Quinn Darkova made a vow from the very beginning. And now she’s home. For revenge . . . Except N’skara isn’t the same as it was ten years ago, and the person she came for is nowhere to be found. After being taken ashore by armed guards of the same Council they came to sway, Quinn knows it’s up to her to uncover the truth about what really happened, while seeking the retribution owed to her. Lazarus … retribution owed to her.
Lazarus knew she was hiding something. He knew she had unfinished business in N’skara. But never could he have known this. He hadn’t predicted how set in their ways the people were. He hadn’t listened to the warnings when Quinn spoke of secrets and lies. He hadn’t realized that the woman he couldn’t stay away from was forged as much by blood as she was by darkness.
Now it was time to learn.
In a land of sheep, it pays to be a wolf.
For King and Corruption coming Winter 2019. This series must be read in order.

Unbelievably Phenomenal and Intensely Thrilling!
WOW! Book 3 is explosive! Right from beginning until the end you don’t want to take your eyes off the page. It is intense, heartbreaking and so thrilling. Everything is packed into this one – fantastic action, suspense, intrigue, heartbreak and that powerful ending – AMAZING!
Quinn is everything you want in a badass heroine. She’s fierce, powerful, intense and extremely volatile! Do not cross her! We learn quite a bit about Quinn in this book. Her story is very heartbreaking at times and I completely understand now why she seeks (and needs) revenge on her own family and country. I love her more now then I did at the start of the series.
Everything about book 3 is utterly phenomenal and so amazingly written. It is hard to describe how fantastic this series is. You should just read it! Highly recommend.
I was so excited for this book and it did not disappoint. We learn of Quinn and who made her who she is today. We see how strong she has become and also we see how much the connection between Lazarus and her continues to grow. This book sucked me in and and could not put it down. I can not wait for the next book or the rest of the series. Well done!
I received an ARC of this book and am leaving an honest review.
Quinn Darkova. Lazarus Fierte. Draeven Adelmar. Dominicus. Vaughn. Lorraine. Axe. Introduction to new characters (that would remind you of Mariska Hartitay from L&O:SVU, but that’s just me).
Twisted is the Crown, book 3, is much anticipated because of how book 2 ended. Quinn & Lazarus & Co travel to where it all began in N’skara for Quinn. Will it be a bittersweet reunion or will it be a revenge that’s bitter & sweet? A certain scene reminded me of the infamous Red Wedding. I really enjoyed TITC because we come to learn & understand more of but not limited to how Quinn came to be Quinn, why Laz should listen to Quinn especially when it comes to N’skara, what (or who) Quinn cares about, finally, the bulit up sexual tension between the two.
The Dark Maji series will suck you right in & leave you pinning for the rest of the continuation of the books. I’m not the only one who cannot wait for book 4, For King of Corruption, not only for the sweltering heatwave that’s making us melt to go away, but the more important reason is in Winter when said book is going to be released.
I am writing this honest review after receiving an ARC.
I found and started this series probably a little over a month ago. The first book hooks you and you cant let go of the dark twists and turns of the story and the characters. I finished 1, read 2, and have been impatiently waiting for this 3rd book—so impatient that when I found out you could get the 3rd book on Booksprout early in exchange for reviews, I immediately was on that.
I was in high anticipation for this book and it didn’t disappoint. Something wicked this way come. *possible spoiler* This book takes you on a wicked journey home for Quinn and as a reader you revel in all the dark deeds Quinn does in her quest for revenge. You sit huddled on your reading app in anticipation for what she’ll do next.
And her and Lazarus. I just love the build up of their antagonistic yet completely in sync relationship and interactions.
While this book met or exceeded expectations because it is such a great story to read, there is one thing I wished was more involved in the story.
Lazarus and Quinn interactions were less this time because this book was heavily about Quinn. I wish we got more Lazarus and more of the two of them together.
Other than that, I am hooked on this series. I cannot wait for the next book! Especially because I didnt see that end coming

Again you ladies have slayed it! Amazing!
I loved how this book started and how it ended.
The dynamics that make up Quinn have been further explained and holy crap, I love her even more!
Quinn and her darkness had me shooting my fist in the air and saying “Hell Yea”.
What a fantastic story line.
I cannot wait for the next in this series. I am already going through withdraws!
Wonderfully written and I am so ready for the next book.
Thank you for writing such a compelling story.
If you have not started reading this series…stop what you are doing and do so NOW!

This book continues where book two left off. Quinn has her own agenda to complete prior to the group moving on. The biggest question is will her agenda mess up Lazarus’s plan on an alliance with her native land. Loved this book from beginning to end. It holds your attention without overly drawn out scenes. If books 1 and 2 kept you captivated, then this book will only add to the suspense.

Holy mackerel! If you read the first two books you knew this day was coming. It’s been written on the walls since day one. If you REALLY enjoyed the series you have been rubbing your hands together excited to watch it all go down.
Hold on to your socks people, no matter what you thought you were going to read, it’s going to take you to a whole new level!
Twisted in the Crown is that rare chance when you actually get to see karma happen. You are going to get that sick pleasure out of watching certain people receive their comeuppance.
As a side note can we talk about how freaking hot Lazarus is?! Dude is down for anything and doesn’t bat an eye. He’s just right behind her, whatever she wants. Everyone needs a Lazarus.
At this point if you’ve read 1 & 2 I don’t even know how you can be reading a review before diving in! Get in there!!
* Spoiler*This book was amazing! Dark, twisted, hot, sexy, despair, revenge, and elation! This book pulls you in immediately, twists you up, and spits you back out wanting more! Quinn, Lazarus, Draeven, Axe, and Risk are all together yet help Quinn get revenge for past indiscretions against her and Risk! This book is imaginative, colorful, and very vivid in the writing!

Quinn’s story continues to unfold in this dark and addictive tale. We learn more about Quinn as she seeks to balance the scales of her past life and when justice is served it is not with compassion for the evil-doer, but is rather fueled by soul deep damage and fury. This is not for the faint of heart! Quinn is a Dark Maji with all that it entails but despite her methods, I had nothing but empathy for how she chose to exact her revenge. The best part? There’s a Book 4 coming….

If you want dark this is definitely the book for you! I have never felt such pain and anger from a character before than I do from Quinn. My heart hurts for her and I just love when she kicks ass. Seeing her become stronger throughout each book is mesmerizing and her connection with Lazarus growing more each time is amazing! This book made me realize how truly bloodthirsty I am because I thoroughly enjoyed every single death and vengeance Quinn dealt out. Each one was very deserved.
