“The long awaited audiobook of Savio and Gemma is finally here. Twisted Hearts literally twisted my heart. We slightly got to know Savio in Twisted Loyalties but in this new book we truly get to know him. I have a love / hate relationship with him. Trust me, he isn’t easy to love, I cannot count how many time I wanted to punched him in the face. His cocky attitude and manwh ** re lifestyle was a mixed of hotness and the same time annoyance, yet Cora made an outstanding job showing us his deepest side. Gemma, I also had some conflicts with her at the beginning. I desperately wanted that she stand up for herself and not only being seen as a girl with an impossible crush. His over protective brother and their traditions, I though she deserved better. Don’t get me wrong she’s a great girl, smart and funny but at the beginning I couldn’t stand her childish crush, she seemed almost ridiculous but I got it, she was actually a girl and through out the story we got to see how she grew up and matured. That’s one of the things I love the most about Cora’s writing, she has a unique way to developed their characters that we get to see multiple sides of them so loving them is so easy. Savio and Gemma’s relationship was complicated, it’s the only word I can think that describes what they had but their bond was so special, they were perfect for each other. Like I said, we got to see how both of them grew up, she became a strong women while Savio ended proving how people misunderstood him. Their chemistry was explosive but not like a hurricane that turned upside down their emotions, no, things rolled out at the exact time with no rush. Tim Paige and Kelsey Navarro did an outstanding job portraying both Gemma and Savio’s personalities and emotions. The way they interpreted both characters was beyond amazing! I cannot go without mentioning her brother Diego. Gosh, I seriously hated him. He was annoying and irritating, yes, he was only protecting Gemma and their traditions but he really pissed me almost all the story being honest. To like him wasn’t easy but you will laugh, cry and smile through all the story. Hearing him from both narrators only intensify my annoyance toward him though I really tried to like him. Twisted Hearts is a perfect addition to the Camorra Chronicles. Once again Cora gave us an outstanding masterpiece. Tim Paige and Kelsey Navarro narration gave me all emotions and the angst felt so real, my emotions are still on the edge. I really hope you love Twisted Hearts audiobook as much as I do. ”
** REVIEW BASED ON THE AUDIOBOOK NARRATED BY TIM PAIGE AND KELSEY NAVARRO**
This was the first book I have read by this author and man I am hooked, obsessed, and going back to read more about the Falcone boys. Savio was that perfect guy you loved to hate and hated to love, he was arrogant, cocky, acted as if he had no care in the world, but something about Gemma always intrigued him just not in any way other than sisterly, until one day she catches his attention, but Savio is and says he will remain in his playboy ways. Gemma comes from a strict and traditionalist Italian family who value their believes above anything else so while she has a deep crush on Savio she knows her traditions may be the reason she can’t have him. Their push and pull and looking back into how they met was amazing and I learned a lot about why Savio is the way he is about never being tamed, yet at times I wanted to throttle him throughout because his ways always broke Gemma’s heart. I loved how close both characters were to their families and loved the banter between Falcone brothers and my heart hurt for Gemma so many times, this author has a way of making you feel part of the story instead of telling you the story. The story follows how possessive and protective families can be, how much Savio wants Gemma but won’t give into her traditionalist ways, so can these two ever make things work or are they part of the same world but just never meant to be with believes and playboy thoughts get in their way?
I loved this book. Sexy! Hot chemistry. Wasn’t happy with the way savio continued to have sex even though he didn’t want her going out with anyone, such a man. I love this whole series, can’t wait for more.
Finally we meet the woman who captured Savio Falcone’s heart!
Only a fighter like Gemma would be able to put an end to Savio’s manwhoring days. But what a difficult road it has been.
Gemma has had a crush on Savio since she was ten years old. Not just a simple crush: she fell totally and utterly in love with him the moment she set eyes on him.
“Some people don’t believe in love at first sight.
They say it’s only lust.
The first time I saw Savio Falcone, I fell for him, literally and figuratively, and not in lust either because I didn’t know what lust was.”
Despite Gemma’s constant attempts to catch Savio’s attention, the crush remained one sided for a long time.
