In the power struggle between two elite groups, one feisty girl will bring them to their knees… hands.
But the man I love refuses to let me go, and he’s hell-bent on protecting me at all costs.
Except he’s far too late.
Kaiden’s betrayal fuels the anger flowing through my veins, and now our roles are reversed—I’m the hunter, and he’s my prey. I enjoy torturing him, lying to him, and letting him believe in false truths that were never our reality.
Until the stakes are raised, and I’m forced into playing their game again. Only this time, it’s not just my life hanging in the balance.
I thought he’d done his worst. That he didn’t have the power to hurt me anymore.
But I was wrong.
His depravity knows no bounds, and now, he’s taken everything from me.
This time, it means war, and I’m taking no prisoners.
This is book two of three and it’s not a standalone read. Due to mature content and themes, this series is only recommended to readers aged eighteen and older. 97,000 words in length and ends on a cliffhanger.

What the what was that?? My heart was beating so fast throughout this entire book that I thought I was going to have heart failure…If you thought the first book was intense, you haven’t seen anything yet. All the secrets, betrayals, plot twists and emotion run so much stronger in this one and I seriously devoured it. Anytime I had to set it down, made me anxious until I could pick it back up.
This is no way, shape or form a standalone so if you haven’t read the first book yet, stop and do it now. With the third book coming, you will want to make sure your ready. I really hope that the next book gives us some redemption for Kai and Abby because dang do this two deserve a break.
If you haven’t guessed yet, I highly recommended this series and think you would be doing yourself a disservice by not reading it!!
I think I enjoyed reading this book. I actually give it 4.5 stars or so….mainly because, despite the well crafted creation of this unique literary world, this book is still somewhat of a hard read to stomach. The bullying in this book is epic, and most women included in this story suffer brutality only because they are broken by the ‘elite’ men in their lives. Romance is involved, and there are several steamy scenes, but prepare yourself to experience hardship and defeating loss right alongside the females in this story.
Holy cow!! Like, I have no words for this book! I just need book 3 like now! This book is amazing! This whole series is !
It’s okay to pick your jaw off the ground now. I know, I know, I haven’t been able to pick mine up yet. The second installment of the Ryderville High Series will make you cry (so grab your box of tissues), you might also want something you can throw (cause throwing your tablet isn’t really and option, and I’ve been known to throw my books when the story hits a critical part).
I should know better than thinking I have Siobhan figured out. She is a true wordsmith and when you think you have her story figured out, it takes an unexpected turn.
Twisted Betrayal does just that. It picks up from right from where Cruel Intentions leaves off. I don’t know how much more poor Abby can take. I just hope that Kai will pull his head outta his rear and get his act together long enough to help her.
I seriously can not wait for the next book. I just have to know how this story is going to play out.
Siobhan knows how to spin a story and I can’t wait to read more books from her in the future. **I voluntarily reviewed an advance complimentary copy of this book.**
Twisted Betrayal is the second book in the Rydeville High Elite book, continuing the story after the cliff-hanger of Cruel Intentions. It’s another Siobhan Davis book I completed in a single sitting, although it’s not one that I will label a favourite.
In truth, I fear I’m in the minority with this series. Although I’m finding it addictive, I’m not loving it in the way I usually love books from Siobhan Davis. To me, the series is trying too hard to be shocking. Siobhan Davis does angst wonderfully, and always throws in twists and turns, but with this one we’re sacrificing such things to have drama that feels forced. In some ways, it feels as though these books are working through a checklist of things that are popular in the genre at the moment, working predominantly to tick all the boxes. Many will love the series because it has so much of what is popular right now, but it just doesn’t feel like the usual Siobhan Davis to me.
I think the main reason for my somewhat cynical view is because I cannot connect with any of the characters. We’re told about the romance between the leading characters, but I do not feel it. Everyone is going on about the chemistry, but I’ve yet to see signs of it. Moreover, it felt like we had some serious personality transplants in this book. I understand how events can change people, but it felt like we were reading different characters with this one. It just threw me somewhat.
Despite this, as I’ve said, I was addicted. At first, I wasn’t sucked into it. Then, once the story got moving, I powered through it. There were some aspects that felt forced and unnecessary, specific scenes that I wasn’t crazy about, but as a whole I enjoyed where the story was going. There were plenty of new elements introduced, giving us answers to prior questions whilst giving us new things to think about. It’s very much a book that leaves you desperate for answers, for resolution, so you can finally know who can and cannot be trusted.
Although not my favourite Siobhan Davis read, Twisted Betrayal has me curious to see how the next Rydeville High Elite book plays out. I’m curious to see how everything comes together and am crossing my fingers Siobhan Davis will have me loving the final book in the way I usually love her books.
