My brother was right. I always wanted my own Willow Girl. What happened on that island didn’t break me. It twisted me. Corrupted me.Made me into a monster.Although, I guess it’s true what she says. You can’t become something that wasn’t inside you all along. This was always going to happen. I was always going to take Amelia Willow. History and destiny sealed her fate. Sealed both of ours. For … destiny sealed her fate. Sealed both of ours.
For months, I’ve been waiting.
Watching.
Preparing.
And tonight, everything will change.
Because tonight, I’ll collect my own Willow Girl.
Author’s Note: Twisted is a standalone spinoff of the Dark Legacy Duet. No cliffhanger!

While reading Dark Legacy Duet, I couldn’t not pay attention to Gregory, that sexy, smart, sassy, dark character.. I wanted to undestand him, to know his story and our amazing author gave us the chance to “enter” his soul… Yes, he is dark, conflicting, TWISTED, but yet he is such a charming man that we cannot not fall for him. He is like a storm, that swept away Amelia, creating tormenting, yet beautiful story of lust, love and forgivness.
A broken monster and his angel. Perfect explanation of the story!
One night, one ancient ritual, changed the lives of so many forever. In Taken and Torn, we watched Sebastian and Helena fight, eventually succumb, and love wholeheartedly. Their passion couldn’t die, no matter how unlikely their happily ever after seemed. We also witnessed Gregory’s loneliness and his deep longing for some of that. Some of anything. Someone to call his own.
I will reap my own Willow Girl.
When we last saw Gregory, he was hurt, broken and angry. He also had a plan – Amelia Willow. What he didn’t expect was to find someone who was just as broken as him, who mirrored his same longing. Both were obsessed with the reaping and it was always meant to come to this.
It’s wrong.
I’m wrong.
Perverse.
Twisted.
Natasha Knight gave us a story that fed us the almost convoluted thoughts of a man and made us understand his motives. Gregory was always hard to ignore and he was the clear star in this story. I loved how surprised he was about his feelings and how the author showcased how he came to terms with all that he’d been through. Twisted was sexy and intense and only reaffirmed my love for the bad guy.
After I read Taken and Torn, I wanted Gregory’s story so bad. And now, Natasha Knight has delivered his book perfectly. Gregory and Amelia are two broken and twisted souls. I was hooked from the first page and basically read this in one evening! The emotions were gripping and will keep the reader engrossed. I really can’t say to much without giving spoilers but I will say that you MUST read Taken and Torn first. If you don’t, you will be lost as to how Gregory and Amelia come together. It’s dark, it’s delicious and oh so depraved but if you are a lover of dark romance, this will be the book for you. This whole little series will be one of my favorites of this year!
Wow, what a great book! I devoured this in one sitting and loved the hot chemistry between Amelia and Gregory. I definitely recommend it!!
OMG. I need to catch my breath. I have literally been obsessed with the Scafoni brothers since Taken and Torn and knew that Gregory Scafoni would have an amazing story to tell. Lord did he deliver and then some!! Like all Natasha Knight stories, Twisted was sexy, intense and full of moments that completely took me by surprise. I was addicted from the first page and loved how emotionally compelling this story was. I never wanted this story to end!
Without giving away any spoilers, you MUST read Taken and Torn before you read Twisted. It is now months after Torn and Gregory Scafoni has immersed himself in another Willow girl’s life – Amelia Willow. Like the Scafoni boy he is, he decides he wants a Willow girl for himself, but he is unprepared for the depth of feelings he would develop for Amelia and how similar they both are to one another.
I absolutely adored how Knight was able to highlight how broken, lonely and damaged Amelia and Gregory were, respectively, but how together, they found the missing pieces they have always been searching for all along. He was darkness and she was light and together they banished the shadows in their past. Gah!! Once again, Knight wrote an amazing story that kept me spellbound and hooked to the very last page. Bravo! 5 stars! ~Ratula
“You were like this strange, beautiful, broken thing. You were in pieces. And all that time, what I wanted, what I was doing, was collecting all those pieces of you and I didn’t even know it.”
Gregory Scafoni is an enigma.
Cruel and monstrous one minute…
Kind and gentle the next.
Will we ever discover the real Gregory Scafoni?
A broken monster and an angel in one.
In Taken and Torn, Gregory has his place, he plays by the rules until the rules don’t suit him. But is that really the case? Is there more at play here than we realize? What must it be like, to live with the knowledge of the things expected of you based on an age old family feud/curse, and then be the youngest son…powerless to alter them? Or was he?
“My brother was right. I always did want my own Willow Girl.”
Twisted is full of heart-breaking, gut-wrenching emotional discovery.
You can choose to do better, you can choose to be better and I am in awe of Gregory’s choices.