A few years later Gemma could be very well considered the hottest girl in Vegas. A beautiful woman who knows how to fight in a ring and on top of it enjoys it is every man’s dream. Savio didn’t even realize when his feelings for his best friend’s sister changed, but one thing is for sure in his mind: Gemma is hot.
Despite his obvious attraction to her, he remains passive up until the point when he couldn’t stay away anymore. The announcement that Gemma is to be wed to one of his friends -Michelangelo- is like a kick to the gut for Savio. He’s not gonna allow that to happen. Gemma wants him, has always wanted him. And he is about to fight her soon to be fiancee for her hand, in order to give her everything she ever dreamed —and claim his prize.

.
“We both know she wants me, not you, Mick.”
“You could have asked me to back off and give her to you without a fight.”
I raised my eyebrows. “If you’d given her up that easily, you deserve her even less than I thought.”
.

.
Savio is one of the best fighters in the Camorra, apart from his brothers, so his win didn’t come as a surprise to anyone. When he secures Gemma for himself, though, he doesn’t show any intention of marrying her any time soon and giving up his manwhoring ways.
Gemma’s frustration to her fiancee’s cheating is evident, and leads her to ask the Capo of the Camorra -and Savio’s older brother Remo- for an annulment of the wedding.
Savio is shocked by her actions, but the wake up call comes later on. When the restaurant Gemma and her family work in gets attacked by the Bratva,
Savio is not ready to face the possibility that his girl might be dead.
Life without his Gem seems unbearable. The attack might be the wake up call he needed.

So Savio & Gemma’ story …
Gemma’s “secretly” in love with Savio since she was a child; Savio is a manwhore ergo nothing good can come by this.
*cursing like a sailman*
Okay i have to say it : i hate Savio, he is an an asshole for 70% of the book, and Gemma is quite annoying too. I thought, being a fighter, she would has been stronger, braver. I understand she grown up with certains values but damn ..
I think this book is the weakest in the Camorra Chronicles series.
Another wonderful book by Cora Reilly.
I loved the story of Gema and Savio. Mostly the first chapter where we have the relationships between a pretty young Gema and a teeager Savio. She’s fierce, sweet and infatuated with Savio and he tries to ignore her but when they grow up, things star changing for both of them.
Gema and Savio book is delicious. As always we have a good glipmse of how the other members of the Falcone family are doing and how they’re dealing with Savio’s new and different girl. All the characters are awesome to read. They’re all brilliantly described and the best is the interaction among them.
Awesome book!
Twisted Heart is a highly anticipated Story with Savio as the protagonist and her kitten Gemma was very eager to read it. Proving to be a different story when it comes to youthful love and a girl who likes physical combat in the mafia world which is not traditional. In this book we can see the family dynamics of the Falcones especially Savio’s behavior as an uncle having Nevio as a nephew and his special relationship with his niece Greta who is pure love.
Savio a young gangster, sexy, smart and womanizer who does not want to commit, but can not resist Gemma a young fighting woman educated in a traditional mafia family who is in love with from a young age who fought to be happy.
It is a book that leaves you wanting to know more about this couple and how they develop in the future.
Truth be told, I’m struggling whilst writing this review because I’m still not over this book. In true Cora Reilly style, she has yet again delivered another heartbreakingly amazing book which you will not want to put down even as you turn the last page.
Twisted Hearts is the fifth instalment in the Camorra Chronicles, and at this point, if you are new to this series I would highly recommend for you to start with Twisted Loyalties in order to fully understand and enjoy the story.
Truth be told, it wouldn’t be a Cora Reilly book without your emotions being all over the place and making you crave more.
We’re also introduced to a few new characters some who I am extremely intrigued and frankly a little scared about but,Twisted Hearts was another excellent read and has only left me craving for Adamo’s book now. If anything, I wish Twisted Hearts was a little bit more longer so we could explore a bit more of the Bull and Kitty but all in all, another great story and one you do not want to miss.
Gemma is the PERFECT heroine and nobody can convince me otherwise.
She refuses to be stepped on by anyone and when Savio decides he wants to attempt it, she walks away.
