Twisted Bonds features the after HEA of Nino and Kiara, Remo and Serafina of their respective books. Before reading this book you must read Twisted Emotions and Twisted Pride or this book won’t make sense and it has spoilers. I enjoyed the dynamics of the Camorra brothers relationship with the girls (Kiara and Serafina) and the kids. The book focuses on all the characters and is told from Nino and Kiara’s perspective.
I found this book like tying the lose ends. There are many additional scenes, if you remember the evil mother, Adamo struggling from torture unable to fit with the Camorra brothers heads, Remo and Serafina’s kids and Nino and Kiara’s fertility issue. I enjoyed Remo, Savio and Adamo’s interactions with Kiara. My most favourite part was Savio with the twins especially Nevio who is going to be mini Remo and how he shadows Savio all the time.
All the big family bonding makes it so nice to read. Adamo hasn’t grown on me yet, he is a teenager and we have yet to discover what mentality this Camorra brother is going to be. Most of the complications is solved but few more are yet to unravel.
“Nino cupped my face and pressed a gentle kiss to my lips. “You and my brothers are all that matters in this life. I want you close at all times, even if it’s only in name.”
What to talk about this book? Kiara and Nino for me, earned the status of best couple in the series in their first book, and here, on their return, the title still remains. With a plot beginning shortly after the end of Twisted Emotions and running in parallel with Remos’ book, we follow a little more of this dysfunctional Las Vegas family and the unconventional members. From the middle to the end of the book, the narrative presents new facts, featuring some surprises, twists, action, and the characteristic Falcone insanity.
Kiara is happy as she had not felt for a long time. With a large new family, she will gradually earn the trust of the brothers, and before they know it, they begin to care about her. Nino, on the other hand, is dealing with the recent release of his emotions, which for an extremely practical person, is a disconcerting fact to say the least.
But if married life goes well, the same cannot be said of the moods in the mansion. With a volatile and about to explode Remo, Savio and his carefree attitude and Adamo testing the limits, it is a matter of time before they turn on each other. But if the strength of the Camorra is due to the bond between the brothers, what will happen to them drifting apart? Nino will try to use logic to solve this problem. Kiara will use the heart.
Gradually we see Kiara strengthening and imposing herself, not afraid to confront Nino and even Remo for what she thinks is right, or even to protect them.
Accompanying the way Nino treats his wife, or the way his brothers protect themselves, and even the affection with Kiara and Fabiano, shows another side of these brutal men, who are not good people, but who care and cherish their family above all. The world they live in is violent, and the past has left its mark, but they still managed to get into my heart and settle down. It is impossible not to pity, understand or cheer for one of the Falcones. Even when they are annoying.
There is no way to delve into the narrative review, because the chance of spoiler is high. Many important things happen in the story. Kiara and Nino’s plot has a slight drama, but he supports her, not allowing her to sink into sadness. Adamo has a huge emotional burden, makes costly mistakes and his rebelliousness are putting him on a dangerous path. The story involving the brothers has its conclusion, but first old demons come back to life. The final part of the book left me in moments of tension and panic. Remo is overwhelmed with everything that is happening. And Nino with his recent feelings, can’t handle all the burden around him.
Remo and Nino are each other’s other half. The yin and yang. And it’s impossible not to cry with these two. In fact, Remo stars in the most dramatic scenes of the book. His conversation with Kiara is also very beautiful.
The book is wonderful. I am suspicious to speak because I am in love with the Falcones, but being able to accompany a little more of this family is priceless. The course of Adamo’s story intrigued me, I didn’t expect this crossover. With Las Vegas and New York approaching, Chicago is consolidating itself as the enemy. I don’t know where the series will go, and I think it’s unlikely the author will kill one of her Capos, but Dante is not in a good position.
May the next book come.
FIVE “CAMORRA STYLE” STARS(insert fireworks, cage fights, fast cars, and tattoos please!)
This book was, sorry, let me rephrase it, this book IS AMAZING!!! No one writes mafia romance as Cora Reilly does.
Kiara and Nino’s love story is one of a kind. When I first read Twisted Emotions earlier this year, Nino stole my heart! His and Kiki’s story was so different and yet enthralling but when it ended all I knew is that I needed more from them. When Cora announced they were going to get a second book, I screamed like a cheerleader; no joke, lol!
And if you thought TE was unique, holy hell, TWISTED BONDS is, in one word: EXTRAORDINARY. Thing is…Those Camorra men OWN my heart, damn it!