I don’t even know where to start with this review, normally I will finish a book and write the review before I forget everything and I like to get down how I feel at the moment but with this book I couldn’t I needed to take it what I had actually read.
This story goes beyond what I could imagine, when you think one thing then the total opposite happens. This story basically picks off from where the first one finished off with Abby being kidnapped and see what happened to her in the time since that happened.
I didn’t think this storyline could get anymore out of control than the first book but was I wrong, this book just kept pushing the boundries and there are somethings in here that are just so wrong but keeps the story interesting and you don’t want to put this book down, you think the young Elite are going to take down the old Elite and it all just keeps getting mixed up and no one is safe in this story.
I feel sorry for Abby she is one tough character and sometimes you want to bang her head agains’t the wall but you can understand why she is the way she is, there is no one she trusts and the things that happens to her breaks my heart but holy hell this book had me in all sorts.
Kai I wasn’t sure what to think about him but as the book went on you could see his good side, he is possessive and angry a lot but this whole group of teenagers need to bring down the big boys and its is frustrating that they can’t get anywhere. I loved all the characters again in the book, Sawyer, Drew, Kai, Maverick and Jackson he made me laugh as usual.
There were times I was like oh hell no this can’t be happening there were times I just wanted to cry for Abby there were times when It go a little hot and steamy this book had everything and I can’t believe that book 2 in the series was just as good as book one.
If you’re loving the Bully genre and want a book with an amazing storyline that has you hot, on the edge of your seat and just keeps you entertained and not wanting to put the book down, you need to read this book and if you started started the series as yet its a must, this is one of my favourite Bully reads.
4.5 Twisted stars
In a twisted world where men are part of secret elites that control everything with violence, sex and power… In a world where women are just play tools and beautiful decorations… there is only one girl who will not give up or be afraid of anyone.
“we’re in a fight-or-die world, and I’ll always fight.”
From the first book, Abigail (Abby) didn’t let anyone disrespect her. Not to her family, not to her ex and certainly not the new elite bullies who came to her school… so just imagine what happens when you add hormones to her “bad-ass” behavior! You go girl!!!
“Men are so fucking pathetic.
It’s ironic that bastard thinks women are weak because we’re ruled by our emotions, when men are definitely the weaker of the two sexes, because they’re completely ruled by their dicks.”
OMG, it is so hard to write this review without giving away spoilers! So I’ll just say that this story continues from where the first book ends.
After that crazy ending, I couldn’t wait to dive in, and I have to admit that the beginning was a bit slow- and I was worried the whole book will be like this.
Until…
AHHHHHH!!!
If I thought everyone was crazy before, now I realize it’s just the tip of the iceberg!
Listen guys, Siobhan Davis has a twisted mind!!! I’m kinda scared of her right now…
Lies, secrets, betrayals… and fucking hot chemistry that almost made my ovary explode!
“Just so you know, I’m not giving up,” he whispers. “You can push me away. Bait me. Lash out at me . Do your worst. And I’ll take it. Because I deserve it. But I’m going nowhere, Abby.”
Abby and Kaiden continue to fight- against their enemies and each other. The difference is, unlike before where there were so many people to be warned from, this book has one clear enemy, one that will make everyone unite against.
“You’re not my enemy, babe, and I’m not yours. We have enough of them without turning on one another.”
Even though this book was less surprising than the first one and felt a bit too “mature” for 17-years-old characters, you should prepare yourself for a huge blast… because the third (and last) book is going to be EPIC!!!!!!
“He has always underestimated the women around him.
It’s time to show him he’s underestimated me for the last time.”
PS, I would love if you could light a candle at night in your window and give a prayer to the book gods for me, so the book on Jackson will come out faster. Thanks!
***I voluntarily reviewed an advance complimentary copy of this book.***
Oh hell bombs have been dropped in this book! (not literally of course) I actually think this is my newest favourite book. It was nearly midnight when I finished and I couldnt put it down all evening. I’ve bitten all my nails off from the sheer intensity in this book. I hope the retribution that’s coming to those who deserve it, is epic in the next book.
DREAMY’S REVIEW
Twisted Betrayal is book two in the Ryderville High Series and I cannot tell you how highly anticipated this book was for me! The minute it drop into my Kindle, I HAD to read it! The ending to book one had me at the edge of my seat, waiting on pins and needles, and let me tell you… this book made me feel the same way, but more intensely!
WHAT THE FUCK JUST HAPPENED?! Seriously, fucking SERIOUSLY! Just when you think Siobhan Davis pulled some twists and turns, you are taken on the ride of your life with Twisted Betrayals!
