it,you will ask yourself “What did I just read”?
That’s what I did.
This was really amazing journey.
Remo has a plan. After his territory is attacked by Dante,Remo wants some retribution and he knows a way to bring made man to their knees. He will steal Dante’s nice Serafina,on her wedding day and use her to get what he wants from Dante.
And his plan works.
Remo is very twisted character. There were so many moments where I just though “wow, this is guy is insane” and then there were moments where you can really see who Remo is.He is cruel and crazy, brutal and unapologetic but at the same time everything he dose,he does for his family. And I loved that about him.The thing is,Remo did capture Serafina with intention to get her in his bed and “break her”.He knew how that will affect her family but he didn’t expect her to be the way she was.So essentially Remo fell into his own trap.
Serafina is proud women and brave one too.She didn’t care about herself much but she did care about her family. Her honor dictated her life for so long and Remo give her opportunity to shake that away for awhile and just do something that she wants. In a way I felt like she wanted to be like him, able to do things without fear that someone will judge her.So she got something else form her kidnapping and not what she originally expected.Remo didn’t force her to do anything but made her do things that she really wanted. That left her shameful and confused because how could she do that to her family?
This book was amazing to read.I loved how Remo’s twisted games turned out against him and brought him to his knees for one women who he thought was breakable.
And the rest of the Falcone brothers?I need more of them right now.
