In the power struggle between two elite groups, one feisty girl will bring them to their knees… hands.
But the man I love refuses to let me go, and he’s hell-bent on protecting me at all costs.
Except he’s far too late.
Kaiden’s betrayal fuels the anger flowing through my veins, and now our roles are reversed—I’m the hunter, and he’s my prey. I enjoy torturing him, lying to him, and letting him believe in false truths that were never our reality.
Until the stakes are raised, and I’m forced into playing their game again. Only this time, it’s not just my life hanging in the balance.
I thought he’d done his worst. That he didn’t have the power to hurt me anymore.
But I was wrong.
His depravity knows no bounds, and now, he’s taken everything from me.
This time, it means war, and I’m taking no prisoners.
This is book two of three and it’s not a standalone read. Due to mature content and themes, this series is only recommended to readers aged eighteen and older. 97,000 words in length and ends on a cliffhanger.

Woah…
This book has left me gutted and heart broken and feeling sick to my stomach .
It’s intense … man I’m not even sure that’s the right word for it .
It’s dark and gritty and so so heart breaking around every corner .
I absolutely devoured this book , I cannot get enough and Even though I am left feeling empty at the end of this one I am also hopeful and praying praying praying there’s a HEA of some sort at the end of this because it’s so difficult to see how … I’m 100% behind Abby winning her fight and hope she doesn’t lose too much more in the process .
Hard to explain with out given too much away but the writing of this story is exquisite it flows perfectly with depth of emotion and character development and twist and turns in the story that despite you thinking you know what might be coming there’s still surprises .
I’m just left reeling and so glad the next book is already out because there’s no way I can stop here…..
I don’t think I have ever been this angry because of a story in my life! That cliffhanger ripped my soul out! I now know what Abby was feeling in those moments. Geez! This story is good and keeps you gripping the edge of your seat, but seriously! My soul won’t recover from this.
I am not even sure who I hate more, whether it be Hearst or Barron. Ugh, I just decided I hate them both equally. But I do hope Kai and Drew make it out of this alive.
The third book has to be the most pain inflicting. I hope Abby pulls through with her promise..
Well I thought I was dead after reading Cruel Intentions. I had no idea what dead meant until this book. Siobhan Davis is weaving an epic, dark piece of art that has completely consumed me. The secrets just keep getting darker and darker. You don’t know who to trust. The plot is very fast paced. I can’t wait for the rest of this story.
OMG! Just when I think Abby’s father can’t sink any lower he sinks to the lowest of low. The things people will do for money and power is utterly discussing. This story is so dark and disturbing, it make makes you want to reach in grab those evil men and give them a taste of their own medicine. I really hope the Authors concludes the story with them suffering far worse then they did to so many innocent people.
Totally didn’t see the twists and turns. Kept you reading page after page. Sexy characters that kept you wanting more.
Book 2 picks up right where book 1 ends seamlessly taking you back to where battle lines were drawn and Abby was betrayed in the worst way – that ‘man’ does not deserve the name ‘father’, his evil knows no bounds – can things get any worse for her, is Kaiden really her enemy?!
I can’t wait to see how this concludes!
So just like book 1 I was completely drawn into book 2 and couldn’t put it down! If you thought book 1 was full of twist and turns then be prepared to dive into even more. I am rooting for Abby so hard after that bomb of a cliffhanger and ultimate betrayal she has had to endure. I hope book 3 she gets her revenge and fu*king teaches everyone (especially her evil “father”) to never underestimate a woman’s scorn and strength! Please let Abby and Kaiden have the HEA!!!
I want to say so much more but don’t want to give any spoilers! If you haven’t started this series yet DO IT!! Be prepared for a emotional roller coaster! I don’t know how Siobhan does it!! Every book I’ve read of hers completely sucks you in and leaves a forever impression on your mind, heart and soul like no other!
I want to kill for Abby!! I want to seek revenge!! Siobhan has done an AMAZING job of pulling you into this deep dark cavern of pain, betrayal and depravity. As far as “middle books” go, it couldn’t have been any better!!
So, so many triggers!! This story is not for everyone!! BUT WHAT A STORY!!!! I finished this in one day and can not wait to see how Abby will exact her revenge on the people who she is supposed to be able to trust most in the world, but not her world. A world where nothing is as it seems.
Where do I even begin honestly? This book exceeded my expectations on so many levels. Kai and Abigail deserve to be happy and Abby’s father and all the others who have hurt her should be taken down. I mean I cried so much with this book. Then in the end I was beyond livid I almost threw my phone. But I can’t wait to read the ending and see how this series ends. Siobhan’s books draw you in and keep you hooked till the very end.
I read this book in one day because I couldn’t put it down. I ignored everyone around me while reading and even put my earbuds in so I wouldn’t distracted. This series is definitely not for the faint of heart.
OMG! This series is crazy! I so didn’t see that coming… now I am sure I hate Charlie too! AH!!!!! This series is causing me to have panic attacks. I love Kai and Abby! That scene with Jackson, Kai, and Abby was smoking!