Out of all of Cora’s heroines, Gemma has to be my favourite and for that reason, this is one of my favourite books to read. Savio and Gemma’s love story doesn’t happen immediately, but the slow burn of their relationship is so beautiful.
SPOILER FREE REVIEW.
I honestly seat here right now writing this review in an absolute loss of words. I guess as everyone that has been following the Camorra Chronicles I had certain expectations for Savio’s book, don’t get me wrong since the first glimpse of Savio I knew he’d be my favorite, and Gemma? She had my heart since that first time she was shown in Twisted Emotions. So I had thought of soooo many ways this book could go, had so many scenarios playing in my head, and in the end the book went to the side I didn’t think it’d go. The book had my heart in such a tight grip that I found it hard to breathe a few times. I hated Savio so many times, and loved him so many more, but Gemma? I loved her from minute one, she was such a strong heroine and at the same time so fragile, I seriously love this girl. It’s hard to write a spoiler free review, there’s so many hints I want to put in here, but the main thing is: Cora blows my mind EVERY SINGLE TIME!!! I absolutely loved this book it explored the characters so well, I did expected more sex scenes, but that’s just me I’m addicted like that.
Be ready for a roller coaster of feelings, heart clenching moments, crying fits and moments so happy you’ll want to dance! THIS BOOK IS EVERYTHING! GEMMA AND SAVIO ARE EVERYTHING!!!
As I said above, I had high expectations for this book but I came out so much better than I had dreamed. SO MUCH FREACKING BETTER!!!
Cora: thank you so much for sharing you talent with us, the highlight of mos my days is when you release a new book, everything you write is gold, thank you so much for writing for us <3
*I received an advanced copy. I voluntarily reviewed this book. All opinions expressed are my own.*
Twisted Hearts
The Camarro Chronicles #5
By: Cora Reilly
*REVIEW*
I, like everyone else, patiently awaited Twisted Hearts. Then, one day, I opened my mail, and there was my very own advanced copy. Cue happy dance! Cora, you are the best! Seriously, thank you for this copy!
I’ve been sitting with my thoughts about this book for nearly ten days now. Yikes! Life happened! During this time, I have pondered and reread parts of the story, and I’ve come to this conclusion: The more time passes, the more I appreciate and value this book as something special. I know what you’re thinking. How can mafia fiction possibly be special? Well, it’s not about just the book. Do I love the story of Twisted Hearts? Let me think…of course I do! It’s a five star love, and I don’t give many of those.
Beyond the pages, I have gained an appreciation for an author and her ability to genuinely affect her readers. I think it’s a gift, a gravatis, if you will. I’ve come to know these readers as dedicated fans, as a support system, as a group who just really love this, and all the other, books of Cora Reilly. I know a lot of readers, and with a few exceptions, these are the most authentic of all. I happen to love this interconnectedness. There is a different special vibe about The Flamingos!
Now, the story-I think you most likely know the basic plot and the starring characters, so I won’t rehash that here. I had my doubts y’all-I really did-about this story maybe going off the rails. The surprises are the best part, although it may not seem that way at the time. Twisted Hearts causes you to feel real feelings, and that is a good thing. If a story isn’t heartbreaking/swoonworthy/frustrating/delightful/tragic/hilarious/joyful/despairing/lovely, then why read it? This book exposes Savio and Gemma at their most vulnerable moments and cuts to the core. I had a love hate relationship with Gemma and Savio. Her for being so naive and too sweet for way too long. Him for being a major jerk and just plain mean. It takes a lot, sometimes, to realize that destiny was right there all along, in your own backyard, and would run its course in due time. Savio and Gemma sure took their time in becoming truly grown up and smarter. Otherwise, the story has everything you would expect: angst, super heat, humor, anger, jealousy, betrayal, loyalty, family, duty and love. I loved every page, and I hope you will, too. If you haven’t already, read the whole series of The Camarro Chronicles. Every book is a great reading experience. Enjoy!
Wow!!! Fantastic story! I was so drawn to the characters! The innocence, the restraint, humor, made for one of those reads that stays in a piece of your heart! Just another amazing read by Cora!!