I know Twisted is a spin off of The Dark Legacy Duet, but I can’t recommend highly enough that you take the full journey. Taken, Torn and then finally Twisted, you will walk away truly believing in the power of love.
Twisted by Natasha Knight is the story of Gregory and Amelia which we meet in the previous books, Taken and Torn. This is their story which can be a standalone book, but I do feel you would enjoy this one more reading the other books to understand them better. Gregory was our tragic hero wanting something that he never really had…love. Amelia too was a tragic heroine that was looking for more. Both broken but together they started to heal and find what they both needed. This has been a dark romance but it still has moving parts that just want them to find their happiness. I have really enjoyed this series and will be looking for more books from this author. Loved it.
Gregory and Amelia’s story was very much worth waiting for.
With it’s defeated hero and damaged heroine this book had plenty of deliciously dark and dangerous moments to enjoy. Whilst it isn’t the very darkest of reads, it did have enough grit to draw me in and hold my attention. Twisted is a great read, I was engaged by the plot, entranced by the writing and captivated by the protagonists.
I adored Gregory, even though he was a bit of an a-hole, in truth maybe a lot of one. Moreover he had a vulnerable side, a deprived and neglected little boy element, that meant you just couldn’t help falling for him. Amelia was so easy to like, she wasn’t the toughest of heroines, but she held her own and picked her battles wisely. Better still she was perfect for Gregory.
This unlikely pair somehow filled a need in the other, whilst also having their own wants met. I’m not quite sure how the author convinced me of the connection and eventual love between this pair, but she most certainly did. There was just something so special about them, an intangible but deeply emotional connection that bound their souls together.
Whilst this is an 18+ read due to sexual content, it is one I am only too happy to recommend to friends and family alike. Whilst it can be read as a standalone, it would be better enjoyed after reading Taken and Torn as these provide much needed backstory. I’d also love to see a book for Matteo, he really intrigued me, not to mention Ethan and Lucinda’s stories don’t yet seem complete!
One night–a moment in time but life times in the making–irrevocably twisted together the lives of both Gregory and Amelia. Neither can forget, or heal. Both are haunted. Both are broken. One wants to move on and one just wants his own Willow Girl.
Oh Gregory, Gregory…..Gregory! You remained an enigma to me through Taken and Torn, Were you bad? Were you good? I had hope that you’d be able to escape the perversion that seems to run in your genes. I watched you bend to it, run from it, and then, in Twisted, I watched you cave to it. I watched you take your own Willow Girl. But what you didn’t count on, was Amelia and that maybe, just maybe, she wasn’t who you expected and that you weren’t the man you believed yourself to be.
A perverse and twisted family curse binds the Scafoni men and the Willow women. For generations both families have caved to this curse, believing they had no choice or as I believe, used this curse as an excuse to act on their darkest desires. Greed, Power and lust are impressive forces and never bring out the best in human behavior.
Twisted is an impassioned, disturbing, and touching story of two people, two families, learning to navigate their perverted family history, to make their own choices, and begin the process of accountability and healing. I suspect this families story isn’t over. There is still so much left to understand and characters left to torture hold accountable. 😉
Wow! Before I say any more if you haven’t read the Duet Taken and Torn you really should before reading Twisted. There are many references which will make more sense if you have. These books are so worth it!
It all began with a barbaric ritual between the Scafoni and Willow families. The last reaping tore a gaping hole in the Scafoni family. Brothers and sons were ready to tear each other’s throats out. Members were disowned, scattering to lick their wounds.
This is Gregory’s story, he implemented his own devious plot to win a Willow girl. Who knew their story would unfold through the pages of a sketchbook. Betrayal is a heinous crime and he has been betrayed by too many members of his own family and those he thinks are close. In the dark of night, his demons are burned to ashes.
Amelia has been left flailing ever since the reaping took place. Unable to cope with the archaic agreement and missing her sister, she leaves her family. She finds herself backed into a corner with very little choices. All she has in life are her sketches, the pictures that are etched in her mind. Amelia is shrouded in a darkness that glows brightly within. Until he takes her, but things are never as they seem. Although she’s being drawn toward the truth she can’t see through the fog.
The finale to the Dark Legacy Series that completely ties it all together, the Scafoni and Willow families, now blended. So happy that Gregory has his own story. All of the characters stayed true to their nature while a few others were added keeping the storyline “new”. This book was definitely on the “mild”side as far as the dark aspect compared to the other two books and I feel like there were things within that could have used a bit more depth but overall a good story. Natasha never disappoints.