Cora has written an amazing follow-up story, one that gave even more relevance at least for me, to the Camorra Chronicles. Don’t get me wrong, I’ll always be a die-hard fan of the original series but I cannot lie and tell you that I prefer that one to this one(sorry, don’t judge me).
I don’t want to give any spoilers(that’s just RUDE), so I’ll keep it as spoiler-free as possible.
TB book starts right where TE ended. You will be able to see where Nino and Kiara’s journey as a couple takes them, you will get to know more about both of them and how they navigate through several and at times difficult situations. The only thing you should never doubt about them is the unconditional and profound love they have for each other…
Nino Falcone, he…Oh god! I hate spoilers, so I’ll just keep it simple and say that he is more, more than I thought who he was, more than I expected him to be, on this book you’ll be able to understand him a whole lot better. He will make you blush and fall in love with him all over again, you’ll see.
Kiara Falcone, she…I truly adore how Cora decided to develop her character on this new installment. You’ll be able to see her overcome her fears even more on this book. You’ll also see her relationship with Nino grow and flourish. And as well, she will establish unbreakable bonds with her brothers-in-law.
Speaking of Kiara’s brothers-in-law, our other three enchanting Falcone brothers; well you are definitely going to see more of them and what you are going to see…well, it will make you understand them, love them, feel for them, fall in love with them, get angry at them, and smile, they will make you smile. You’ll also see more of the other Camorra ladies and they…..well let’s just say they will turn things ON!
Final thoughts, I truly believe this is the best book from series because this one, has opened/created a whole new perspective(for me at least), we better to prepare ourselves for whatever it is Cora has in store for us. I can’t wait, I need more more more more from this incredible mafia world she has created and shared with us.
ARC provided by Cora Reilly and TheNextStepPR https://thenextsteppr.org for an honest review.
Editing is non-existent – I found about 30 errors in one book!
Editing throughout both series is deplorable but this one is just disappointing and disgusting- this is no better then a first draft – at least 30 errors I’ve reported for a 2nd time and they go unfixed by the author while she collects full price – I’ve never been more disgusted by an author’s behaviour as this has gone on and on throughout all her books – some worst then others and this one is BAD! I’ll place the errors on the bottom and maybe she’ll be ashamed enough to fix them! One can dream!
This is a complicated and compelling read. I have enjoyed the world the author created first in the Born in Blood series and now in the Camorra series. I have hated the sloppy shape some of the books were in. The author has obviously translated to English without having an English speaking proofer or editor. I proofed all the books and left the edits on goodread’s within the notes. The price of the books isn’t cheap and being constantly interrupted by wrong words, wrong tenses, missing words, bad grammar, etc was infuriating, especially when the story itself was terrific. This particular story does have edits, for sure, not as many as some of the other books so it was tolerable but to the author I would say: “it shows a great lack of respect for your English readers and for your own work to present it to your readers in a sloppy state. Editing is part of being an author and not a step to be missed. If you translate to another language and sell to readers for a good price they have a right to expect it has been properly and sufficiently edited/proofed in the language you are selling it in!”

I’m so glad Cora decided to write this book, I felt like Nino and Kiara’s story was incomplete, and this book concluded their story beautifully. NOTE: I would read the Camorra Chronicles’ previous books before reading this novel to avoid spoilers.
Book Review: Twisted Bonds picks up exactly where Twisted Emotions left off. We observe both these characters continuing to learn and grow as they work together to make their relationship work. Kiara grows as a character in this book, and we finally see her standing up for herself and overcoming her past. We also observe Nino continuing to struggle with his feeling and how he manages to eventually accept them. This novel also has some great family interactions: the interaction between the girls, the interaction between the brothers, but my favorite interactions have to be between Savio and Greta (his doll face). Towards the end of the novel, a lot happens, but this is why the Falcone’s are the best – no matter what, they always support and stick up for one another, and I loved seeing them all together as a family. I won’t give anything else away – you’ll have to read for yourself, but if you love mafia romances and big families, this is just the book for you.
It was really nice coming back to see ninokiara and the whole gang, and seeing remofinas story from their pov. I also really liked this book delved into Ninos past with their mother and the resolution to this was heartbreaking but really.showed how strong the bond was between the boys. Im really looking forward to Adamos book!
If there is a couple who stole the heart of the entire Mafia Fandom, this is Nino and Kiara. (#TeamNiara).
