Savio Falcone has a few non-negotiable rules when it comes to girls. They need to be hot as f*ck.Spread their legs without much prompting. And leave as soon as the fun is over. Preferably minus any bitching or tears. With his easy-going bad boy attitude, a last name that rules over Las Vegas and a body to die for, girls have always been at Savio’s disposal.Unfortunately, the hottest girl in Vegas … hottest girl in Vegas comes with a price Savio isn’t willing to pay. For Savio to get Gemma he’d need to seal the deal and put a ring on her finger. Settling down is out of the question, no matter how hot a piece of ass waits at the altar.
Gemma Bazzoli has had a crush on Savio from the first moment she came face to face with his arrogant smile, but for him she was always his best friend’s annoying little sister—until her hard-earned curves catch even his attention.
But Savio likes it easy, and Gemma is anything but. When she’s promised to another man, Gemma resigns herself to the fact that the man she’s wanted all her life, doesn’t want her badly enough.
Savio has to decide how much work he’s willing to invest, because bending the rules in his usual style might not be enough to get the girl that haunts his wet dreams.

OMG! How I love this series!! Savio is the second to the youngest in the Falcone family. Raised by his two older brothers, he is more carefree than the older ones. As his older brothers get married, he has to adapt to having sister in laws and children running around the mansion but getting tied down himself is that last thing on his mind.
Gemma is the younger sister of Savio’s best friend, Diego. Even as a child Gemma dreams of being married to Savio but he thinks of her as too young and too innocent for him. When Gemma reaches age 16, against her wishes, her family arranges a marriage with someone else. It is then that Savio, really has to figure out if he will take a chance or lose her forever.
I loved this story. They have many struggles to over come but I really enjoyed seeing their relationship grow and development. Cora is a one click author to me and I can’t wait to read the next.
“I’m not worried about her being yours. No one with half a brain will touch a Falcone woman. But she might want you to be hers too, remember that.”
And the most dysfunctional family in Las Vegas is back. I confess I missed them. And this time, we will have the clash between Savio and an opponent with potential to knock him out.
Gemma loved Savio from the first moment she saw him. But the mysterious, with a lot of attitude older boy sees her only as his friend’s younger sister. But Gemma is unwilling to be ignored and will do everything in her power to get his attention.
The story will follow the two for a few years and clearly accentuate the differences between them. As Savio grows and becomes a force to be feared, a legitimate Falcone like his brothers, and enjoys freedom, money, fun and women, Gemma grows attached to a traditional and religious family that shapes her into the perfect girl and future wife. Watched closely by her brother, she doesn’t have a minute of privacy or even consideration. Her family, though loving, is extremely sexist
The only point Gemma has managed to bend her father is when he allows her to train and learn to fight. And who better to teach her than the boy she’s in love with?
In this cat-and-mouse game, Savio will only notice her years later, when she becomes a beautiful woman. And when she’s promised to another man. Determined to claim her, he has a difficult decision ahead. But how do you combine your new life with your old one? How to continue living a single life while engaged? That will be the big question of the book.
Expect the participation of other members of the Falcone clan. Remo and Greta will be good surprises.
Gemma even overprotected, became a strong and determined woman. I liked the character, the way she imposed herself, how she fought for what she wanted. Even as tragedy strikes, she continues to move on.
Savio was my big problem. And as much as it pains me to admit it, he was the Falcone that least caught my eye. His inconsequential and womanizing way of life was understandable for his age, but not wanting to let go of it even though he was with Gemma, he showed how much he didn’t respect her. I couldn’t see a great love from him. The ring’s plot only cemented the issue.
Even with these reservations, I loved the book. It’s impossible not to like something Cora writes. Or that have the Las Vegas unit.
With Adamo’s book to be written, I’m curious about what his story will be like. Until that moment, victory lies with the two older brothers. Remo and Nino knocked out Savio without a doubt.
5 STARS
The fifth book in The Camorra Chronicles was hands down a 5 star EPIC read!!! Savio is all I imagined he would be and more. I enjoyed seeing Gemma evolve from a young girl with the school girl crush, into the young woman who in time discovers her worth.
“This bull won’t ever be chained to one woman.”
Little does Savio know when he makes that comment. I love all the Falcones, but there was something about reading Savio’s story that kept it real.