Gregory!!!!! Wow..talk about gripping! I loved it. Love the haunting story! My heart broke for both
Twisted
By: Natasha Knight
Narrated by: Michael Pauley, MacKenzie Cartwright
Finally, Gregory gets his story! While this is a stand alone spin off, if you want to get the full effect, it’s best listened to after the Dark Legacy Duet. We first meet Gregory in Taken, as we learn about the Willow girls and the legacy, we see how damaged Gregory becomes. This story lets him find his own way. After leaving the island, Gregory twisted soul yearns for his own Willow girl. The best revenge is to go after Amelia, Helena’s younger sister. But what he doesn’t know is she is just as damaged as he is. Natasha Knight’s tale takes us through the mind of Gregory, his tortured soul, how he takes it out on Amelia and how she responds to him. It’s dark, dangerous and delicious!
Narration of this story is impeccable. Michael Pauley plays the dark tortured soul to a “T”, feeling his pain with all the emotions and inflections of his voice. He is the perfect cast for this role. Opposite him is MacKenzie Cartwright with the same ability to pull us into Amelia’s pain and yearn for the happiness she seeks. I love narration teams that have the ability to let us feel the characters and these two could not have been a better match.

I’m so pleased that Gregory got his own story. Throughout Taken and Torn I found him intriguing, and dare I say that he held a piece of my heart in his hand in the latter book.
There seems to be two sides to the Scafoni brothers and I loved seeing the change in them as the story progressed, but I feel I would have liked to have seen more of Gregory’s darker side…. he does have that reputation after all. Although maybe he had already mellowed after his experiences on the island in the duet.
It was lovely to get to know Amelia who was unique but battling her own demons. Of course I loved spending more time with Sebastian and Helena too.
This book was a real page turner as I just needed to know what was going to happen next. I feel the author must be leaving Lucinda’s fate up to our imaginations and I really would have like to know more about Ethan too. I can totally recommend this series for you to read. Please read Taken and Torn before this book. Even though it is a standalone spin-off, knowing the history learned in the duet will increase your enjoyment of Twisted.
4.5 devious stars!!
This is a stand alone book which is like a spin off of “Dark Legacy Duet”, which was Helena and Sebastian’s story. Though I will say Gregory was a huge part in their duet. Like I said this is a total stand alone but to be honest I don’t think this book would feel as whole without reading the other two.
“…Breaking. Broken. Beautiful. A broken monster and an angel in one.”
I knew I was going to fucking love Gregory and Amy’s story. Two broken souls. Amazing!! I think I actually like their story a little better then Helena and Sebastian.
Gregory drives me up a wall. I could always see this other side of him but he could be a raving asshole. Amy seemed like she was broke when I would read parts of her in the other books. But I didn’t realize she is Gregory’s counterpart. This is a definite enemies to lovers.
This author does an amazing job of making you love and hate the same person. She is so descriptive and these houses they are just gorgeous. I can picture every room and every person. This is a great read!!
**I received this book as an ARC and in return gave my honest review**
I loved Gregory Scarfoni’s story! Gregory is bitter and out for his own revenge after Helena chooses his brother Sebastian. He wants his own Willow Girl is is determined to have one and chooses to kidnap Helena’s sister Amelia.
What Gregory does not expect, is to find that in her own way, Amelia is twisted up as much as he is. Their story was not what I expected after reading Taken and Torn, it was even better!!! Gregory and Amelia are perfect together and couldn’t put this book down!
For some reason, I kept pushing this book back. I loved the duet that went with Gregory, to begin with, so maybe I didn’t want it to end. Who knows. However, omg I loved this story. For such a jackass in the duets, he did redeem himself in Twisted.
Gregory wants his own Willow Girl and will do anything to get her, and that means a kidnapping of sorts. Gregory is intended to take his Willow Girl and get everything from her that Helena denied him. However, what he doesn’t expect is his Willow Girl to be so feisty and determined to be precisely what he needs and wants.
Willow Girl- is Helena’s sister Amelia. We met her in the Torn and Taken books. As with Helena in those books, Amelia is so much more than what meets the eye. She is strong, courageous, and the perfect match for Gregory.
I loved these two’s love story when a book makes you cry you know it is good. I will be buying this book in paperback to add to my collection.
Natasha has brought us the story of Gregory Scafoni and Amelia Willow, when no story was expected. I love that she has continued the series and this dark romance makes these broken people feel complete. A page burner, you definitely want to have some time set aside because you won’t be able to put this down!
Twisted is both heart-rending and beautiful, with masterfully crafted prose, scintillating love scenes, and characters that drew me in from the very first word. The depth, heart, and torment Natasha Knight readers have to come to crave brought me on an emotional roller-coaster ride. Such a hard-won but deeply satisfying happily-ever-after. A true must read for dark romance lovers!
Im not gonna lie. After the first two books, I was a little scared to get Gregory’s story. But I quickly fell in love with Gregory and Amelia. Their story is very different from what I thought it would be. Sometimes when you want something bad enough, you have to just make it happen. But there are always two sides to the story. And though I still feel these two families should stay far far away from each other, I think something can be said for some of them. Secrets and Lies. Love and Hate. This series holds it all.