If in Twisted Emotions we met Nino and Kiara and saw them fight the demons of their past, they even managed a future together, in Bonds we are presented with a little more of their relationship, how they saw Serafina’s kidnapping, how it affected all the Adamo family, in one of the moments that the Falcone Family needs most Kiara deals with her own fears and difficulties, we have the past that comes back to haunt the Family and many tears, whether of joy or sadness.
whoever loves Falcones will love each chapter, the relationship that Kiara created with Nino’s brothers is something that hurts in the chest, it is so beautiful.
Kiara is almost like a Mother to them, all the Remo and Kiara scenes are hard to write … just perfect, Savio is also not left behind, we see the character maturing in a natural way, excellent book, one of the best.
#TeamNiara
This book is all about the falcone family and I love it! we have serafina and her babies finding their home, savio being the funniest uncle to the twins, remo and kiara having the best supportive relationship, the brothers doing their best to help adamo move on and kiara, after a lot of struggles and pain, realizing her dream to be mom (with a full of love nino next to her). I think it’s just perfect!
More Falcone’s? Sign me up!
ah this book was a dream come true. ever since twisted hearts finished i craved more Nino & Kiara. This book was everything I wanted and more.
The writing was beautiful as always. The best part of this book was the amazingly done character development. Many stories that i have read recently lack behind in this aspect but this one blew me away.
I am in love with Camorra. I am sure next time I’ll go to Vegas I’ll be on the lookout for the Falcone’s!
This book is mind blowing
All the feelings and love in this book
The relationship between the brothers
And the relationship between Remo and Kiara god
I love everything about this book
I was very happy to get back to Kiera and Nino, but this book did let me down a bit. I felt cheated reading about the same events from Twisted Pride in this one. I felt the book could have brushed over it more and not taken half the book. Since there is some overlap between Kiera and Nino’s conversations and the previous book, I do get some inclusion, but it could have been less. I would have been happy to have this one start when Adamo got captured.
Overall though, I am happy that Nino and Kiera got their happy ending. This was the ending I wanted for them. It doesn’t beat their first book though.
Twisted Bonds is the second book of my loves Kiara and Nino.
Nino and Kiara had already overcome a lot in there first book (Twisted Emotions). I was really curious to see what Cora could bring more to the table when it comes to these two. And she did not disappoint. When I found out there was a second book of Kiara and Nino I was kind of scared to pick it up. In my mind these two are perfect, but there story did felt unfished after there first book. The feeling that they had more to tell us was strong.
This books has more of a plot then twisted emotions (besides the romance). We see Kiara finding her place in Vegas. We see Kiara grow into the beautiful woman that she is. With and without Nino. In this book Kiara is more her own person. She lets her voice be heard more, again with or without Nino.
Overall Kiara and Nino are still easily my favorite couple.
What more can I say? This second apart from the story of Nino and Kiara was perfect, in this book we could see the dynamics that these two had with their marriage, removing burdens from the past to finally be happy.
A beautiful family
The continuation of Nino and Kiara’s story. A book I didn’t think I want but everything I needed!
In order to understand the storyline, it is necessary you read Twisted Emotions (Nino and Kiara) and Twisted Pride (Remo and Serafina).
Nino Falcone will do anything to protect Kiara. The man everyone thought had no emotions, is after all capable of the strongest feeling – love.
Kiara has grown to love the Falcone family. Those brothers would do anything to save each other. They value family above all. And now that Kiara’s a member of this family, they would do anything to protect her as well.
Nino tries to keep Remo’s actions hidden from Kiara so as to protect her, but an angel like Serafina can hardly be kept a secret. When Kiara finds out about the kidnapping of Serafina, thoughts from her sordid past resurface again.
Kiara is determined to make a good life for Nino and herself by starting a family. But as it turns out, the process is more difficult than she ever thought.
Once again, Kiara faces a dead end, the possibility she would never be able to become a mother.
Will Nino and Kiara get their happily ever after?
Well…. as happy as somebody can be in the darkness of the mafia world.
Cora Reilly Twisted Emotions Twisted Bonds (The Camorra Chronicles Book 4) I’ve read all The Born in Blood Mafia Chronicles and I was completely in love with the books, but then after reading The Camorra Chronicles they became my favourite among all the rest with no doubt I absolutely love all the brothers, couples and the plot of this books but Kiara and especially Nino did something to me. First on Twisted Emorions and now on Twisted Bonds, his problem with emotions got to me since is something I struggle myself with too so I was fully able to understand him on that, the way he tried so hard and did whatever was in his power to not hurt Kiara and how he was able to get better about his emotions with her and also the way she developed as well and how both where able to start their family and not linger on the past anymore is the best thing, Truly I just love everything the author Cora did with this couple.