This story was incredible and I highly recommend picking up this book! Twisted Hearts by Cora Reilly will join the ranks of the BIBLIO-ARISTOCRACY!!!
This book was everything! Firstly, congrats to Cora on another amazing book in the Camorra series! I experienced so many different emotions whilst reading this book. I was laughing, crying, getting angry and frustrated at certain characters (lol Savio) but in the end, I just loved the book. It wasn’t what I expected but now thinking back, I wouldn’t want it to be written any other way. Cora did an amazing job with character development and redemption and showing the depth/complexity of each character.
Gemma was such a fierce character as she knew what she wanted and wasn’t afraid to go after it. She is a strong fighter both in and out the ring and some of the events that occur in the book deeply impact her shows the true strength of her character. While Gemma has a cheeky, fighting spirit, she is also loyal, traditional, innocent and girly which balances out her personality. Her relationship with her family was interesting as her brother Diego is your typical overprotective brother who can seem overbearing at times but I think readers will come to love him and understand why he is like that. Her relationship with Savio was very interesting as I experienced a variety of different emotions when they interacted. The journey of Gemma’s and Savio’s relationship will make you laugh, cry and get frustrated… mostly in a good way though. The chemistry between the two is undeniable and was very entertaining to read.
Savio, I love him but god, I got so frustrated with him at times because of how some his actions/choices he made impacted certain characters in the book. When reading about him in past books in the Camorra series, I came to love his personality and had a certain perception of him. In Twisted Hearts, Cora has shown a completely different side of Savio that I was not expecting to see but needed to. He is a very humorous, playful character which gets him into lots of trouble (which I love) but he is also quite selfish. He does have a lot of redeeming qualities and by the end of the book, I was very happy with not only the outcome but how Savio’s character developed into someone I respect. Also, Savio with Greta is EVERYTHING. Overall, Savio was not what I expected but I wouldn’t want him any other way. Love that man!
You get to meet a lot of new characters but get to see quite a few old favourites. I won’t spoil anything but I was very excited to see glimpses of certain characters and how they have grown (from both Born in Blood and Camorra series). There are a few new characters that I have come to love (look out for Nonna, you will love her) and they bring an interesting dynamic into the series. When I don’t think I could love Remo anymore, he proves me wrong. That man is something else. Each Falcon is so unique and brings something different to the table.
Twisted Hearts was one of my favourite books to read in the Camorra series and you will not be disappointed! Congrats Cora!!
“Some people don’t believe in love at first sight.
They say it’s only lust.
The first time I saw Savio Falcone, I fell for him, literally and figuratively, and not in lust either because I didn’t know what that was. I fell in love with a boy I couldn’t have, not in a way my family would approve.” – Gemma
I have been waiting for months for this book, and I am so not disappointed! I loved it, from the first word to the last – I absolutely loved it!
“Out of my brothers, I really was the sanest, which didn’t say much.” – Savio
Can I just start by saying how much I am OBSESSED with this mafia world that Cora has created? I mean, we are what? Like 12 books in and this author can still manage to leave our jaws hanging open at the end of each book. Twisted Hearts was no different! Savio and Gemma’s story was a rollercoaster of emotions but my god was the ride worth it!
This book gets a solid five stars from me as it’s been 17 days since I read the book and I’m still thinking about everything that happened!! I cannot wait until Adamo’s book because I need more of these Falcone Brothers!
Twisted Hearts is the 5th and highly anticipated installment in The Camorra Chronicles by the unquestioned queen of Mafia romance Cora Reilly. I’m a huge fan of her work and have been for years. She is an incredibly talented author who knows how to write a captivating story and create intriguing and multi-layered characters.
If you’ve read the previous books in this addictive series you know that Savio Falcone is the second youngest brother of the clan that is ruling Las Vegas with an iron fist. He is a cocky manwhore and often drives his siblings crazy with his antics. Savio is very reserved when it comes to showing his feelings and that’s why he often prefers to hide them behind a masterfully crafted facade of arrogance, callous indifference and unshakable self-confidence. Savio Falcone is without a doubt a man full of flaws but he also has some very redeemable qualities – if you dare to look behind the mask. He is a seductive charmer who’s used to getting his way with women but Gemma didn’t succumb to his games and gave him a run for his money. And let’s be honest here, he needed that wake up call badly in order to realise that the way he was living his life wasn’t satisfying for him. He needed someone else in his corner he could trust fully besides his brothers, their wives and kids.