Bloody hell, I was NOT expecting that! A lot darker than I was expecting but a great read if you love a good dark romance! (which I do)
So much stuff happening in each chapter that it is impossible to put down! I loved it. I don’t want to write too much about the characters\storyline because I don’t want to spoil anything for anyone, but my god! Poor abby.. I hope she gets her happy ending
Another amazing cliff-hanger, I can’t wait to read the next one!
Siobhan Davis has done it again. I never thought that I would like a book that essentially has a psychopathic/evil father and generally is a story about all different types of bullying with a romance woven into it. The stories in this series are so INTENSE. Ms Davis weaves a tale that sucks you right in and makes you want the heroine to succeed in her desires. Abigail Manning has had a horrible life since her mother died in a car wreck when she was about 5 years old. Her father despises females except for the basest of “duties” and his daughter is no exception. Abigail (Abby) has been trying to get out from underneath her father’s rule for years. She’s in her final year of high school and oh so close to getting there when “the shit hits the fan” and all her plans are for naught. This girl has been through more than any one person should have to, in order to survive. The “sperm donor” as she refers to her father is an abomination and in my opinion a sub-species with no humanity whatsoever. He loves only himself, his power, and his money. In this story Abby tries to come to terms with what her father has done to her and to learn to trust some of the people around her that are all trying to save her. This is a beautifully written tale despite the subject matter. Ms. Davis really knows how to keep the reader “on the edge of their seat”.
Ok this needs like a million stars.. This book is just WOW… I am still trying to process it…
This book is seriously intense.. so many secrets revealed, more betrayal, people not who you think they are.. my heart went out to Abby and Kai.. what happened to Abby gutted me. I felt for them both with the tremendous losses they were going thru. But that ending OMFG!! What the Hell!! Now I have to oh so patiently wait for the next one..
But on a side note.. it was great to see some OTHERS from another amazing series this author has written about…
Thank you for the amazing read… now on to waiting…
Abby is in trouble. She’s been kidnapped, drugged, held prisoner. She’s lost everything. So when an offer of help comes, she accepts it even though she no longer knows who she can trust. It doesn’t even matter. All that matters is revenge. Except that each time she believes she has a chance, a tiny bit of control, she is put in her place. She is shown just how perverse the world she lives in is; just how evil her father truly is. He nearly destroyed her. He should have because as long as she’s breathing, she will not give up. And this time she’s not alone.
I have never anticipated and dreaded a book as much as I did this one. Siobhan took me to places I never expected to go. I was exhilarated, frustrated, infuriated, and devastated. Eating didn’t matter. Sleeping wasn’t important. All that mattered were the words on the page. I thought long ago that Siobhan had lost the ability to shock me. I was so wrong. The darkness in this book is shocking, horrifying, addictive. It is magnificently obscene and I was like Alice falling down the rabbit hole stumbling my way through this foreign world. Unlike Alice, I didn’t fall in, I dove in headfirst. I became a willing witness and ally to Abby. I suffered alongside her and willed her strength when it seemed more than she could handle.
It’s not all sheer torment. There are stolen moments of pure joy. There are heartfelt, poignant moments. Still, the tension never lets up. You know the precious moments are fleeting. You will read with a knot in your stomach, waiting, always waiting. The suspense is palpable and lasts until the blessed/cursed cliffhanger. You know it’s coming. You even anticipated parts of it. But you never guessed everything. It may leave you gasping, screaming, even cursing. You may frantically check to see if another page will magically appear. You will not be happy; you will need more. This book is so good it will nearly overwhelm you. It will consume your thoughts and your emotions. If you’re like me you will come away thinking that Abby and Cam must find a way to be together. The elite must be destroyed. There must be revenge, justice, and the HEA. How many days until Sweet Retribution?
This book continues without those happy feelings you might presume in a young adult story but instead we have some questionable behavior toward Abigail “Abby” Heart-Manning. Those that have issues with the treatment of women/children or are trying to deal with their own demons may want to tread lightly when reading this book. Even though this is a story of high school students, in no way is this book for teens and young adults.
It’s very easy to see that Abby doesn’t like how she’s been treated. Kaiden “Kai” Anderson is harder to figure out since our impressions are based on Abby’s feelings. Her family continues to be far from normal. This would fit in perfectly with any of the teen themed series that are currently out there. We have plenty of complex characters and there’s plenty of emotion, I wouldn’t say this a bully romance, and the romance is certainly hard to see – at least at the beginning. There’s a bully for sure but he’s an adult who happens to have a connection to Abby.
This story seems to be more about revenge and doing everything possible to put an end to what started in Cruel Intentions. If you’re picking up the series with this book – stop, don’t pass Go. You need to go back and read Cruel Intentions first. You need to see how Abby was in that book in order to appreciate how much she’s grown into a young woman who’s just trying to survive and looking for a way to get out of her current situation. But watch out because she’s gotten very good at manipulation.
The author continues with the twists and turns she started previously. She also continues to do a very good job at guiding our way so that won’t feel lost. But it’s like a puzzle where you can’t seem to get some of the pieces to fit. We have the same issue as previously because we hit another dead end but this time I’m left with my mouth open.
I was not compensated nor was I required to write a positive review. The opinions I have expressed are my own.