This book right here… NO. FUCKING. WORDS!
Filled with so many lies, so much deceit, deception, betrayal, and heartbreak! I cannot tell you how disgusted I am by a certain or rather certain characters, and I don’t know who deserves to be throat punched more! I can’t even explain to you how enraged I felt while reading and just jaw-dropped!
The story line and plot just continues to get more complex and twisted, Siobhan Davis truly knows how to weave a tale full of everything you want in romance with darkness. I was hanging on every single word until the very last page!
I loved Abby and Kaiden’s growth, but truly, Abby took the spotlight! My heart broke for her, but I know just how strong-willed she is, and I admired her so much for it!
There’s something about Kaiden and I have such a spot for him, this book just made me love him more than I already did! He is so fucking swoon worthy and the way he loves so fiercely, GAH! I can’t even with Kaiden!!
The one thing I love between these two is the constant push and pull! There were so many moments where these two shared so much, even in the smallest moments, but they were so impactful. It made me love with them even more!
By the end of the book though, I didn’t know who to trust and still don’t know!! This series is a serious addiction, and like an addict, I NEED MORE! Just when I thought I knew what was happening, Davis truly threw me in for a loop! I am eager, needy, and pleading for book three because I am WTF?! Siobhan Davis is the QUEEN of cliffhangers!!
Book three is going to be so fucking epic, I just know it!
Five dark and twisted stars:
This book is soooo good. I am in love with this series!!!! So much happens that anything i say can be a spoiler…. So I will just say that this series is by far my favorite series that i have ever read, you go through every single emotion while reading this book…. Siobhan you are aamazing!!!!!
This series is unlike any I have ever experienced! Each book is an intricately woven masterpiece with an explosive cliffhanger that leaves you thirsting for more.
The character development and relationship building between the leads in this second instalment was incredible! Their romance is one for the ages. You can feel the depth of their love and sizzling hot chemistry as you blitz through the pages of this extremely addictive story.
The secondary characters are so well fleshed-out, be it through their loyalty and unselfishness in some cases, and their cunning, evil and deranged nature in others. This chapter of the Rydeville High Elite saga will give you all the feels – angst, horror, excitement, amusement, betrayal, deception, exhilaration, heartbreak – and keep you second guessing almost everyone’s true motives. As you near the end you can’t help but wonder just how much more soul-crushing pain, heartache and torture can a person bare before completely breaking? But most people aren’t Abigail Manning.
I hope when our brave and fierce heroine Abby finally gets her revenge it is incredibly sweet, and every bit as rewarding as her story has been for me to read!
I voluntarily reviewed an advance complimentary copy of this book and rate it 5/5 stars! Bring on October – I NEED more! Thanks so much Siobhan, you are amazing.
I received a free copy of this book which I voluntarily chose to write an honest review for.
Siobhan is the reason I continue with my KU subscription, but I also purchase the books separately. This is without a doubt her best work. There’s a step up in maturity, depth of scene and character, and also grit. There hasn’t been a book of Siobhan’s I haven’t enjoyed but this is a 10 star book.
Abby develops more in herself, Kai’s layers are continued to be peeled back. This book isn’t rushed, the characters all continue with development but twists and turns evolve. Shocking events happen to our characters but not unexpected to be honest. You think you interpret it one way but as the story evolves you find out Siobhan has led you down a dark path.
Enjoyable, mature and expert story telling. Throughly impressed
Fucking A!!! I can’t even….WTF???
WHAT DID I JUST READ???
I’m so overwhelmed. I didn’t think, after the first book in the series, that I could be more on edge, but it just got worse.
How come someone can write such twisted, gripping, fascinating, sick words?
I CANNOT WAIT OVER A MONTH FOR THE THIRD BOOK, I JUST CAN‘T!!!,
Twisted Betrayal continues exactly at that part where we left of in Cruel Intentions. What Abby is going through, I have no words. She’s so strong and Siobhan makes her so likable, I’d like to be her friend and take down all these sick villains with her together!
I loved the appearance of Faye and Kyler and James and I love, love, LOVE the chemistry between Kai and Abby.
The Author created yet another outstanding story with all that I’m craving as a reader. Thrill, excitement, secrecies, unbelievably heartbreaking scenes, and so much more. I’m in total awe of all of it.
I’m so incredibly intrigued by what will happen and how Abby will get her revenge. Will Kai get his, too? Is there a future for the both of them?
So many thoughts running through my head and all I can do is guess. It’s excruciating to have to wait.
If you’re in search for an epic love story with all the twists and turns and the in betweens, READ THIS SERIES. But be warned, there‘s a major cliffy at the end of each book. Don’t say I didn’t warn you, but it’s so, so worth it.