Gemma Bazzoli grew up in a very traditionalist Italian family who still believes in strict rules and ethics. She’s been razed to be a prim and proper young lady who will save herself for her husband. Although her parents have been strict with her they’ve indulged her wish to learn how to fight. She was allowed to train with her older brother and chaperone Diego and her big crush Savio. Gemma always looked up to him and dreamed about becoming Mrs. Falcone. But for a very long time she was only his best friend’s annoying little sister. Until one day Savio noticed that she’s grown into a gorgeous young woman with an incredible body. In his eyes she was the perfect mix of a siren and choir girl he wanted to corrupt. Gemma might have been inexperienced and naive but she had strong morals and values I truly admired. She wanted Savio to stop chasing every skirt in Las Vegas, she demanded fidelity and respect. Something a woman is not allowed to ask from a freedom-loving, stubborn mobster.
Cora Reilly has chosen to give us a dual POV in this story with glimpses of the hero and heroine as teens and later young adults. I loved seeing how they’ve first met and how their perception and awareness of each other changed over time. It helped me to better understand the characters and their actions and made it easier to connect with them on an emotional level. Although I have to confess that Savio is unfortunately not easy to love as a hero with his unapologetic way of life that made me furious and frustrated at times.
I’m purposely not giving away anything about the plot because I think that it’s best if you go into this story with an open heart and mind trusting the author to give you a great reading experience. I’ve thoroughly enjoyed this amazing book and sincerely hope that Gemma’s overprotective and kind-hearted brother Diego will get his own story and I already know who I want him to be with. Cora, please make my dream come true! *wink* I’m giving Twisted Hearts 5 well-deserved stars!
Oh boy! Twisted Hearts took me by surprise on so many levels. I honestly can’t remember the last time I felt so many contradictive emotions about a book hero. While cocky, charming and stubborn Savio often made me want to throw my kindle against a wall, the heroine Gemma was the total opposite. I loved that fierce and loyal girl with all my heart and soul. For the most parts of the book I was convinced that Savio doesn’t deserve her! He was so used to easy women who did what he wanted and Gemma was anything but! She knew her worth and didn’t make it easy for him. I wanted to high five her for that! Despite many stupid actions on Savio’s part, Cora Reilly did her magic and made me change my mind about him in the end. She has this special talent of making you fall in love with the bad guys. When it comes to Mafia romance she’s my go to author. Noone writes this genre better than her!
Gemma Bazzoli had a crush on Savio from the first moment she met him. Unfortunately he only saw her as his best friend Diego’s annoying little sister. But when Gemma turns into a beautiful young woman with sinful curves, she finally catches his attention. Too bad she’s taboo and comes with a price Savio isn’t willing to pay: marriage. When she’s promised to another man, Navio has to decide if he’s going to let her go or fight for the gorgeous girl he can’t stop thinking about…
I loved sweet Gemma from the start. She grew up in a very loving and traditional family with values, which was so much different from Savio’s upbringing. The Bazzoli’s weren’t rich in material terms. Her brother and father were common soldiers for the Falcone brothers. Gemma knew that in the Mafia world, marriage was seldom about love but more about power and alliances. Knowing that, her heart still refused to accept that and let Savio go. She was a romantic young woman who believed in true love and saved herself for the only man she’s ever wanted. I totally respected and admired her for that!
As a mobster and brother to the capo of the Camorra family, Savio had blood on his hands from a young age. The concept of love was foreign to him, with the exception of his brothers and their spouses and children. For him loving another person made you vulnerable and he wasn’t ready for that! Nor was he ready to give up his freedom and be faithful to one woman.
Gemma and Savio started off as friends, but there was always something more there. Gemma was in love from the start, but it took Savio some time to catch up and see her as a woman. But once he did, he could hardly stay away from her. All he wanted was to corrupt and own the young, innocent girl with a body to die for. Nobody else was going to have her but him!
