Thrilling, witty, and oh-so-sexy, Lynsay Sands’ Argeneau novel brings together a beautiful Immortal and the man who is her destiny… enjoying some overdue freedom. A fling would be fun. A life mate can wait. Yet to Elspeth’s surprise, her landlady’s hot grandson checks both boxes.
Wyatt fell instantly in love with Elspeth four years ago. He’s stunned to run into her again, especially as she has no memory of him. Then again, there are a lot of things about Elspeth that don’t make sense, like the miraculous speed with which her wounds heal. And the chemistry that transforms every touch into an explosion of desire. But with mysterious “accidents” besieging Elspeth, the ex-Special Forces soldier appoints himself her bodyguard. But time is running out to uncover the truth about her enemies—and rediscover the man determined to love her for eternity.

We discover just how controlling Elpeth’s mother (Martine) has been throughout her life. Elspeth had met her life-mate Wyatt some years ago but had had the fact removed from her memory so that when they meet again she has no recollection of him.
There is a series of attacks on Elspeth and the others and the story eventually resolves itself happily.
I have just re-read all the current books over the last few weeks and have loved all of them. I am looking forward to the upcoming books.
Twice Bitten by Lynsay Sands is her newest Argeneau novel. After 27 novels the series just gets better. The characters are amazing and so full of life. I’ve always loved that Mrs Sands brings in characters from throughout the series to pull every one together. Twice Bitten has some of our favorite pass characters, Aunt Marguerite is back and helps save the day again. Every family needs an Aunt Marguerite. Of course for every family that has a wonderful family advocate there’s always the family member that everyone wishes would just leave them alone. When the person is powerful, older and immortal what do you do?
Elspeth Pimms is 142 years old but you’d think she was only 16 according to how her mother, Martine treated her. Elspeth had to run to another country, heck another continent just to be free and able to live as an adult. The amount of betrayal my Elsbeth mother is amazing. Martine takes controlling, meddling, and overprotective to a whole new height. As if Martine wasn’t enough for Elspeth to deal with now it seems someone wants her dead. Throw in finding your lifemate while trying to become your own person for the first time in 142 years, fighting to be free, and running for your life just how much can one person be expected to endure?
Keep in mind that this book is taking place in the same timeline as the North American enforcers are in Venezuela fighting against Dr. Dressler. This novel doesn’t advance the storyline that was left off at the end of Immortal Unchained. I sincerely hope that the next book picks up the main storyline again.
I received an ARC from the publisher. This is my voluntary honest review.
Twice Bitten by Lynsay Sands is book 27 in the Argeneau series. This is the story of Elspeth Argeneau and Wyatt MacKay. This can easily be a standalone book.
Elspeth is part of the Argeneau family and even if she is a 140 year old vampire she has lived a somewhat shelter life but always a controlling one by her mother. Elspeth mother had taken the lost of her family hard and became obsessed with keeping Elspeth save and in her control. But Elspeth became free of her mother but knows she will come back to try to take control of her again. So in the meantime Elspeth is enjoying freedom and not planning on doing any commitments other than helping her Vampire group. But then she meets Wyatt who she finds attractive but it also seems he may be her life mate…which is a big commitment. Along with that there have been accidents happening to her also. Wyatt met Elspeth a few years back and fell in love with her but she has no memory of their meeting. I so enjoyed watching Wyatt and Elspeth story come together!
Ms. Sands writing is always so great and is a must read for sure!
A fun, fast read that you’ll want to devour! This story is a sweet continuation on the theme in this series, but it is short and sweet. It’s sexy and hot as well, but it is tastefully done and is smoothly incorporated into the larger story. The introduction of Loren and Gordon brings a deeper context to the plot. Reading about how Dove stalks the twin vampires was amusing as I pictured Thelma from Scooby Doo investigation suspicious behavior. It was fun, fast, and easy to read and finish in one sitting.
I loved that book !!!!
Love it cannot wait to read the next in the series
This was a bit different from the other books in the series. But still a good read. Usually I get a laugh out moment, but this one didn’t have it.
I love this author and this book kind of ended on a cliffhanger which I did NOT like. We’re going back to the beginning almost and looking for some of the originals, which is bringing in new “blood” and old characters but at the same time putting some of our really awesome ones in peril. I don’t know that I like this idea. I’ll go with it because it’s this particular author and she hasn’t failed me yet, but I have to say that I’m putting a lot of faith in her to knock it out of the park. Hopefully, she will bring all the characters we’ve come to know and love back in the upcoming novels.
Brilliant with humorous aspects beautiful love story
Excellent story
I love this series!
Great read
TWICE BITTEN (Argeneau Vampire Series #27) is the first book in this series that I have read. It is a quick, easy, fun read. I enjoyed the premise of the immortals and the interesting characters Lyndsey Sands has created. NOW I HAVE to read more.
I have the entire series so far they are fantastic!
I absolutely love her books. I have almost all of them. One of my favorite authors
Lynsey Sands never disappoints. One of my favorite authors. A must read.
Love this series. Read in order for understanding the characters, which are in all of the stories.
I just love Lynsay Sands Immortal series. They are so steamy and a great read.
Elsbeth wanted to be out on her own, but her mother was very domineering, and watched her children.
Elsbeth met Wyatt and they fell in love; but when she got hjome, Elsbeth’s mother erased Wyatt from her mind. So, when they met again, Elsbeth didn’t recognize him.
I just love this series!
She is one of my favorite authors. I will read anything she writes. Always good.