This is a stomach twisting, furry inducing, screamfest of a book that once again leaves me dying to know what happens next. I don’t know if I have been as angry or disgusted while reading a book! I needed more! You must suspend all reality and go with it. It is over the top Soap Opera that manages to be hot as along with every other emotion. It’s messed up.
Lies. Evil. Betrayal. Hate. Love. Sex. Heartbreak. Revenge.
It’s too much! Kai and Abby have an insane relationship that should not work. After book one, I should HATE Kai, but I don’t.
More than anything I want these vile, despicable creatures called The Elite to become immortal so they can suffer for all eternity!
Abby’s father is the cruelest, most perverted…I can’t even think of words to describe his evil….history’s great dictators appear to have more humanity/decency than this man!
Then Charlie. I don’t know what the hell to think. I can’t deal with him now!
There are so many things I need to happen in this final book!! Please let them happen, or this whole series will have been an emotionally draining waste of time and energy! I will take away all the stars!
Holy Hell! What did I just read? Siobhan Davis has floored me once again with the second book in her Rydeville High Elite series Twisted Betrayal. Page one starts with an abundance of angst, betrayal, loathing, loving and heartbreak and with each page it gets more sinister and steamier. Oh, but the hot love that is between Kai and Abby is out of this world. There are so many twists and turns I swear I have whiplash! Damn this was a good book and I hate that I can only give it 5-stars because it deserves way more. Kudos! Siobhan Davis and I can’t wait for book three, Sweet Retribution due for release in October.
Escaping from a shootout at her surprise unwanted engagement party Abby Manning is literally running for her life. Now it’s weeks later and she has no clue where she is and what has happened to her, but she is going to knock down anyone that gets in her way as she tries to escape. Once free she has only one thing on her mind and that is punishing everyone that has betrayed her. Abby can only go along and play her part as her roles keep changing and she is shuffled from one set of evil hands to the next. Kaiden Anderson knows he only wants to get Abby back and he’s ready to go against anyone that stands in his way including his father. With some great friends and some old allies Kaiden will do whatever it takes to get back at those that have come between him and the girl he loves.
Every kind of dramatic element you expect to find in a novel, you will find it here: infidelity, domestic violence, murder, mayhem, abuse of power, child abuse, kidnapping, betrayal, complot for domination, you get it all in this story. This book is chockful of action, machination, and an incredible will to survive that motors the plot and the characters towards freedom. It’s a real page-turner, with a low thrum of suspense all the time.
It all starts with a kidnapping. Abby is kidnapped and spends some time in captivity in a sort of clinic. Because she’s so clever and conniving, she gets out. Her father was her captor and Charlie her rescuer. In the first book she was engaged to Trent; now in this book, she’s forced to be engaged to Charlie. Her father and his cronies have some sort of complot for power and they need Abby’s shares in the company, inherited from her mother, and upon marriage, transferred to her husband. Hence his use of his daughter as a bargaining tool.
Even though she loves Kaiden, she has a hard time forgiving him his latest betrayal, which was hiding from her his true identity and his purpose in their town. In the previous book he started as her unknown lover, then he morphed into her bully at school (vicious as hell), then they sorta make up and are loving each other but hell breaks loose again and there’s a big to do with guns and escapes and Abby’s kidnapping at the end of the first book.
Poor Abby is working tirelessly for her freedom from her family, from the town, and from this dark fraternity where they engage in sordid activities, all to foster their power machinations. It’s a dark and treacherous world and it’s very difficult to get away. She has been betrayed by almost everyone in her circle of friends and enemies, even her lover Kaiden and her twin brother Drew. Charlie, who was her only friend and seemingly gentle is now arising as a conniving tool too. Eventually she makes peace with their explanations and they start plotting again but it’s an uphill road.
This book is full of drama and passion, as per Siobhan Davis’ style. In this book, she surpassed the plot twists and surprises, and kept me riveted and tense as I read about Abby and her attempts to overcome and defeat her father’s nefarious scheme. When you think there’s a light at the end of the tunnel, another complication arrives, another heartbreak is revealed. At the end of the day, there is a strong element in this story: hope and determination. Even though the odds are against her, Abby perseveres and keeps on fighting for her freedom. She loves and forgives and accepts and moves on. With all the many characters in the series, Abby is the undoubted star, the heroine and a warrior princess. This is the strongest book I’ve read by this author, and the most potent. I was in shock when it ended and gasping for the finale!
It just gets more and more shocking! What Abby was made to go through was shocking, and the men surrounding her… well those who try to protect her always keep her in the dark. And that person who is supposed to be her father, well I’ve never despised a book character as much as I despise him! I hope he gets his well-deserved ending soon!! He is truly despicable!
We know the only one for Abby is Kaiden, but now we see Charlie spill out his feelings. But I’ve been wondering if they are genuine or not, or does Charlie have his own agenda?
Overall I have enjoyed it and I know I will see more of a similar level of angst and shock in the following book.
(I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book)
This book will have you laughing and in tears. It was great to see them build their relationship and grow its intensity I couldnt put it down. I hated to see it end!