At some point I thought I already knew in which direction this story will go, only to be proven wrong later. I didn’t see the big blow coming! It was a punch to the heart and was so sad and heartbreaking, I could barely stand it. Everything changed after that and Savio’s eyes were opened once and for all. It gave him the final kick to grow up and make the right decision!
I’m not going to give away more from the plot, because it would spoil the book for you. All I can tell you is that there will be ups and downs and some very unexpected turns. But don’t worry, you will get lots of Falcone family time plus some very cute and funny scenes that will make your heart melt.
Thank you Cora Reilly for another highly entertaining and unputdownable book in the Camorra Chronicles series. I can’t wait to read Adamo’s story. 5 stars!

“The first time I saw Savio Falcone, I fell for him, literally and figuratively, and not in lust either because I didn’t know what lust was. I fell in love with a boy I couldn’t have , not in a way my family would approve.”
Savio is charming, funny, sarcastic and a huge manwhore. He has all the girls he wants and loves parties. As a Falcone, he has his responsibilities too, and a dark past he tries to hide with his sense of humor. He has all the girls he wants… but now, he wants only one.
Gemma Bazzoli is the perfect girl of a traditionalist italian family. She loves to fight and this is her real passion. Gemma, has been in love with Savio for years (she literally fell for him), but she knows that maybe, her dream of being his wife will never come true. But sometimes, things change.
I loved to see another side of Savio in this book. It’s easy to like him in the previous books, but now we really get to know him better. Although he messed up a lot of times and said some things that really pissed me off, I loved to see how he was capable of change. Seeing his true feelings was something else, he is always the fun guy and looks always happy, but inside he has his own conflicts and traumas and has to fight his own demons. He is human, and I loved how Cora presented this part of Savio to us.
I was anxious to get to know Gemma better, and she is really awesome, strong and passionate. From a little girl to a strong woman, she’s a character who stole my heart. Being able to know her at every stage of her life was great because we see her growing into someone much stronger. Despite all the difficulties, she never bows her head and bravely faces everything and always protects the people she loves. Her friendship with Toni is one of my favorite things in this book, the way they always support one another, it makes me so happy, they are incredible best friends.
This is not a book about the perfect love story with the perfect characters. Both have many flaws, but in some way, all ends up working fine and in the end, you will love the couple and understand both sides. I believe things were a little slower, taking a longer time to happen, but it was necessary for the whole story to take shape and I really enjoyed seeing it all fall into place. Seeing the Falcone family interaction makes my heart full and very happy. This family conquered me and this book made me love them even more.
Get ready to love Savio and Gemma. This couple goes through their ups and downs, but in the end, they will win your heart.
I can’t wait for more books in the universe of The Camorra Chronicles!
Rate: 4.5/5
I love the story that finally brought Savio to his knees. I really love the Falcone brothers. Savio Is a man whore and Gemma is the perfect woman to bring him to his knees with all her traditional and conservative values. I will be honest I didn’t like what a dog Savio always leading up to their marriage. I kind of felt that there was no loyalty there but I understand it’s part of who Savio is. I like how patient he was with Gemma and how she made him work for it. Great read cannot wait for Diego or Adamos book!

A mafia romance, filled with heartbreak, angst and redemption.
The story follows Gemma as she grows from a teenager to a woman. Having loved her brothers best friend for most of her life, she fights between her beliefs of saving herself for marriage, and her forbidden desires for Savio. I enjoyed this conflict immensely and thought it was refreshing to read.
Italian traditionalist, Gemma, is naive to the world of lust and love, shes confident and determined. I loved that she carried her heart on her sleves throughout the book. Opening up to love is not easy when the hero is openly sowing his wild oats but she continues her persual and never gives up, no matter her heartbreak and disappointment.
Our playboy hero, Savio, is a jerk. Plain and simple. Hes charming, uncaring and arrogant. With every turn it was became harder and harder to root for the couple. He is not your typical hero and is very hard to like. The heros charecter development was a slow and frustrating progress but he was able to redeem himself.
The level of angst in this book is sky high. Although they were not fully committed in their relationship, the hero continued his womanising ways even after he was engaged to the heroine.
Twisted hearts can be read as a standalone and is the fifth installment from The Camorra Chronicles series. Having not read the previous books I was still able to follow along and did not feel like I was missing anything. I’m a huge fan of the Born in Blood Mafia Chronicles and would love to read the rest of this series.