I’m enjoying too much being part of Falcone Family
They are too funny to be mobsters or maybe my mind is more twisted than i thought LOL
In this chapter we find not only Nino & Kiara, but the whole crew
The book start from where we’ve been left with Twisted Emotions, so the first part is just a repetition of the Twisted Pride events but from the point of view of Nino and Kiara. It could have been boring if it weren’t for the adding of new details and scenes.
The second part is absolutely amazing: Nino & Kiara’ relationship grew stronger , and the family bond become deeper; but the family have to face Kiara’ longing for a child, Adamo’s problems,
and in the end even their past …
There’s something about these cruel and scary Made Men who go all protective with their women and children ….
You just can’t not love them
AAbsolutely wonderful. I love all the characters in Cora Reilly’s books and this one is no exception. That is what I enjoy the most. The portrait of every different character with his/her personality and how well they fit in the plot. Always being faithful to every character.
The emotions, the feelings and the points of view of Kiara and Nino in this book are awesome. They have to deal with new and hard situations and they are evolving with every decision they have to take. Not only is a wonderful mafia romance but also so much more. It explores the relationships, the insecurites, the longings, the fears, the doubts, the commitment, the trust, the deep feelings, the darkness, the intimacy and the love in a couple.
This series is different from the Born in Blood series but just as worthy, well written and captivating. Adamo, Nino, Savio, Remo, Fina, Fabiano, Kiara, Leona and the twins are delicious to read about. Definitely another five-star reading book by this author.
Who’s crying ???? You are… not me, I’m just a little alergic because it’s Spring.
Amazing. Book. Amazing STORY. Breathtaking story line…. Heartbreaking moment but Guys… You can’t miss Twisted Bounds.
Second Round with Kiara and Nino made me more sure – they are simply EVERYTHING. I couldn’t put this book down. Every paige made me feel so many emotions… After reading ‘the end’ I can only stare on the wall in front of my eyes… Twisted Bounds is not easy story. I cried so hard over Kiara, and Nino.amd other brothers. My heart hurt but from the other side it never were so.full.
ABSOLUTELY MUST READ title!
I love Nino and Kiara so much. This book was so precious and heartbreakingly sad. I adore all of these characters and their journey. Kiara really broke my heart. We could see her struggle with her trauma from the past. It still affected her deeply. Nino was amazing. He would do anything for Kiara. He really tried to give her everything she needed. They are so precious together. I loved Kiara’s relationship with the Falcone brothers. Especially Remo. I adore this family so much.
I had all the feels and could not stop reading this story. I’m so happy that Kiara could finally be a mother. She will love her boys to death.
Kiara and Nino are my favorite Cora couple EVER (yes, I said it), and this is the sequel to their story that we all wanted- and boy does it live up to what I wanted.
This is a continuation of Twisted Emotions and takes place in parts during Twisted Pride (awesome to get Nino/Kiara’s perspectives on what happened during that) and then builds on afterwards- so a) you need to read those books first and b) be prepared for the passage of more time in their first story. This reminds me a lot of Luca and Aria’s final book Bound by Love- we see the couple weather several events that happened in other books that we didnt’ get from their perspective, we get to see the aftermath of how they solidify as couple now that feelings are out in the open, and we get to see how they evolve around the characters around them, and we tie up some loose ends all over a longer period of time (this one doesn’t span as much time as Bound by Love, however).
The book starts right where Nino and Kiara’s story ended and with the kidnapping of Serafina. We get to see how this really impacted Kiara (which we figured it would given her history), we see how Kiara and Nino settle into their love, and we get to see Kiara’s relationships with all the brothers and Serafina. (and don’t get me wrong, i LOVE Serafina and she’s the perfect match for Remo and she may be the mafia queen but at the end of the day the queen of the Falcone house is Kiara- her connections with each brother, including Remo are heart warming and adorable). Kiara continues to get more comfortable with herself and the family, while still caring for everyone, and we see Nino shift his priorities to his new world’s center, Kiara.
We have loads of ups and downs- several surprise, including a big climax (not a pun) that I wasn’t expecting – but one in which shows the true evolution of Kiara as part of the Falcone tribe and one that tests the loyalty and love they have for her as their family member.
Plus, we get bonus Savio and twin content- the icing on the cake.
I loved every minute of this book, and it is right up there with Twisted Emotions as my all-time fav books (yes, bumped Bound by Honor and Bound by Love down on the list!)- dont worry, all 4 are permanently on the kindle rotation for re-reading. Thank you, Cora, for giving us more Kiara and Nino- their story moves my soul.
