For seventeen years Alexis “Lexi” Turner has been running. From foster homes, creeps on the street and the law.Lexi is a survivor, she has spent her whole life moving from one abusive foster home to the next, until she decided to take charge of her own life. Living in abandoned buildings, couch surfing and working at a strip clubs are huge improvement on what she had before. All she needs is …
All she needs is enough money to feed herself, finish high school and hopefully go to college.
She has a plan.
That is until she is caught and sent to live with a strange foster family up-state, —her new high school isn’t much better.
Rafferty King was forced like Lexi to this new foster home, but he fits in better. And that’s saying something for a total misfit. Hot as hell and getting into fights, while ignoring her existence. Whatever.
Then there are the twins Ranger and Maverick, also known as “The joker and The Loner.” They know who she is and give her the new girl treatment she is all too familiar with.
And how can a history teacher look that hot, there should be rules against that kind of thing. But there is something about Galen Donovani, that has Lexi feeling safe when he is near.
While everyone else avoids him.
What the hell is going on in the state of Washington. And why are there so many wolves roaming at Port Willow High!
17+ RH shifter and vampires.

This book ya’ll! THIS BOOK! Twice Bitten is like the perfect blend of all things paranormal, all the angsty goodness & reverse harem and I could not put it down! Lexi has not had the easiest go at life… refusing to stay in foster home after foster home choosing her own path on her own but when she’s caught… she is thrown full force into an unknown world… a world she had absolutely no idea about. And all the angst driven, mysterious events that occur, the unexpected yet undeniable connections she forms after she lands in her new normal…. Well I guarantee you’ll be burning through the pages to find out what will happen next! SO GOOD

I thoroughly enjoyed this book. Lexi’s character was very well written and she is very intriguing and mysterious. All of her to-be mates are also hot and alluring. Though, if you asked me, I would normally say that 4 mates is an overkill. But in this case, all her mates make sense and bring different emotions and feelings into this story. If that was not enough, there is an M-M possibility with Galen and Mav’s connection. I can’t wait to see what happens next. Who/what is Lexi ? I have a feeling Raff is so much more than a puny red wolf. I wonder what will happen when he is 18. What about Galen and Mav ? I need ‘Blood Moon’ in my hands right now ?
I would definitely recommend this book to all paranormal lovers.

This book is okay, but not for me. It makes me feel like I’m 13 again and listening to the girls going on and on about which guy is cute….I wonder if he likes me? I didn’t like the teenage drama back then and even less so now. These characters are supposed to be nearing 18 and supernaturals! The maturity of the characters done match their age and or DNA.
I finished this series it’s an RH and it was full of linteresting characters that pulled at your heart and makes you feel like you are part of their world. Thank you Belle Harper.
Great start to a new series, can’t wait to read the next book in this series,
4.5 stars for Twice Bitten by Belle Harper. This is the first book in the New Moon Series. This is a slow burn reverse harem romance. This is also my first book from this author but it will not be my last. I was hooked the second I started reading. Lexi is a bada**even though she has had a rough life in the foster system. I found this series to be different from others in this genre. While, I would consider this a slow burn, it still has a lot of sexual tension. For me I felt that Lexi, Raff, Ranger, Maverick and Galen all make sense . They each bring something different to the group. It’s almost like there is a reason for each of them to be there. I am going to warn you if you can’t do cliffhangers, then wait to start this until the next book is released. I REALLY NEED THE NEXT BOOK.
This book was everything, supernatural, vampire and werewolves, with an ending, of book one that gives you happy tears; I loved the book so much that I’m very excited for book number two, the feelings were so good, I’m Team Ranger and Galen all the way!
Lexi has been on her own and on a constant run her whole life. Now she has Ben caught again and being moved to another foster home with a guy. This interesting, exciting and intriguing reverse harem about shifters and vampires was fun to read. Good read.

Brilliant read. I loved the story and most of the characters. I’m looking forward to the next book. 5*.
Fun story!
#WhyChoose This a really good, fun read. Ended with some craziness, but can’t wait to see where it goes from here! On to the next! #HappyReading
Runaway Lexi gets caught and dragged off to a foster home unlike any other. Her whole world is about to change in more ways than one. You can get the sense of who the guys she’ll end up with pretty quickly and POV rotates between the main characters giving you a peek further into them all. The dynamic between the guys is something I can’t wait to see more as it develops. As we get into the story questions pop up faster than we get answers and the biggest of all.. What is Lexi?…
The cliffhanger is brutal and I can’t wait for more.

Belle Harper is a new author for me and if Twice Bitten is anything to go by, she is going to be on my TBR list whenever something new comes out. Twice bitten follows the story of seventeen-year-old Alexis ‘Lexi’ Turner, runaway, foster kid and general butt kicker…. this girl is not scared to tell you what she thinks and will do anything to survive. When she is caught by the police and taken to a new foster home, she decides to hang around, after all, she has food, shelter and wants to finish school. But not everything is what it seems in her new town, what with every male sniffing her all of the time and acting weird…Lexi is about to find out just how different she is and maybe who she is!
This was a great reverse harem style paranormal book. I loved that all of the ‘harem’ males were different and that by the end of the book I’m actually left wanting to know more about Maverick, Ranger, Galen and Rafferty as they are all so unique and all bring something different to Lexi’s life. The fact that she fell hard for Raff and wanted to slowly explore her feelings with the rest of the guys was a plus for me as it made the character development just more believable. I also loved the snarkiness, jokes and sweetness of all of the characters, even when they were all trying to protect themselves as well as Lexi having moments of being a normal seventeen-year-old (i.e. sleepovers and teenage angst) which made her a more relatable character.
The book has certainly left me wanting to know more about what is going on with Lexi and where everyone fits into the story as of course there’s a cliff-hanger! Now I’m just going to have to wait to see what happens! A great read that I totally recommend!

Book review of Twice Bitten (New Moon Series Book 1) by Belle Harper …
This was a new author to me and I am SO glad I gave it chance!
It was well written and I LOVED Lexi. She is fierce and no-nonsense. I like she takes no shit from anyone and even puts an Alpha in his place once or twice.
I’m looking forward to the next book!
I received this as an Advance Reader Copy with the hopes I would like it and review it.

There was a diverse cast of characters in the story. They each brought their own strengths to the table to bring balance into the relationship they were building. It did end in a cliffhanger and left some aspects of the relationships underdeveloped with at least two of the guys. I did struggle with some things. Mostly it was the way the relationships between alexis and the guys was built. The first one Raff, was the only one that I felt was natural in its progression. The others were added after the fact which I usually don’t mind, but it felt some what forced due to outside involvement and some pushy behavior. If it hadn’t been for outside intervention I do believe there would have been too much stacked against Ranger for it to happen on its own. I was able to finish the read, and enjoy it for the most part. I’m unsure if I would want to read the next one and if I do it’ll be out of curiosity.