Warning: cheating.
5 stars for Twisted Hearts by Cora Reilly. This is book 5 in The Camorra Chronicles. While we have seen Savio through out the series , this book really dives into who Savio is. I am a big fan of Cora Reilly and The Camorra Chronicles, and this book did not disappoint. Gemma has had a crush on Savio for a long time. He is her brother’s best friend. She is strong and sweat but seems to be innocent. I think these two are perfect for each other. The chemistry between these two is what makes the story what it is. Both characters change during this book. Gemma becomes strong and Savio seems to mature and become the man we all knew he was meant to be. While reading I laughed and cried. I felt some extreme emotions. While the issue is can Savio pay the price for Gemma. This book has everything we love in a forbidden taboo mafia romance. I do not want to say to much and give anything away. I will just say that this book is worth reading. I loved every page of it. Great job Cora Reilly.
Savio Falcone arrogance personafied, Gemma Bazzoli innocence wrapped in a tempting package together they are fire. Gemma fell for Savio with all the emotion of young unrequited love for him she’s his friends little sister. I winced several times at her attempts to get him to notice her over the years. I have to give her 10 out of 10 for persistance despite her brothers repeated warnings about who Savio really is. Oh the innonece of that first crush. I enjoyed the dual pov in the story getting inside his head however briefly made him more likeable to me. Gemma may have been trapped by her upbringing but the glimpses of her fiesty attitude gave me hope that she could be a match for Savio and wouldn’t let him away with too much. I enjoyed this book even if I wanted to slap Savio and shake Gemma several times.
The Bull meets his match
Twisted Hearts is the next book by Cora in the Camorra Chronicles and by far holds the most stubborn and arrogant Falcone to grace us with his smirk or better yet his Bull Suffice to say Gemma has her work cut out for her, if she ever wants to achieve the honour of becoming Savio’s wife
For the first half of this book, I really wished I knew some cage fighting so I could take Savio down and then for the second half I was like….ok, Gemma, you go girl
I’m looking forward to Adamo’s story as I feel he has a heart of gold and I’m hoping his time with Luca has helped Thank you to Cora for my advanced copy for which I voluntarily leave my honest review
whew..I had never liked Salvio and I knew or at least had a feeling that I was going to have some issues with him and I was right. Salvio was selfish and hardheaded, but then he is a Falcone. He did not think of Gemma’s feelings like at all and that had annoyed the heck out of me. He just knew that he wanted her, that she was his and no one else was ever going to have her. Gemma was raised to be a good wife, dressed like nun but I am glad that they had taught her to fight and I was happy that midway she got some backbone or I would have totally hated her, but finally she makes him work for it. I liked her brother Diego and I liked that regardless that Salvio was a Falcone, Diego did not hold back on his feeling regarding Salvio and Gemma, she was his sister and he wanted her treated well and respected and for that he became a favorite of mine. There is so much I can say but trying not to give spoilers it is hard, all in all I will say that this is Cora Reilly we are talking about here and whether it is her Born in blood series, or her Camorra series, they are fantastic and she will always have a loyal fan in me..O one last tidbit the glimpse we get in the next generation was flabbergasting! Uhh
Rcvd and ARC at no cost to author…voluntarily reviewed with my own thoughts and opinions
I received a free copy of this book and I am voluntarily leaving a review.
Finally a book for Savio and Gemma
It talks about how these 2 met, how he’s from a non-traditional family and hers are traditional, and how they come to love each other after what they have been through, especially Savio.
Sometimes I wanted to strangle Savio for his behavior towards Gemma
This Kitty tamed the Bull
„I don’t want this to be a game for you.”
I finally got one of my most anticipated stories! The Camorra Chronicles sucked me in from the very first book and with every another one I was impatient to know Savio’s story- the ultimate bad boy, completely unattainable and wild one. I knew that a woman who decided to ‘put the bull on a leash’ won’t have an easy task. However, watching how Gemma accomplishes the impossible was an extremely exciting and entertaining journey. Twisted Hearts has the perfect title because it literally leaves the reader’s heart in a twist. While reading, my emotions flew all around the place, the tension made me dizzy, and the banter between Savio and Gemma gave me life.