Siobhan Davis never ceases to amaze me with her writing! You go girl!!!
Ahhhhhh what a clutter mind f#@&! Wow just OMG wow. As more of the story is played out and life in Rydeville and more info about Parkhurst comes to light it will have have you jaw dropping utterly mad. Seriously, how can one vile evil ugly man have such a twisted perspective and to top it off he would do anything to get his way and have power over everything. Needless to say I am feeling hard emotions from all angles when it come to Abby. There were many moments where my heart broke into pieces over her and what she is going through and the life she will have to endure if things do not change stat.
On the flip side, the chemistry between Abby and Kai is off the charts are HOT; however, because of their predicament they cannot be together. I am sooo rooting for this relationship but this world is too corrupt and being together can get one or both of them killed. The trust issue is such a huge challenge in this series and it had me needing to take breathers here and there especially with her twin Drew, her best friend Xavier, her fiancee Charlie, Jackson, and Sawyer…where it will question what their real motives are. Actions speak louder than words and it will have you head spinning on what is really going on.
Once again we are left with a cliffhanger that will leave you on the edge of your seat. Soooooo much was said and done that will have your blood boiling to new heights. It left me speechless of such disturbing reveals and broken because she is about to do something that will make or break her even more at the end. I have no doubt its going to get much more uglier as we get into the third book. Looking forward to seeing how it will all play out.
I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book. Oh good lord sweet baby Jesus. This book is everything, it has an amazing plot and Abby, God I love her. She literally has no control or power but not once does she give up. She knows she has to do it alone and I love her for her fierceness. I love how caveman Kai is, and how Abby throws it right back. I’m not sure I’ve ever loathed a villain quite like her dad. He’s basically Satan and I want him to suffer greatly. I can’t wait for this next book I really hope Abby’s vengeance gains some traction because so many people need to pay. I want her as a one man wrecking crew saving those who she wishes and torturing those who don’t deserve it. So many feels!! Ugh and Jackson
P.s. I ship Xavier and Sawyer
WOW… Siobhan Davis always knows how to write incredible stories that leave you thinking about them long after you finish. I want more and am chomping at the bit for the next book!
OK, one word – WTF?!? Now that I’ve gotten that out of the way, I’ll make this short because I don’t want to spoil even though I’m dying to do a long, chatty review so I can talk about this crazy, twisty series. Abby and Kai are together again, but it’s different, their circumstances are different, and Abby’s got different things in her heart this time. The question is, who will come out on top? Will Abby get her revenge? The revenge she so freakin deserves?!?
God, this series has me going nuts! I hope the next book is the conclusion, because after all the crazy stuff that has gone down, I’m ready for Abby to get her happily ever after. Twisted Betrayal continues in the same fashion as Cruel Intentions, with more twists, more secrets, more intense craziness, lots of sexy times, and one hell of a doozy of a cliffhanger. I am dying here, I want Sweet Retribution on my Kindle, now!!
ARC via Social Butterfly PR.
This book just completely destroyed me! I can’t believe all Abigail and Kai have to go through. I love them. There is still so many secrets. Everytime you think it’s the end there’s more. This is such a great story. Words can’t Express my feelings right now!
Bully Romances are a new addition to my reading material and I must say, i’ve become hooked. I loved Cruel Intensions which started me on this path, I thought it was amazing…Twisted Betrayal has also blown me away and left me reeling with a monster book hangover!
All my favourites from Book 1 are back. As with Book 1, there are some amazing dialogue scenes between characters, which will leave you as twisted up in knots, as the book’s title entails. Abbie and Kai – oh my!
Twisted Betrayal continues on from the Cruel Intensions cliff hanger. This book has knocked all the breath from my lungs, and left me feeling like my heart was pounding out of my chest. I have wanted to throw my kindle across the room, at a number of points during this book – the shear stress and emotion….how? why? OMG….NO! Were but some of the phrases flashing through my head….
Having finished this book, I now need to take an emotional lie down in order to recover. Siobhan Davis manages to do it every time, pull out every emotion, swirl it round and throw it straight back at you. Fantastic follow up…..now all I have to do is wait for the finale…..will I have any finger nails left?! Sweet Retribution is definitely in order!
Mind-blowingly good book!!! After reading this book I am sitting here totally in shock! If you thought the first book was messed up it has nothing, I repeat nothing on this book. The drama, mind games and cruelty have you sitting there screaming in your head “WTH is going on?” Just when you think Abby and Kai finally have their crap figured out, BAM!! Plot-twist! There are some truly evil and cruel people in this book. I can’t wait for the third installment!!