Dare I say Savio had the slowest burn romance yet?! I loved the burn and it made for a perfect storyline for Savio, whose man-whoring ways we’ve read about since the beginning of the Camorra Chronicles Books.
By the third chapter I knew I wouldn’t want to leave Savio and Gemma behind and by the end of the book I knew I’d gladly read another book about them. Cora has so much talent and always leaves me wanting more to each couples story.
This story was exactly what you’d expect for a playboy like Savio. Gemma is a perfect combination of fierce and innocent and the perfect fit for Savio even if the idea of settling down his promiscuous ways repulses him. Savio tried his best to fight it, but Ultimately, Gemma ropes her bull and he bends to play by her rules.
Savio is officially my favorite next to Remo. You are addicted to his charm right from the start and I’m with Gemma, she didn’t stand a chance of resisting him. Savio’s charm and swagger blended well with his cockiness. He definitely was unique like all the other Falcones.
Their relationship and chemistry was awesome. The author took me on an emotional rollercoaster and I didn’t want to get off it was so good. I just love the whole Falcone clan and I cannot wait to read what’s next.
This is the 5th book in the Camorea Chronicles and I recommend you read the first 4 first.
This book. Wow. It’s taken me a while to write this review because I’m still not over it. The wait was so worth it.
Twisted Hearts went in a completely different direction than I thought it would, but I loved it even more for it. It has easily stolen my favourite book of the year top spot. It had many highlights for me, the biggest being Gemma herself. She was everything I hoped for and more, and now my favourite heroine. She was strong and sassy, but also sweet. She held onto her beliefs no matter what, which is why she stole my heart most of all. I was so looking forward to seeing her and Diego’s relationship, and it delivered. He was the protective brother and it warmed my heart so much.
I’m not even going to pretend that Savio didn’t drive me completely insane in this book and there were many times when I wanted to scream and shout at him, but he’s Savio and I can’t help but love him. It was very much his way, he played by his own rules, but I was thankful to see he matured through the book. I’m so thankful that Cora didn’t try to change Savio for the sake of the book. He was unapologetically himself and I wouldn’t want it any other way, even if I was mad about it at the time.
Gemma and Savio are completely the most perfect people for eachother and it melted my heart, even if they went through a number of ups and downs.
This book was one giant rollercoaster of emotions. I’m still an emotional wreck now, but gosh, it was so worth it. You will laugh, cry and have your heart broken and put back together multiple times, but trust me when I say that it’s completely worth it in the end. I could rave about this book forever because it has well and truly stolen my heart. I can’t wait for you all to read it, and thank you Cora for such an incredible book. Now, I’m going to go cry over it again.
Twisted Hearts is a high-octane page-turner! A non-stop, action-packed and sexy ride that kept me begging for more!
Absolutely riveting savio and Gemma will own you heart and soul!
Twisted hearts WRECKED ME in the best possible way! I read in all in one setting Cora Riley is Queen of Mafia her words will leave you breathless!!
My heart was simultaneously pounding and melting Savio and Gemma story has me hooked from page one!
Savio is used to getting whatever or whomever he wants due to his looks, family name and charm. Gemma is his best friend’s sister and he can’t get her other than with a ring and trip to the altar. Gemma has always had a crush on Savio but he’s her brother’s friend. Savio is cocky and arrogant most of the time. He was willing to go the mile to have Gemma. I liked Gemma’s sassy, good girl character and that she didn’t take anything from Savio. The couple were a perfect match. A good read.
Twisted Hearts maybe my favorite book of the series! Cora Riley did amazing things with this book! Savio and Gemma’s story is amazing. Riley definitely went above with this book. I love alpha males who fall to their knees for the women they end up loving. I also love how hard they love. The more alpha, and dark they are the harder they fall and love. “This bull won’t ever be chained to one woman.” Famous last words. All of the Falcones are amazing but Savio has stolen my heart. I loved seeing Gemma grow in this book as well.
Twisted Hearts an amazing, epic 5 start read that leaves you needing more of Savio and Gemma. It took me by surprise in the best possible way. Everything about this book was perfect and like always has left me needing what Cora Riley is going to give us next now.
