He hasn’t forgotten her, and she sure hasn’t forgiven him.
Jessica Macks is a she-wolf on the run from a band of murderous rogues. When she finds a job at a shifter bar, it seems like a safe haven from her hunted life on the road. But the minute she walks through the swinging doors of the Blue Moon Saloon and comes face-to-face with the man she once loved, she’s tempted to march right back out. No way, no how is she risking her heart to that infuriating alpha bear again.
Simon Voss thought he lost everything in an ambush months before: his home, his family, his past. His new job at the Blue Moon Saloon is a desperately needed fresh start on life. Then along comes Jessica, the irresistible she-wolf his clan forced him to reject years before. When Simon is obliged to hire Jessica and work side by side with the one woman to ever make his bear go wild, he’s half in heaven, half in hell. He hasn’t forgotten her, and she sure as hell hasn’t forgiven him. Is this just another path to heartbreak or his last chance to claim his destined mate?
TEMPTATION
His darkest fears…her deepest desires.
She-wolf Janna Macks knows trouble when she sees it, especially when it comes in the form of an irresistibly broody cowboy like Cole Harper. Her fledgling pack is already in the cross hairs of a ruthless group of rogues, and falling head over heels in lust with a human will only endanger her loved ones more. The problem is, her wolf knows her destined mate when she sees him — and Cole is it.
Rodeo pro Cole Harper has never felt this off-kilter before. One minute, he’s lusting after Janna, the spunky waitress he can’t get off his mind, and the next, he’s growling at a dark inner voice demanding all kinds of crazy things — like howling at the moon and claiming Janna as his own. There’s only one thing stronger than the overwhelming need for Janna, and that’s the fear that without her, he’ll succumb to the strange inner beast wrestling for control of his haunted soul.

Book 1 of Blue Moon Saloon by Anna Lowe
Where to start? I absolutely loved this book but to get the full story or beginning YOU MUST READ PREQUEL PERFECTION SHORT STORY BEFORE DAMNATION. This is a short story about how Simon first meets Jessica but it just beautifully starts everything off but when you start book 1 damnation you are thinking of a great romance that started so well but this first book throws you so much.
Simon is a bear shifter but after been away from his clan with his brother for some time he returns to find them all dead. He and his brother end up as cook and bartender at the wild owned Blue Moon Saloon.
Jessica and Janna are wolf shifter that turn up in town and running for 6 months after a rogue kills their whole pack.
Such great twists in this series and I’ve only ready two books and one was a short story.
The audiobook is fantastic Kelsey Osborne is a favourite of mine and narrates so beautifully. If you love shifter series that look no further then Anna Lowe
Book 2 of Blue Moon Saloon by Anna Lowe
This book carries on directly after the first, Janna is a waitress at the Blue Moon Saloon and become attached to a alcoholic customer Cole.
While there she starts to try and sober him up, she’s worried about him.
After the Saloon is attack Cole becomes injured but no one realises he was bitten by a werewolf. After this Janna wolf starts making demands about mating.
I absolutely love this book especially with Cole being a broken cowboy that needs serious tlc.
Janna has a very dark upsetting pass but she’s always on the brighter side.
I absolutely love this series but this book is my favourite at the moment but after ready blurb for book 3 it might be tough to choose.
At the moment I’m listening to this on audible with the awesome Kelsey Osborne as a narrator.
Even though I bought the books I grabbed this box set too.
A fantastic way to jump into this series.
If you have not picked up this series do yourself a favour and get this brilliant starter deal. Box sets are a great way to keep a series together for easy access.
Two really gripping stories that hold your attention till the end.
You cannot go wrong with this author.
Book 1 – DAMNATION.
I read the prequel PERFECTION before this book and it was so sweet. You do not need to have read it but it makes what happens in this book so much sadder.
Jessie has done nothing wrong but been left by her unmated mate. She has suffered 3 years of hurt and then things get worse. Her pack is wiped out by purist rogues that only her and her sister Janna escaped from.
Jess believes she could have done more to help her pack and her guilt at not fighting enough, on top of not being wanted by her mate and living on the run has taken her from being a feisty she wolf to a shadow of herself.
Simon thought he was doing the right thing in hurting Jessie and turning her away and making her hate him. What a ninny.
Why do males not understand that talking can solve so much. IF Simon had told Jessie what was going on, IF he had not hurt her so bad, they may have been able to be together and their respective pack and clans may have been able to help and protect each other from the rogues. Big IF I know.
All in all a very enjoyable read with a good storyline that is leading to a series of books for some of the other lovely characters we meet in this book.
Really want Soren to have his HEA.
Now for a gripe.
I always get annoyed at the heroines when they just accept I’m sorry as the end of all the problems with very little talking about why the idiot male thought he could make all the decisions in a relationship. Not just happens in this book but others too. I always want a lot of grovelling and super good apologies to make things right. They are shifters after all. Nothing is more important than a mate.
The men were a bit stupid running a red light, instead of getting there to protect the girls, they caused an accident which delayed them precious minutes.
Book 2 – TEMPTATION.
I have fallen in love with this series and was so looking forward to this book. Do yourself a favour and read the other books first, you will get a better feeling for this story.
I loved the background we are given on Cole, oh my, what a man. Loved him.
I was really enjoying Janna and Coles story until Janna became some stupid idiot who did not tell Cole what was happening to him. He thinks he is going mad and she may have saved him some grief if she had explained it all.
There are 3 other people this has happened too but does she ask for advice, NO, she just waffles along risking Coles life. Janna knows how close to the change he must be but she agrees to meet Cole to go dancing, at a rough, rowdy bar. Of course she gets taken by the PURITY blue bloods who have been sending threatening letters which she has told no one about.
Really, a smart savvy woman suddenly does stupid things. Just because she is a wolf she is not invincible. I get annoyed when this happens. They enter this TSTL (too stupid to live) universe for some reason.
All in all this was a good gripping story but would have been better if Janna had stayed the same smart woman we met in book 1.
I loved the ending with the reveal of Sarah, Soren’s lost mate. Wow, that looks like it is going to be a doozy.
This collection contains:
1 – Damnation
2 – Temptation
Two PNRs with a down to earth, relatable storyline, characters with enough flaws and quirks you feel their someone you want to know personally, a plot that runs through the story cohesively. What more could you ask for? Oh, well, I guess maybe sexual chemistry, romance and a bit of drama is definitely there as well. This was a good beginning.

I have read the bonus edition and I had no idea how different it was from this one.
The fight scene towards the end of the story is in the bonus edition.
It is missing in this edition.
It is all set up to happen then skips it entirely jumping to the next chapter.
Even though it is well written and the flow is smooth and fast paced, I had to deduct big time for that.
That fight scene is referred to in the next chapter and it was a big part that REALLY needed to be included in this edition.
Temptation: Reckless Desires

It was a good read & slightly better than the 1st as far as action. However, both stories really could have been so much better.
Both Cole & Janna were interesting, but the author ended up making Janna look unintelligent and naive.
This happened in two ways.
1st ~ toward the beginning of the story when she realized what was going on with Cole and didn’t tell any of the people in her life that could have helped. Her reasons for not saying anything were not reasonable nor realistic.
2nd ~ there is a great fight scene towards the end of the story. The things Janna Didn’t DO and her thoughts were ridiculously unwise & unintelligent. This lack of adult reasoning started long before the fight scene and continued to the end of it.
If the author had written more mature thoughts and actions the story would have been massively better.
The adult intimate scenes were pretty good.
The bull scene was awesome.
There is a lot of good, but not great.