I am not surprised that Gemma was so crazy about Savio. This Falcone brother is exactly the type we hate to love and love to hate. He’s like a favorite addiction – we know that it’s unhealthy and that the consequences will be bad, but we can’t deny ourselves because the pleasure is too great. Although in this book there were dozens of moments in which I wanted to slap Savio in the face, strangle him and deprive him of manhood, I still wanted to jump his bones and have his babies. His character is quite complicated and under the façade of a party animal and funny guy hides a scarred man.
Gemma is simply amazing. Extremely stubborn, strong and sassy. But also innocent and sometimes naive, but this can be explained on the basis of her traditional upbringing. This girl knows what she wants and she takes it. Getting Savio was quite a challenge but she managed like a boss, not letting herself to be pushed around.
Although Gemma knew from the very beginning that Savio is her one and only, their relationship can be described as total slow burn. Yes, chemistry was off the charts, lust filled pages to the brim, but these two needed emotional maturity to create a real relationship. Savio and Gemma tested themselves to the limit, they butted heads and drove each other insane. At the end, however, every moment of frustration, anger and disappointment paid off. THESE TWO ARE FIRE!
And don’t get me started on the other characters… The Falcones, their wives and kids OWN ME. I love them all and I’m always ecstatic to see how the life treats them. And when Cora puts in the story cameos from Born in Blood Mafia Chronicles I’m literally squealing!
Cora Reilly is and always will be number one for me when it comes to mafia romance. She’s not sugarcoating, she shows us a real and raw dangerous world, where love can also find a place. Twisted Hearts is no exception- it’s rough, brutal and emotional. But it also has sweet and adorable moments, when my heart melted and my soul sang. Perfect combination! I can’t wait to read the youngest Falcone’s story. I’m pretty sure Adamo will surprise us the most!
Absolutely loved this book! I couldn’t put it down! From the very first chapter is sucked me in and didn’t let me go till the last word. I’ve had to reread it so many times because Everytime felt like the first time. Cora out did her self with this book. For us to be able to see inside Savio and Gemma’s heads was amazing. I loved their personalities. The way they are together. And I loved that Gemma was a fighter. She is a strong woman and that adds to fire she brings into Savio’s life. Savio’s personality was exactly like I hoped it would be. He is strong, caring, and a butthead at times. Seeing him with the kids swelled my heart! Definitely a 5+ star read!
Omg! What??? I absolutely floved Slavio and Gemma. Lucky enough to get my hands on this jewel. I love the dual POV, dark, sexy, panty melting goodness.
Wow what a book!! Cora did not disappoint with yet another freaking amazing book.. the story of Kitty and the her Bull was just so amazing and so much more that what I was expecting.. the story just sucked me in and I couldn’t stop flipping the pages. Gemma was such a sweet traditional woman who also knew what she wanted and stood firm with her decisions. The book showed the bond between Gemma and her brother and how overprotective her family is of her. The story was such a page turner and when you though you know what will happen next it just doesn’t and I loved that, having Cora surprise us at every turn.
Savio was such a bull he used sarcasm and jokes to hide his true feelings especially towards Gemma which cause a lot of trouble for them. However, they do overcome all that.
Seeing moments between The Falcone brothers, Adamo and how his going since his leave to New York and seeing Luca and his family for a small flinch was so good. This book also had a lot of hints in about Nevio, Greta, Amo, Marcella and the other kids including Aurora who might end up with Nevio, even though Fabi said he doesn’t want her much at the Falcone mansion
We also got to see and know a little bit about Nestore Romano and his mad fighting skills. Everything about this book was so amazing and epic just like all the other The Camorra Chronicles and Born in Blood Mafia Chronicles.
Congratulations Cora Reilly for your amazing work, your the best Cora Reilly
I received this book as an ARC and am voluntarily leaving review!!
I hated the way Savio treated Gemma when they got engaged. While I know it wasn’t real for him, he knew she was in love with him and didn’t care. That being said, I understand Gemma wanting to get the upper hand because of how they started out but come on your married….give it up already! That buildup was crazy and when they finally got together it was amazing. I really liked these two together and I’m glad she finally got what she always wanted. Great read!
I wrote this review based on an advance reading copy that the publisher sent me.
